Authors Note: AHHH! ITS FINALLY TIME! I can't believe my story has come this far, I only expected it to have a few chapters before I give up. If it weren't for all you that have been reading I would not have continued and ended up at the point i am now. I saddens me to say that this story will only have a few chapters left before it is over. I'm still debating different ending ideas but no matter what it is it's going to be amazing and a good way to round off this story and (Y/N), Kili and the company's story.

BYEEEE!

——————

It's finally the day. As I turned over in my bed I was met with my favorite sight. Kili was still sleeping with his arm stretched under the pillow and laying on his stomach with his face facing me and it was beautiful how peaceful he looked. His hair was sprawled across his face and his lips were slightly parted, his gentle breathing barely heard.

I took a moment to admire him before with a smile on my face, reached over to him and placed a kiss on his head. As I pulled away I knew he was awake when his eyes fluttered open and when he saw me beside him a smile stretched across his face. "Good morning, my One."

"Good morning." I mumbled. He placed a soft kiss on my lips and pulled away. "Guess what day it is?" He smiled. I returned the smile whilst rubbing a hand through my hair. "As much as I would love to sit here and stare at your beautiful face," Kili brushed a hand down the side of my face "I have a wedding to get ready for, as do you." "I guess so." Kili rolled off me and I swung my legs over the side of the bed.

Kili didn't bother to change his trousers, but he slipped into a dark grey tunic. He brushed a hand through his messy hair before quickly throwing up into a man bun, checked it in the mirror and finally decided where his fringe would sit. "I guess," He placed a kiss on my head "I'll see you at the altar." "See you then." My face glowed pink. He could do something as easy as smile at me and I get butterflies.

He closed the door behind him and the room went silent. The faint sounds of his footsteps faded away the further away until all I could hear was the ringing of my own ears. I guess I should go get ready too.

Everyone has their jobs this morning. Kili and I have to get ready, the company would have been up since the early hours to get themselves ready and finish the decorating around the mountain. The last I saw everything was perfect. It was a true dwarf ceremony, they even surprised me and added a few hobbit traditions into the decoration. My maids were supposed to meet me in my chamber any minute now so until then I made the bed and ran some cold water over my face. I still need to bathe but the maids would clean me.

———————

I lowered myself into the tub. My maids, Malgon and Garthila, began to wash my body with different soaps and scents that would make me smell nice for hours. It is near the end of winter but it is colder than it has ever been, it's perfect for the wedding, even though it's inside it will be snowing and the lake frozen up. A pure winter setting. We never normally get snow at the Shire so the fact it's been snowing all week has made me beyond excited.

Malgon washed my hair so it was soft and fluffy, my waves more exaggerated. Once I got out the tub and dried I felt much cleaner, I could smell the different scents embedded on my skin. "Are you excited?" Dís smiled. Once I was dressed into my pre-dress outfit Dís came in to help me style my hair and keep my nerves down. I sat was sat in front of my vanity mirror as she did my hair whilst Malgon got my dress.

"Of course, but i'm just as nervous." I confessed. "How come?" We made eye contact in the mirror. "I'm not entirely sure. I guess it's just the thought of being with Kili for the rest of my life, being here for the rest of my life," As soon as I realized what I said I shot my eyes up to the mirror and corrected myself "Not that there's anything wrong with him, I do love him."

She paused and slightly turned me with a hand on my shoulder. "You do want to marry Kili, don't you?" She raised both her eyebrows. "Of course I do! I'll always love him no matter what." "Then what's the problem?" She resumed working with my hair.

"Just about over a year ago I was a child, a young hobbit living with her father in Bag End reading books everyday, making pastries and drinking my cup of tea. But now, I'm a woman, i'm getting married, I will have duties as a princess and a wife. It's overwhelming and hard to live up too," I looked down at my hands which were piled into my lap "I never really knew my mother so I have no idea what i'm doing. I don't know how to be a wife, a mother or a lady. It's scary."

