Narrator's POV

Mk was now in a white void along with the Lady Bone Demon, who has long straight black hair and wore white hanfu with a pale blue collar, it was tattered at the bottom and then she spoke without looking at Mk as he turned around to look at her "Save your hero speech, child. I've existed long enough to know when it's over" and this made Mk ask "You still think the universe really wants anything from any of us?".

"Don't you?"

"I try not to think too hard" Mk said while scratching the back of his head. "So it would seem" and then Lady Bone Demon appeared next to Mk, peering over his shoulder as she has stress lines on her cheeks and bags around her eyes while saying "Know this, monkey. You and I are not so different. We both fight for what we think is right. That pursuit only leads to one thing" and then Mk asked "Mhm. To destiny, right?" and this made the Lady Bone Demon merely give Mk a small smile as if she was amused before saying "No... To pain... And I apologize for what's going to happen to your friends" and with that, she fades away, leaving Mk alone to ponder on what she meant.

Back in the Real World

Everyone began regaining back consciousness after recovering from the shockwave of their blow. "Ngh, my head!" Tang groaned while rubbing his head as he looked around before asking "Did... Did we win?".

"Yeah, I think we did" Pigsy confirmed before laughing of joy as he and Tang both hugged each other "We Did It!" and upon hearing this, everyone began cheering for their victory. They did it, they finally defeated the Bone Demon, they won the battle and saved the world. Gold, Draco and Rainbow hugged each other as they began cheering in happiness. Nezha was rubbing his head with a groan as he managed to sit up before noticing a hand holding out to him and saw it was Ao Bing, who was staring at him for a moment before giving a small smile and this surprised the Lotus Prince before giving a small smile back in return and grabbed the Dragon Prince's hand as Ao Bing pulled him up. Mk shot up with a cheer as he exclaimed with a joyous laugh "We Did It!" and then Sandy yanks Tang, Pigsy, Mei, Mk and Red son into a tight hug while Monkey King wrapped his arm around Macaque's shoulder. "Don't get too cocky" the shadow monkey scoffed at Monkey King, who was grinning at him playfully and this made Lunar giggle as she was standing next to them.

"Mom!" Bai He's voice called out, causing Lunar to turn around and saw the little girl running up towards her with Stringbean in her arms. "Bai He!" Lunar smiled as the two quickly embraced each other with tears of happiness coming down. "I'm never letting you go again Bai He..." Lunar whimpered and this made the little girl's grip on the young woman tighten as she felt safe once again in Lunar's arms. Vee and Vulko smiled at this before looking at each other and hugged as well. Ally was cheering before noticing Adira was standing a few feet away from her, the two stared at each other for a moment before Adira started to say "Ally, I-!" but then she was cut off by the young girl rushing over and hugged her tightly, causing the female warrior to freeze in place. "It's just like I said before... I forgive you, Mum" Ally spoke softly and this broke Adira as she quickly hugged her long lost daughter back with small tears threatening to fall and only managed to say "I'm so sorry...".

Everyone was having their happy/sentimental moment with each other by their victory. Nothing could possibly go wrong or interrupt this moment until-

"Guys..."

Everyone paused as they looked over and saw Hilda carrying both the Elemental Staff of Might and Lady Irene's staff as the scorpion demon had a worried expression "Where's Funneh and Aphmau...?" and this caught everyone's attention as they realized two certain girls weren't with them. "Funneh? Funneh! GIRLS!!" Mk called out as everyone began looking around frantically and in a panic. Suddenly Ender's barking can be heard as everyone saw him barking at something in the distance and they quickly rushed over to him before gasping at what they saw. Lying beside all the rubble of the destroyed mech was Aphmau and Funneh...but they were both greatly injured and on the verge of death as Funneh, whose eyes were closed was lying on her side in a small pool of her blood.



Aphmau was lying on her back as she had tears forming in her eyes while she was clutching her bloody chest and was also in a small pool of blood and next to her was a sharp ice spear, which it was covered in her blood.



Spider Queen covered her mouth with a gasp as she had a horrified expression "Oh my gosh!" and everyone all froze at the sight of their two friends before Gold cried "No! No, No, No, NO!!" and she immediately ran forward along with everyone else. Gold slid on the ground and quickly but carefully took her sister into her arms, "Funneh!!" and then Mk also rushed over as he cradled Aphmau in his arms when he noticed the wound in her chest as it appeared the ice spear had hit her heart, causing Mk's eyes to be widened with tears already forming in his eyes. "M...Mk..." Aphmau managed to say softly, despite being in pain and Mk tears up as he says with desperation "It'll be okay! We'll get you two help!".

"Funneh? Funneh... Can you hear me...?!" Gold called out desperately as the rest of the Krew surrounded their two sisters before Funneh began coughing and slowly opened her eyes. "G-Gold?" Funneh managed to say and Gold had tears forming as she asked in disbelief "Why would you do that?!" and this made Funneh give her older sister a painful smile as she says "I couldn't let Aphmau get hurt... I think that fortune telling is coming true..." and upon hearing that, Aphmau slowly looks over at her childhood friend and says "I told you... We should've told them a long time ago..." and Lunar asked with tears falling down "Tell us what?" and then Macaque froze before asking in disbelief as his ears tilted down in shock "You didn't tell them yet?!" and then Funneh sighs before speaking with small tears forming "I'm sorry I didn't say anything sooner... I just didn't want to worry you all... Before LBD attacked, me and Aph went to a fortune teller about the dreams we've been having about LBD... And he predicted that we would defeat her, but at a price... Me and Aph would both die in the process...".

