Some time later, Funneh is woken up by a couple of water drops falling on her head as she finds herself inside the ruins of a small house, bandaged up and covered with acupuncture needles. She looked around before spotting a small, chubby serpentine-like demon with two arms and a tail in place of legs as it has pale, swamp-green scales and they're sitting in front of a small fire, boiling something inside a pot. Funneh attempts to crawl away on her back silently, wincing as she does so.

The serpentine-like demon raises her head slightly when one of the floorboards creak, making Funneh freeze for a moment before she goes limp, playing dead. After a few seconds, Funneh opens her eyes to find the serpentine-like demon right in her face. "Ah!" Funneh yelped and jumps, but then groans in pain. The serpentine-like demon silently holds out a cup of unknown liquid to Funneh, who looks at it unamused as she starts to say "Yeah... like you're going to get me to drink daw!" but was cut off by the serpentine-like demon sticks a needle in her forehead, making Funneh's eyes bulge and her mouth pop wide open and gives the serpentine-like demon the chance to toss the medicine in her mouth and yanks out the needle, making Funneh swallow and whatever she gave her makes Funneh gag as she returns to the fire.

"If my master wanted you dead, he would have left you in those vines" the serpentine-like demon says softly. "Why save me?" Funneh asked as she begins removing the needles off her. "Because he knows you" the serpentine-like demon said, making Funneh raised an eyebrow just before a familiar voice was heard.

"It's been a while, hasn't it young one?"

Funneh froze as she looked at the entrance and saw Vulko standing there with a small smile. Tears formed in the corner of Funneh's eyes before she exclaimed happily "Vulko!" and quickly gets up while slightly wincing as she ran over and hugs him. "Young one, you're still injured!" Vulko said in concern, but Funneh ignored him as she hugged him tightly while sobbing silently and this made Vulko look at her with a soft expression before rubbing her head affectionately and says "It's good to see you again, young Funneh" and the serpentine-like demon watches with a smile as sadness was seen in her eyes. "I see you've already met Vee" Vulko says, making Funneh look at him before looking at the serpentine-like demon and ask "You're name's Vee?" and the serpentine-like demon known as Vee nods as she says "Yes and you must be Funneh, right?" and this surprised Funneh.

"You know who I am?" Funneh asked and Vee nods while saying "Master Vulko has told me a lot about you and it's a pleasure to meet you" and Funneh was surprised by this before giving her a small smile and then Vulko placed his hand on her shoulder and says in a serious tone "Let's get you some to drink and then I want you to explain something to me... Why you are out here in the middle of nowhere?" and Funneh stares at him.

After a moment, Vee slithers over to Funneh and holds out a cup of tea as she saw this and took the cup and thanked Vee, who nods as she sat next to her. "So let me get this straight... You are a creature called a 'Basilisk' and your kind went extinct years ago, but several of you including yourself were revived and held captive to study your draining magic, right?" Funneh asked as she wanted to make sure she got it right and Vee sadly nods before looking away and then Funneh placed her hand on her shoulder, making Vee look at her as she gave her a soft expression. "Hey... At least you're safe now, right?" Funneh said and Vee smiled and said "Thanks Funneh" and Funneh replied back with a small smile "No problem" and then Vulko sat down on the other side of the fire and looked at Funneh. "Alright, Funneh... Now tell why you're out here and not back at Megapolis?" Vulko asked, making Funneh freeze at that part as Vulko saw this and then asked in concern "Funneh?".

Funneh looks at him and asked "You don't know?" and this Vulko confused as he asked "Know about what?" and Funneh looked away for a moment before saying in a low voice almost as a whisper "Lady Bone Demon..." and then she looked up and saw that Vulko's face was filled with shocked and disbelief while Vee looked confused. "W-What..." Vulko said in disbelief and Funneh looked away as she continued "S-She was freed and... She took over the c-city and right now we're looking for three powerful weapons that can defeat her" and she didn't even notice that her body was shaking as Vee saw this and gently grabbed Funneh's arm to comfort her. "Three weapons?" Vulko asked, sounding confused and Funneh nodded at him before saying "Yes. Lady Irene's staff... The Elemental Staff of Might and... the Samadhi Fire".

