This can't be happening

"Okay, Gentleman and Miss, this is Hop 31... two weeks til Graduation, Top Gun trophy still up for grabs so every point counts."

Ace hummed as she was going up with Iceman, Slider, Maverick and Goose. "Last night seem to go well for you." Spade said. She smiled softly. "It did Spade it did. We can talk about that later, we got to focus here." Ace tells her Rio. "Yes Ma'am." Spade said.

Ace looked over to her left to see Maverick and Goose while on her right was Iceman and Slider.

She saw that Iceman and Maverick were looking at each other. "You better stay with us Maverick." Ace said. "You don't want your ass chew out again by Ace now do ya." Spade said. Maverick nodded at the woman while she nodded back at him.

"Well its bottom of the ninth, the score is it's a three way tie. It's time for the big one." Goose called out. Ace smirked.

"You up for this one Maverick?" Iceman questioned Maverick. "Just walk in the park Kazansky." Maverick said. "You mean a walk in the park for Spade and I, you two are going to get your asses kicked." Ace said with determination. "Well would you look at that." Goose said with surprise. "I didn't take you to be competitive little sis." Slider said. "No, but I want to today." Ace said, She looked over at her boyfriend and winked. Iceman shook his head at the woman while Maverick grinned.

"Contact multiple bogies, one six five, two miles, looks like their going away from us." Slider called out. "Oh I see them, Tallyho, right two o'clock, I'm in." Maverick then called out.

"I'm in." Both Ace and Iceman called out.

Ace then watched Iceman cut Maverick off. She sighed. "Please let this go smoothly today." Ace mumbled.

"That son of bitch cut me off." Maverick said through the comms.

All three planes were now following the Bogey. Iceman was in the lead, trying to get a clean shot at it.

"Come on, Come on, Take the shot!" Maverick exclaimed at Iceman seeing that he was close to the bogey. "Come on Ice, get the hell out of there!" Maverick exclaimed.

"I can't get the angle. I'm too close for missiles. Switching to guns." Iceman called out as he flipped the switch to Guns.

Spade noticed something was off about Ace. She was breathing heavily.Spade remember the time with Cougar. "Hey hey Ace, relax now, we got this." Spade said. She shook her head as she went back in focus on the task at hand. Goose sighed just hearing that.

"Ice, fire or clear!" Maverick called out , getting impatient. "Maverick, just relax up there!" Ace called out as she and Spade was behind him even though the fell further behind. "Look at this! I could take the shot right here!' Maverick then said. Ace shook her head. Spade sighed heavily.

"I need another twenty seconds, then I've got him." Iceman called out. "I'm moving, I got the shot." Maverick called out. "Come on Mav, get in there!" Goose called out.

"Maverick is getting impatient. Ice just take the shot." Spade called out to him. "I need ten more seconds then I've got him." Iceman called out. Ace saw that he was close to the bogey.

"Come on Ice, get the hell outta there!" Goose exclaimed with frustration.

"Ice! Come on, fly right, I got this." Maverick said. "Five more seconds.." Iceman then called out. "Come on Ice, Fly right. I'm in." Maverick called out.

Ace eyes widen. "I'm off... SHIT!" Iceman exclaimed as he flew upwards not knowing that Maverick and Goose were under them.

"Shit! their in his jet wash... shit shit shit!" Ace exclaimed as she was trying to remain calm and find a solution. "ICE! THEY FLEW IN YOUR JET WASH! THEY'RE OUT OF CONTROL!" Spade exclaimed. "I can't do anything! We could lose the bogey and don't go to close to them, it's dangerous!" Iceman called out. Ace shook her head. "This isn't happening, this isn't happening." Ace mumbled in fear as tears began to form in her eyes.

"Come on, you gotta fight it Mav!" Goose exclaimed. "Engine one is out! Engine two is out!" Maverick called out.

"NO NO NO! Come on!" Ace exclaimed as her voice cracked. "Mayday, Mayday. Mav's in trouble. He's in a flat spin, heading out to sea." Iceman called out.

Ace started to panic even more. She noticed their altitude was getting lower. "MAV AND GOOSE!! YOU NEED TO...." She exclaimed but she was cut off. "What the hell?" She question then she noticed the radio is off. She was puzzled and concern as she tried getting the radio back on but it wasn't budging.

"Uh... What's happening Spade!" She called out. "The radio is down, Damn it!" Spade exclaimed. "Shit...No no no... not at this moment! I need to warn them, no no." Ace said as tears were going down her cheeks.

"Ace and Spade come in." Iceman called out, there's no answered that worried him. "That's not like her, Slider check to see if they are still behind us." Iceman called out. Slider looked and they were. "Something must've went wrong with their radio." Slider said. "Damn, in a time like this.. DAMN IT!" Iceman exclaimed.

"Come on Spade!" Ace exclaimed. "I am trying the best I can Ace, I'm trying!" Spade said as his voice cracked. "Please, If anything were to happened to one of them or both of them... I would never be able to forgive myself... come on!" She exclaimed as she hit the dash.

She flew down closer, they were still trying to get control over everything. "Why haven't they eject." Spade asked in concern. "Come on, Come on. Eject you two." Ace said.

Then she saw Goose eject but as she watched heartache hit her heart.

"GOOSE!!!"

Just fyi, I hated writing this chapter and it was hard to write this chapter as I adore Goose very much and I know I'm not the only one. But Why... why.. I hope you all enjoyed even though this was a heartbreaking chapter. I couldn't stop crying.