"...Is that what you were trying to tell us earlier?" Nezha spoke as he came over with a hurtful expression while trying his best to keep his emotions together and Funneh slowly nodded while answering "Y-Yeah..." and then Pigsy came as he said with tears forming at the corner of his eyes "Don't speak, Funneh! Save your strength! We need to stop the bleeding! Sandy, get me some towels or something!" and without a moment to lose, Sandy quickly rushed to the van before Pigsy looked back at his niece and said "You and Aphmau are gonna be okay kid, I promise!" and Funneh only smiled sadly at her uncle and replied weakly "I don't think so Uncle Pigsy..." and then Ally rushed over as she pulled out her cordial while crying out "Don't say that Funneh! We've been through so much and I finally got to see you again after all this time! I'm not losing you again!".

Just before she could open her cordial, Adira with a regretful look stops her and says "This won't help her or Aphmau" and then Ally exclaimed as tears came down "I have to try! You said this could heal any wound!" and then suddenly the young girl felt a hand on her cheek, causing her to look back and see Funneh smiling softly at her with tears falling down as she says while wiping the tears away from Ally's face "Don't cry Ally... It's okay..." and this made Ally hold Funneh's hand close to her as she cries a little while Aphmau winced a little, catching Mk's attention as the raven-haired girl spoke in a weak tone "Mk.. I-It hurts..." and Mk looks back at her and says in a shaky tone "Yeah..." and then Sandy comes back with towels as he gave one to Mk, who immediately placed it on Aphmau's chest; hoping to stop the bleeding while Gold carefully gave Funneh to Sandy as he cradled her in his arms while carefully pressing the towel on her wound. "Don't worry, sweetie. We'll take you and Aphmau to the hospital and they'll fix you both up!" Sandy says as he tried his best to hold his tears back.

"Uncle Sandy... They won't be able to save us... And you all know that..." Funneh spoke and then Aphmau said weakly "Mk.. I..." and then Mk began to cry a little as he pleaded "Please.. Don't leave me..!" and Funneh began speaking softly to everyone "Uncle Sandy... Uncle Pigsy... Uncle Tang... Thank you for everything you've done for me... Thank you for giving me love and raising me as your own... Gold, Rainbow, Draco, Lunar... I'm the luckiest person to have you guys as my siblings... And I want to thank you for being in my life... Mk... Mei... Thank you for being my best friends..." and then she looks over at Monkey King, Macaque, Red son, Vulko, Vee and Ally as she says "Thank you guys for being a part of my life... I want you to take care of my siblings for me" and then she turned her attention to Ao Bing and Nezha, who were on the verge of crying before she spoke with a small smile and tears falling down "Nezha... Ao Bing... I want you two to know that... Meeting you two had meant the world to me... I have no regrets... You two gave me back something people search for their whole lives...".

"Funneh... You can't give up! I can't exist in the world without you...! Ao Bing and I both made a truce and decided to put our past behind us just for you... We love you, Funneh..." Nezha spoke in a shaky tone and this stunned Funneh...they made a truce...just for her?! "I-I'm sorry... I-I didn't mean to... I.. don't want to die.. Mk.. Please.." Aphmau spoke before her eyes suddenly turned into a dull gray as her body went limp in Mk's arms as his pupils were the size of nails as tears streamed down his cheeks and Funneh noticed this as she tried to reach out to her childhood friend "A-Aph..." but then much to everyone's horror and shock,... Funneh's hand went limp along with her body too.

"N-No... No...."

Everyone began crying for the loss of not one but two of their friends, who sacrificed their lives to save the world. Gold's eyes were filled with tears as she saw a blank stare that was painfully cold on Funneh's face that should've been full of life. Mei's hands fly to her mouth as she leans towards Draco for support, causing him to immediately hug his girlfriend when the two begin crying. Tears were falling down from Lunar's face as she was in complete disbelief and shock...she just got her daughter back, but only to lose her big sister in the process. Lunar dropped on her knees before she began sobbing as she covered her face with her hands with Bai He coming over to her and hugs Lunar as tears came down while Macaque clenched his fist before he went over to Lunar and Bai He as he pulled both of them into a hug them with a single tear coming down from his face while fighting the urge to cry. Rainbow was crying along with Ally as the two girls were holding each other close with Red son exhales shakingly as tears were silently streaming down from his face before he went over to them and hugged the two girls as well.

The Spider Goons and Hilda were shocked before they lowered their heads down in sadness with Spider Queen looking away with tears falling down. Vulko turns away with a single tear coming down as he holds a crying Vee close to him and Adira lowers her head. Pigsy hugs Tang tightly as tears stung their faces, their little niece, their wild yet caring niece was gone. Ender whined as he went over to Sandy and tried to call out to Funneh, but with no success while Mk was sobbing his heart out as he buried his face on Aphmau's side of her neck and shoulder before Kirby suddenly pops out from Mk's hair and sees Aphmau as he begins calling out to her.

"Pooteetah.... P-Pooteetah...."

Realization hit him as tears filled in Kirby's eyes before he hopped out of Mk's hair and snuggled against Aphmau's cold cheek with tears falling down from his face. Nezha and Ao Bing's hearts sank to the bottom of their stomach before they slowly went up to Sandy, who was cradling Funneh in his arms as he snuggled his cheek against her cold one with tears falling down before he noticed the two celestial princes approaching him and Sandy gave his niece to them knowing that they loved her. Tears finally began falling down from their faces as Ao Bing and Nezha started crying as the Lotus Prince placed his hand on Funneh's cheek while the Dragon Prince held her in his arms. Gold didn't move as her eyes were shadowed, but tears were falling down from her face as Monkey King noticed this and slowly approached her before speaking with hesitation "Gold?" and when the young woman looked at him, Monkey King's heart broke at the sight of Gold crying before she fell onto her knees and began crying, causing the sage to immediately rush over and pulled Gold into a hug as a tear came down too.

