"So, which one have you decided to try?" Lionel asked me.
"I like the bow," I said. "It makes me feel really cool, like I'm an assassin or something."
Lionel looked at me suspiciously. "You aren't thinking of killing anyone with it are you?"
I rolled my eyes. "No! I'm not going to do something like that!"
"I still think you should learn how to use the sword," Lionel said.
I looked at the wooden sword lying on the ground. "I don't think it's as fun as the bow and arrow, or the crossbow."
And besides, the sword is way more tiring to use than a bow and arrow.
He sighed, disappointed. "But I'm not good at archery! I won't be able to teach you anything beyond the basics."
"Then I'll learn the basics with you and then find a more experienced person to teach me later," I shrugged. "Maybe we can learn together?"
"Do you want to learn together?" he asked.
"Yeah, I don't mind!" I replied. "The more the merrier, after all."
"Alright, fine."
Now that training ended, Lionel and I walked over to Commander Landon to ask him for a new bow.
"Excuse me Commander Landon, do you have a moment?" I asked.
"Yes, did you need something?" He turned to look at me.
"She tried using this wooden bow earlier but it's too big for her current wingspan. Should we get a smaller one made for her?" Lionel answered for me.
"Are your arrows falling short of the target?" Commander Landon asked me.
"Yes, they land in the ground in front of the target. I have to aim higher than the target for it to go farther ahead," I replied.
"I will see what I can do about that. Is archery the only thing you want to train?"
"I can try using the crossbow first," I replied. "But I think long range weapons are more suited for me."
"That's the impression I got as well, you don't seem like a short-ranged weapon user" Commander Landon admitted. "Give me a week or two for that bow of yours. I will let you know when it is finished."
