Narrator's POV

Ally, Bai He, Genya and Hunter were staring down at the scary canyon with an unsettled feeling as the little girl hid behind Ally, shaking in fear.

"O-Okay... Not only are we separated from the others, but we're now in front of a "totally" not suspicious canyon at all..." Ally suddenly says as she was starting to get nervous. Hunter began looking around before spotting something nearby and started walking towards it, catching the group's attention. "Dude, where are you going?!" Genya asked as Hunter gets towards an edge that goes down before saying as he points "Look, this slope right here goes now. If we go down here, we'll get down to the canyon and find out where we are" and then he starts going down carefully and slowly before Ally asks in concern "Hunter, are you sure that's a good idea?".

"It's the only idea we have Ally, besides we can't stand around and do nothing. We have to at least find the others or figure out where we are" Hunter said as he continued going down. Genya sighs before saying "He does have a point" and with that, he and the two girls begin following Hunter as they slowly and carefully go down the slope, making sure they don't slip. Hunter makes it down before helping Bai He down first and then Ally, who accidentally slips and was caught by Hunter in his arms before he gently places the girl down and then he turns around to help Genya, but only to find him already on the ground as he walks past him.

"It's kind of spooky down here. I wish we had some light" Bai He says and after she said that, Ally pulls out her notepad and a pencil from her pocket and draws a light glyph. She activates it and the small floating ball of light appears, surprising both Hunter and Genya in the process.

"Whoa... How did you do that?" Genya asked in awe, making Ally sheepishly grin before replying "I may have learned a few things since I left town. Anyways, let's go!" and with that, Ally began leading the way with Bai He quickly following after her as the two teenage boys glanced at each other before following after the two girls. The group had been walking for a couple of minutes as they still felt uneasy about the canyon before Bai He suddenly says "I don't like this very much..." and Ally reassures her by gently grabbing her hand and saying "Don't worry Bai He, I'm sure someone will come and help us, okay?" and this caused the little girl to look at Ally before nodding with a small smile as she tried to make a brave face.

"This isn't so bad... I mean we haven't run into any trouble yet, so I guess we're gonna be—!" Genya starts to say before the group hears a very loud roar, causing them to immediately stop and freeze.

"W-Wha... What was that?!" Ally exclaimed in a whisper tone as a terrified Bai He was shaking like a leaf while hugging the teenage girl tightly before Hunter looked at Genya with a deadpanned expression and remarked sarcastically "You were saying?".

"Shut up!"

"O-Okay... W-Well, I think it was nothing... Probably just the wind or something..." Ally tried to reassure the little girl but was failing miserably as Bai He looked like she was ready to cry. "I'm pretty sure that was not the wind, Ally. And if anything, it almost sounds like a–!" Hunter began to say before pausing as he and the group suddenly smelled something horrible, causing them to quickly cover their noses.

"What is that smell?" Bai He asked as she covered her nose with both of her hands. "Smells like someone hasn't brushed their teeth in over a year" Hunter said before Genya noticed something in the distance and froze. "G-Guys..." the trio looked at Genya, who looked shocked as he slowly pointed somewhere, causing them to look at the direction before freezing in place when they saw a giant creature that resembles a wolf, but its body is entirely made out of twigs, logs and leaves.



"W-W-What is that...?!" Ally whispered as she was completely shocked. "A timberwolf...!" Genya managed to say before the group quickly hid behind a huge boulder when the timberwolf looked in their direction before looking the other way. "What the heck is a timberwolf?!" Hunter asked and Genya looked at him and began explaining.

"I heard stories about them. Apparently, these timberwolves are made out of natural materials and dark magic, but no one knows their origins or where they came from. But just like actual wolves, they live and hunt in packs... And if there's one in front of us right now... then that means it's not alone..."

The group slowly poke their heads out and see that Genya was right; three more timberwolves suddenly appeared, making Bai He whimper in fear as she hugs Ally, who said "What are we gonna do? We can't just wait around until they leave! We have to keep going until we find the others!" and then Hunter thought for a moment before he suddenly had an idea.

"I got an idea... But you have to trust me"

Genya, Ally and Bai He all looked at Hunter, who had a serious look on his face.

The timberwolves were looking and roaming around the canyon as Hunter slowly pokes his head out before quickly ducking down and whispers to the trio "Follow me" and with that, Hunter began crawling as he leads a way to get out of the canyon while not getting spotted by the timberwolves with Bai He, Ally and Genya following behind him. They made sure to stay low and quiet as the timberwolves started walking forward with the group shaking out of nervousness before stopping when one of the creatures roared for some reason, making the group freeze.

"Keep going..." Hunter whispered as they continued crawling before the blonde-haired teenager spotted a wall that would cover them. He crawled a little faster before standing up and quickly hid behind the wall as the trio waited for Hunter to give the signal. Once the coast was clear, Hunter waved Genya to come over as the mohawk teenager made his way to the wall and quickly hid. Bai He went next as she quickly ran into Genya's arms before the trio looked over to see that Ally was the last one. Hunter gives the signal as the teenage girl slowly gets up and starts making her way towards the group...

