Narrator's POV

After the group had gotten Pigsy back, they regrouped near a river to take a break before heading off to find the others. Right now, Pigsy was washing his blue coat by the river, Mei was balancing her dragon blade on her nose, Tang was re-reading the scroll, Mk and Bai He were both drawing, Hunter and Genya were both sitting down while Ally was meditating.

"Blue ain't really my color, but uh... beats looking like that monster, Zhu Ganglie" Pigsy said as he dries the blue coat before putting it on and flicked the hat off of his head. "Technically, you'd be Zhu Bajie, now that you're on the Journey to the West" Tang stated.

"Oh hoho, no, no, no. Don't go comparing me to that demon. My name's just plain old Pigsy" Pigsy said and then his blue coat opened itself showing off his stomach, making Pigsy quickly cover his stomach as his cheeks turned red. "I can't wait to meet my ancestor, Ao Lie. I bet he was mega cool! Right, Tangy?" Mei asked as she was still balancing her family's sword on her nose and then Tang laughed nervously and started to say "Well...".

"I wonder when we're gonna meet my ancestor" Mk spoke as he was still doodling on a piece of paper along with Bai He. "I thought Monkey King was your dad" Mei said, making Ally pause her meditating as she looks at her confused. "He's not my dad. Pigsy's my dad" Mk said as he points at Pigsy with his crayon. "Uh, kid, I'm not exactly your uh..." Pigsy tried to say something, but got nothing. "Mei, what could possibly make you think that Monkey King is Mk's dad?" Ally asked as she got up and walked over to them, but that's when Tang answered the question.

"Hmm, Mei does have a point" Ally was about to question him when Tang then brought down a screen with a projector as he started explaining "Mk, the rest of us mysteriously inherited the powers of the ancient warriors. However, Monkey King is the only original companion we know for sure is still alive. And yet, you have inherited all of his power, so it is possible that-" but Mk pushed the screen back up as he interrupted him "Yeah, right. If Monkey King really was my dad, don't you think he would have said something by now?".

"He does have a point" Bai He said while nodding in agreement. "Yeah, 'cause he's normally so forthcoming with information" Mei said sounding a bit sarcastic, making Mk and Ally both look away, knowing exactly when she meant while Mei's dragon blade fell to the ground.

"Well, whatever. When we find Monkey King's stone, then we'll just ask him" Mk said, making the group confused. "What?/Monkey King's huh?/His stone?" Tang, Mei and Ally all asked in unison.

"Monkey King's stone. The one he was born from. Ever since I got into the scroll, I've been having visions of Monkey King standing next to his stone" Mk explained while showing the drawing he did, which was Monkey King's stone.



"Wha... You didn't think to mention that sooner?!" Pigsy yelled. "I'm telling you now. If we find the stone, we'll find Monkey King and he can explain to all of you how he's definitely not my dad and everything is fine. So, less yappy, more-" Mk starts to say before his vision appears again as he hears Monkey King's voice calling out to him once again and after the vision passes, everything darkens.

"Monkey King?"

Ink suddenly starts falling from the sky, making Bai He scared as she hugs Ally while burying her face in the teenage girl's chest in fear, causing Ally to hold the little girl close to her in a protective embrace as the ink demons begin emerging. "Ah! The scroll's curse. It found us!" Tang said. "Tang, get us outta here!" Pigsy starts panicking as he summons his rake. "Right" Tang pulls out Azure Lion's instructions but it blows away, "Oh, no! My cheat sheet!".

"Forget about the cheat sheet! It's exam time, baby!" Mei shouted and Tang closed his eyes as he hit the ground using his khakkhara with the same ritual circle appearing on the ground as Tang was preparing to teleport the group. Suddenly the ink demons merged together and took the form of the same elephant demon from before and started to bring down the ink mallet towards Mk.

"MK, LOOK OUT!!" Ally screamed and Mei quickly streaked in to protect him with her dragon blade but as a result, the blow shatters her family's sword and the force causes Mk and Mei to crash into Tang, who accidentally teleports everyone into separate chapters.