"No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No.... NOOOOO!!!!!!!!" Gold wailed as she was crying and sobbing harder than everybody, "Don't Take Her Away!! Please Be A Dream!!! Please Let This Only Be A Dream!!! Don't Take My Sister Away From Me Too!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!" and everyone continued crying as Mk didn't want to believe that he lost one of his sister figures and his crush while holding Aphmau close to him. "Aph... Please! Please don't leave me!! The only thing I want to hear is if you feel the same way!! Please!! Please come back to me, APHMAU PLEASE I LOVE YOU!!!!" Mk sobbed out as he continued crying hard while Kirby, who was still crying hopped on Mk's shoulder and snuggled against him, "P-Pooteetah..." and then Ender walked over to a crying Nezha and Ao Bing as he whines at the sight of Funneh before he lays down next to her while resting his head on her lap before closing his eyes while everyone continued mourning over their friends' deaths.

Meanwhile In-Between

A small blue light orb floats into an in-between realm and settles into the water. From it, Funneh's body reappears as she sinks into the water with her eyes closed and then the blue-haired young woman begins opening her eyes slowly as she notices a light above her while she was sinking down underwater.



Realization hit her as Funneh thought to herself with tears forming 'Oh yeah... I protected Aphmau and took the hit... At least I helped stop LBD and saved the world... I guess this is it... I'm sorry everyone... At least they'll be safe... My only regret is not telling Nezha and Ao Bing that I loved them too...' and the young blue-haired young woman felt her body going deeper and deeper as she closed her eyes, ready and was about to accept her fate...

When suddenly a hand grabs her arm and pulls her out before she goes any further. The figure steps back as Funneh was now standing above water while she slowly began opening her eyes before seeing a familiar water goddess standing in front of her.



"Katara?"

This made the water goddess chuckle a little as she said with a nod "Yeah, that's me. Nice to meet you, my descendant" and then Funneh began asking "Wait... If you're here then that means-" and this made Katara smile sadly as she answered while summoning a small water sphere and held it out to Funneh, who slowly took it.



"Yes... You died along with your friend Aphmau too"

Funneh stares at the sphere before gasping in shock as an image of a sobbing Mk holding onto Aphmau's dead body while Ao Bing and Nezha were holding her dead body as they were surrounded by the others, who were all mourning over their deaths. "I... So I really am-" Funneh says as she bends down as she begins to sink in the water, causing Katara to quickly go over and picks her descendant up while saying as she places her back down "Ah, no, nope, no. You don't wanna do that. If you go under without a portal, you really will be dead".

"I can't believe this... You're actually my ancestor!" Funneh says in slight awe and this made Katara chuckle before saying "I know. It's not everyday you get the chance to meet your ancestor face to face. But there's always a first" and then Funneh looks around and noticed that she was in an area with mystic landscapes, filled with ancient trees, rolling hills, and shimmering waters, illuminated by mystical lights. Elaborate carvings and symbols etched onto rock surfaces as the green/blue and gold sky with two crescent moons and twinkling stars.



"What is this place?" Funneh asked curiously. "This is the space in between life and death itself. And I've been here for quite some time, but at least I can keep an eye on my two best friends. And those who have been kind and there for them" Katara says as she holds another water sphere as it shows Nezha and Ao Bing doing their duties before a moment shows the two celestial princes hanging out with Asami and Keno. "I'm not so kind and haven't been there for them or my friends or my family either. When I found out my parents sacrificed themselves and everything for us, I hoped with all my heart I would do something that can earn their forgiveness, but-" Funneh stopped with a shaky voice before sighing in despair, causing Katara to look at her in concern before saying "Hey, I can relate. I know what it was like to believe your parents abandoned you when you needed them, but only to find out it was too late. Holding all that grudge against them for nothing" and then Funneh looks at her ancestor as she asked "Does that make us as bad as the Lady Bone Demon?".

"What? Have you been drinking too much of your sister's potions?" Katara chuckled while raising an eyebrow in amusement. "Well, the Lady Bone Demon says she's trying to make the perfect world where no suffering exists. And we are saying we want to save our families and world. So isn't that the same thing? Don't- Don't these feelings come from the same place?" Funneh asked as she was frustrated and confused and it was quiet for a moment before Katara spoke "You assume Baigujing's goal comes from a genuine place. But that woman doesn't care about anything but her needs to be the hero in her own delusion. And because of that, she feared what she couldn't control" and Funneh stared at Katara for a moment before looking away as she said "You're right".

Meanwhile Somewhere Else

Aphmau was standing in a white void as she stared at nothing, but the white abyss in front of her with her eyes shadowed. Tears suddenly began forming into her eyes before dropping down onto her knees as Aphmau began sobbing thinking about her friends, Kirby, her Mom and finally Mk as she recalled his confession to her when she was kidnapped.

"Aphmau... Aph, I love you"

A choke sob came out from the young raven-haired girl.

"That's right! I love you, Aphmau. And the last few months that I've spent with you have meant more to me than anything in the entire world!"

Aphmau couldn't stop crying as she managed to sob out "I-I didn't get to tell him how I felt..." and she continued on crying when a soft voice spoke out.

"Keep your chin up child, someday there will be happiness again"

This made Aphmau pause her crying as she looked up before looking over her shoulder and was shocked to see who it was standing behind her.