"There's more to life than living up to expectations of others, anyone could tell you that. A woman's life isn't just about being a wife and a mother, it's about focusing on yourself, being yourself. And I am sorry about your mother but I know for sure that you will do amazing, you will learn on the way until you get it right. But please, promise me this, before you focus on anything or anyone else, take care of yourself self first." She grabbed my shoulder and weakly smiled into the mirror. "I promise. Thank you, I needed that."

"I had the same thoughts as you on my wedding," She continued "When I married the boy's father. Oh what a dwarf he was. Got so nervous I almost ran away. But I didn't, and i've never regretted it. I've had my children, lived my life and now I watch my boy live his life, the life he deserves. There not a single day that goes past that I regret not doing something else with my life. You all have had faced very hard challenges, things no one should ever have to go through, but it's all over now, it's your time to shine, sweetheart. Don't take it for granted, believe me, the young years of your life fly by in a blink of an eye before your all old and wrinkly like me." She chuckled.

Dís was much older than me, old enough to be my mother. To be totally honest, she's been the closest mother figure in my life. I haven't known her for very long but since I moved into the mountain she took me in under her wing and loved me like a daughter, and that is what I feel like, I believe she feels the same. "And finally, after all my talking, I am...done!" She held another mirror behind my head so I could see the back of my head. It was beautiful.

(Y/N)'s hair:

"Oh wow." I gasped brushed a hand down it, gently. "I'm so glad you like it." She smiled and her eyes creased. "I've got it." Malgon had returned with my huge dress in her arms. "You took your time." Dís placed a hand on her hip. "Wasn't where I put it," She laid it out on the bed "But, no need to worry, I found it." "Thank God you did or else we would be in a horrible situation." Dís rolled her eyes and unzipped the back of the dress.

"You ready?" She held the dress out of me. "Yep." "Alright then," She looked to Malgon "Give me a hand will ya?" They both worked together to slide the dress over my head. It took a while but I finally managed to find the arm holes and poke my head through the other end of the dress.

I looked up to Malgon and Dís who looked at me with their mouths slightly parted, a smile creeping onto their faces. "What is it? Is something wrong?" I checked the dress. "No." I looked back up to Malgon "You look...breathtaking." "Really?" "Look for yourself, sweetheart." Dís gestured to the mirror. When I looked into the mirror I paused and sucked in my breath. I looked beautiful.

(Y/N)'s dress:

I've never felt more pretty in my life. "I'm happy to say," Dís said "It's time." I turned around to them. I can't believe it. This is it. All of this has led up to this moment. I'm getting married. "Okay, I'm ready."

KILI'S POV:

"You ready, laddie?" Balin asked whilst brushing something off my shoulder. I'm wearing one of my best tunics, once's specially made for the prince and Balin helped the finishing touches. It was all going smoothly until my mother stormed in and decided to brush my hair. She held me down and forced a brush through my hair as Dwalin, Bofur and Gloin were cackling in the corner of the room, my mother is a lot stronger than she looks.

I reached for my bow to shoot them but my mother slapped my hand hard and scowled at me. She then attempted to tie my hair up but that was when I had enough, I stood up and walked out the room with everyone bent over laughing. Luckily, when I came back she had gone so I could finish getting ready. Everyone else but Balin has left and it is finally time.

"Yep. I'm ready." I'm picturing it now. Everyone standing, the music rising and the doors of the hall opening and my fiancé walks through the door. Her hair is going to be perfect, her skin flawless and her dress. God she is going to be beautiful. I tried to erase my mind of her for just a few minutes before I implode from thinking of her too much. I just have to wait 20 more minutes before the ceremony begins and I will see her again. "Alright then, let's go." Balin went first. He closed the door behind us.

When I turned around I got startled when the whole company were standing in a line with beaming smiles on their faces, Ori was practically bouncing on his feet. I gave a small smile. "Hello." "Hi!" Ori waved "Sorry, we're just really excited." My shoulders relaxed. "I'm glad, as am I."

"Everyone's taken their seats, visitors from across Middle-Earth." Dori rolled up a scroll which i'm guessing was his guest list that he insisted on making. "Like who? I've barely seen the list." We all began walking to the wedding hall. Dori pulled out a quill, unrolled the scroll and began to list hundreds of dwarves, so many that I almost regretted asking.

