ADRIANO'S POV: 'Are you sure you don't know where she is?' Vittoria snaps.

'I think I would know if my ex girlfriend and the granddaughter of the man I want dead were in front of my face.' I reply dryly.

My head hurts since Dilara didn't want to get back into the house for a while last night and now we're both sick.

'What about you?' She turns to Fouzia.

I look at her and she avoids my eyes.

'I haven't seen her, and I don't want to see her.' She replies.

'Well, you know what to do if you do.' Vittoria snaps.

'I don't think Dilara would be stupid enough to come back to us.' Alessandro shrugs.

Both him and I have been watching Vittoria heavily, seeing what similarities I share with her.

We have nothing in common except for my eyes.

'I think one of you would be stupid enough to let her in.' She retorts.

'I hope you're not talking about Adriano?' Fouzia asks.

'No, I'm talking about your wife.' She turns to Alessandro.

'Mimi's been preoccupied with our daughter.' He replies. 'I would know if Dilara were anywhere near her.'

'Your step-daughter.' Vittoria says

Alessandro's jaw ticks and he narrows his eyes.

'Why are you even looking for her?' Matteo asks.

I stare at him, making sure he doesn't say anything that will get us caught out.

'None of your business.' Vittoria snaps.

'I'm not sixteen anymore, I have the right to know.' He crosses his arms.

'You have training,' Vittoria narrows her eyes. 'Jasmine escort him out.'

Jasmine puts her hand on Matteo's arm and he slightly relaxes. She leads him out of the room.

'Amira and Alora have both been watching the security cameras and nothing has appeared.' Alessandro says.

'Where's Zoya?' She asks.

'She felt so sick,' I lie. 'I let her lay in bed all day.'

Vittoria doesn't seem convinced but doesn't push it any further. Her phone rings and when she checks the caller ID her face pales and she leaves the room.

I immediately call Alora, she picks up after two rings.

'I need you to trace that call,' I say.

'I'm already on it, it's an untraceable number but I can record the entire conversation.' She replies.

'Good,' I say. 'We need it for later.'

I end the call and turn to Fouzia.

'Thanks for no saying anything.' I say.

'Yeah, whatever,' she replies, zipping up her jacket. 'I still don't think that this is a good idea.'

'Jealousy?' Alessandro asks.

'You're not funny.' She turns to him.

He rolls his eyes.

Lorenzo walks into the room and beckons me towards him.

'What's up?' I ask.

'Vittoria said that you have to train the new recruits.' He replies laughing.

'Jesus,' I mutter, rubbing my forehead. 'Where are they?'

'Training facilities, but be careful they're loud.' He warns.

We walk to the gym and I see him smiling at his phone.

'How's Amira?' I ask, raising an eyebrow.

'I don't know what you mean,' he replies, putting his phone away.

'Who said I meant anything?' I ask. 'I just asked a simple question.'

'She's fine.' Lorenzo says, running a hand through his blonde hair.

'I saw a new recruit talking to her yesterday,' I lie, looking for his reaction. 'I think his name was Stefan or something.'

Lorenzo narrows his icy blue eyes and clenches his jaw.

'That's nice,' he says tonelessly.

'Yeah he was very close to her.' I try not to laugh.

'You said his name was Stefan?' Lorenzo asks.

I nod.

'Good to know.'

'There he is now,' I lie.

Lorenzo immediately turns around and I snicker.

'Fuck off,' he mutters.

'So you do like her?' I smirk.

'No I don't,' he replies.

'Liar, that reaction wasn't normal at all.' I reply.

'You're one to talk.' He mutters. 'We see the way you look at her.'

'Amira's sure to like you back.' I say.

'We see the way you look at Dilara.'

'Stop changing the conversation.'

'You stop changing it.' He sighs. 'Even if Amira did like me back, she would never do anything because it's against her religion completely.'

'You have to prove to her that you're worth it.' I shrug.

'I don't want her to go against her faith.' He says. 'The fact that she's so drawn to it, draws me to her.'

We walk into the gym and all the recruits immediately quiet down.

'Have fun Boss.' Lorenzo hits my back.

'This conversation isn't over.' I mutter.

'Sure.' He laughs.

'As you all know, I'm Adriano Giovanni heir to this Mafia and I will be teaching you some tricks.'

'Everyone grab a gun and we'll practice your shooting.' I command.

They all disperse and grab their guns. This short girl is left with a gun that she can barely hold up so I give her one of mine.

'Thank you,' she mumbles before going to a target.

'All of you should raise your guns and squint to aim properly, never close one eye unless you're using a sniper gun.' I explain.

I demonstrate for the kids, shooting each bullseye. and they clap when I'm done.

I look over at Lorenzo and see Fouzia staring at us. I make eye contact with her and she quickly looks away. Her eyes are puffy and red, it's seems as if she were crying.

'Practice your shooting and, I'll be right back.' I say.

I walk over to her and she avoids my eyes.

'Are you ok?' I ask.

'I just want you to know that I never asked for this,' she says signalling between us. 'I'm just as upset as you are.'

'I know.' I reply.

'I wanted a love marriage too, but I got stuck with someone who won't even look in my direction.' She says. 'So hate me all you want because I really wish I wasn't here.'

She turns around and walks out. I catch Lorenzo looking at me and he immediately looks away.