It was silent for a moment as Funneh noticed that Vulko looked shocked and... looked scared for some reason. "What...?" Vulko breathed out and Funneh sighs and says "Yes, I know the Samadhi Fire is dangerous but there's no other way and it's the only thing powerful enough to stop her" and Vulko was silent before looking away and then Vee asked, sounding confused and worried "Master... What's going on?" and Vulko shook his head before sighing and saying to himself "Doesn't that simian know what he's doing?" and Funneh simply shrugs and replies "I hope he does" and then Vulko looks at Funneh before asking "Now young one, tell why you were out here and shouldn't you be with you family?" and Funneh stared at him before looking down with her eyes shadowed before replying "I actually... I ran away...".

Vulko looked at her surprised, confused and disbelief as he asked "What do you mean you ran away?".

What surprised Vulko was that Funneh clenched her teeth while still looking down with her eyes shadowed as she said "Tang... He lied to me and my siblings for years" and Vulko looked confused as she continued "Apparently, there was a letter in the box where me and my siblings were in when he found us. My parents... They were protecting me and the Krew from Lady Bone Demon since we were the descendants of the Mighty Five and all of my life... I resented them.. my parents and I didn't even know that they sacrificed themselves to make sure that we were safe... It proved to me that my parents really did love me..." and at the last part Funneh was in tears before shutting her eyes tight as her tears kept falling to the ground and clenched both her fists tightly as they turned white.

Vulko frowned at this before asking "And what did you do after you found this letter?" and Funneh looked away before saying "I snapped... I let all my anger out and in the process... I hurt Mk and I didn't mean too" and she started shaking as she remembered what she did to Mk before clenching her eyes shut again. "What happened?" Vulko asked softly and Funneh seemed to hesitated at first before saying something that made Vulko froze.

"I... I bloodbend him. I bloodbended my friend"

Funneh couldn't take it anymore and suddenly burst into tears as she was sobbing while letting all of her emotions out, Vulko was shocked and stunned by this while Vee was worried about Funneh and decided to do something. Funneh continued sobbing until she felt arms wrapping around her and when she looked up, Funneh was surprised to see a 15 year old girl with light brown skin hugging her. The girl's hair is green with blue tips, resembling Vee's fins and she's wearing a yellow and orange striped sweater with a pumpkin on the chest, blue torn pants and brown boots.



"V-Vee?" Funneh asked sounding surprised and then Vee gave a shy smile before looking away as if she was ashamed of her appearance while saying "This... This is my d-disguise form... I-I really don't like my appearance... But you can say whatever you want..." and Funneh stared at her before squealing a little as she ruffled Vee's hair while saying "You look so cute!!" and Vee looks at Funneh shocked by this before a blush appeared on her face and looks away shyly as she muttered "R-Really?" and Funneh smiled while nodding in response, making Vee stutter "T-Thank you" and this made both Funneh and Vulko smile at Vee's shyness.

Vulko then looks at Funneh and says "It seems that we will have time to catch up as we continue your training young Funneh" and Funneh looks up at him and smiled a little at that suggestion.

Timeskip

It had been a few days since Funneh ran away from the group as she's been staying with Vulko and Vee as she continued her training and so far her progress has improved greatly from the last time she trained with Vulko. Funneh also got to know more about Vee as she learned at Vee was very insecure about herself and her existence since her kind was supposed to be extinct, but Funneh reassured that there was nothing with her and even told Vee that she was special as this made Vee burst into tears from happiness since she thought no one except Vulko would think of her any different from what she is. Whenever Vulko saw them bonding he couldn't help, but smile since he thought Funneh was the perfect example of a big sister that Vee needs in her life as he remembered when he found Vee she was scared and alone while reassuring her that he meant no harm to her and took her under his arm.

