It was already morning when Asche woke up. As soon as she woke up she saw Hephaestus sitting beside her. The nymph's face turned red when she realized that he's been looking at her face. She started to get conscious when she remembered that she looks ugly when she's sleeping.
She glanced at the craftsmanship god, looking at the expression on his face. He looked handsome as the rays of sunlight were hitting his face, he really looked beautiful.
How can anyone think of him as ugly?
Anyway, it's probably her crazy side, but sleeping in the same bed with Hephaestus meant something special, right?
Right?
Are they together now?
Yes? They're together now?
Asche shook her head, it is not the right moment to be delusional. A lot of things happened yesterday, Underworld and other complicated things. Especially the arrival of one of her most beloved Goddess, Artemis.
It's morning and she's already thinking about many things. Maybe she should just focus her thoughts on Hephaestus.
Like a little fool, Asche stared at Hephaestus.
"Hi Hephaestus, good morning," Asche greeted him with a large smile.
A soft smile appeared in Hephaestus' lips. He had been watching Asche when he woke up, not by some malicious or creepy intent, but to make sure that she's breathing and fine. His worries were only put at ease when she woke up and opened her eyes.
She's back.
"I'm glad you're awake," He softly mumbled. Hephaestus stood up and walked on the other side of the bed. "Are you alright? Do you still feel weak?" He asked
"Nope, I'm fine! I think I feel energized today," Asche replied with enthusiasm while looking at Hephaestus' face. "Where's Aphrodite?"
"Downstairs," Hephaestus replied. "We should go to, you need to gain energy by eating."
He's really treating her like a patient...
"Sure!"
Asche slowly sat up from the bed and stretched her body. The nymph paused when she noticed that the Deity was still standing beside her bed, staring intently at her. Asche tried to ignore it but when she was about to stand up, Hephaestus suddenly crouched down as if he was going to carry her in his arms.
What in the princess treatment is this?
Asche giggled.
"I appreciate the princess treatment, but Hephaestus, I can assure you that I can walk," Asche told him with a soft laugh. She suddenly stretched her legs and wiggled her toes. "See this? I'm fine now."
Hephaestus only smiled and ignored what she told him. The God of Craftsmanship carried her in his arms as they both went downstairs.
Asche who couldn't complain about his actions only sighed and smiled at the same time.
"W-well, if you insist..."
She won't lie to herself anymore.
She loved the Princess treatment.
•••••••••••
The beautiful mood that was just created this morning was suddenly ruined when Asche saw Dionysus with an annoying look on his face. Instead of tea or coffee in his cup, the God of the Winery was drinking wine.
"Good morning to the love birds~" He greeted with a sheepish smile on his face. "Did you guys have a good time being lovey dovey this morning? Because I DID NOT. Get this little devil away from me! I'm traumatized now!"
Just a few steps away from him was Aphrodite carrying a huge pan on her hand. It seems like she's ready to hit him at any moment.
"You're not traumatized, you're just drunk," Aphrodite mumbled, gathering every fiber of patience in her body.
"Stop gaslighting me."
"I'm not."
Dionysus groaned, he can't believe that a young goddess like Aphrodite is treating him like this! Every being adores him because of his charm, yet an ugly god and a little devil is treating him like this.
Unacceptable...
The god of winery frowned and decided to glance at Asche, the beloved nymph of Queen Hera. The sole reason why he had to stay here even tho he doesn't want to.
"I'm going to take back the nymph with me. Pull yourself up, Dionysus. Hera wasn't quite pleased with what you've shown so far."
How troublesome.
Dionysus remembered his conversation with Goddess Artemis last night. It seems like Queen Hera wasn't quite impressed with his performance.
The god of winery placed his cup on the table, he crossed his arms with a displeased look on his face. He is certain that if he didn't do anything right after Hera ever got out of that golden chair, the Queen of Olympus will have a beef with him for a veeery long time.
Truly troublesome.
Should've been easier if he managed to convince Hephaestus to drink with him, then he'll trick him by taking him to Olympus. It'll be hitting two birds with one stone because the Forest nymph will have no choice but to follow them back.
"Why don't you all just follow me and go to mount Olympus?"
"I'd rather follow a stranger than you," Aphrodite immediately countered him. "And there is a reason why my parents refuse to follow you, and that's because you look like a shady guy."
Hephaestus nodded his head, completely agreeing with Aphrodite.
"You're adopted!" Dionysus retorted like a kid.
Aphrodite glanced at him with an offended look on her face.
"Ha! And you don't have a mom!"
Dionysus also looked back at her, also offended. "How did you know?"
"Because you're a piece of sh---"
"Ahem."
All of them turned their head to Artemis who just entered. She wasn't carrying her bow and arrows like usual, instead, she was dressed in her formal clothes.
"Is it the right time to bicker when there's food on your table?" The Goddess sat on a chair. "We may not be mortals, but we have to respect our foods. We took the lives of the animals to make our breakfast, we should respect their sacrifice."
Artemis sighed and glanced at Asche. Seeing that she's doing well comforted the Goddess.
"Dear Asche, I believe that this is the right moment for you to decide to come home with me," The Goddess glanced at Hephaestus who was quietly listening to them. "You told me that you'll only come with me if Hephaestus and Aphrodite will come with you to Mount Olympus, then I have a great news."
"A great news?" Asche mumbled.
"I heard from Hades that the God of Craftsmanship showed him something dangerous and unnatural..." Artemis paused, her face became serious. "A weapon that can kill a god is something that should be feared by mortals and immortals, but wouldn't Zeus accept Hephaestus to Olympus if he offers that weapon to him?"
Asche's eyes widened.
That sounds... Dangerous.
Asche was about to reply, but Hephaestus suddenly spoke with a serious and stern voice.
"Certainly not," Hephaestus told her. "That weapon was not for him to wield, and I wish to destroy it so nobody can use it for selfish reasons."
"Yet you want to give it to Hades," Artemis replied.
"Hades is different, he doesn't wish to own it for war nor for selfish reason," Hephaestus retorted. "I am not planning to give it to anyone other than him, because the weapon was meant to be wielded by the God of the Underworld, and the fact that he refused it means that I had to destroy it."
As Artemis listened to his explanation, she couldn't help but to be relieved knowing that Hephaestus won't hand the weapon to anyone unworthy.
The god of craftsmanship is better than other immortals. However, he must be a fool for rejecting the opportunity to be accepted as one of the main God in Olympus...
Or perhaps he just doesn't like the idea of being with the immortals who scorned him for his looks, especially his mother who threw him away, Hera.
"How can I convince them?... No, How can I convince you to come with Asche in Olympus?" Artemis asked.
"You don't have to," Hephaestus replied. The god of craftsmanship secretly reached for Asche's hand under the table. "I'll come with her, I'll free Hera, but you have to give me time. You have to wait for three more days."
"3 days? Why?"
"I might not be able to give Zeus the weapon of destruction, but I will craft something that is more suitable and crafted only for him, something indestructible that he wouldn't be able to resist." Hephaestus mumbled with a serious tone.
"I will make my place in that kingdom to be with Asche."