"...And obviously all of us, your mother and King Dain, Master Gandalf, Beorn, Bard and his three children, members of the mountain and a few others that I can't quite seem to remember their names," He patted his chin with the feather of the quill "No bother, we'll find out later."

——————— BILBO'S POV:

(Y/N) should be here any minute. Everyone has taken their seat but I am waiting by the closed doors and waiting for (Y/N). The whole company are the best men so they all waiting in a line by the door with a bridesmaid on their arms. Well, I say that but only Dwalin, Oin, Bifur and Bofur have bridesmaids, Bofurs being his new girlfriend.

The others are doing their final checks, Dori is adjusting Ori's bow tie which he was forced to wear. I'm standing right at the back of the line alone. I'm tapping my foot, fiddling with my hands and playing with my curls. I am very nervous.

I'm handing away my daughter to Kili, yes he is a good man and I trust him with my life as he has save me and (Y/N) on multiple occasions but as a father I will never feel totally okay with letting her go. She used to be my little girl, my daughter and now she's (Y/N) Baggins, an adult, a woman who's finally ready to leave the nest and live her life. I just don't want to be left behind.

"Is everyone ready?" Dís asked us from the front of the line. (Y/N) loves Dís, Kilis mother, I believe she seems her as a mother figure and so do I. If (Y/N) wasn't my daughter and I didn't know her I would say that they were mother and daughter the bond they've created together was incredible. I'm glad (Y/N) has found someone she can see as a mother, I've always felt guilty that she didn't meet her real mother. Even though what happened to my deceased wife was out of anyones control a part of me always feel like it was my fault and I didn't give (Y/N) that important role model in her life.

"Ready!" Everyone called forward at once. The doors opened and I could hear a fiddle playing and people talking. The noise died down as Dís walked down the isle with a hand on Dwalins. Everyone's outfits were very fancy attire as are the guests, considering it is the Prince Kili's wedding, him being a prince and all.

Everyone has gone in and have finished walking down the altar. Kili is already up there so all we need is (Y/N). I checked my pocket watch, the arms ticking and the seconds passing and still no (Y/N). "Where is she?" I tucked it back in my pocket. Suddenly, I saw (Y/N). Wow.

I paused what I was doing, my arm midway from rubbing my head. She is...wow. No words could describe her beauty. That's my daughter. Her dress is gorgeous, her hair perfect and she's standing in front of me with her hands in front of her with big brown eyes. In her hands was a large bouquet of Rosa Peace's, her favourite flower.

"(Y/N)..." I breathed. "Hello, Father," she giggled "How do I look?" I opened my mouth but nothing came out, that was enough for her to giggle again and link my arm. "Are you ready?" She asked me. She guided me to stand in front of the doors, waiting for them to open and reveal the bride. I nodded my head and snapped my jaw shut. A deep breath. (Y/N) took one too. The doors open and everyone stood, they all turn around to (Y/N) and the fiddle played a more romantic tune yet it still fit the dwarvish tradition. We took the first step down the isle.

You could see Gandalf, Beorn and Bard a few feet taller than everyone, they were all smiling with their hands held in front them. There were other familiar faces throughout the audience but (Y/N) face lit up when she saw the company. They were all beaming with smiles, Dwalin was even crying. His face was a blotchy red, even visible past his beard and tears welled at his eyes. He always had a soft spot for my (Y/N).

Then she saw him. I'll never forget that look as it was one that carried so many emotions, yet the absolute love for him was written beautifully all over her face. Just as we made it to the altar, before I left (Y/N) I looked down at the two empty seats at the front, with two pieces of card. THORIN OAKENSHIELD With his silver ring in front of it

And the other said... FILI with Kili's ruin stone next to him. Both of these items belonged to Kili now, he did this. I looked up and Kili was staring at the seats with a hint of sadness in them but when he returned his attention to (Y/N) his face lit up again.

I turned to (Y/N) and patted her arm. "I love you." "I love you too, father." I placed a kiss on her head before I let go of her, she met Kili on the altar, she turned pink at something Kili whispered at her and then everyone including me took their final places. Then the ceremony began. And boy was it an emotional roller coaster.