And over time that he and Vee both spent time together since that day, he remembered that Vee told him personally that he was family to her and she never wanted anything to happen to him since he's all that Vee has. While staying with Vulko and Vee, Funneh tried to ignore the fact that Vulko had told her that she will need to return to her family eventually as they may be worried about her and this made Funneh scoff and told him that this was for the best and they didn't even need her... not after she accidentally bloodbended Mk in front of everyone and she doesn't want to hurt anyone like that ever again.

Right now, Funneh and Vulko are squared off in a sword fighting ring as it was in front of an abandoned training building while Vee watches from the sidelines. Funneh, who is wearing a training outfit with her hair tied in a ponytail was ready with her sword while Vulko had pointed his sword at the ground also in position as his other hand raised and pointed. Vee watches nervously as Funneh switches to a panning position and then Vulko lunges forward and begins his attack.

Funneh backs away as Vulko strikes four times, each one parried by her and Funneh attempts a strike of her own. Vulko moves his head out of the way and stabs at Funneh, who sways back and avoids the attack; Vulko sweeps his sword at Funneh's legs, but Funneh jumps over it and lunges at Vulko, thrusting her sword forward and as a result Vulko deflects Funneh's blade and pushes her back as Funneh is knocked back several feet and slides over the ground. She flips herself backward and grabs a post of a small bridge to regain her balance. Funneh quickly climbs onto the post and leaps to the other one just as Vulko thrusts his sword at her. He spins around and tries to slice Funneh's foot, but she jumps away as Funneh jumps to the other rail of the bridge. Vulko stabs at Funneh again, but she jumps off the rail and rolls to the side. Vulko strikes again, but Funneh rolls under the blade and blocks Vulko's next strike. She runs to the left and jumps onto the railing again as Funneh leaps away to the end of the bridge, dodging as Vulko swings his sword at her as Vulko says "Excellent! Using your superior agility against an older opponent... smart".

Vulko charges at Funneh again as she readies her sword. Vulko strikes at Funneh and pushes her up a large stone stairway with Vulko titled up toward the stairs as Funneh blocks all of the attacks, but the force pushes her against the wall of the stairway. Funneh's back hits the wall and she deflects a thrust from Vulko upward and ducks as the blade slices through the part of the wall above her shoulder. Vulko swings his sword around his head and body in two large circles as Funneh barely dodges Vulko's blade, cart wheeling to the right. She spins back around, hops a foot off the ground and pushes off the wall with her legs, propelling herself forward, sword extended. Vulko deflects the attack as Funneh rolls across the stair to the other wall, climbing to the top and reaches the top. "Good use of terrain... fighting from the high ground" Vulko says as funneh swings at him below her, who parries and swings at Funneh.

Vulko thrusts his sword at Funneh, who pins the blade under her own blade, weighted down under her feet. Vulko tries to wrench his sword free and then he steps forward as he pushes his sword upward, throwing Funneh off and she grunts while stumbling back into a tall stalk of bamboo and Vee winced at the sight. Funneh then looks up slightly fearfully as strands of her hair fall over her face as Vulko raises his sword and charges at Funneh, who ducks Vulko's attack that slices through the bamboo just above her head and she turns to run off into the bamboo thicket as she runs away and Funneh runs through the bamboo thicket while slicing through as many surrounding stalks of bamboo that she can as Vulko chases after her and the stalks all begin to fall and he skillfully cuts through the bamboo. Funneh runs through the bamboo and turns while grabbing a stalk and pulling it and she lets it go just as Vulko catches up and cuts through it with ease as Funneh tries to attack from behind. "Yes, use your surroundings" Vulko says as he deflects the attacks as Funneh runs away and grabs two more stalks and pulls them back before releasing them as they whip around at Vulko, who slices through them while saying "Make them fight for you!".

Funneh runs out of the bamboo and back toward the sword fighting ring as Vulko not far behind. Funneh looked determined and tired as she takes a look behind, but Vulko has run off to the side and out of sight. Funneh turns to look ahead only for Vulko to strike out in front of her, trying to make her run into it. However, Funneh leans back as it felt like slow motion and she slides under the blade. Funneh stands back up and stumbles forward a bit, stabbing her sword into the ground to stop her fall. Funneh uses her momentum to swing her sword back around, flinging dirt and dust at Vulko as the dirt hits him in the face, blinding him. Vulko spins around while he coughs and positions his sword behind his back to defend any sneak attacks and Vulko tries to open his eyes, but couldn't as he closes his eyes and says "Very resourceful".

