Visit from an old family friend
Daisy sighed as she made her way to her dad's house. "Why must he have to be an ass." Daisy said as she thought back to earlier. "Oh... it's Hangman... who is always an ass." Daisy added.
Then as she came up to her dad's house, she saw another vehicle in the driveway, which puzzled her. She pulled her car into the driveway, then it hit her. "No... it can't be." Daisy said as she put the car in park and shutting it off. She stepped out of the car.
She walked inside the house and her eyes widen. "Hollywood!" Daisy exclaimed which caused the man to turn around and smile at her. "Daisy!' He exclaimed as he got up and hugged her. "What a pleasant surprise, how have you been?" He said as he pulled away.
"Oh just the same old same old, I can't believe your here." Daisy said as she took a seat at the table. "Hollywood and Wolfman." Her father answered. "Indeed." Daisy said.
"Back at Top Gun." Hollywood said. "Yeah, for a mission." Daisy said. "How's training been going?" Her father asked. "Peachy..." She said as she trailed off. "Doesn't sound like it." Hollywood said to her. "Yeah... Maverick's our instructor." Daisy said which caused the duo to go silent.
"Not to mention him and Rooster... still not on good terms." Daisy said. "Goose's Son?" Hollywood questioned. "Yep, experienced it on the training field." Daisy said. Wolfman sighed.
"Before you ask.... Maverick pulled Rooster's papers which personally he shouldn't have done but this caused Rooster to be set back four years into his career." Daisy said. Wolfman shook his head. "Maverick doing something like this?" Hollywood questioned.
"Man think about it." Wolfman said. Then Goose came to mind and he sighed. "I know Maverick's trying to protect him but..." Hollywood said. "He shouldn't have done it, like I say that choice he made cost Rooster, set him back four years." Daisy said.
"Believe me Hollywood, I would be feeling how Rooster's feeling if he did that to me." Daisy said and Hollywood nodded.
"What are your plans after this mission?" Hollywood asked her. "You know... I haven't really thought about it, I did get offer to teach at Top Gun but I dunno if I should consider it?" Daisy questioned.
"Of course you should consider it, you would not only a great teaching, you would give out so much guidance to those pilots." Wolfman said to his daughter. She smiled at her father.
"But I'll think on it, but right now my focus is on this mission." Daisy said. "You think Rooster will go on it?" Hollywood asked her. "I have no clue.... I hope Maverick let's him go, it will only make things worse if he doesn't choose Rooster, besides Rooster is one of the best." Daisy replied.
"Maverick would be crazy not to choose you for this mission not saying this because your my daughter, but your also one of the best." Wolfman said. "But he can't choose us both dad." Daisy said. "Knowing Maverick, he'll pull some strings." Hollywood said and Wolfman agreed.

Daisy drove back to her place, she was really glad to see Hollywood and catch up.
As soon as she pulled into the driveway, she noticed Rooster's Bronco. She shut her car off, then she headed inside.
She saw Natasha and Bradley talking at the table. "Hey, where did you go?" Natasha asked. "Went and saw my dad... Hollywood was there Bradley." Daisy said as she grabbed a water out of the fridge. "Wait... your dad's wingman?" Natasha questioned and Daisy nodded.
"It felt like Deja vu. I use to see him a lot as a child but this time was different." Daisy said. "He mention Maverick... didn't he?" Natasha asked. "Yeah... he said this doesn't sound like Maverick." Daisy said. "Well it happened." Bradley said sternly.
"There has to be a reason why, maybe ask him?" Daisy questioned. "And before you open that trap of yours, I know, his decision set you back four years, but it would great to understand why he did it." Daisy said sternly.
"She's right Bradshaw. Maybe put this past you, but it's up to you on that." Natasha said. "Let's not talk about that anymore. How are you feeling?" Bradley asked Daisy. Daisy furrowed her brows. "Fine I guess." Daisy said.
"Daisy... I have been your best friend for years now, I know when you are not fine especially when Hangman got under you skin." Bradley said. She sighed.
"It's your mother, isn't it?" Natasha questioned and Daisy nodded. "That's the one thing I didn't bring up tonight, what happened today. If he found out Hangman used that against me.... he wouldn't be happy right now and Hangman would never hear the end of it from my dad." Daisy explained.
Daisy shook her head as tears began to fall. "Life's not fair.... I never got to meet my mom, she was taken as soon as I came... sometimes I feel like it's my fault that's she not here... but I understand, her body couldn't handle it." Daisy explained as she wiped the tears away.
"My mom.... she had a lot complications during her pregnancy, high blood pressure was one of them, it played a huge role in her death.... but I just knew that being a pilot was my calling.... I knew I have to make her proud." Daisy said.
Natasha and Bradley sighed. "So... for hangman to bring her up today.... was uncalled for. My mom had terrible fate... my father lost the woman he loved... he hasn't loved anyone since... besides I'm was... well still am a priority to him... I'm all he's got besides his friends.... I have to make him proud... I have to build a new kind of legacy to the Wolfe name." Daisy said.
