3 WEEKS LATER...
"Is that now a bit...tight!?" I cried. I held onto my hips as my maiden, Garthila, pulled on the threads of my corset. "No, my lady. It has be this tight, I would have thought you've worn a corset before?" "Yes I have, too my comfort but this is so tight, I can barely breath!"
I am currently in my dress fitting. Garthila is putting on my corset to go under my dress and soon I will get to try on my official wedding dress. I picked it out and tried it on a few times but i've barely seen it. Turns out it's much harder to find a wedding dress to fit a hobbit.
"And were done. That should be right enough." She tied up my corset and stepped off the platform we were standing on. "Should be!?" Garthila didn't listen to my complaints so she left me in the room alone in a corset and my undergarments. Great. I'm freezing and now i'm alone. Whilst Garthila was gone I looked at myself in the mirror. There wasn't much to see right now but I couldn't help but feel butterflies. I can't believe this is happening.
"I have your dress, my lady." I could see Garthila in the mirror holding a handful of white fabric. "Is that it?!" "Yes." She giggled. "Oh it's beautiful!" I ran off the platform, across the room and held onto the corner of my dress. I ran my thumb over the silk dress. I can't believe this is mine. I picked it out a while ago but it was never really mine, now, it's all mine.
"Do you want to try it on?" She asked "Of course." "Alright." I stepped onto the platform. Garthila came behind me, she was a bit taller than me so it was easier for her to slip the dress over my head. I reached my hands over my head, she slid it down my head and over my eyes. I was submerged in white silk but when the dress came off my face my jaw dropped. It was stunning.
(Y/N)'s DRESS:
I ran my hands down the dress and admired it, completely taken away. It flowed past my ankles and pooled the platform under me."I feel like a princess." I smiled. "That was our goal. I'm glad your happy about it." "I love it." "Well, looks like everything's ready for tomorrow. You'll have to be back here in the morning to get ready."
Gathila pulled the dress over my head and hung it on a hanger. I slipped on my deep purple tunic, my black breeches and my boots. "Thank you, Garthila." I bowed my head. "Its been my pleasure." She picked up her dress and curtsied. I grabbed my satchel from the stool it sat on and left my chamber. Garthila said she would have everything packed and gone by the time I come back to get ready for tonight, our rehearsal dinner. Our whole bedroom has turned into a crazy brides dressing room, poor Kili hasn't been able to come in all day.
When I walked down the hall I ran my fingers along the cold stone and old ruins. It wasn't until I passed the courtyard that I realised I haven't seen Bilbo or Kili all day. Now i'm sure they're both busy running errands but I can't wonder help but wonder where they are. The company has been busy all day decorating. They took it upon themselves to decorate the mountain, it's a huge job but I believe in them. Maybe I should ask them?
On my way to the dining hall I checked every door I came across yet I found no one. I continued to walk to the dining hall were I luckily found the company. I raised an eyebrow at what they were doing. With Bombur being at the bottom, they made a huge dwarf ladder. They were standing on top of each other's shoulders, Dori, at the top, was trying to hang something.
They were all bickering and shouting at each other. "How much do you weigh?" Nori complained. "Your heel is diggin' into my shoulder! You big lump!" Dwalin growled. They all wobbled and nearly fell over at one pint but they re-gained their balance.
As they did...what they were doing I looked around the dining hall. It looked amazing. There were flowers everywhere to my request and banners hung. The table ran down the whole room with candles and centrepieces. There were plates, cutlery and chalices laid out for each spot and they even had little paper tissues folded neatly, that's Balin's doing, maybe with help from Ori.
Tables ran around the wall of the hall where i'm guess food will be set for everyone to grab. And, of course, there were many barrels of what i don't doubt is ale. "And... we are...done!" Dori threw his hands up in victory. The others cheered. How on earth are they going to get down?
They cheered until they wobbled again. They all tightened they grip on each other's ankles. They all screamed and cried when the line of them bent and wobbled. And then they went down. They all yelled and fell into a big pile. They groaned and pushed each other. "Get your boot out my back!" Bofur tried to push Bombur off him. "Sorry!" Bombur rolled around.
Balin managed to stand up and brush himself down. He looked up snd spotted me standing by the door with a grin on my face and my hands crossed over my chest. "(Y/N)! Glad you could join us!" He opened his arms.
"Hello Balin, looks like you have been busy." He looked down to the dwarfs. "It has been, hard work working with these guys, don't know how I manage to do it everyday." He shook his head and I chuckled. "Well the hall looks amazing, you all did a good job." I walked over to the company and helped Bifur up off the ground. He said something in dwarfish and smacked my back. I'm guessing he thanked me.