Vulko turns his head and listens for any sounds and Funneh raises her sword defensively as she slowly tries to sneak away, careful not to make any noises that would give away her location and unfortunately there was a twig on the ground as Funneh didn't see it and steps on it, snapping it as she stiffed in shock. Vulko turns his head toward Funneh when he hears it and then he twirls his sword around into an offensive position and charges forward, Funneh takes a step back as Vulko closes in and strikes. Funneh parries the attack and Vulko catches Funneh's blade with his own and he pushes Funneh's sword around in two circles and flings Funneh's sword out of her hands as Funneh watches her sword fly into the air and stab into the ground several feet away. Funneh looked a little worried and was about to waterbend as a last resort when Vulko moved to attack and what felt like slow motion again Vulko swings his sword in large, horizontal arc at Funneh.

Funneh is not cut by the blade, but is instead hit in the chest by Vulko's arms, knocking her on her back. Funneh lands on the ground and she looks up a little fearfully as Vulko turns and points his sword at Funneh's head and she leans back in fear.

Getting worried for Funneh, Vee starts running toward them, but then Vulko swings his sword away from Funneh, halting Vee. "Excellent work, Funneh. You have improved from last time" Vulko said as he looks at her despite his eyes were still closed and gave a small heartwarming smile while Funneh looked surprised for a moment before giving a smile smile back at him. Vulko puts his sword back in his scabbard while Vee walks up and hands him a white cloth as he wipes the dirt off his face. "You have been improving very well, young Funneh. But sooner or later you must continue your training on your own. If you stay on this path, I know that one day you will become an even greater master than I am" Vulko says as this stunned Funneh before she hugged Vulko, who was surprised for a moment before a gentle smile appeared and patted Funneh's head and then Vee also joined in the hug, not wanting to be left out.

3rd POV

It has now been almost a week since Funneh had been staying with Vulko and Vee. Right now, Funneh was meditating, concentrating on a rock while getting wet in the process by a waterfall.



Funneh suddenly clenched her teeth as a memory was coming to her, making her lose concentration.

Flashback

"I knew if I told you and the Krew, you all would shut down. As much as I wanted to tell you all... I-I couldn't. I'm so sorry Funneh... I hope you could-" Tang starts to say while reaching out to Funneh, but she slapped his hand away and glared at him. "I wish my parents were here instead of you!" Funneh spat out with venom in her voice, making Tang's eyes filled with tears.

Funneh then started walking away from the group and then Mk rushed over to her and grabbed her by the shoulder and started to say while trying to calm her down "Funneh, that was too far. Look, I know you're upset but you didn't have to-".

"SHUT UP!!" Funneh yelled before turning around and raised her hand, then suddenly Mk writhes in pain as he screamed while Funneh bloodbend him from the ground and into the air as if she was in a trance blind rage. "Mk/Kid/Monkey boy!!!" everyone screamed in shock and horror by this and then suddenly when hearing Mk screaming in pain made Funneh snapped out of her trance before she stopped, making Mk fall to the ground in the process. "Kid!!" Monkey King exclaimed as he quickly ran to him and helped him up while whimpering in pain from Funneh's sudden action.

Funneh's eyes widened as they were filled with fear and horror as she realized what she had just done before she remembered what LBD told her.

"Just a piece of the game you cannot possibly comprehend... Bloodbender"

Flashback Ends

Funneh snapped her eyes open with a gasp before she shut her eyes tightly while rubbing her head as she hissed from that memory. Ever since Funneh ran away from the group that very memory kept haunting her since then and she had been trying to ignore it, but that memory keeps appearing almost at any time. Funneh sighs before muttering to herself "Was I... Was I a little harsh...?" and then closes her eyes and tried to get back to meditation with a sigh. But she couldn't focus as she kept hearing Mk screaming in pain in her head, the group screaming out her name and even heard Lady Bone Demon's voice taunting her.