It was revealed to be Lady Irene, who was staring at her descendant with soft, yet firm eyes. "L-Lady Irene?!" Aphmau stammered out in shock as she quickly stood up and stared at her ancestor in shock and awe. "Mm. Indeed it is, I, young one" the goddess of peace spoke with a nod. "W-What are you doing here?" Aphmau suddenly asked as Lady Irene walks up to the young raven-haired girl before saying "I'm here to take you to your friend and some people would like to see you" and this confused Aphmau before she noticed her ancestor holding out a hand to her and the raven-haired girl stares at it for a moment before gently taking her hand as Lady Irene began leading Aphmau somewhere before a black door suddenly appeared in front of them.

"Are you ready, young one?" Lady Irene asked and it was quiet for a moment before Aphmau took a deep breath before letting it out and faces her ancestor as she answered "Ready as I'll ever be".

Soon the door opens and the two walk through as Aphmau shields her eyes from the brightness before opening them again and was in shock, awe and amazement by what was in front of her. It was a beautiful scenery with the sky blue, orange and purple as the stars were shining and a pink moon was seen with trees and mountains nearby.



"Woah... This is beautiful!" Aphmau stayed in awe before she noticed two figures walking towards them as it was revealed to be a young woman with water-like hair flowing and standing next to her was...

"Funneh?!"

"Aphmau?!"

The two childhood friends stared at each other in shock before Aphmau snapped out of it and rushed towards Funneh, who was already running towards her before the two girls embraced each other happily. "Aphmau! You're here! I can't believe it!!" Funneh exclaimed as she hugged her friend tightly while Aphmau hugs back even tighter with a small smile as she says "Me too..." and then they pulled away as the two girls looked at the goddesses and Funneh asked "So now what?" and this made the two goddesses look at each other before Lady Irene spoke in a soft tone "Now it is time for you to see them" and this confused the two girls by the goddess of peace's words.

'See them? See who?'

Without saying another word, Lady Irene and Katara both looked ahead along with Aphmau and Funneh as they saw a silhouette figure walking towards them. Squinting her eyes a bit to see who it was, Aphmau's eyes suddenly widened in shock and recognition as tears slowly formed into her eyes. Walking towards the group was a man as he has black hair, dark brown eyes and tanned skin. When his eyes made contact with Aphmau's, everything felt frozen as the two stared at each other in silence.

"D-Daddy..."

"Aphmau..."

It was revealed to be Zack, Sylvanna's late husband and Aphmau's father. The two continued staring at each other for what seemed like eternity before Zack spoke softly with eyes widened "I-Is it really you, pumpkin?" and then he slowly held his arms out and that's what finally Aphmau, who broke into tears as she ran forward while exclaiming happily "DADDY!!!" and Aphmau crashed into her father's embrace as Zach picks her up and spins her around a bit before placing her back down and embraces his daughter as the two had happy tears falling down. "I missed you..." Aphmau choked out as Zack held his daughter close to him.



"It's okay. It's okay, now. Daddy has you" Zack says as he holds Aphmau, who smiles and giggles a bit before they pull away as Zack stares at his now grown up daughter. "Look at you. It's my little girl, all grown up. You're so beautiful. Just like your mother" Zack spoke softly and Aphmau smiled before his face dropped and starts to say with a regretful tone "I'm so sorry I left you and your mother. I can't imagine you alone, all this time" and Aphmau shakes her head and says "Oh, no, it's okay, Dad. I...I wasn't alone. Funneh had been there for me after you were gone" and then points out to Funneh, who clears her throat nervously and walks over to them. "Sure is nice to meet you, sir" Funneh says as she extends her hand out and Zack ignores the hand as he instead pulls the young blue-haired girl into a hug, surprising Funneh as he says "You took care of my little Aphmau for me. I thank you for that" and Funneh replied back while she looked a little awkward "My pleasure".

This made both Katara and Aphmau giggle a bit while Lady Irene watches with a soft smile before the young raven-haired girl notices something heading towards them as she says "Someone's coming!" and this caught everyone's attention as Zack released Funneh from the hug and looked forward to sees two people coming towards them before stopping with a soft gasp. Realization hit Funneh as her eyes widened in shock and disbelief while muttering to herself "That's... Could it be?!".

Standing before the group was a familiar couple from Funneh's vision and memories as they were staring at the young blue-haired girl, stunned and silent. It is revealed to be Avyanna and Desmond...the Krew's parents. The couple stared at Funneh in shock with Avyanna covering her mouth as tears slowly formed at the corner of her eyes while Desmond had his eyes widened as he stared in silence. Funneh didn't know what to do as she felt everything around her froze while she was staring at her parents...in person...face to face... For the first time, Funneh didn't know what to do or even say after all those years of believing her parents didn't love her and her siblings, but only to find out the truth much later.

"H-Hi... I'm..."

"FUNNEH!!" Avyanna and Desmond both cried out as they rushed forward and hugged their daughter, who could stand in absolute shock as she was completely stunned by what was happening right now.

"You're here"

"Oh my baby!"

"You're really here"

"Let me look at you"

"I'm never letting you go again"

"My baby!"

The two stepped back to give their daughter some space before they were surprised when Funneh steps back with her eyes shadowed as she only manages to say one thing "Why...?".

This confused everyone as Desmond asked with concern in his eyes "Is something wrong, Funneh?" and this caused the young blue-haired girl to look up as tears were falling down rapidly from her face. "Why Are You Being Nice To Me?! Don't you know what I have spent the last 18 years of my life thinking about you?! I've spent my whole life resenting you because I thought we weren't good enough for you! I Thought I Wasn't Good Enough!! After finding out you sacrificed everything and yourselves for us, I hated myself because I didn't know you loved us so much that you'd force yourself to leave us and Go Your Way To Keep Us Safe!!" Funneh explained as she fell onto her knees.