"Is there anything we can help you with (Y/N)?" Balin said from behind me. "You can actually, have seen either Bilbo or Kili, haven't seen them all day?" They all looked to each other. "Nope, haven't seen 'em. We will tell you if we do." Oin fixed his beard with stuck up in places. I narrows my eyes at Oin. He's acting odd, they all are. "Okay, thanks. See ya." "Bye (Y/N)." Oin waved.
I continued to search the mountain, unsuccessful. I decided to give up and stay put. I was deep in the mountain where the armour rooms are. It was much darker down here but I had brought a candle with me. I strolled down the labyrinth of halls until I found a spot where no one would find me. I slumped against the wall and slid down the wall.
During the Battle of the Five Armies this is where I came when Thorin was sick, no one ever comes down here so I always found it a place where I could seek solitude and think to myself. And just as I expected, no one was down here. I've been so busy for the past few weeks, I haven't had much time to myself.
Today is my last day as a Baggins, I'm still finding that hard to process. Less than a year ago life was normal and I never would have imagined I would find the love of my life and get married, I never even thought about marriage, I was still reading my books and skipping down the path towards the lake.
I used to be a young hobbit, curious about the outside world, that's why I always read about it. If I got bored of the Shire all I had to do was open a book and I was suddenly in another world carrying a new story and able to escape reality.
Now, im pretty sure i've seen it all and, it's an odd thing to say, but I'm a women now. I've grown as a person, i'm stronger, more intelligent, more skilful. And I've found a family. It used to be just me and my father, my mother died was I was very young so she never in the picture.
I've never seen what she looks like, i'm pretty sure Bilbo took all her pictures down, he was pretty depressed after her death but he did get better and i'm glad he did. I've never asked about her and I don't plan on it, I don't want to put my father back in a hole, a hole he won't be able to come out of. I don't know what she's like but i'm certain she would be very proud of the hobbit Bilbo and become and the woman I am now.
I sat there on the floor with my thoughts until I remembered the rehearsal dinner. I should go up to my room and get changed, hopefully Garthila has packed up and hopefully Kili hasn't gone in or else he would have seen my dress. I pulled myself off the floor and made my way to the main part of the mountain. When I finally saw light I blew out my candle and placed I back in the candle holder I found.

I was walking past Dwalins chamber until I heard a door open ahead. I looked up from the concrete to Bilbo and Kili. Bilbo stepped out first with Kili right behind him. Kili smacked Bilbo on the back and said something so him I couldn't hear. Bilbo said something back. After a few words shared between the two before my presence was noticed.
"Ah, (Y/N)." Bilbo clapped his hands together. I approached them. Kili wrapped an arm around me, squeezed me beside him and placed a kiss on the top of my head. "Hello, my One" He smiled. "Hi, Kili," I placed a hand on his chest "Is everything okay?" I looked between the two.
"Oh yes everything's fine, Bilbo was just helping me with something." He gestured toward the hobbit. "Okay. Well, if you'll excuse me, i have a dinner to get ready for." I brushed myself down and bowed my head. "I won't be far behind you." Kili slid his hand out of mine, I immediately felt a coldness. "Bye, (Y/N)." Bilbo waved. I returned the wave and made my way to my bedroom.

I'm just about ready for the rehearsal dinner. I have just put on a casual, yet fancy, dress for tonight.
(Y/N)'s DRESS:
I have also just braided my hair is a loose braid so it's out my face. As I stared at myself in my vanity mirror I can't help but feel nervous. What if I mess up? What if I can't even make it through a rehearsal let alone the actual day, the hours are quickly ticking by. But then I try to remember that tomorrow is going to be the best day of my life. Im going to marry Kili for the rest of my life. That makes me beyond excited.
"Are you ready (Y/N)?" Kili called from the bathroom, his voice slightly muffled. "Just about." I clipped on my silver earrings and checked myself one last time. Perfect.
I spun around when I heard the bathroom door creak open and Kili stepped out. He was wearing his usual attire, his more formal tunics and some trousers with his boots. It's difficult nowadays to get him into anything other than that. "You are going to have to wear something other than a tunic some day." I joked placing a hand on my hip, the other gripping onto the edge of my vanity. "I fear tomorrow will be the only day." He smiled.