Somewhere with Pigsy

Pigsy crashes to the ground hard from the teleportation. Once he sat up to stretch his back, it made a cracking sound.

"Oh. Yep. Oh, that's broke. Nice going, Tang" Pigsy said before he realized the others were gone and he was all alone.

Somewhere with Tang

"Alright, Pigsy, before you get mad..." Tang starts to say before a hand is placed on him from behind, making him freeze for a moment, "Hmm?".

Somewhere with Mei

Mei found the dragon blade's handle as she was on the ground, crying for her broken sword.

"Wha? No... My family sword... It can't be!"

Suddenly a spear was pointed at her, making Mei look up as she found herself surrounded by a group of soldiers who were pointing their weapons at her.

Somewhere with the Four Kids

Ally, Genya, Bai He and Hunter were all unconscious due to the teleportation knocking them out as the teenage girl was holding the little girl close to her. Hunter was the first one to regain consciousness as he sat up while rubbing his head, "Wha... What happened?" and that's when he noticed the others were still unconscious.

"Guys, wake up! Are you okay?!" Hunter exclaimed, causing the trio to slowly wake up as they also regained their consciousness. "I think so..." Ally says as she sat up along with Bai He.

"What the hell happened?" Genya groaned while rubbing the back of his neck. "Apparently Mk and Mei were sent crashing into Tang and he accidentally teleported all of us away" Hunter explained before Bai He says in a scared tone "Guys... I think we got separated from the others" and that's when the three teenagers realized that the little girl was right; the others were nowhere in sight.

"Where are we?" Ally questioned as she and others took note on their surroundings as it was dark and it looked like a cloudy night with the moonlight shining. "Great, just great! I don't know what's worse; that we're separated from the others, we got teleported into a spooky place or the fact that my best friend from childhood had been lying to me for years?!" Genya exclaimed with an annoyed glare, making Ally look at him in shock.

"Me?! What did I ever lie to you about?!!"

"Really?! You're going to pull that card on me, Ally?! The fact that you never told me that you had some type of special power inside of you and most important of all; you left town without even saying goodbye to me!! You said you would never leave me! You promised!" Genya exclaimed in anger, making Ally angry as well with Hunter not knowing how to step in while Bai He was getting scared.

"You think I wanted to leave?! Do you know how hard it was for me to leave town without saying goodbye to you?! It wasn't my choice!!" Ally exclaimed and Genya's glare only hardened as he stated "It was your choice! You Left!!".

"Genya, stop! I didn't- I had to! You don't understand!" Ally tried to explain and Genya only clenched his fist as he exclaimed "I do understand! I understand that I was never enough for you! But, did you really have to make it clear by running off without telling me goodbye one last time?!!".

"It Was Either That Or Alec Would Hurt You!!"

Bai He couldn't take it anymore as she let out a yell and cried out "STOP IT!! Both Of You!!!" and then she takes off running, shocking the trio as sobs come out of the little girl's mouth. "Bai He, wait!!" Ally exclaimed, but the little girl didn't listen and Hunter looked at the two and said with a glare "You guys, make up!!" and with that, Hunter runs off after Bai He, leaving Ally and Genya alone.

Back with Pigsy

Pigsy looks around in the new area he's in as he feels nervous and scared with his surroundings being some sort of ruined battlefield.



"Uh..."

Back with Tang

Tang notices a village filled with pregnant women with either their daughters or newborns drinking by a river; but the weird thing was that there was no men.



"Look at that. It's a monk"

A woman was holding a bowl of water with a kind smile on her face and her baby that was on her back also smiled at Tang. The scholar looks at the bowl of water the woman is offering him and finally realizes where he is, causing Tang to scream as he immediately teleports himself away.

