Ah...

I was lost. Like holy shit! This 'Landship' is so huge! Now I'm just walking aimlessly around the hallways, trying to find this 'Training Room' or so she said.

Medical..? No... Pass that...

Dormitory...? Not that...

Factory..? No.

Trading post... Argh! Where is the Training Room!

Flashback

"Training?"

"Yes." Kal'tsit said, "Your skill might prove useful in battle, I want you to find the Training Room to meet Dobermann. She will take your physical exam there."

"Alright!" I prepared to leave before Kal'tsit grabbed my wrist

"Wait, you should wear this." She handed me some sort of... Bracelet?

"Huh?" I took the bracelet, "What's this for?"

"It's like a tracker, it also shows your vital signs, you can wear it anywhere you want." Kal'tsit explained to me, "And makes you a part of Rhodes Island." She turned around and took something from her desk

"Oh, bring this with you." She handed me the paper from before, "Tell them to write here for you, they'll know what to do."

"Aah... Okay, got it.." I took the paper and wore the bracelet on my left wrist, making a few click noises and a beep from her computer, "Ooh... Sweet... Thank you, Kal'tsit!" I waved goodbye as I took my leave

Kal'tsit stood there for a second before snapping out of it, continuing on what she was doing before

"I forgot to give him a map..."

"O-Oh! Yeah, I'm fine..!" I quickly recomposed myself, ooh! He looks so cool! "I-Its my fault for not watching in front of me, sorry!" I held my hands out, which he gladly took

"No worries." We both shook hands before he talked again, "Are you new here? I've never seen your face before."

"Y-Yeah..! Kal'tsit hired me to.. Train..? Ooh yeah... Do you know where the Training Room is? Mister.."

"Ace." He answered, "You can call me Ace, no formalities needed" he pat my shoulder

"A-Alright... Ace.. My name is (Y/N), nice to meet you!"

"No code name?" Ace asked me

"Huh?" I was confused, "Code name? What's that..?"

Ace scratched his beard a bit, "Heh, nevermind, alright kid. Where were you going now?"

"Do you know where is the training room?" I scratched my head, "I've been lost in this giant landship for a while now.."

He chuckled at my response, "Alright, (Y/N). Follow me, I'll show you the way."

10 Minutes Later

"Geez! Thanks Ace!" I waved to him

"No problem, kid. Talk again later, eh?" He said in the distance

"Sure! Talk to you later!"

Before I arrived here, we had a conversation whilst walking to the Training Room, turns out! He's an Elite Operator! And such a cool guy! I bet he's strong with all those muscles!

Entering the Training Room, it was a huge room, there's a shooting range? Woah.

"Are you (Y/N)?" A strict voice yelled out to me



She looks like a dog..? Not to be mean, the ears are dog-like... Her height is shorter than mine, she's probably as tall as my chin, but still. She looks scary!

"Uhm, are you Dobermann..?" I asked her

"Yes. You must be (Y/N). I am Instructor Dobermann. I will be taking your combat powers." She said as she whipped the ground, "Now! 20 laps around the field!"

SLAP

"N-Now?! Eep!" She whipped my leg, GUWAAAH SHES TERRIFYING

SLAP

"No time to chit-chat! You better start now!" She yelled strictly

"Y-Yes, Instructor Dobermann!" I dropped the paper on the ground and started running

Oh boy... I might die...

1 Minute later

I gave up.

My legs gave up on me, and I wasn't even close to a single lap. I'm laying face flat on the ground, I couldn't stand up anymore.

The field is huge! How does she expect me to do this?!

"Hm. You're already exhausted." She walked beside me, "Others can do better than this. You might want to increase your stamina more." I heard her write something, but I'm too tired to move my head, my stomach was also growling

"You.. Huff... Huh... Hold on..." I breathed heavily while sitting myself up, "Urgh... This is... Too much.. Huff... For me..." I wiped the sweat on my forehead

"Here." She handed me a water bottle which I gladly accept, "We're not done yet. 5-minute break and we'll continue with the next test." She then walked away

More tests... I might die before that... I could hear my own heartbeat now...

Finishing the water bottle in one chug, my tongue was now refreshed by the fresh water, duh. I took a few breaths before standing up and following her

After a few physical exams and mobility, I asked Dobermann on how to use my powers and she instructed me to use them on a few dummies... I might get a bad grade.

Chains were noticeable everywhere, they bursted from the ceiling, the floor, the walls. Hell. One almost got Dobermann, luckily she was fast enough to redirect them away, this... Is awkward...

"Uhm..." I fiddled my fingers, "sorry... I-I didn't know how to control it..."

Dobermann was shocked at the sight, but quickly recomposed herself, "That's... A lot of power..." A bead of sweat flowed through my forehead

"I'msorrypleasedon'tfireme!!" I bowed down to her, guilt filling my mind

"Calm down, (Y/N)." She said, "You're not in trouble." She caressed my head, and for some reason, I enjoyed the soft pats of her hands... Wait no! Bad (Y/N)! She's your senior!

"R-Really..? Oh thank God..." I sighed in relief, it was like a tornado swept in this place, I hope the bills aren't too much... Shit, I haven't gotten paid yet.

"Now then..." She pulled her hands back and wrote on the paper again, "We're done with the combat test, do you know what to do next?" She gave me the paper back

"Next..? Uhm.. Give it to Kal'tsit...?" I examined the paper, uwaah... That's a lot of notes!

She sighed, "No... You'll have to go to the Medical Ward to take your health checkup next."

"I see..." I held back for a bit before continuing, "Then... C-Can you take me there..?"

"Unfortunately." She crossed her hands, "I'm still busy at the moment, but I can call someone to guide you there."

"Ah?" I said in confusion

"Jessica!" She yelled to the shooting range, then a small yelp came from the shooting range, it sounded like another girl was being trained by Instructor Dobermann...

