Silas POV
I smiled as I looked at Birch as he napped on my lap, snuggling like a little kitten.
I smile as I pick him up and walk to the kitchen, our Easter breakfast should be done soon and Birch definitely needs all the food he can get, he was scarily underweight when we first met. He's a lot better now, but he still has a long way to go until he's at a normal weight.
I smile and give Paisley a kiss on his cheek as he ruffles Birch's hair in affection.
I walk over to my seat and watch as the rest of the boys enter the dining room and each of them coo at our little cutie in my arms.
I smile as I think about how cute Birch will be on our Easter egg hunt later, and I know Paisley was planning on doing some little boy approved crafts with him.
Let's just say, Birch is going to have the best Easter ever with us, and we all can't wait to celebrate it with him.
I almost snort at the cute bunny pancake Arundelle placed on the table, it was so stinking cute, but the eyes were creeping me out!
"What the heck did you do to that poor bunny?! And that chick is staring at meeeee!" Roman exclaimed.
Arundelle rolled his eyes and said, "How bout you try to make a cute breakfast for the little boy! I bet yours would look like a freaking crime scene!"
He ran out of the room, banging the door behind him, which woke up Birch. He whined into my shoulder, while I ran my fingers through his curls.
I gave Roman a brief 'fix it' look, the brat rolled his eyes and briskly walked out of the room muttering about over dramatic princesses.
Paisley walked into the room, totally confused at the tension until he saw our little boy blinking up his sweet little violet eyes up at him.
"Awwwwe, good morning, baby bear. Did you have a good sleep?" He cooed at Birch as he picked him up and bounced him on his hip as he walked around the room.
Birch nodded, he wasn't very verbal yet in headspace, but we hoped he would be more verbal soon once he got more comfortable in it.
Birch squealed as he saw the cute bunny pancakes and chick shaped pineapple and all the Easter candy sitting around the table, which Jewel may be demolishing right now.
Arundelle and Roman come back in with smiles, looks like they made up. We never stay mad at each other long, we definitely have some dramatic characters but they keep thing's interesting around here.
Birch was munching on a Reese's egg that Jewel gave him as he sat on Hades lap, who was telling Birch about last Easter when Roman filled the backyard with chicks. Let's just say that was one prank I wasn't too fond of, especially the clean up.
Once we all finished breakfast, we headed outside to start the Easter egg hunt. We hid all of the eggs thus morning before Birch woke up, so now we were ready for some fun!
Only to find Roman's prank of the day....
Which was the pool was filled with foam!
Roman, Jewel, Malakai and Birch all ran into the foam with Basil closely following behind them.
I laughed at them and let them play, we all ended up playing in the foam, I'd have to say this was fun, but Roman is definitely helping us clean up this time!
After an hour of us playing in the foam, we helped Birch clean up a bit and then hunted for the Easter eggs.
In the end, he had a huge basket full of eggs, and was very proud of his treasures.
He smiled up at me and said, "Daddy! Look! Eggys!"
He squealed as I picked him up and spun him around. He was so cute in his bunny T-shirt and jeans, with pink converse, he was definitely going to be our little fashion baby.
"You did so good baby! I bet you got all of them! Now let's clean up and do some crafts with Pai." I exclaimed at him as we walked into the house.
He nodded excitedly and said, "Wan glitter an pink, daddy!" I chuckled at him, he loved it when Jewel showed him the magic of glitter with glue and the pink paint.
Now his art project may look like a blob of glitter and glue with paint smudged on it, but it was a masterpiece to him, and I loved that he was confident enough to show that to us.
I was hanging out with the boys watching Mary Magdalene, which was really good and interesting.
Birch was sitting on the ground with Paisley, he already colored in a bunny and a chick, and now they were making what Hades called a masterpiece of glitter and chaos. Which was fair, and I agreed with. We can always clean the paint monsters later.
Birch made some really colorful egg shaped ornaments, and let's just say my coffee table and Birch were covered in paint, but he was happy which is all that matters.
Looks like that sheet on the table didn't do shit, oh well, I'll just buy another one latter and make this Birch's art table.
"Awwwe, they look beautiful, baby! We'll hang them up later! Let's cuddle while making dinner, okay babes?" I exclaimed as our movie ended and we all got to work helping Paisley and Hades in the kitchen.
We'll everyone but Roman, that guy is terrible in the kitchen. No more cooking for him! He's on baby boy duty!
Soon enough, dinner was done cooking and we were all happily eating and chatting with each other. Birch was loving everything, but especially the candy.
But he loved the ham and the flowers on the table, Birch and Arundelle had matching flowers in their hair and loved putting them in Hades hair, only for him to put another in Birch's hair. At this point, Birch looked like he had s flower crown on and he loved it.
We ended the night with cuddles on the couch and watching tv, we ended up falling asleep to Birch's kitten snores and Malakai mumbling about what we're doing for the coronation of King Charles III.
I chuckled at him, we wouldn't do anything most likely, but you never knew what our pranksters would get up to. At least things were never boring around here.