—————— (Y/N)'S POV:

I kept my eyes on Kili for the whole ceremony. His hair has been brushed and placed in a certain place, he is wearing his fanciest attire and he even put a Rosa Peace by his breast pocket. When I told the company my favourite flower were Rosa Peace's they went to the extreme and made them every flower.

"And with great excitement, I finally get to ask," Balin who was leading the ceremony said "Kili?" Kili held my hand and held it tight. "Kili. Do you take (Y/N) as your wife, your One? Someone who you will protect and stay with through sickness and health?" "I do." He smiled.

"(Y/N). Do you take Kili as your husband, your true love? Someone who you will protect and stay with through sickness and health?" This is it. "I do." Kili squeezed my hand a bit tighter. "Well, I am very excited to say, Kili, (Y/N), I now pronounce you husband and wife," He turned to Kili with probably the happiest smile on his face "You may kiss the bride."

Everyone erupted into a great cheer. The company were all lifting their fits and yelling. Kili turned to me. He grabbed my chin and pulled me in, he kissed me not too hard but passionately. He then placed a hand on my hip and pulled me toward him, I sunk into his body and continued to kiss until we parted for air. He knocked our heads together "We did it." He smiled. "We did." I smiled.

———————

Everyone has now left the wedding hall and making small talk, I decided to do the same and say hello so a few friends. "Gandalf!" I smiled at the tall wizard. He wore his name usual cloak with that same pointy hat. "Miss (Y/N) Baggins!" He enveloped me in a warm hug "Or should I say Mrs (Y/N) Baggins?" He chuckled. I also chuckled.

"How are you (Y/N)? It's been so long since I last visited the mountain, which I am terribly sorry about I have been very busy lately." "No need for apologies, everything's been amazing and I feel great." "Well that's good to hear. Well, I should let you get back to your celebration, I will be toasting to the happy couple some point tonight." He smiled. "I'll see you later, bye Gandalf." I waved. He opened his arms out and bowed. "Until we meet again, my lady."

I walked away from Gandalf and to my next friend. "Master Bard." I swirled my hand and playfully bowed. "(Y/N)!" He crouched down and hugged me "It was a beautiful ceremony, you look very happy." "I am," I twirled my ring around my finger "Where are the kids?" I asked. "Well Bain is..." he looked around "Over there and Sigrid and Tilda I think they ran off to go play in the courtyard. Tilda was excited to see you, you should find her whenever your free." He pointed his finger. "Of course I will."

"It seems you have a lot of people to talk to, I should leave you too it. You and Kili should come back to Lake-Town one day, just stay for a while, me and my children would love to have you." "I would love too, I'll speak to Kili and come as soon as possible. Bye Bard." "Bye (Y/N)." He waved.

I only walked away a few more steps before I noticed someone standing there alone. Legolas. What was he doing here? We invited him for everything him and Tauriel had done for us but I didn't expect him to actually come. I decided to approach him and greet him. "Legolas." I smiled as I bowed my head. He brought down his mug from his mouth and bowed back. "(Y/N)," He addressed "I do believe congratulations are in order."

"How are you enjoying it?" I asked "I know this is nothing like elvish ceremonies." We both lightly chuckled, both trying to ignore the slight awkwardness of barely knowing one another. "It's...different. If i'm being honest here I am surprised I was even offered an invitation."

I looked up at him "Legolas, you put yourself in danger to save my company and I during the war. And you finally used that endless stash of arrows to defend Thorin Oakanshield," He chuckled and I softly smiled as I said "An invitation is the least we can give and that you deserve." He knowingly nodded his head before saying goodbye as he walked away and eventually out the grand hall.

I walked away and went to go get myself a drink of Ale. I was going to go get changed out of my dress until the company called me over to a huge table with all of them with a jug of ale, including Kili. "Come on over lassie!" Bofur called me over.

I picked up my dress and took a place next to Kili half way down the table. He was quick to wrap his hand around my thigh and give it a squeeze. "Hi." I blushed. "Hey." Kili leaned forward and placed a kiss on my head.