Back with Mei

Mei has been captured and brought into a luxurious castle. "I don't know who you dorks are, but hands off the merchandise! If I had my sword, I'd slice ya and dice ya! And my boyfriend was here, he's gonna make you regret kidnapping me!!" Mei shouted as she struggled to break free before the soldiers dropped/pushed her inside as she fell to the ground with the entrance locked.

"Well, well, well. Who is this little creature that comes wandering into my den?"

Mei looks up and sees a man with pale yellow skin, lavender eyes and very light purple hair sitting on a throne as he was staring down at the young woman.

"Who are you?! What am I doing here?! What do you want?!" Mei shouted as she bombarded him with questions. "Feisty. Very well" the man stood up from his throne, "Allow me to tell you a tale".

"Oh, that's okay. I should go-" Mei groans as he ignores her and begins telling a story.

"There once was a Celestial Guard who fell deeply in love with a Jade Maiden. However, their love was forbidden. And so, by his hand, he sacrificed their immortality, that they might be reborn in the mortal realm, their union unbound by the rules of heaven. But fate moves slowly. To prolong his mortal life, the Guard ensnared and devoured powerful souls that wandered into his domain as he awaited the return of his beloved. But then one day, he encounters a beautiful goddess who was traveling with her female companions. He soon realizes that the goddess had some similarities to his beloved and tries to pursue her, but sadly cannot enter the Celestial Realm. He believed his beloved has been reborn as a goddess and blames heaven for taking her away once again"

And with that, he ends the story.

"Wait! H-Hang on a sec" Mei says.

"I am Kui Mulang, Guard of the Celestial Court, one of the 28 Mansions of the White Tiger, and Devourer of Earthly Souls. I have a feeling your chi will be especially... Xīnlà" the man known as Kui Mulang said with a grin.

"Oh, I'll be spicy alright!" Mei activates her powers before charging towards the former god, "White Horse Dragon Pepper Girl comin' right up!" but unfortunately for Mei, Kui Mulang traps her by using his powers as the young woman struggles to break free. "Such power, and yet powerless to use it" the former god says before Mei was teleported into a prison cell as she was locked away.

"Nooo!" Mei cried out.

"Ah. Another poor soul awaiting their fate at the hands of Kui Mulang" a voice spoke out, causing Mei to turn around and saw a man sitting down on the ground as he has long white hair with two green streaks, green eyes, and round green eyebrows. His hair is partially kept up in a bun. He's wearing a white hanfu with a gold collar, green belt along with a spring green cloak with a green hoof design at the sleeves.

Back with Tang

Tang is busy teleporting through different chapters to find the others. He searches at the swamp where he was surrounded by alligators.

"Nope"

Next, he arrives at where Chang'e departs as it was at the middle of the night.

"Nope"

Then he passes by a battle where young Nezha and Ao Bing were fighting each other.

"NOPE!! NOPE!!!"

Tang runs down a corridor before backtracking and looks into a throne room, "Huh?".

The Lady Bone Demon, who was known as Ivory Lady at the time looked at him as her eyes glowed for a second. "Nope!!!" Tang quickly teleported himself away, not wanting to see her again.

Back with the Four Kids

Ally and Genya were both sitting down on a rock in silence as they didn't know what to say after Hunter ran off to comfort Bai He. "We really screwed up with Bai He, didn't we?" Genya finally says as he broke the silence between them, making Ally nod as she replied back "Yeah... We did" and it was silent again before Genya finally asked "Uh, Ally? What exactly did you mean Alec would hurt me?".

It was silent once more between the two before Ally sighs and says "Okay, okay. I'll tell you everything you need to know" and with that, Ally began telling Genya everything from her and Alec's argument to him threatening her to cut off ties with Funneh or otherwise he would hurt Genya in the process. "... And that's why I left town... I didn't want you to get hurt because of me... I know I should've told you everything but... I was afraid... And I'm sorry that I didn't tell you goodbye... But that's not an excuse for what I did... I'm so sorry Genya... I hope you can forgive me and I understand that after this... You don't ever want to see me again..." Ally finished before she buried her face in her lap as she was already in tears and Genya was silent as his eyes were shadowed before getting up, went towards a rock wall before growling as his fangs grew a little.

