Leonardo's POV:

Six days...

It had been six excruciating days since Antonio lapsed into a coma and this time, it was not medically induced.

Victor had not moved from Antonio's side since he fell into a coma six days ago gripping Antonio's hand in a desperate attempt to hold on to him. It was as if he was punishing himself for what had happened, blaming himself for not being there to protect his brother. He sat there, consumed with guilt, not moving or speaking, just staring at his friend. People often assumed that I was Victor's closest brother, but Antonio had been there for him since childhood. As I watched Victor sit there day after day, his eyes fixed on 's motionless body, I couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness and helplessness wash over me. I want to comfort him, to tell him that everything will be okay, but the words won't come.

Daniel was even more unbending; on a mission to find whoever was responsible and bring them to justice. He was rarely seen, likely out searching for the culprits. it was hard to see him so consumed by his anger. He spent his days and nights for any clues that might lead him to the people responsible, his frustration and anger fueling his every move. It was clear to all of us that he was on the brink of losing himself to his own rage. He had become a man possessed, barely sleeping or eating as he searched for any clue that might lead him to the culprits. Even though I knew how dangerous and irrational his actions had become, I couldn't blame him for his rage.

Grandpa and uncles were doing their best to comfort their wives, but Uncle Leander was on the verge of collapse. Uncle Leander, who had always been the strongest of the family, had crumbled under the weight of his grief. He refused to leave Antonio's side, his eyes never leaving his son's face. He would whisper words of love and encouragement, hoping against hope that Tony would hear him and wake up, he would often break down in tears, unable to bear the thought of losing his son.No pleading could convince him to leave Tony's side and rest. I can see the pain etched on his face, and it's clear he won't leave Antonio's side until he wakes up. But what will happen if he doesn't wake up?

The younger members of the family were struggling to come to terms with the gravity of the situation. They had grown up with Antonio, and the thought of him not being there was too much to bear. Isabella remained stoic, not shedding a tear, but her care for all of us was evident. Even she was affected by Antonio's condition.

Niccolo and Dante were fighting their own battles in their own ways. Dante spent his days at the hospital, working tirelessly to ensure that Tony received the best care possible. , on the other hand, Niccolo was using his connections to try and track down the people responsible for what had happened. The doctors and Dante had given us hope, saying that Antonio's health was improving, and he would wake up in a few days. We all prayed for him to pull through, to come back to us.

I sat there, feeling powerless, watching as my family fell apart before my eyes. was like a brother to me, and the thought of losing him was almost too much to bear. Maybe I should have been there to protect him, to prevent this from happening. But it's too late for that now. He will be fine. He has to.

Suddenly, I heard Daniel's voice behind me. 'He will be fine,' he said reassuringly. 'He will wake up and then chew our ears off not before giving us a piece of his mind.' I turned around and saw my brother standing there.' I turned around and saw my brother standing there. I stood up and hugged him, and he smiled slightly before hugging me back. It was good to have him here with us. Daniel was always the one who could comfort us even in the darkest of times.

"Do you know who did it?" I asked Daniel, my voice barely above a whisper as Isabella was sitting with Grandpa and the twins.

Daniel hummed thoughtfully before taking me outside of the room. We walked down the hallway, our footsteps echoing in the silence. Finally, he turned to face me, his eyes blazing with fury. "Russians," he said, his voice low and dangerous. "They were the ones who shot Tony."

My mind reeled with the implications of his words. Russians. I could feel my blood boiling with anger.

"How do you know?" I asked, my voice trembling with rage.

Daniel's jaw clenched as he spoke. "Everything was a distraction when that bastard Felix started shooting at us," he said, his voice rising with anger. "But there were other shots, from outside. We didn't realize it at the time, but there were Russians firing at us too. They were the ones who shot Tony."

I could see the rage burning in his eyes, and I knew that he was just as determined as I was to bring these people to justice. "We have to do something," I said firmly. "We can't just sit here and do nothing"

Daniel nodded, his expression grim. "We won't rest until we get justice," he said, his voice filled with determination. "We'll make them pay for what they've done, and we'll do it together." we both walked back to the room silently.

"we will," I said firmly

Our conversation was interrupted by a groan suddenly filling the air. Everyone stood up and looked at Antonio, who seemed to be stirring in his sleep. We all held our breaths, waiting for him to wake up.

Slowly but surely, Tony's eyes fluttered open, and the room fell silent for a moment as if everyone was holding their breath. When he finally opened his eyes, there was a collective sigh of relief, and everyone rushed to his side.

