Xavier sat down at the head chair of the long table. Around it, on each side sat the only male members of three main families.

"Is it not just wasting time? How could that bastard be alive?!" Gilbert gritted his teeth. Aurelio and him reminisced the day they went along with Lucifer to save Sofia and Leila.

The outcome of that battle always churned their stomach. Lucifer barely managed to land a finishing blow on him but it took his life. Sofia sacrificed herself, so both Aurelio and Gilbert could safely take Leila out of there.

'Sofia and Lucifer's hands held each other as they passed on afterlife but the sight of their burnt bodies still terrifies them.'

All because of that bastard. Aurelio clenched his fists. All because of him, his great friends died so early.

"You battled him and his army along with Mr. Lambordi. What are his strengths and weaknesses?" Ace asked after a long pause.

"Is he a worthy opponent?" Alexander raised his question.

"Truly." Gilbert sighed. Something that surprised his son a little.

Aurelio looked at the heirs of Lambordi family. They were too silent. Luciano's maniac silence was easily able to make a shiver crawl up his spine. Luciano was too creepy and maniac for his own good.

"Weren't we sworn enemies?" Alexander raised a question, directing it at Gilbert. His father knew he was pointing at the Lambordi family. Before the alliance, they never really met eye to eye without a fight breaking out between them.

"That person was a common enemy. We had to work together for a short period of time, putting aside our distaste unlike now." Gilbert answered.

Andre and Francesco already understood the reason when their father's name was mentioned along with Lucifer and Aurelio. So they did not hold any curiosity.

Adriano sat quiet, listening to their conversation. But he could not help but ask.

"Does Leila know?"

He instantly regretted opening his mouth as hard stare of Lambordi brothers fixed on him.

"You did a really perfect job making her depressed for years and without telling her the truth!" Luciano lunged at him, as if someone stepped on his trigger, but Vincent and Angelo held him back, without struggle.

"Calm down Luciano. It's not time for talking about those matters." Carlo stated in a calmly manner.

"Fucking bitch!" Luciano cursed Adriano one last time but decided to listen to his brother.

King family watched the whole ordeal with blank eyes but inwardly they were curious. Alexander was almost twitching, not understanding what they were talking about.

Xavier placed his elbows on the table, the slight moment gained everyone's attention and they all looked at him, turning to give him attention.

"It is right that I want to shelter Leila from darkness but I do not wish to keep her in dark. She deserves to know."

His brothers did not like the last statement. They did not want her to be scared and always looking over her shoulder but Xavier's first sentence was indeed right.

"We should talk about the real matter now." Aurelio said already knowing Xavier was over with these incompetent conversations.

"How the guys we fought seemed so dead? They were continuously fighting even if we cut a limb or two. It was like pain made no affect on them, only slowed them down a little. They literally fought till their last breath." Zach put his question, looking straight at Xavier, then moving his eyes to Gilbert and Aurelio.

Xavier looked lost in a thought for the first time. Nobody but Aurelio saw how his fingers trembled and an indescribable look flashed in his eyes for a moment.

Aurelio frowned and he could not help but repeat only this in his mind.

'It cannot be.'

"Just who is he?!" Luciano snarled.

Aurelio took a harsh breath as if this was a bitter pill to swallow.

"We don't know."

The heirs excluding Xavier and Carlo shared a somewhat look of disbelief that was hardly noticeable.

"Only Lucifer and Sofia ever saw him."

"How do we find him then?" Andre asked, snatching his brother Alexander's upcoming words.

"I had sent a few men to search his lair but it traces of him has long been destroyed years ago. There is nothing." Aurelio said.

"We have to wait for him to show up." Gilbert's last words finished the whole meeting.