He placed his hand on my hip and squeezed it. He knocked our heads together and closed our eyes. "I love you." I smiled. "I love you more." He returned the smile. "I doubt that. Now, let's go or we'll be late to our own rehearsal dinner." My hand slid down from his chest, down his arm and onto his hand. I entwined our fingers and pulled him toward the door.

We just arrived to the great hall. The hall is packed with dwarves, many that are unknown to me. I can see the whole company is their formal attire, Dain with his new crown upon his head, my father wearing his fancy dungarees and Dís. Dís was wearing a navy dress that pooled around her on the floor with a dark animals fur wrapped around her neck, I could see her biceps and her abs straining against her dress with big, black boots.
"Hello Dís." I curtsied. She picked up her dress and did the same. When she came back up she had a sheepish smile. "I fear I may have overdressed." She gestured to her long dress. "Nonsense, your stunning." Out of no where Dís lifted up her dress to reveal a dagger strapped to her inner calf. "And a badass too." I smirked. "Right!" Dain called from across the room "Let's get this rehearsal dinner started!" He lifted up his mug and the dinner began.
——————
"Oh my god and that drinking competition between Dain and Bofur was hilarious!" Kili and I laughed at the events of tonight's dinner. "Yeah! And then when Bofur got so drunk he tripped and took the table with him!" Kili burst out in laughter. I knocked against Kili as we both bent over and began bursting out in laughter, we both clutched onto each other, my laugh so hard it went silent and it hurt so much I felt abs forming.
Eventually our laughter died down and we only chuckled, still with a smile on our faces. We've said goodnight to everyone, the dinner is finished, everything went smoothly and now we are walking back to our room. As is everyone else but their chambers are elsewhere in the mountain, some were even still down at the dinner finishing their conversations for the night.
I lifted the latch of our door and pushed it open. I sighed at the mess I had left from getting ready earlier. Earrings on the desk, dresses that I decided not to wear thrown onto the bed, ribbons everywhere and heels spilling out of my armoire. I sighed at the mess I left. I crouched down onto the floor and began to clean everything up as Kili got out of his tunic.
I finally managed to clean everything up. I slumped onto the bed, the sheets under me, the mattress slightly bouncing. "It's been a long day." I exhaled. "It really has, tomorrows going to be even longer." Kili propped himself up on his elbow, without a shirt, facing me. He was smiling at me and starring straight into my eyes. "Your not wrong."
"I can't wait." He smiled. He grabbed onto my waist and pulled me ontop of him. He sat up and I swung my legs on either side of him, straddling him. "I cant wait to count the seconds that go by before the doors swing open to reveal you in your breathtaking gown in the arm of your father. He is going to walk you down the aisle, I am going to swear my life to you, make my promises that I shall keep for all eternity. Once the rings have been exchanged and it is official we are going to party and dance the night away." He brushed a hand through my hair.
"And then what?" I was curious. "Then, when the night is over, I will carry you bridal style to this bedroom and we will celebrate on our own, everything else is to be left outside that door the only thing that should be in this room will be me, you, and our love. Then after many years from now, we will have children-"
"Children?" I chuckled "We're having kids?" "Well of course, two boys and a girl. The boys are going to be archers like their father..." "And our daughter?" I interrupted with a huge smile. "And our daughter," He continued "She will have your breathtaking beauty as well as your brains, that's far greater than mine, and she will be the spitting image of you, inside and out."
"Well that sounds like a future I look forward too. Although I hate to think we have to grow old one day. But until then we will live a fulfilled life and savour every day like it's our own. And the company will be behind us. It's only occurred to me how big a family our children would have, however I fear our numbers may drop over many years." I frowned.
"Nah you don't have to worry about that. They'll never go, that is only what I fear. Balin might actually live out us." We both chuckled in union. Our laughter died down. Kili placed a hand on my head and knocked our heads together. "I just can't believe i'm marrying you. Finally, after so long of waiting it's finally our time." He whispered.
Our lips were just inches from touching so I closed the gap and gently kissed him. He returned the kiss, he ran a hand through my hair, the other travelling down my body. We slowly moved in sync, our heads tilted to opposite sides, our lips interlocked. We eventually pulled away for air and just started deep into each other's eyes.
"We should probably rest, we have a long day ahead of us tomorrow." I brushed a hand through his hair. "I suppose," He paused "I love you, (Y/N), so much." "And I love you too. We're finally getting our happy ending, it's so close. All of this has lead up to now, it's finally our time."
Kili smiled. He sat up and placed a kiss on my temple before he rolled me back onto my side of the bed. He wrapped arm around me and pulled me ridiculously close to him. I snuggled into his chest and fell into a peaceful sleep.
