================================== ??? "S-Sir! The Anomaly is going berserk!" One of the scientists said Amongst the chaos, One Man didn't flinch. He simply watched the Anomaly in amazement.

All of the scientists scrambled out, terrified of the Anomaly's power, running to the exit for safety.

Scattered papers were everywhere and some dead bodies lay motionless on the floor, their ears flowing with blood. But for as long as they could blink, the Anomaly rang out a loud bell sound, so loud that all of the scientists within his containment vicinity died. The sheer power of the bell ringing through the building, shaking as the sound echoes through further. (like the calamity bell, wooow calamity bell? the one that goes BWOOOOOONG in terraria calamity mod :3 or whatever you want it to sound like, just a loud bell is good) "How dangerous can this thing be?" The Man said, asking for the answers from the scientists

But all he got was dead silence, everyone has died near him. It was only Him and the Anomaly left in the containment.

But this did not make the Man sad or angry, instead. He slowly smiled, a smile that one would call Insane "Good... It's a pleasure to work with you..." "Rhine Labs." ================================== 06:25 PM, RHODES ISLAND CAFETERIA (Y/N Pov) It's getting late... The sun is already setting... Let's see... I should eat first, then I will find a place to sleep here, oh. Don't forget to find my bag, I need it for sleeping... And.. Uhm... Bonk!

"Owie!" I was interrupted by a smack on the head

"Hey, I know your hungry and all, but please don't stare into space for too much!" Mostima scolded me with a Bottle

"Sheesh... Can't you at least poke me or something..?" "I did... You ignored me..." "Ah." I guess I really did ignore her, "Sorry, I'll try not to daze off next time..."

"Gosh..." She rolled her eyes and gave me a paper bag, "Come on, as promised. We'll talk more."

I took the paper bag from her, "Yeah.. Why are we eating outside specifically..?"

"It's refreshing, and I like the view right now" She smiled As of right now, we were in the Cafeteria, walking out to the outside of the Cafeteria, oh wow! They have an outdoor area! So spacious too! "Come on, (Y/N). I'm starving~" She walked happily towards an empty bench

"So eager... Me too, actually!" I jogged towards her

We both sat down besides each other, the bench facing towards the vast dark desert, while the glowing stars decorate the empty black sky, the moon illuminating light towards the empty land

... "So, why are we here again..?" I asked nervously

"Seriously..? You said you wanted to know more about me..." Mostima scoffed in disappointment

"Woah, okay jeez..." I opened the paper bag and grabbed a... What..?

"Uh, what's this..?" I grabbed something that kind of looks like a small-ish cake..?

"Hey Mostima, what is.. This..." I looked at her

"Pfft."

She was holding her laugh.

"What's so funny?" I looked at her unamused

"Ehem... Sorry, you looked really stupid holding it like that..!" She got closer,

"This is a Blueberry Cupcake! I got them from a nearby Lungmen pastry when I passed by!" She smiled whilst fixing the upside down Cupcake on my hand,

"They're my favourite flavour!"

Huh... Sounds so... Distant, yet so familiar... Blueberry... Cupcake... Cake... Charlotte's...? Slap! "Woah!" Mostima got startled as I slapped myself in the face, "Y-You okay..?"

"..."

She put her hand on my shoulder,

"(Y/N)..?"

I looked besides me, and Mostima was looking at me worried.

"You okay..?" She asked, "You slapped yourself in the face earlier."

But.. She felt so different. This wasn't Mostima's aura, I feel something different than hers. It felt... Mysterious... And familiar. "..Charlotte..?" (Author Pov) "Ah? Who's that?" Mostima asked (Y/N)

He snapped back to his senses

"Oh... Sorry, just thinking about something..." (Y/N) said and took a bite out of his cupcake

"Charlotte?" She said with a small smile on her face

"...Yeah." (Y/N) looked down with a slight sadness in his face, slumping back down to the bench

Mostima noticed this and quickly changed the topic, "Oh! Say, Do you want more candies from Victoria?"

She took out a piece of candy from her coat

(Y/N) looked to her hand, which was offering him what looked like a candy wrapped in red plastic

"Hm, don't mind if I do.." He said with a small smile on his face, taking the candy from her

Mostima sighed in relief, "Heh, it's strawberry flavoured."

She rested back down to the bench, taking another candy from her pocket Crunch! ... "Did you just.. Bite the candy?" Mostima asked with a bit of concern in her tone

"Oof... It wouldn't break down, so I bit it... Ouch..." (Y/N) rubbed his cheek which was a bit hurt from crunching the strawberry down.

"You're not.. Supposed to bite it..." Mostima was speechless

"Aah... That's gonna leave a mark..." (Y/N) slid one finger into his mouth to check in his teeth

Mostima was staring at him in confusion and slightly annoyed, not only had he just bit down a candy she couldn't even break with her mouth in the first place!

"Awh... I think I broke one.." He grinned stupidly

"You're supposed to lick it... Here." Mostima opened the candy wrap and stuffed one in her mouth

"Youw supowsed to eat it like this..! " She motions at her mouth as she chews on the sweet candy

"Mhm..." (Y/N) was staring at her, "You're not supposed to bite it then..?"