Suddenly tears started to form at the edge of Funneh's eyes before she let out a yell of frustration before grabbing her sword and threw it towards a tree as it almost hit Vee, who let out a yelp in surprise and stares at it before looking at Funneh, whose eyes widened in shock. "Oh my gosh, Vee! I'm so, so sorry!! Are you okay!?" Funneh exclaimed as she jumped off the rock and into the small pond and quickly ran towards Vee to make sure that she was okay and not harmed.

"I'm okay Funneh. You just spooked me, that's all. No harm done" Vee said and Funneh stared at her in disbelief before saying "No, it's not! I could've hurt you or worse!!" and then Funneh looked away with her arms crossed and shuts her eyes tightly with tears coming down. Vee gets concerned and says "Funneh?" and in a low tone Funneh said "I'm sorry Vee... I didn't mean it... I promise" and then she starts shaking again Funneh realized that she almost hurt Vee this time and Vee frowns a little before she hugs Funneh from behind, surprising her by this sudden action. "You didn't do anything wrong Funneh. Mistakes are part of learning to be better... You've been holding in a lot, haven't you?" Vee said and Funneh turns around and stares at her with a surprised expression. "Just let it out, it'll make you feel better" Vee says softly and then suddenly Funneh dropped on her knees and says while sobbing tearfully "I miss my family... and I want my parents back!" and continued sobbing her heart out while Vee stares at her stunned before also dropping on her knees and hugs Funneh, who immediately hugged back tightly.

"Maybe you should take master Vulko's advice and try to go back to your family..." Vee said and Funneh stares at her before looking away and says "How can I even face them after what I..." and trailed off as she felt like crying again. Then a hand was placed on Funneh's shoulder, making her look over her shoulder and saw Vulko giving her an understanding smile while saying "We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided, young one. It turns out sometimes you have to do the wrong thing. Sometimes you have to make a big mistake to figure out how to make things right. Mistakes are painful, but they're the only way to find out who we really are and that is part of growing up" and Funneh looks at him before taking a deep breath and says "Ok.... I'm ready to go back to my family" and this made both Vulko and Vee smile at her decision.

Later at Day Almost Nighttime

Funneh had changed back into her clothing and fixed her hair back to the twin buns while the rest of her hair was done. Right now, Funneh was now standing in front of Vulko as they were talking.

"I hope you'll get back to family safety, young Funneh" Vulko says and Funneh nods at him while saying "Don't worry Vulko.. After everything I've been through, I'm pretty sure I can handle getting back by myself" and then Vulko smiled softly and said "Actually... Another thing young Funneh, you're not going to be traveling alone" and this confused Funneh until she saw Vee coming over with a small bag over her shoulder and then Vulko adds "Because Vee will be coming with you on your journey" and this surprised Funneh as she looks at Vee and said "You're coming with me?" and Vee smiled and said "Yeah, I am... Master Vulko thought it would be good for me to see the world a little and also help you and your friends save the world too" and Funneh stares at her before looking at Vulko almost unsure about this decision.

"Do not worry, young Funneh. She has my full permission and I know I can't hide her forever... But, will you please keep her safe for me?" Vulko says and Funneh stares at him before saying "I promise" and then Vee looks at Vulko before running to him and hugs him tightly as he ruffled her hair. "Please be careful master Vulko... I can't lose you" Vee says almost as if she was scared and Vulko smiled softly and says "Do not worry about me young Vee... I will be alright" and then Vee broke the hug as Funneh came over and also hugged Vulko while saying "It was great to see you again Vulko" and Vulko patted her back and replied "And it was good to see you again as well, young Funneh. Stay safe" and then they broke the hug and soon Funneh and Vee started leaving as Vulko watches them disappear into the forest.

"Please stay safe... Funneh" Vulko mutters.