"A-All of my life... I-I just wanted to see you... Just once... I guess... I-I... I just don't know anymore... I-I'm a horrible daughter... I'm a horrible sister... I-I don't deserve this... I don't deserve meeting you... I-I don't deserve being your daughter..." Funneh cried out as she continued looking down with tears falling down rapidly. Everything was silent as only the young blue-haired girl's sobs were heard before Funneh gasped quietly when she felt a hand on her back, causing her to look up and turn to her left and saw Desmond was looking at her with a soft smile while Avyanna was on her right also staring at her daughter with softness in her eyes. "Funneh... Don't ever say because it's not true. You and your siblings were the best thing to ever happen in our lives and we're sorry if we made you feel like we didn't love you. I believe it's when you say this-" Avyanna spoke softly as Desmond says "We loved you from the moment you were born, all five of you. Avyanna and I talked about you and your siblings everyday... about how we would see you all again someday. There was never a moment when you five weren't in our thoughts".

Funneh stares at her parents for a moment before looking down as she thought to herself 'Huh? What's going on? I've never felt like this before. I feel so...warm' and then tears began forming again in Funneh's eyes before she began crying once again as Avyanna and Desmond both embraced their daughter in a tearful hug with the young blue-haired girl letting out all of her hidden emotions and pain that she'd been hiding for a long time. Aphmau, Zack, Lady Irene and Katara were all watching this beautiful moment with softness or tears in their eyes as the water goddess had tears falling before she grabbed the goddess of peace's hand, catching Lady Irene's attention as she looks at her and Katara only gave her mother figure a smile before looking back at the tearful reunion of a daughter and her parents. "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!!" Funneh cried out as she held her parents close to her afraid to let them go with the couple holding their daughter with tears also falling down.



Lady Irene starts walking towards them before she gets on her knees and gently clears her throat, catching the trio's attention. "I am happy to see that you have worked things out with your parents, but there's something that you and Aphmau should know and it's very important" Lady Irene spoke as this caught two girls' attention.

"You both can go back to your families and friends"

This shocked the two girls as they stared at their ancestors with eyes widened, "H-Ho-".

"Because unlike us, you can go back to the land of the living. It's obvious you're not ready to leave them and they are not ready for you two to leave them. Especially your lovers" Katara says as this made the two girls blush at the mention of Mk, Nezha and Ao Bing being their lovers before Funneh realized something as she asked while standing up "But wait! If we go back, isn't there usually a price?" and this made the two goddesses nod with the water goddess saying "Indeed there is" and having the courage, Aphmau asked "So... What is it?" and this caused Lady Irene and Katara to glance at each other for a moment before the goddess of peace says "Let's just say... We won't be seeing each other anymore after this" and this made Aphmau and Funneh think for a moment before their eyes widened in realization.

"W-Wait! What did that mean you two would-!"

Lady Irene nodded as she answered "Yes, Katara and I will disappear from this world..." and then without hesitation, Funneh shook her head as she exclaimed "What?! It can't be like this! You can't just... I won't let you!! If me and Aph have to stay here to prevent this, then we will!!" and Aphmau nods in agreement, but Katara stands next to Lady Irene as they stand in front of their descendants. "Girls. You're still young and have so much to live for, not to mention a bright future ahead of you two. Don't end and leave your life so soon. Live life to the fullest and focus on the positive" Lady Irene spoke softly before Katara went next, "Keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life's a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about" and this made the two girls silent before Funneh hugs Katara while Aphmau hugs Lady Irene as the two girls cry with their ancestors returning their hugs with the water goddess rubbing Funneh's back soothingly and the goddess of peace gently rubs Aphmau's head.

The four pulled away as Lady Irene and Katara both extended their hands as they were glowing. "Are you sure you wanna give your last bit of life to us?" Funneh asked with hesitation and Katara looks at her descendant and says "Well, you two are here and this is the only way to send you back. But we can't give you anything unless you choose to accept it. So the question is, will you two choose yourselves?" and it was quiet for a moment before Aphmau and Funneh looked at each other, nodded before taking their ancestors' hands and a white orb surrounds Aphmau while a blue orb surrounds Funneh as they started floating up with their parents watching. "Now, once you get back to the Mortal Realm, the wounds will heal only in a few moments. So you must be careful" Katara spoke.

"But-"

"You must go easy on yourselves in order for your wounds to fully heal" Lady Irene speaks next.

"But what about-"

"Master Vulko? Send him my regards, big fan" Katara spoke as she did a playful salute and then Lady Irene said "And tell Hyria and Adira that I wish them both well". Having enough, the two girls reached out and held onto their ancestors' hand to keep from being sent further upward as Aphmau asked "No, Monkey King and Macaque! What about them?! Don't you wanna say something or see them again?!!" and then Funneh adds "And don't you want to see Ao Bing and Nezha again, Katara?" and after the mention of those four certain people, the two goddesses' faces turned soft at the mention of the two monkeys demons and celestial princes. "I will admit, I'll miss my boys dearly... My only regret was not telling them goodbye" Lady Irene spoke and then Katara says "I will miss my two favorite princes, but I don't know if I can face Nezha after our last conversation..." and the two girls looked at each other before looking back at their ancestors as Funneh says "If you like... You two can use our bodies to see them one last time" and this surprised the two goddesses before Lady Irene says with gratitude in her voice "We'd like that very much..." and with that, the four girls began glowing brightly and brighter until everything turned white.