Auntie Luna was the first to reach him, her eyes brimming with tears of joy." oh son" She hugged Tony tightly, whispering words of love in his ear after that aunty sofia hugged him tightly tears falling down her eyes. Victor and Uncle Leander exchanged a look of relief while Isabella beamed at Tony. Daniel and I stood by Tony's side, holding his hand tightly. We could feel his grip tightening on ours.

Maximo, Romeo, Niccolo, Dante, Giovanni, Enzo, and Armando, all crowded around him, each one expressing their relief and happiness in their own way. Maximo patted Tony on the back, his eyes shining with pain. Romeo hugged him fiercely, tears streaming down his face. Dante clapped him on the shoulder, his eyes filled with admiration. Giovanni ruffled his hair, a grin on his face. Enzo hugged him tightly, his eyes filled with tears. Armando simply stood there, his eyes fixed on Tony, his expression unreadable. Niccolo embraced him silently.

grandpa's hands shook as he hugged Tony, whispering words of love in his ear. grandma's eyes were red and puffy from crying, but she managed a weak smile as she hugged him.

"the hell" Tony muttered almost getting up before Uncle Lorenzo swiftly stopped him with a stern expression.

Uncle gently pushed Antonio back and said, "Please calm down, son." Grandma looked at him with concern and asked, "How are you feeling, dear?"

Antonio exchanged glances with us before replying to Grandma, "I am fine, Grandma. Dont worry"

Isabella, raised her eyebrows inquisitively and asked, "What happened?"

Dante told Antonio, "You had an accident, Tony. You don't remember?"

Antonio nodded, and then Dante and Bella exchanged glances before nodding in agreement.

Daniel turned to his sister and asked, " Hermana can you accompany Giovanni home and get Tony's clothes?"

She stood up with Giovanni who turned to face Victor and Grandpa before leaving with Isabella .

As soon as they left, I turned to Antonio and asked, "Who did this to you? What happened?"

Antonio's face darkened with anger as he replied, "The Russians fired at us from behind, Leo. There were way too many men and they fired from behind it seems that Russians have started making alliances with our enemies." There was a tense silence in the room as we all contemplated the gravity of the situation.

As Antonio's words hung in the air, a sense of unease settled over us. we knew that the Russians were a dangerous group, and the fact that they had targeted one of us was a serious insult to our honour.

Uncle Leander looked at Antonio with deep concern and asked, "Are you sure you're okay, son? Do you need anything?"

Antonio's eyes blazed with determination as he shook his head. "No, Dad. I'm fine. I just want to know why the gangs are aligning with the Russians while the Blood gangs want to ally with us. We need to get to the bottom of this and make them pay."

"Something is going on with the gangs that are affecting the mafias now," Niccolo stated, his voice low with worry.

Dante nodded in agreement and added, "We can't let them get away with this. We need to show them that we are not to be trifled with."

"I won't rest until we have avenged this insult to our family's honour," Victor said, his fists clenched in rage.

Grandpa's eyes clouded with anger and determination as he spoke. "We must exercise caution and prudence, my dear children. We cannot allow our emotions to cloud our judgment. But make no mistake, we will make them repent the day they crossed us."

"We won't rest until we get revenge," I seethed, my heart thudding with a mix of dread and anger.

Aunt Sofia's voice was soft but resolute. "Don't talk like that. Revenge won't bring back the time you lost or undo what's been done."

"I know that, Mom. But we have to show them that we're not weak. We have to safeguard our family and our business," Armando replied, his voice quavering with emotion.

"Exactly. We can't let them get away with this. We have to send a message," Uncle Lorenzo declared, his eyes flashing with fiery determination.

"You need to rest and recover. You just got out of surgery. You can't even move your arm yet," Victor said, his voice thick with concern for his brother.

"I don't care about my arm. I care about our honour and our reputation. If we let them shoot us and get away with it, we will be a laughingstock," Antonio growled, his voice hoarse with pain and anger.

"That's right. We can't let them think they can mess with us. We have to hit back twice as hard, but we need to be cautious and prudent," Daniel said, his voice measured and controlled.

"That's right. We can't let them think they can mess with us. We have to hit back twice as hard, but that doesn't mean you get hurt again. Focus on your recovery first." I said firmly.

"Exactly. I'm going to make some calls and see if we can get some intel on their operations. We need to strike when they least expect it," Daniel said before patting Antonio's shoulder and leaving.

"Just be careful. We don't want to make things worse," Maximo warned.

"We'll be careful. But we can't just sit around and wait for them to come after us again. We have to take the fight to them," Armando replied before following Dante and Daniel out of the room.

"they will pay for this insult" Romeo declared, his eyes blazing with steely resolve.

"We'll get them, don't you worry. We'll make them regret the day they ever crossed us," Grandpa vowed, his voice ringing with fierce determination.