Without warning, Genya furiously punches the wall over and over again while letting out angry yells before stopping as he pants a little with tears slowly forming at the corner of his eyes.

"..."

"I'm not mad at you, Ally"

This caused Ally to look up and look over at Genya with tears falling down from her face.



"I mean sure I was upset... But I wouldn't blame you... If I was in your shoes, I would have done the same thing. But... I'm just glad to know that you're okay and that I get to see you again..." Genya spoke softly as he stared at the rock wall before hissing a little and looked at his hand that he used to punch the wall. Suddenly two warm hands grabbed his bruised hand and gently cradled it, making Genya's face turn red and sweat in nervousness as he realized that Ally was the one who grabbed his hand.



"I don't think it was a good idea for you to punch the wall like that" Ally said before looking up at Genya and gave a gentle smile. "Thank you for understanding, Genya. That's why you're my favorite best friend" Ally says in a soft tone before she giggles and jumps on Genya while giving him a hug while the teenage boy's face turns red once again.



After a few seconds, Genya slowly hugs her back before he places her down and begins to say "Ally, I uh, there's something I've been meaning to tell you... Since you were honest with me, I want to be honest with you too..." and Ally was curious as she asked with a small smile on her face "Yes, Genya?" but the teenage boy suddenly froze as he couldn't help but stare into Ally's beautiful red eyes.



"I-It's just that... I wanted to tell you that I..."

"Guys?"

Genya and Ally both jumped as they whipped around and saw Hunter was back with Bai He, who has tear streaks on her face. "Oh my gosh, Bai He! You're okay!" Ally exclaimed happily as she ran towards the little girl and pulled her into a hug as Bai He quickly hugged her back.

'Damn it!' Genya thought to himself.

"I'm sorry, I ran off... I just didn't want to see you guys fighting and I-" Bai He was cut off by Ally gently patting her head as she spoke softly "It's okay, Bai He. If anything, Genya and I should be the one apologizing to you. We didn't mean to scare you like that" and then Genya came over and said "She's right. Sorry for scaring you" and this made Bai He smile as she says "It's fine. I forgive you two".

"Okay then now that everything is settled, we just have to wait for Mr. Tang and the others to find us. Let's now freak out..." Hunter said before Genya noticed something up ahead and questioned with his eyes slightly widened "Oh yeah?" and this caused Ally, Bai He and Hunter to look at him questionably before Genya slowly points his finger forward, making the trio turn around before their eyes widened upon seeing a scary canyon as they were standing on a rock formed-like bridge.



"..."

"Can We Freak Out Now?!" Bai He exclaimed as she hid behind Ally, completely scared by where they were at.

Meanwhile with Mei

Mei tries to kick down the door but fails as she ends up hurting herself and falls to the ground, making the man chuckle. "What's so funny, guy?" Mei asked, sounding agitated. "Oh, it's just... you know, you remind me of my sister and my lover. They, too, are impulsive" the man said.

"Sounds like cool gals. You know what's cooler? You helping me. Bust. Down. This. Door!" Mei exclaimed as she tried breaking down the cell door again, but with no luck "Ugh! This would be easier if I still had my sword!".

"Why don't you just make a new sword?" the man asked. "Oh, yeah! I'll just magically make myself a brand-new, one-of-a-kind, ancient family sword!" Mei remarked sarcastically as she was trying to not lose her temper, "Any other bright ideas? Or are you going to get over here and help me?!" and with that, the man sighs and starts to get up but ends up tripping and laughs. "Did ya see? I-I just fell down and bonked my brain cage. Ow" the man says, not looking hurt or anything.

"Ugh, this guy" Mei facepalms herself, "Forget it! I just assumed that you were in here 'cause that yellow-robed jerk wanted your powers too".