Meanwhile back in the Mortal Realm

Everyone continued mourning over Aphmau and Funneh's dead bodies as Mk held his crush's body close to him while Nezha and Ao Bing continued holding Funneh's body. Suddenly a symbol of Lady Irene glowed on Aphmau's wound while a fluid-water like design symbol also glowed on Funneh's wound as Ender noticed this and began barking, catching everyone's attention. Soon a beautiful white and blue light erupted from the wounds as it began stretching around the shocked group and then fog began to enshroud the two girls as Mk and the two celestial princes stared in shock.

Suddenly a tiny mote of a lavender color emerges from Aphmau's chest and a blue-green color emerges out from Funneh's chest as they both began to circulate rapidly around the two girls, lifting them up as a small sphere of white light slowly envelops the two young women, causing the three boys to back away a bit. Everyone stares at this in astonishment and awe as the girls' respective colors whirls at blinding speed and the white blazes forth to hide their form view, culminating in a supernova blast that whites out everything, causing the group to shield their eyes from the brightness before two figures were placed down back on the ground, but standing up.

"Funneh... Aph... Is that you?" Mk asked with hesitation, but when everyone took a closer they realized it wasn't Aphmau and Funneh...but Katara and Lady Irene standing there. Monkey King, Macaque, Nezha and Ao Bing couldn't believe their eyes as they stared with eyes widened and tears filled in the sage's eyes while the shadow monkey's eyes softened with a small smile. It was silent for a moment before the goddess of peace spoke.

"Hello... My sons"

"..."

Tears finally fall down from Monkey King's face as he shakingly stands up before rushing forward while exclaiming "M-MOTHER!!" and just before Lady Irene could say anything, Monkey King wrapped his arms around her tightly as the goddess of peace was stunned for a moment before looking down at her son, who was sobbing his heart out.



"Y-You're here... A-After all this time... I'm sorry! I'm so sorry for everything!!" Monkey King says as he continued hugging his mother with tears continuing to fall down from his face while burying his face in his mother's chest. Lady Irene stares down at the sage for a moment before her face softens as tears form at the corner of her eyes while saying "I... I almost forgot what it was like for someone to hug me like this..." and then she noticed Macaque standing there with a stunned expression before the goddess of peace held out her arm for him as she said softly "Why are you just standing there? You can come and hug your mother again, Liu'er mihou" and after hearing those words and her voice again, Macaque broke into tears as he rushed to them and hugged his mother while sobbing his heart out too. The goddess of peace held her two sons close to her as everyone watches this beautiful family reunion happening before them with soft looks and smiles.

Monkey King suddenly pulls back as he starts to say "I-I don't understand. How are you-" but was gently cut off by Lady Irene speaking softly "I know. Aphmau is letting me use her body in order to see you again just like I did with Macaque" and this made the sage go silent for a moment before asking "You were with him?" and the goddess of peace nods as she says "I was. You're both my children and I love you so much. I regretted leaving you two behind without saying goodbye. It pained me to see my sons drift apart... Separated... And killing each other when I wasn't there to stop it..." and at the last part, this made the two monkey demons look away in shame, knowing what she was talking about.

"But, it doesn't matter anymore... The past can hurt. But the way I see it, you either run from it or learn from it" Lady Irene spoke as the two monkey demons, who stared at their mother for a moment before they went back to hugging her with Monkey King muttering "I missed this... You being here with us and giving us constant inspiring quotes" and this made Macaque chuckle a little while Lady Irene only smiled softly. Katara watches this moment with a soft smile before someone calls out to her...a voice she hadn't heard in a long time.

"Katara..."

The water goddess slowly turns around and sees both Nezha and Ao Bing staring at her in shock as it was silent for a moment before Katara smiled softly and said "Hi guys... Long time no see" and just before she could do anything, someone beats her to it as Nezha dropped his spear in shock and immediately rushed towards her and hugged the water goddess tightly, surprising and shocking Katara in the process. "N-Nezha..." Katara called out worryingly as she felt the Lotus Prince's body shaking as if he was ready to breakdown crying. "You're here... You're actually here in my arms...again!" Nezha finally spoke in a shaky tone and Katara stared at him for a moment before she gave a small smile and hugged him back. Nezha pulled back a little as he still had Katara in his arms and spoke with a regretful tone "Katara... I'm sorry. I-I'm so sorry for what happened between us last time..." and Katara stares at him as she starts to say "Nezha-".

"That day... What I did, it was all my fault. None of this would have happened if I hadn't lost my temper. You didn't deserve that and I know I can never take it back... I understand if you hate me and I-" Nezha was cut off by Katara gently placing her finger on his mouth, causing him to stop talking as she looks at him with a soft expression. "You have nothing to be sorry for" Katara says and Nezha starts to say "But I-" and Katara says "I know you mean well. You were just looking out for me and I can't blame you for that. After all, you were my first friend" and this made the Lotus Prince stare at her before a small smile appeared on his face as he says back "And you were my first friend too...".

Katara giggled before looking over Nezha's shoulder and saw Ao Bing nervously staring at her before she got out of the Lotus Prince's hold and walked over and stands in front of the Dragon Prince. "Hey Katara..." Ao Bing spoke while rubbing his arm and this made the water goddess giggle a bit before saying with a grin "Hello Ao Bing" and then she and Lady Irene both noticed the others staring at them in shock and amazement before the goddess of peace noticed a now grown Red son, who was standing next to Rainbow as she lets go of Macaque and Monkey King while getting up and walked over to the fire demon. Lady Irene stopped in front of him as she stares at him with softness in her eyes before saying "Hello Red son. My, my. You have grown into a handsome young man".