"No, you silly..!"

"Ah... Got it..." (Y/N) snickered

They both sat there as their surroundings got more darker, talking about different kinds of things (Y/N) wanted to know, and sometimes Mostima asked (Y/N) about his experience too

"So, do you have any close friends?" (Y/N) curiously asked her

"Well." She paused for a bit, "For me. Friends, family, and love..." She looked at the sky, "I have nothing against them, but I don't need them either."

(Y/N) was intrigued by this, "Why's that..?"

"Ooh, getting a bit deeper are we?" Mostima smirked

"Uh huh... You seem like a cool.. Girl."

Mostima was surprised by this, before sighing softly,

"Heh, not like that's going to stop you from trying, right? Well, I don't really mind. So give it your best shot~" She nudged at him

"Yeah... You catch on quick..." (Y/N) smiled awkwardly

"Hehe..." Mostima giggled

They both sat there in silence for a while, gazing at the gleaming star in the sky, enjoying the cool night breeze as the landship moved.

"A bit dull, isn't it..?"

(Y/N) mumbled to himself, Mostima didn't quite hear it, so she brushed it off

She then checked the time on her phone, looking at it before slowly getting up,

"Well, I still have work to do... It was fun chatting with you, (Y/N).." She took her black bag and sung it over her back,

"I'll be going now, are you not going back to your dorms?"

"I'll do that later... I'll see you soon then.." (Y/N) held his hands up for a handshake

"Heh, alright~" She shook his hand, "Good night, (Y/N)!" She then walked away

(Y/N) heard her footsteps getting quieter and further, now left alone in the balcony, he closed his eyes before remembering something,

"..I got sidetracked."

He internally face palmed, it was already this late, How did he forget what he wanted to go in the first place?

"Meh, I'll think about that later." (Y/N) closed his eyes and emptied his mind, slowly getting more and more sleepy.

"So chilly out here..." Was the last thing he mumbled before fully drifting to sleep, sitting whilst resting back to the bench

04:03 AM, RHODES ISLAND OUTDOOR CAFETERIA (Y/N Pov) "Mmnh..."

"Gah! What the hell?!" I was suddenly woken up by the sudden light flashing into my face, quickly covering my eyes with my hand

"Urrgh... What is this, the sun..? Oh it is..." I rubbed my eyes,

"Fuuck... My whole body is damn sore..." I got up sluggishly whilst stretching my body,

"Urk... It's a bit cozy here.. Ah?" I looked around and saw that I was wearing a black... Coat..?

"Since when did..." Examining the coat I was wearing, it had some sort of... Fur? Fluffy fur on the hoodie area. It was kind of big too.

"This looks similarly like... Mostimas..." ... "Is this her coat?" I asked myself ... "Yes it is." I face palmed, "I'll uh... Hm."

I don't know what to do at this point. Getting sidetracked, ate dinner here, slept here, and then woke up with someone's coat.

"Let's figure that out later..." I yawned and put my hands in my pocket, before walking inside the Cafeteria

Walking in there, the lights were still off, probably haven't started their day yet. I continued my walk outside the Cafeteria into the hallways, it was still empty and quiet, only the sound of the buzzing ceiling lamp and footstep was heard

'Huh... It's still empty...'

After walking for a while, I climbed up into one of the stairs, which seemed like it led to the roof of the Landship.

Peeking around, I saw what looked like a.. Machine? Yeah, with propeller blades on the top.

"Ooh... Nice." I smirked to myself, before walking to the black vehicle, inspecting its thing inside and out

'Heli Heli... Helicopter. Got it.'

I got in the decent sized Helicopter and sat at the back of the seats, which were covered in shadows, The seats were positioned facing each other from each side

"Ooh, that's nice..." I got myself into a comfortable position...

'Now that's... Better than the bench, yes...' I laughed internally to myself, closing my eyes and slowly got sleepier again. . . .

"How's the situation looking there, Ace?"

"Ah?" I groggily rubbed my eyes and looked around, "Who was that...?" ... "(Y/N)..?" A familiar face slowly came into my vision

"Dobermann..? Good Morning..."

"(Y/N)? What are you doing here?" Ace asked me

"Me? Oh, I uhm... Slept here..?" I stretched my body, making a few crack noises

"I didn't see you in the briefing yesterday, I thought you were newly hired..?" Dobermann asked next

"Briefing..? Ouh, noo... I slept here..." ... "..Is this thing moving right now...?" I looked at Dobermann, she nodded

"..I see..."

Ace turned his radio on, "Kal'tsit, we might have a slight problem."

"What is it?" A bland female voice came over

"It's about (Y/N)."

"What about him, Ace?"

"He's in here with us."

I looked around at the many people staring at me with weird looks

"Get him on the call." Kal'tsit told Ace

"What's wrong, Ace?" A short brown haired girl came from behind Ace.

"Ah, Amiya, good thing you're here.." Ace turned around and talked to her
