"A-Antonio...." She struggled to choke back on her tears.
Within a moment, his hand enclosed around her arm and he pulled her up. His eyes slowly accessed the damage done to Leila's body.
Leila gasped when he as abruptly pulled her into a hug.
This was so unexpectant and unlike him, it made her freeze. She did not know how to react.
"I will fucking kill all of them!"
Her eyes widened slightly. Without any restraint, a sob slipped past her lips.
"Th-they beat me and i-it hurts bad." She cried out and hugged him back, her heart finally found the hope and comfort she desperately longed for in these days.
"I know." He whispered, pulling away.
"We are getting out of here." Antonio announced unexpectedly.
Leila was a little stunned but nonetheless relieved. She observed carefully as he said these words while specifically looking at the clock in the room.
"Where are others?" She asked a little worried.
"They will be here....But we are not going to wait for them to rescue. I'm enough to save you."
Leila looked at his expressions. He looked smug for some reason but his anger filled eyes did not waver from the direction of the clock.
"Why are you looking at it?" She could not help but ask.
"I'm just telling him. If he dares, try to stop me." Antonio said.
On the other side, his lips quirked hearing these words.
"Hmm.. Challenge...A game.... How intriguing!"
"Si--" Dante began but he cut him off with his own words.
"I don't mind.... Watching him being pathetic will sure be entertaining until his brothers come. Bring the new batch of soldiers! This will be amusing." He chuckled and leaned his elbow against the armrest of his throne.
Leila gasped in shock as Antonio punched the clock, shattering it into pieces.
In the next moment, he grabbed her wrist.
"Let's go!"
She had only taken a step forward but something made her stop.
"What is it?" He asked.
"There's something that I need to tell you first."
A minute later, Antonio whispered.
"So is that it?" Weirdly, he had no emotion on his face. He hid them well under the veil of his expressionless face. But Leila managed to see a moment when he gritted his teeth. Then, there was nothing.
"Can you take me there?" He asked.
****************
Alexander was aware what was happening but he had no courage to come out and face it. Antonio was here, it was sure others will be here soon. The thought made his heartbeat race.
"Maybe I did wrong. I shouldn't have done that..." He was regretting a little but he also knew that regret this late was of no use.
A knock sounded on the door. He looked up to see Dante.
"You are asked to be assemble with your team."
Alexander was confused.
"What's the mission?"
"Kill Antonio Lambordi!"
These words made ground slip from underneath Alexander's feet.
"I-I can't do this!" He said instantly.
"You are saying no?" Dante was amused. He was playing with a small black remote in his hand.
Alexander's eyes widened.
He knew what it was.
"Stop! Don't fucking press it!" He yelled.
"Remember, you are not the one to make order here." Dante kindly reminded and put the remote away.
"Now Go!"
Dante frowned, all the amusement washed away from his face as he watched Alexander run out.
"Pathetic! In these families, there are some brave like Antonio and cowards like Alexander...!"