"H-How do you know me?" Red son asked and this made Katara, who came over giggled and says "We were there during the ritual to separate the Samadhi Fire within you, silly child~" and then the water goddess gently rubbed his head, causing Red son to back away as he stammered with a small blush of embarrassment and this made Rainbow giggle. "Wait, I don't want to be rude but... Why are you two here? Is there a reason you two are here?" Vee suddenly asked as this caught everyone's attention. "Indeed, young basilisk. Katara and I are here because we're going to give our souls to your friends" Lady Irene spoke and this shocked everyone. "You mean you can bring Aphmau and Funneh back?!" Ally asked with hope in her voice and this made the goddess of peace nod. "How are you going to do that though?" Mk asked and Katara looks at him and says "We will use the last remaining a bit of our magic to revive your friends".

"But, wouldn't it come with a price? What will happen to you two?" Adira asked as she walked over and stands next to Ally. Everyone looked at the two goddesses, who gave each other a look before Lady Irene says "We disappear... Forever..." and this shocked everyone before Monkey King grabbed his mother's hands as he exclaimed "No! It can't be this way!! You can find another way, there's always another way!!" but Lady Irene stayed silent before saying "Wukong... There is no other way and you know that..." and this brought tears into the sage's eyes as he cried out "B-But... I can do something! I can fix this!! I can-" and then the goddess of peace gently placed her hand on Monkey King's cheek, causing him to stop talking and looked at his mother, who had tears slowly falling down from her face.

"Listen to me, Wukong. A man must be big enough to admit his mistakes, smart enough to profit from them, and strong enough to correct them. You didn't know what was going to happen to me and it's not your fault. You and Macaque were the greatest things that ever happened to me and I never regretted taking you both in as my own... My only regret was not saying goodbye to you one last time... And I won't make that mistake again" Lady Irene spoke in a gentle, yet firm tone as Monkey King stares at her before he breaks down crying while hugging her once more and then Macaque came over and joined the hug as well.

Suddenly a gasp was heard, causing everyone to look and saw it was Gold, who points out "Y-You're glowing...!" and everyone looks back only to gasp as well when it was showed that Lady Irene and Katara's chest were glowing along with their body slowly fading away. "It seems our time is almost up" Katara says and this made the goddess of peace to nod in agreement. "Mom! Please don't do this! Don't go! I don't know what I'll do without you! You're my everything, Mom! You've changed my life!!" Macaque pleaded with desperation and then Monkey King says "He's right! How can we continue on knowing you won't be here anymore?!" but Lady Irene only gave the two monkey demons a soft look as she took their hands before saying "And you two have changed mine... If you focus on what you left behind, you will never be able to see what lies ahead... My only wish for you is that you two continue on. Continue to be who you are, to astonish a mean world with your acts of kindness. Look out for each other for me and remember... I'll always be with you two in here" and she gently points at their hearts. Without another word, Monkey King and Macaque both hugged their mother one last time as they cried.

"You'll really disappear forever...?" Nezha spoke with a sad tone as he and Ao Bing both looked heartbroken, causing Katara to look at them and smiled sadly with a nod as she says "Yes, but I know you two love my descendant as much as you did to me. I'm just happy to see you two again" and then Katara took Nezha's hands into hers as she says with a small smile and a hint of sadness in her eyes "Also... I know about the thing, Negzy. Lola told me and I had my answer" and this made Nezha's eyes widened a little as he asked "What would you have said?" and Katara stares at him with tears forming at the corner of her eyes as she says "I would've said yes..." and with that, Katara gently placed her lips against Nezha's, causing him to quickly kiss back as the two had tears falling down.



They pulled away and stared at each other for a moment before Katara and Nezha hugged each other tightly, knowing this would be their last hug. "Thank you for being a part of my life, Katara..." Nezha said softly, causing Katara to smile a little before saying "And thank you for being in mine" and the two broke the hug as the water goddess walked over to the Dragon Prince and immediately hugged him as Ao Bing didn't hesitate to hug back. "Promise me you and Nezha will look out for each other, okay?" Katara asked and Ao Bing stayed silent for a moment before nodding as he says "I promise..." and with that, the two broke the hug as Katara gently gave Ao Bing a kiss too before walking over to Lady Irene, who stood up after hugging the two simians and then the two goddesses held hands as they began to fade away.

"Goodbye everyone. It was nice to see you guys again" Katara spoke to four certain people before Lady Irene says "Including our companions' descendants" and with that, Katara and Lady Irene both disappeared as their silhouettes were transformed back into the two girls everyone thought they lost forever. Aphmau and Funneh were both looked around, looking confused before they noticed everyone staring at them with eyes widened.

"Guys..." Funneh spoke.

"..."

"FUNNEH!!!!" the Krew suddenly all screamed as they ran and tackled their stunned sister to ground while crying in relief and happiness. Gold was hugging her sister close with tears falling down as she cried. "Thank goddess! You're safe!" Lunar cried out and while both Rainbow and Draco were bawling their eyes out. Funneh was silent for a moment before she smiled softly and says "I'm sorry guys... For making you worry" and then Gold laughs happily with tears falling as she picks up Funneh while exclaiming "She's alive! She's alive! She's alive!!" and the Krew cheered "She'll alive!".

"She's ali-" Gold stopped before she glared at Funneh and slapped her head, shocking everyone.



"OW!!!"

"YOU IDIOT!! You Nearly Gave Me A Heart Attack!! ARE YOU HAPPY WITH YOURSELF?!!!" Gold yelled furiously while being held back by Rainbow and Lunar while a terrified Funneh went behind Draco for protection as she exclaimed in a scared tone "I'm Sorry, I'm Sorry, I'm Sorry, I'm Sorry, Gold!!".