"Lassie, Bifur has something he'd like to say." Bofur called from further down the table. I looked down the table to Bifur who struggled to get his words out as he only speaks in the dwarfish tongue. "Con...congratulations...(Y/N). Bifur...very...happy." He slowly said. When he finally got the words out we all cheered and Gloin smacked him on the back.

———————

The evening was going perfectly, everyone was dancing and laughing and it was magical. I was standing beside Kili with my arm wrapped around his and my head on his shoulder, slowly swaying to the gentle music. "This is perfect." I smiled with my eyes closed. "I'm glad you're happy, my One." I could hear the smile on his face as she spoke on placed a kiss on the top of my head.

I watched as everyone suddenly began waking off the dance floor and turning their attentions to Kili and I. "Why are they all looking at us?" I asked. "They're looking at how breathtaking you look tonight." He smirked. I playfully rolled my eyes and bumped my hip up with his "Ha ha, funny. But seriously?"

"It's our first dance," Kili came around to the front of me and placed a kiss on my knuckles, refusing to take his eyes of me "May I have the honor?" "You certainly do." I smiled as Kili walked us over to the center of the dance floor and held onto me as the song began.

His hand was on my hip and the other was holding mine, our entwined hands raised up beside us. We slowly danced to the music, neither of us able to wipe the smiles from our faces. I looked over Kili's shoulder to look at my father who was watching me with so much love and proudness, and the company were all around also slowly swaying to the music.

I looked back up to Kili "It's pretty cool, isn't it?" I grinned. "What is?" He smiled wider. "That we're married," I continued to talk as he raised a hand over my head and let me spin "Who would have thought we'd actually make it." "I always knew we would make it," He spun me to the side and dipped me down so his face was above mine "Our love was written in the stars."

"I never would have thought I'd be married." I admitted. "Never?" He questioned. "Well maybe not never," I said "But certainly not any time now. But Kili, marrying you was the best decision of my life." He pulled my close to him so we were chest to chest "This is just the beginning," He said "We have so much waiting for us," He rubbed his nose on mine "I can't wait."

The song came to an end not long after and we invited everyone back onto the dance floor to continue their dances. Kili grinned as I was swept away from him and over to Bofur who wanted the first dance out of everyone in the company, I braced myself as this was one down, nine more to go. Better get my dancing shoes on.

————————

"I'd like to propose a toast!" Bard lifted up his glass. Everyone picked up their drinks and turned to Bard. "I have only known (Y/N) and Kili for half of their journey, but for what I had seen, it was clear as daylight their love for each other. I can't talk about their past as I never knew how it all came together but I can talk about the future. I know you too will love each other till the end, enjoy it. To the happy couple!" Everyone raised their mugs.

"Um... I actually like to propose a toast too." Bilbo squeaked. He nervously stood up and raised his glass, everyone's attention was on him which clearly made him nervous "No words can begin to explain how proud I am of my daughter. She travelled across middle earth, nearly got eaten by trolls, nearly became a queen to the goblin King and so much more, yet still she managed to stay strong and protect those who she loved,"

"It has been very hard to accept that my daughter won't be around my hobbit hole anymore, no more quality time on the bench anymore," A tear from my eye "No more days down at the market," A tear fell down his face "But it makes me feel happy to know that even though she will be far away from me she always has me on her mind and she is safe, doing something incredible. I love you, (Y/N), so much."

He sniffled. Everyone raised their mugs and cheered. I rose out of my seat and threw myself into Bilbo's arms. He grabbed the back of my head and rocked me side to side, I could hear his gentle sobs above me. "I'm going to be okay, Father. Kili will keep me safe, as will the company, and Dís . But I do have one question."

"What is it?" He rubbed his nose. "What did you mean that I will be far away from you? And you being back in your hobbit hole?" I tilted my head. Everyone was watching us at the table.

"Ah well...I've thought long and hard about it and i'm not totally happy with my desicion but...I'm going back home, to Bag End. I'm sorry (Y/N) but I cant stay here forever, as happy I am here, this isn't my home, it's yours. I'm going to give you your space. I want you to know that you can always visit me," his voice broke and another tear slipped down my face "Whenever you like. So, if your ever feel homesick, well, you know where to find me," He breathed a shaky breath "I'm sorry, excuse me." He sped walked past everyone and out the hall.

