Samantha stared at the TV screen in horror. She couldn't believe that Isabella went to another News station to write and get help publishing an article about the Yakuza itself.

With all the evidence displayed on the screen and clear photos of a man who had a high rank within that organization, she knew that her coworker was going to be in tremendous trouble.

Samantha felt like she needed to call Isabella to warn her. As she picked up her phone, the front door to their apartment opened. Her husband Leo walked in with several grocery bags.

"Leo." She gasped. For a brief moment, she thought someone else had barged into their home. Kaito smiled at her but frowned when he noticed that she was clutching onto herself as if her life was in danger.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing!" Samantha pressed her lips together. "You're back early."

Kaito nodded and placed the groceries he bought on the kitchen counter. He reached inside one of the bags and pulled out a container that was steaming hot. "I brought you some soup."

"Oh." Samantha walked over to him and glanced at it. "Thank you."

"Where's Keiji?" Kaito took off his coat and hung it on the rack by the door. He glanced around the room for the kid but he was nowhere to be found.

"He's in his room playing." Samantha glanced at her phone again. "I'm going to go eat this now, thanks again." Samantha started to walk away, but Kaito grabbed onto her wrist and yanked her back. "W-what are you—" Samantha blinked at her husband in surprise.

"You still have a fever." Kaito pressed his hand against her forehead.

"I'll be fine." Samantha pulled away from him.

"Is there something wrong?" Kaito grumbled at her. He was growing suspicious and still upset that she was keeping it from him that she went out secretly to work after he told her to stay home. He noticed that she was a lot more nervous too.

To him, it didn't matter if he was being very hypocritical or not. Samantha was his only key to getting inside information about all the juicy deeds her coworkers were doing. He felt that it was okay for him to lie to her, but he didn't like that she was acting strange and lying to him.

Kaito hated being double-crossed or lied to.

"Nothing is wrong." Samantha lied.

"You're lying to me." Kaito rolled his eyes at her. "Usually when a person asks what's wrong, the usual response they get is 'what do you mean."

"Leo, I don't know what you're talking about." Samantha snapped at him and turned on her heel. She needed to contact Isabella immediately, not waste time arguing with her husband. "I need to make a phone call."

Kaito allowed her to walk away from him, watching as she waltzed into the living room and in front of the television. He noticed that the news report was on about the Yakuza and Asuka and quickly rushed over to the couch where Samantha sat. He snatched the remote and turned it off.

Samantha paid no mind to him and dialed Isabella's number. It rang 3 times before going to voicemail. She dialed her number again and got the same results.

For a moment, she thought Isabella blocked her number. It would've made sense, but her phone was ringing so the call was able to go through. If Isabella blocked her number, then it wouldn't even have a dial tone.

She dialed one more time, praying silently that Isabella would answer her phone. The phone rang twice before she heard a soft hello on the other end. "Isabella! It's Sam, where are you?"

"Samantha.." Isabella yelped on the other end. "Can you give me directions to your apartment? I'm on my way." Isabella's voice was scratchy, it sounded like she had been crying.

"Are you okay?" Samantha gulped.

"There's something you have to know!" Isabella huffed. "It's about Kaito... it's about the Yakuza, the files on that flash drive! We have to meet immediately!"

"Slow down.." Samantha moved over slightly when Kaito sat next to her and began opening the container of soup. "Are you running? Tell me where you are, I'll come and meet you." Samantha's words earned her a deadly stare from Kaito, but she didn't want to lead any type of danger to their apartment just incase someone was chasing after Isabella.

"No! I'm coming to your home for a reason! You need to see for yourself! I know Kaito's identity! I know a lot more!"

"What?" Samantha's shoulders stiffened. "Who is he? Do you know?"

"Your h—" Before Isabella could finish her sentence, there was a loud gunshot. The other line grew silent. Samantha panicked but held her breath when she heard steady footsteps. It sounded like boots clacking, and then there was another gunshot.

"Isabella?" Samantha forced out. Her body felt strained as she tried calling out. "Isabella! Are you there?!" Deep down, Samantha knew something distraught happened to her co-worker. Isabella wasn't responding.

Samantha only heard faint voices, men who were speaking in another language. At that moment, she knew what most likely had happened to her friend. She held a hand to her mouth, holding back her tears.

When the footsteps and voices got closer to the phone, she hung up quickly. Whoever those men were on the other line was more than dangerous. If they found out Isabella was speaking with her, Samantha and her family would for sure be killed too.

Kaito watched as Samantha threw her phone aside. He didn't hear the entire conversation, but he knew Wilson would give him more details later. He'd have to figure out a way to comfort her.

"What's wrong?"

"I need to head back to the company." Samantha pressed her lips together and took a deep breath. "Um, work is slow. They need me to come in and sort a few things out." She lied. Kaito saw through her bull crap effortlessly and narrowed his eyes at her.

Samantha wasn't the type to lie, and he hated that she was starting to do that more often now. Kaito shrugged and decided to play along with her. "I guess I'll take you. You can bring your work back home, you need to recover from your cold—"

"No!" Samantha raised her hands in a panic, which surprised Kaito.