Timeskip

Soon it was raining and Funneh was running as fast as she could while carrying Vee behind her back as they were both soaked from the rain and were still trying to find the group. "Don't worry Vee. I'll find them, I promise!" Funneh said as she kept running determined and not stopping, even though a few times she almost slipped but kept her balance and while she kept running Funneh noticed something in the distance as it looked like shelter. 'Is that... Is that shelter nearby? Maybe we can stop there for a moment' Funneh thought to herself as she immediately starts running towards the direction of the shelter and after a couple of seconds she finally stopped at the shelter as it was an old, abandoned broken house and it looked like it has been abandoned for years.



Funneh stares at it for a moment and for some reason... she had deja vu about the broken house as she thought to herself 'This is weird... For some reason this place seems.. familiar to me' and immediately started walking towards the front door, gently placed Vee down and opened the door and they saw what looked like a living room as there is a fireplace to the right and an abandoned armchair in the left corner and the living room is filled with abandoned items, and the floor is littered with old newspapers and behind the living room, a staircase leading upstairs can be seen.



The two then decided to look around and while Vee looked around, she suddenly stepped on something and looks down and spots a picture frame. Picking it up and taking a closer look, Vee sees a picture of an adult couple happily dancing together.



"Funneh.." Vee called out and when Funneh came over, she was surprised to see the couple in the photo. "It's them..." Funneh muttered in surprise as she took the picture frame from Vee and looks at it. "You know them, Funneh?" Vee asked curiously and Funneh looks at her before saying "These two have been appearing in my mind lately and I don't know why" and that's when she noticed something as Funneh squinted her eyes a bit while realizing something. "Wait a minute... Is it just me or does she almost look actually like Avyanna?" Funneh said and Vee looks at her confused and Funneh notices Vee's confusion and says explaining "Avyanna was a celestial warrior from the Celestial Realm, but apparently she had ran away from an arranged marriage and was never seen again" and Vee let out an 'oh' and then Funneh noticed two more picture frames as she gave the picture frame to Vee as she walked over and picked up the other two and takes a look as the photo showed a picture of the couple on their wedding day and what shocked Funneh was that the woman was wearing a traditional celestial wedding dress as she resembled a certain goddess.



"Wait... What... is that-!" and Funneh immediately looked at the other picture frame and what she saw shocked her even more was that the couple was now holding five certain babies as they were all happily smiling in the photo together "That's us... wait... Does that mean the man... is my father and that woman is... Avyanna... and my... mother".

Funneh slowly looks up from the picture frame and then smalls tears start to fall down from her face.



Meanwhile Somewhere in the Same Forest

T.E.A. had stopped for a moment and inside the van, Rainbow is cooking soup for the group as they were doing their own business. Things had been hard for them since Funneh had left and she's been gone almost an entire week now and the people who took it the hardest were Mk, Tang, Gold, Ally, Aphmau and Ao Bing. Mk knew Funneh didn't mean to bloodbend him and he was worried about her since she was a big sister to him along with Ally, Ao Bing felt like he couldn't help as he was very worried about her and feared something happened to her along with Gold, Aphmau was panicking in the inside as she was afraid that the fortune might've come true and the worst thing is she and Funneh still hadn't mentioned their future told to the others yet (A/n: Aphmau and Funneh have yet to tell the others about their future being told about what would happen to them) and while Tang was a mess as he felt like he was the reason Funneh had ran off and couldn't stop himself from worrying as he hoped that his niece was somewhere okay and safe and not harmed.

Everyone suddenly hears a knock on the backdoor of the T.E.A. van, making everyone stop what they were doing and looked at each other confused on who was knocking. "I got it" Tang said as he got up and passed the map of samadhi to Macaque, who grabs it. Tang opens the backdoor and gasps in shock to find Funneh and a teenage girl looking tired and soaked out in the rain as Funneh looks up at him. "Hey, Uncle Tang. I'm back" Funneh says, sounding tired and she starts to tear up.

Tang looks at his niece before pulling her into a warm embrace with both of them crying and then everyone noticed that Tang was outside and when they went to see the commotion, they were all shocked to see that Funneh was hugging Tang.

"Funneh..."

Funneh looks up and sees everyone staring at her and not knowing what to do Funneh breaks the hug, looks at everyone and with a sigh, Funneh spoke "Guys, I know you must have mixed feelings about seeing me.