Everyone was quiet. I stayed facing the wall Bilbo once stood in front of with my eyebrows drawn together. "(Y/N)." Kili embraced me in a hug "Are you okay?" "Yes, i'm fine. I'm sorry I didn't want to cry on my wedding night." I chuckled through tears. "Don't apologise, you have a reason to be upset. Hey, (Y/N)?" "Yes?" I looked up at him.

"We'll visit as soon as possible, I promise. Is that a deal?" He asked. "Deal." "Okay, now come with me I have something to show you." He held my hand and pulled me. "What? We can't leave in the middle of our wedding!" "Of course we can, c'mon it'll be quick." He pulled me out of the dining hall and out into the corridor. "Where are we going?" I giggled. "You'll see." He chuckled.

———————

"Okay just keep your eyes closed." Kili held his hand over my eyes as he brought me somewhere unknown. "What are you up to?" "Nothing bad, just wait one more second. Just mind your step." He guided me up a few stairs. It wasn't until my feet met with stone and the freezing winter air nipped at my nose I got a hint as to where we were "Our balcony? What are we doing here?" I asked. Kili didn't answer me. He placed me in a certain place before removing his hands from my eyes. Oh my God.

I looked up at the night sky and it was the most breathtaking taking view i'd ever seen. Stars. There were thousands shimmering across the night sky, whilst other soared through the sky to somewhere over in the distance and a greenish-blue hue of lights danced around the stars. "Is this what I think it is?" I peered over my shoulder to Kili who was looking into my eyes despite the stunning night we've been blessed with.

"The Feast of Starlight?" His grin grew from ear to ear and his whole face lit up as I beamed. "It's the Feast of Starlight!" I grabbed onto his arm and placed a beyond grateful kiss on his lips. "I can't believe it," I gasped with a hand hovering from my mouth as the colors from the sky were so powerful they reflected down on us on the balcony in the mountain.

"Thanks to your father, he managed to find out the exact day and time that the stars shine their brightest and the lights fly over the mountain." That's what they were doing. Kili hooked an arm around my waist knocked our heads together, I was so happy my heart couldn't contain it as it raced against my chest.

"I always told you that you were the One who walked beyond starlight. You blinded me with a light that showed me where I belonged, so, I brought the starlight to you where we belong," He grabbed my hand and brought it up to his chest "Our home." My heart has been broken too many times in my life, but tonight is the night where it melted so much that it was like wax glueing all the pieces back into their final place.

"Oh Kili," I looked down at my feet and chocked out a laugh when tears fell down to the balcony floor "I don't deserve you." He tucked a finger under my chin and forced me to look at him "If you don't deserve me than I am totally out my debt.(Y/N) you are the most gorgeous girl I've ever set eyes on, I want to give you everything that pure heart of yours desires." I kissed him again, a tear falling from both our eyes as they met together before I stepped back from Kili and placed my hands on the edge of the balcony and soaked in the night that seemed to surreal, I swear I'm dreaming.

After a few seconds I turned to Kili and we just starred deep into each others eyes, like we always did when he first became a couple and there's nothing I love more than when his eyes practically read me like a book, like he can see and feel every one of my emotions and warm my heart with his smirk that I remember all too well.

However, my ears perked when a woosh sound gradually came into earshot. My eyes widened suddenly when a ball of stardust soared through the air and hit Kili hard in the side of his face. Kili exclaimed as he ducked and grabbed his cheek, he brought his face back up and looked back at me with parted lips. A huge hall of stardust had splatted all over his face as it shimmered like it was beyond this world. Yet here is was on my husbands face.

My hand slapped up to my mouth as a huge smile tugged hard at my lips. The look on Kili's face was priceless , it was so hilarious that I accidentally burst out into a loud and childish laugh. Kili watched me with a shocked expression still as I was bent over with a hand clutching my hip as the other slapped down onto the balcony edge, I was laughing so heard that my abs physically hurt.