Coming out of the corner, a purple-haired girl who looked like a cat approached Dobermann

"Y-Yes Instructor D-Dobermann! How can I-I help you?"

"Can you take (Y/N) to the Medical Ward?" She told Jessica

"Y-Yes..!" She jumped, her tail stiffened, "P-Please follow me (Y/N)..!"

I then followed Jessica, waving goodbye to Dobermann, which he totally ignored and continued to walk away, sheesh... Kind of rude... Can't blame her though. I guess that's how Instructor works.

Walking through the hallway with Jessica, passing by People as we walked, some of them had swords and crossbows... This place is scary! Why are there so many people with weapons here?

"So Uhm. Jessica, right?" I asked her, she got startled, "Do you know why everyone has weapons..? It's kind of scary thinking this is a Pharmacy company."

"O-Oh... You haven't asked Instructor Dobermann..?" She questioned me back, more like I didn't get the time to talk to her

"W-Well..." She stuttered a bit, "It's kind of like a Private Military.. Sort of..."

"Private Military?"

"Rhodes isn't at the best condition right now... So they work for other companies... Like a charity.. Or some sort..."

"Oh."

So they're not doing well in terms of money huh... Well, this world is shit after all.

Nodding to her answer, we continued walking as I glanced outside of the window, the sun high up on the sky, the vast open empty desert, passing by a few plants, it was kind of relaxing... Wait.

"Are we in a desert, Jessica?" I asked her

"H-Huh..?" She was confused, "Y-Yes we are... We're going to Chernobog..."

Going? What? Are you telling me this Rhodes Island 'Landship' is moving?

"We're moving right now..?" I asked her again, let's just make sure...

"Y-Yes.."

"This thing moves?!" I yelled out, What the fuck?! How does this thing move?!

"Hey! How does this thing.. Move..." I looked around to see Jessica with a scared face, "Jessica? You okay?"

She looked at me like I was a ghost or something... "Is there something on my face?"

"Y-Your nose is bleeding!" She yelled, "O-Oh my God (Y/N)! H-Hold on! W-We're almost there!" She carried me by the shoulder, supporting me

"W-Woah hey! I'm fine Jessica! No need to help me!" I told her, she looked like she was gonna have a mini heart attack, oh God I'm so gonna die.

"N-No! We have to h-hurry!" She picked up the pace, I tried to move away but she was strong, feeling like my legs are noodles and I was about to pass out, so I let her help me... Can't really complain though. She's kind of cute. We were walking to a door that looked like the Medical Ward-

BLAM

"What's with all the noise! Keep it down for a minute!" A pale girl slammed the door open



"If you want to fight, take it somewhere else....? Huh..? Jessica?" She confusingly looked at us

"D-Doctor Warfarin! H-Help! He's bleeding!" Jessica said panicking

"I'm fine... It's just a nosebleed..." I ran my hand through my hair, helplessly trying to soothe the mild headache I was having right now, It was so sudden... Urgh..

"Whos the new guy?" The now-called Dr. Warfarin asked,

I looked up at Jessica, "Is this the Medical Ward, Jessica..?" I mumbled quietly

"Y-Yes..! We're here (Y/N)..!" She answered, still supporting me from falling into the cold metal floor

"Oh... That's a relief..." I said before passing out, my consciousness giving up on me, all the noise muffled and my sight blurry, dropping the paper

"(Y-Y/N)!"

That was the last thing I heard before fully falling into the darkness

10 Minutes later

"What is this guy..." Warfarin said as she was stressed

For the last 30 minutes, Warfarin has been examining (Y/N)'s vital sign and oripathy. Scan after scan, she isn't sure how he's still alive at this point

"He should be a crystal at this point, what is happening?" she checked his scan result again, going paper to paper about his condition, (Y/N)'s body was fully covered in Originium from the interiors but was fine from the outside, "This guy..."

Everytime she took his blood, it smelled like... nothing. She smelt nothing from his blood, it was just pure liquid. Almost like water, no smell and no taste. Yes, she did taste his blood.

"This is new... I might tell Kal about this..." She said to no one as she went and put (Y/N)'s blood pack to the storage locker, going back to his new patient (Y/N), she hadall of the scribbles and notes on her desk, she was still confused about his condition, unsure if he's still alive or is just a living corpse.

"(Y/N), Ooh (Y/N)... Your making things harder for me..." Warfarin rubbed her temples, trying to soothe the minor headache she was having, "100% Originium Assimilation... This guy is insane... I'm surprised he's not turning into a statue yet..."

"Warfarin?" A womanlike voice said behind her Warfarin turned around

"Folinic? What's up?"



"Dr. Kal'tsit asked you to check up on the new guy, right?"

"You mean (Y/N)?" Warfarin pointed to the boy lying down on the patient's bed.

"Yeah, can I see his result?" Folinic asked her

She shrugged, "Sure, all yours. I'm beat." Warfarin gave her the paper, she thanked Warfarin and examined the paper

"HOLY SHIT?! WARFARIN! WHAT'S WITH HIS ORIGINIUM LEVEL?!" Folinic screamed

"Ouch!" Warfarin covered her ears, "Jeez, you angry cat. Don't ask me. It's his results."

"BUT YOU TOOK HIS TEST, RIGHT!?" Folinic screamed again, a sweat ran through her forehead

"For god's sake! Stop crying out loud! I don't know how okay?! I already took so many retries and it's still the same!"

Still unconvinced, Folinic sighed in defeat, "Fine... I'll just... Bring this back..." She slumped down while walking away, leaving Warfarin behind with (Y/N) in the room.

Thud

Warfarin slammed her head into her desk, resting her head with her arms, "My God... (Y/N)... You crazy bitch..."
