Leila was busy studying in her room when she heard a knock on the door. Blinking in confusion, she stood up from the bed and made her way to the door. As she opened the door, she never expected to find Xavier standing on the other side.
Leila fiddled with her fingers nervously as his scrutinizing gaze assessed her body language.
"Can we talk for a moment?" Leila blinked in surprise at his words but she opened the door wider, letting him enter in the room.
Leila didn't understand why her room suddenly started to feel small under her oldest brother's presence. Xavier never basically stepped into her room, it was his first time being here. That's why he took a moment to look around, his keen, cold eyes took everything in and then finally settled on Leila.
A little awkward, she took a seat on her bed and he dragged her study chair from across the corner. As he sat down casually, Leila could not help but feel like there was something wrong.
"I have some questions to ask." He started with these simple words but Leila felt her worry thicken even more.
"W-what is it?" She asked in a small tone that made Xavier furrow his brows.
"Relax. You are not in trouble." He said instantly and started tapping his fingers on his phone. A second later, he lifted the phone up, so that Leila was facing the screen.
She felt every color drain from her face at the pictures that were presented in front on her. 'Her and Alexander together' the thought just made her sick to stomach.
"It's not what you think it is!" Leila immediately protested. Her hands started to tremble and her cheeks turned red in embarassment.
Xavier merely raised his brow watching her intently.
"I would never! Gosh! I don't know who took these pictures but I swear it was just an accident. I bumped into him and that's all!"
"That was not what I wanted to hear but I appreciate that you voiced out your side of the story that I believe is truth. I just want to ask if he has been troubling you or something." Leila sat there shocked for a moment, her mind slowly wrapped around his words.
So he did believe in her. She did not know why but it sounded nice to hear.
"No. He isn't. If he does, I know how to handle every thing and on the second thought he's kinda afraid from you all." Leila said softly.
"Good." He muttered and then stood up. Leila turned red again when she found herself instantly standing too. It just only showed that her anxiety was still on roof.
"Continue your study." With that said, he was out of the door.
Leila sighed in relief and fell down on the bed, on her back.
"That was intense."

Mia smiled when she felt familiar arms wrapping around her, hugging her from behind.
"Leila...." She softly breathed out and turned around to face her.
"What are you doing here? Do you need something?" Mia asked her 'little sister' or 'daughter' like figure in a sweet tone.
"Not really. I was bored and I was kinda wondering if I can help you a bit." Leila shrugged a little and climbed on the counter to sit down.
"Help me what?" Mia asked with a playful curiosity.
"Umm maybe in cooking the dinner."
Mia chuckled lightly as Leila tapped her chin with her finger taking a thinking pose.
"That's very sweet of you but I need to remind you that you are a princess. Your brothers will be mad if they find out that I was making you work."
"Stop lying, Mia. Half of them probably won't even care if I get burn alive." Leila unknowingly let these words slip past her lips. Mia could not help but frown.
"That's very harsh coming from you. But I believe they all deeply care about you." She placed her hand on the young girl's shoulder to comfort her but Leila just shook her head. She could not help but remember that every time when Anthony mocked her, made fun of her and plainly hated her. Vincent always seemed to ignore her at any cost. It felt like the rest of them take care of her or worry about her just because they take it her as a responsibility left behind by their parents.
Leila sighed inwardly, the more time she thought about it, the more it made her head hurt.
"Can I just help? I know I'm a terrible cook but I really want to try."