"I'm sure he does. But all they've ever done is get me in trouble. Even though my love always tries to defend me, so..." the man said as he looked at his covered hands. "Wait. So you're just sitting here waiting to throw away your powers? That's dumb!" Mei said. "Beg your pardon?" the man asked, looking surprised. "What's the point of having power if you won't use it? Don't you have people you wanna protect? And what about your lover?! She would be devastated! Let alone be worried about you!" Mei asked.

"Of course I do. But I can't protect them with careless actions... And my love shouldn't be worried about a dumb guy like me who is always clumsy... I don't even understand why she would choose someone like me to be her mate for life..." the man said before saying the last part to himself.

"Inaction is careless! If you're not giving everything you have to protect the people you care about, you are nothing! I would watch my sword shatter into pieces a thousand times so long as I used it to protect the ones I love and care about. If you're just gonna sit here and screw around, then maybe you don't deserve power!" Mei said and the man was calm while looking at her with seriousness before saying "And perhaps with greater caution, you would still have your sword" and this caused Mei to gritt her teeth in anger while her eyes shadowed.

"I know a thing or two about disappointing people, about feeling powerless to protect them, but I do not sense that you are a disappointment" Mei looks at him in shock, "Even now, locked away in imminent danger, your thoughts are to protect others".

"But how am I supposed to protect everyone if I don't have my sword?" Mei asked. "A sword is powerless without the hand that wields it" the man stated. "WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?!" Mei shouted at him. "Oh, you know, just some wise sage stuff. Did you like it? I made it up myself. Like right now" the man said, causing Mei to give him a frown.

Meanwhile with Tang

Tang appears in another chapter as he was teleported into a mysterious palace. Tang sighs as he said "At this rate, it's going to take me forever to find the others" but then he saw something in front of him, causing the scholar to freak out a bit before realizing it was Mo, Ender and Kirby.

"Mo! Oh, my Great Sage! I didn't even know you were in here. And Kirby, Ender! I am so glad to see you two!" but Mo quickly covers Tang's mouth as they hear voices down below.

"Wukong is a traitor! He'll end us the first chance he gets!"

They looked down to see Macaque, the elephant demon and the eagle demon talking about Monkey King. "Yes. The Stone Monkey is unpredictable. Now he's thrown his lot in with the Celestial Host, there's no telling where his true allegiances lie" the elephant demon said before the eagle demon looks at Macaque, who was leaning against a pillar with his arms crossed.

"You're characteristically quiet, Macaque!"

"I just think we should consider all our options before we-" Macaque starts to say before the eagle demon cuts him off "What's to consider? Wukong's made his choice. I say we strike him down now while we have the chance! Especially since he did nothing to help Lady Irene after what the Jade Emperor did!!" and this caught Tang's attention.

'What did the Jade Emperor do to Lady Irene?' Tang thought to himself.

"And what say you... Azure?" the elephant demon asked as he and the eagle demon both looked towards Azure Lion, who was sitting on a throne. Tang sees the lion demon for the first time and gasps as he recalls his drawing in the instructions.

"Is that... Azure Lion? I've got a bad feeling about this, guys" Tang says to Mo, Ender and Kirby as they continue to listen on.

Back with Mei

The moon has risen and Kui Mulang prepares the ritual with both Mei and the man's arms tied behind their backs by the former god's magic.

"The time has come for you to lend your energy to a greater cause. What do you say?" Kui Mulang uses his magic to bring the man forth before him and draws out his blade, "Beauty first".

"No. What is he doing?" Mei tried to move forward but Kui Mulang's magic holds her back, causing Mei to shout towards the man "Move! Before it's too late!" but the man doesn't move as Kui Mulang raised his blade to end the man's life, causing something inside of Mei to trigger as she activated her powers before breaking out of Kui Mulang's trap on her and immediately rushed forward and blocked Kui Mulang's blade.

"Huh?"

After listening to the man's words, Mei somehow pulled it off by creating a new sword as Kui Mulang sees her blade before Mei defects it before she looked surprised to see that she created a new sword as the blade is thinner, it now has a white handguard with a green gem in the center and the outer blade is pale green and the inner bade is bright green.