After a long time my laughter eventually died down but I was out of breath and still holding onto the stitch which stung my side. "I can't believe that just happened." I chuckled. Kili finally smiled and began chuckling with me as he brought a hand up to the glowing dust on his face, took a final look at it on his thumb before it came straight for my cheek.

I gasped and tried to shove his hand away but his thumb has already spread it down my cheek. It was a funny feeling as it tingled yet a magical sensation rushed through my body as if it were magic. This time it was Kili's turn to burst out into laughter at the look on my face. It was impossible for this night to get any better. Here with Kili, our hearts finally become one and the beautiful eruption of our laughter in sync, the feeling of when our love was fresh, full of first laughs, our first blushes and the beginning of a story I'll always remember. For all eternity.

The night is sadly over. Everyone has gone back to their chambers. Kili is still downstairs and said he would meet up here as soon as he could get away from all the important dwarves who insisted on talking to him but Dís insisted on bringing me up to bed.I felt quite odd tonight. Normally I would have a few mugs of ale but tonight even the thought of alcohol made me queasy. Luckily i'm not drunk as all i've drunk tonight is water, so I wasn't any trouble.

"...And then you walked down the aisle, oh I nearly cried." Dís held a hand on her heart. "Oh, (Y/N), this was probably one of the best nights ever. So much fun, who would have to thought the men kin could party so well. And that Beorn, he was so funny." Dís chuckled. "I think it might have been the best day ever," I agreed "I hate for it to end. But, i'm exhausted and ready for bed."

I opened my chamber door, closing it behind Dís. She sat down on my bed and continued yapping on and recalling highlights of the evening as I got undressed in the bathroom. As usual, it was practically early morning, the sun would we up in only a few hours so I was already half asleep by the time I was out my dress but I still had the rest of the evening ahead of me.

But just as I reached for my nightgown I suddenly felt sick to my stomach, literally. I instantly fell to my knees and clutched my stomach, I felt like I was going to throw up. Desperately, I grabbed the toilet and bent over. I threw up, a lot. Confusion filled my head. Why was I getting sick? I had no alcohol that night. Was it something I ate? Once I had finished throwing up my insides something occurred to me. Something that made my stomach plummet to the floor.

Still in my undergarments, I opened the bathroom door and walked over to the mirror feeling completely numb. "(Y/N)?" Dís questioned as I walked past, completely ignoring her. I stood in front of the mirror. I looked normal. I braced myself as I turned to my side. I looked in horror at the tiniest bump on my stomach. Was I...!? No I can't be. I must just be bloated from eating. That's it. "(Y/N)-" I jumped at Dís' voice. "I..." I couldn't find the words.

She looked at my terrified face and down to my hand which was resting on my abdomen and her eyes widened as she sucked in a breath once she caught up. "I'll get the doctor." She quickly rushed out the room before I could object and everything was happening so fast I had to sit down but I only made as far as Kili's side of the bed. Please don't be what I think I am....

It's exactly what I thought it was. Once the doctor congratulated me and walked out the room, closing the door behind him followed by the sound of the latch I was completely lost for words, and so was Dís. "I can't believe you're pregnant." Was all she could managed to get out . "No! I can't be!" I argued in shock "I didn't...Kili and I didn't..." I stopped myself at his mother standing before me with her mouth open, how on earth could I lie to her. "I'm..." I turned to Dís "I'm so sorry." I apologised.

"Oh, (Y/N)," She suddenly ran toward me and wrapped her arms around me "I'm so happy for you, for both of you." She squeezed me tight and my face was submerged in her sea of curls which smelt of pine wood and scents of the forest. "My boy's going to be a father!" Dís pulled back and her tears matched mine "Your going to be a mother! Oh, (Y/N)! Congratulations!" "Thank you," I laughed as I pushed a tear off my cheek "I just don't know how i'm going to tell him."

"Tell me what?" Kili's voice cut through the silence. I suddenly froze and turned to him. "Kili...hi." I waved and smiled. Yep definitely played it cool. Kili raised an eyebrow as Dís left the room, closing the door behind them leaving me alone to break such huge news to my brand new husband. "(Y/N), is everything okay?" I froze up. "(Y/N)?" "I'm pregnant."