Aphmau smiled before noticing a shocked Mk staring at her and then the young raven-haired girl smiled brightly as she exclaimed while rushing towards him "Mk!!" and this made Mk snapped out of his trance as he starts to say while walking forward a little "Aph...! Y-You're here! You're okay and you're a-!" but was cut off by Aphmau jumping on him as she wrapped her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist, catching him off-guard while she had happy tears coming down "I Love You Too!!" and without hesitation, Aphmau cupped Mk's cheeks and pulled him into a passionate kiss.



Mk's face immediately turned bright red with smoke coming out from his ears before he slowly melted into the kiss as he kissed her back while slowly wrapping his arms around Aphmau's waist. Cheers and whistles were heard from the others, cheering on for the new couple.

On the outskirts of Megapolis

Laughter ensued as everyone all settled down at the cliffside around a fire chatting and eating a bowl of noodles. "A hearty meal rich in macro-nutrients is just what the body needs to refuel after battle" Sandy says. "Couldn't have said it better myself" Nezha agreed as Mk, Aphmau and Funneh were sitting afar and watched their friends and family with smiles. "It's weird, huh? After a tough battle and coming back from the dead, we can enjoy this nice and quiet moment" Funneh comments as the new couple nodded in agreement.

"Yeah..." Mk looked away for a moment before he said "I'm sorry girls..." and this confused two girls as Aphmau asked "For what, Mk?" and the young man stayed silent for a moment before saying "You know... You two dying and I couldn't protect you both. And now you two have both have scars" and they were silent for a moment before Funneh says "It's okay Mk. Scars heal" and this confused Mk as he asked "But I thought wounds heal?" and this made both Aphmau and Funneh giggle before the raven-haired girl says "That may be true Mk but to me, I think scars are like battle wounds, beautiful, in a way. They show what you've been through and how strong you are for coming out of it".

Mk stayed silent for a moment before saying with a small smile "Yeah... I guess you're right. Thanks girls, I needed that" and then Mk and Aphmau stared at each other passionately before they leaned forward and gently kissed each other as Funneh was watching with amusement before she decided to tease them a bit. "Ahem, no PDA. There are kids here~" Aphmau and Mk both froze as they quickly pulled away with their faces red from embarrassment, making both Funneh and Monkey King, who came over with a bowl of noodles snicker as the sage sits next to his successor.

Monkey King then frowns as he looked ahead while saying what was on his mind "I know I can never make it up to you. Honestly, I-I never thought I'd live as long as I have, let alone be someone's mentor. Turns out, I'm not very good at it. I guess what I'm trying to say is... I'm sorry, Mk. For all of it".

"It's okay. I can always get another bowl of noodles" Mk says as he stares at the city, making Monkey King stare at him in disbelief while both Funneh and Aphmau held their laughter "What?! No! Not the noodles! I mean I'm sorry for being a bad mentor and making you clean up after my mess" and Mk looks at him and says "I know. Sometimes I just play dumb to lighten the mood" and this finally made the two girls laugh along with Monkey King before the sage says while wrapping his arm around Mk and pulled him close into a hug "Me too, bud. Me too".

The Next Day

Pigsy rings the bell on the counter while holding a bag of noodles while saying "Mk! Order up!". Tang was sitting on a stool with a plate of dumplings with Vee and Bai He both enjoying a nice bowl of noodles with Mo on her lap, Rainbow was stirring a batter while Lunar was sweeping the floor. "On it, boss!" Mk exclaimed as he takes the bags before stealing a dumpling out of Tang's hand and runs off. "What?! H-Hey!" Tang cried out as he was mad that his dumpling was snatched, making Rainbow and Lunar both laugh.

"The curious thing about legends is the way we continue to be moved by the same stories. We're comforted by familiar tales of friendship"

Mk starts the tuk-tuk and then Mei, Aphmau and Draco suddenly jump in with him before they drive off together as Mk reaches Sandy's boat and delivers his noodles.

"Courage"

Below the sewers, Spider Queen and the Spider Goons were expanding their lair. "My Queen, this came for you" Syntax's voice called out while handing her a bag. Spider Queen looked confused before opening it to find some noodles along with a drawing attached as it showed herself, the Spider Goons, Mk, Aphmau and the Krew. 'Hm, not bad for a little monkey brat' Spider Queen thought to herself as a smirk appeared on her face while taking a bite of the noodles.

"Redemption"

At the Demon Bull King's mansion, Red son places two bowls of noodles in front of his parents before sitting down and enjoying a wonderful meal with them as the Demon Bull family was joined by Ally and Adira.

"At times, the path of the hero might seem unclear and the story's chaotic and directionless"

In the Celestial Realm, Nezha invited Ao Bing, Keno and Asami over to his temple to enjoy a delicious meal of Pigsy's noodles, which Funneh delivered. Back in the Mortal Realm, the gold and silver demons, Jin and Yin were inside their hideout playing Ping Pong while Hilda was resting on the couch.

"Sometimes it may seem as though we've ended up back where we began but it's clear to see how much we've grown on the journey"

Mk parked the delivery truck, holding the order of noodles in his hands as he quickly dashed towards the direction of Flower Fruit Mountain, slamming through the wall as he was greeted by a smiling Monkey King and a stunned Gold next to him.

"For although the story is over, there's always room on the shelf for another"

The three sat down watching the sunset together as the sage and his successor ate a dumpling while Gold was sitting between Monkey King and Mk.

"The End. Pretty good. I think that's pretty good"

On a small stone behind the trio, a mysterious dark blue scroll that is made of bamboo slips as it has pale blue lining and tassels along with a golden handle slowly unraveled by itself with either golden symbols inside, reflecting off the distant sunset.