"No?" He scoffed.

"I mean, no, because it's a very important issue." Samantha bit her lip nervously. She had to find the flash drive that Isabella showed her, she didn't want Leo to find out about whatever happened to Isabella on the phone.

There was no way Isabella was alive after that call, and Samantha felt that whoever killed her would not leave without being punished. She wanted to expose all the information on that drive, this way, Isabella wouldn't have died for nothing.

"You have a fever," Kaito grabbed the soup off the coffee table and handed it to her. "Until you fully recover from your cold, I think you should stay here." Kaito wasn't suggesting it, he was demanding her to stay.

Hopefully, Samantha would take the hint. He was starting to lose patience, in dealing with her. Before Samantha could say anything else, Kaito scooped up a spoonful of soup and shoved it in between her lips.

Samantha frowned and allowed her husband to feed her. She was going to have to sneak out when he wasn't watching.

"Your identity was almost leaked." Wilson sang and skipped over to Kaito. He placed his arm over Kaito's shoulder and got a death glare in return.

"What?" Kaito was in the middle of sharpening a dagger but stopped when he heard Wilson. He thought he didn't hear him correctly.

"I keep listening to that call I recorded between your wife and that journalist. Ms. Garcia mentioned that she knew who you were and it had something to do with that flash drive. She almost told your wife who you were. If she wasn't killed, your mission would've been over."

"Are you saying that the flash drive contained information about me?" Kaito placed the blade on the counter.

"It had to." Wilson hiccuped.

"That means Nathaniel Giles already knows who I am." Kaito punched the counter. The loud bang caused Wilson to jump. "It makes sense now why that company published so many false articles about me exclusively. It's because he knew about me, and wanted to keep the focus off the Yakuza, and in particular, Asuka."

Kaito pressed the button under the counter and the hidden room behind them opened. He walked inside and began changing out of his clothes. Wilson knew that he was getting ready to confront the dastard.

"While you're at the company, be sure to also search for the flash drive around Isabella's desk. We need to make sure that no one else will try to leak your identity."

"I got it." Kaito placed the dagger he sharpened into a small sheath. "Can you contact Haruka and tell him all the information we acquired?"

"Why can't you do it?" Wilson frowned. "Sooner or later, you're going to have to confront him yourself. Ever since you had Keiji, it's like you don't want anything to do with your father."

Kaito snarled and grabbed Wilson by his shirt. "Don't call that dastard by that title. I asked you to call him, so do what I say. Understood?"

"Okay." Wilson huffed.

Kaito released him, and Wilson quickly brushed himself off. Ever since Haruka went back to Japan to handle some business of his own, it felt like Kaito was on edge whenever his name was mentioned. Wilson had decided not to push any further on the subject, but sometimes, he couldn't help it.

He was getting tired of Kaito trying to avoid Haruka. Wilson felt Kaito was very fortunate to even have a father who was giving him a chance to redeem himself for all the sins he's committed.

Kaito finished gathering the things he needed and pressed the button under the serving counter. The wall behind the two men shifted back into place to hide the back room.

"I'll be back soon." Kaito put on his face mask and pushed open the back door. The air felt thick and moist, and it was foggy. It was going to be harder for Kaito to get to the company since it was dark and overcast outside.

"Do you want me to make sure Samantha stays home?"

"She's taking care of Keiji tonight." Kaito unlocked his car door and opened it. "If she does call to ask where I am, just tell her I'm out shopping for the cafe."

Kaito slammed his door closed and turned on the ignition. He pulled out of the cafe parking lot and sped off. After about 10 minutes, he arrived in Delsa Valley and parked nearby the company building. He didn't want to pull inside the parking garage, just in case.

The parking garage was empty, and only one car was inside. Kaito was sure that Nathaniel Giles was the only employee inside. Before he even considered coming, Wilson helped him back up any information on the target. They pulled his ID and license plate, insurance bills, and everything from records.

Kaito walked up to the building and pushed the front door open. Surprisingly, the entrance was still unlocked. That was a big mistake for whoever was inside, but easier for Kaito.

He sauntered in casually and whistled as he walked up to the elevator. He pressed the button and tapped his foot on the tile floors as he waited for it to come down to the first floor. "Never seen the lobby before," Kaito hummed as he examined the main entrance of the company.

To him, it looked like the lobby of a hotel building. The loud ding brought him out of his thoughts, and he stepped inside the elevator. When he stepped out after it took him up to the 5th floor, he noticed someone across the room on the phone pacing around.

It was Nathaniel, the dastard he was looking for. Nathaniel was too caught up in the call to notice that Kaito walked up behind him.

"I did what you told me to do! I got rid of that nosy journalist! She was the one who leaked your information! I had nothing to do with it!" Nathaniel stammered on the phone.

Kaito rolled his eyes and placed his hand on the handle of the dagger in his pockets. Then, he whipped it out and pressed the blade against Nathaniel's neck. "Mr. Giles, it's about time that we meet."