"You insolent little..." Kui Mulang made his blade longer before charging towards Mei, who does the same thing as she shouted "White Horse Dragon Pepper Girl comin' right up!" and using her full force, Kui Mulang is thrust back and hits the wall by Mei's blow. She turns to the man and says "Sorry, I just thought it was the right time to be careless" and then they suddenly hear an explosion. Kui Mulang got up again, but this time he transformed into a large wolf, "I'LL JUST DO THIS THE OLD-FASHIONED WAY AND TEAR YOUR FLESH FROM YOUR BONES!!!" and then he leaps towards Mei.

"I THINK NOT!!"

Suddenly light green flames came out of nowhere and hit the former god, sending him towards the wall again. Mei and the man both looked up to see a beautiful light green dragon flying above them with its grace and beauty.



Mei was utterly surprised to see a dragon while the man recognized the dragon as he says happily "My love! You came for me! How did you find me?" and the dragon slowly lands down as they transform into a human revealing to be the one and only Della; the dragon princess of the Tianlong Mountains.



Della looks at the man as her expression softens as she says while heading towards the man, leans forward and gazes into the man's eyes "I have my ways, darling. Are you alright?" and she placed her hand on the man's cheek.

"I'm fine, Della. Really, I am"

"Mm. Good" Della spoke softly as she caresses the man's head before she pulls the man's head by his hair roughly and adopts a sharper, angrier tone "How the HELL... did you get caught?! Are you not being careful with your surroundings?! You know, if you get in trouble, I get in trouble! WE... don't want that!" and with that, she lets go of the man's hair as he winced a little before saying "Hehe... ow... Sorry..." and this made Della sigh before saying "You're lucky I love you... And I can't stay mad at you forever" and the two stared at each other lovingly before Mei suddenly screamed "Look Out!!" and they turned around to see Kui Mulang charging towards Della to attack her.

Just before either of the girls could do anything, the man runs forward and creates a shield around them with Della quickly coming in to help by using her powers. Mei was surprised by how powerful they were before asking the man "Huh? W... Why didn't you do that sooner?" and the man looked back at her and said "Because now seemed like the right time for action" and this caused Della to also look back at the girl and speak with gratitude in her voice "I don't know what you told him, young lady... But thank you for helping him finally understand" and this made Mei smile at them as she thought of something in that moment.

'Why does that woman almost look like Draco?'

Just then, Tang slides in with Mo, Ender and Kirby as they see Mei. "Huh? Mei? Oh, oh, Mei!" Tang rushed towards her before noticing her sword and commented "Whoa, nice sword" and then he looked forward before going into fanboy mode upon seeing both the man and Della. "Aaaahhh! It's you two! Mei's great-great-great-times-a-thousand-great-grandfather, Ao Lie! And my nephew's ancestor, Della; the Dragon Princess of the Tianlong Mountains!!". Upon hearing this, Mei gasps as she wowed at this while realizing the man in front of her is her great-great-great-times-a-thousand-great-grandfather and the woman next to him is her boyfriend's ancestor, but that's when the barrier starts breaking.

"We cannot hold him back much longer" Ao Lie said before Della added "Go. We will give you an opening" and then Mei says to Ao Lie "Knew you were cool!".

"You really think so?" Ao Lie asked with a cheerful grin before Della had a smirk on her face as she says "She does, my love! Now Transform!!" and with that, the two lovers transformed into their dragon forms. Mei was in complete awe and amazement before saying "So cool" and with that, Tang teleports them away while Ao Lie and Della both then let out a blast at Kui Mulang, causing the former god's castle to be obliterated.

Meanwhile Somewhere with Mk

Mk wakes up with a gasp before standing up and looks at his surroundings and finds himself at the steps of a temple. Suddenly a figure emerges from inside, revealing to be a woman as she asks Mk "Are you ready to meet the master?".

"Uh..."