Unfortunately for Ally, she misstepped and this caused her to fall forward with a loud thud along with letting out an accidental loud "OW!!" in the process.

This caught the attention of the timberwolves as they looked over at the group's direction with the four kids freezing in their place before the pack of timberwolves all let out roars of their own.

"TIMBERWOLF!!!"

The group immediately started running for their lives as the timberwolves began chasing after them while letting out snarls and barking. "They're Chasing Us!! What Do We Do?!!" Genya yelled as the four kids continued running as fast as they could until Ally spotted something that could help them and ran ahead of the group as she quickly climbed up a slope of rocks to where a huge boulder was at and waited for the moment. Once the group ran past her, Ally began pushing the boulder with all of her might before she somehow managed to push the boulder down, sending it crashing into the timberwolves as they broke into pieces. The group noticed this and gave Ally thumbs up with the teenage girl returning the gesture before the ground underneath Ally suddenly gave out, making the teenage girl fall to the ground as she screamed and crashed onto the ground, making the group wince.

Just before Ally could stand up, a piece of the boulder broke off and landed on the teenage girl's leg, making Ally yelp in pain. Suddenly the group noticed that the twigs, logs and leaves began glowing as they floated up and started forming into something.

"Uh oh..."

Realizing what's going to happen next, Genya looks at Ally and calls out "Ally, come on!" and the teenage girl tried to free her leg, but with no luck as she looks at Genya and says with a panicked tone "I can't! I'm stuck!!".

A scared Bai He without thinking ran towards Ally and began trying to lift up the boulder piece off of the teenage girl's leg with Genya and Hunter's help. "It's too heavy!" Hunter exclaimed as he was struggling. "We gotta move!" Genya said as he kept trying to lift the boulder piece up and then suddenly the group felt a hot breath hitting them, causing the four kids to slowly turn around and froze. Right behind them was a timberwolf, but it was much bigger than the other timberwolves as it looked more ferocious as it had a tiny crown on its head made out of sticks.



It suddenly let out a ferocious roar at them, making them scream as Bai He's scream was the loudest out of all of them and it could be heard from miles away.

Meanwhile Somewhere Else

Bai He's scream was heard, catching the attention of someone as they muttered to themselves "Someone's in trouble..." and without a second thought, the person began running towards the direction of the scream.

Back with the Four Kids

The timberwolf was staring down at the group, ferociously before Ally suddenly said "Forget it, you guys! Get out of here now!!" and then the timberwolf took a step forward, making the group shake as this caused Bai He, Hunter and Genya to fall down. "Will you guys just stop being stubborn and go?!!" Ally yelled as she made a brave face, despite her being terrified at the moment. "No! We're Not Leaving You Behind!!" Genya exclaimed as he and Hunter continued trying their best to lift up the boulder piece before Bai He suddenly felt a burst of courage inside of her as she stood in front of the trio with her arms stretched out, trying to protect her friends while facing the timberwolf bravely.

The huge creature then let out a ferocious roar with Bai He screaming back at it and then all of a sudden, a dark purple beam fell from the sky and landed between the timberwolf and the kids, causing a small explosion to happen.



Bai He shielded her face with her arms as her eyes were shut tightly before slowly opening them and gasped upon seeing what caused the explosion. Standing right in front of her is Lena; the first goddess Witch of the West as her expression hardened on the timberwolf while in a defensive stance with her staff out.

"Mom..." Bai He muttered out in awe before Lena spoke, "You little ones stay back. We'll hold it off" and with that, Lena zoomed towards the timberwolf with her staff ready. "What does she mean by we?" Genya asked before Lena shouted "Girls, Now!!".

Suddenly the rest of the Mighty Five appeared with their powers and weapons ready as Katara, Lola and Anila charged towards the timberwolf while Della immediately rushed towards the four kids as she asked in a concerned manner "Are you children alright?!".

"We're okay, but Ally's stuck! Her leg is trapped!!" Bai He explained, making Della nod at the little girl's information before she looks at Hunter and a blushing Genya as she says "Okay! On the count of three, you boys help me lift off the boulder, understand?" and the two boys nod as they got into position before Della started counting.

"Here we go... One... Two... Three!"

Hunter, Genya and Della immediately began lifting up the boulder piece as it slowly rises and soon it was enough for Ally to pull out her leg as Della noticed this and exclaimed "Pull your leg out, now!!" and with the help of Bai He, Ally immediately crawled out just in time for Della, Genya and Hunter to drop the boulder piece back down. "Can you stand?" Della asked Ally, who slowly got up and nodded her head before the dragon princess let out a whistle to her companions and called out "The girl's free! Let's get out of here!!".

Upon hearing the girl was free, the three goddesses retreated with the timberwolf chasing after them. "It's coming for us!!" Bai He screamed as she was holding Ally's hand while running for her life. Seeing this, Lena skids a stop and faces the timberwolf as it was charging towards her at full speed. The witch goddess took a deep breath before summoning a small purple energy ball of magic in her hand and then let out a yell as she threw it towards the timberwolf, who tried to stop but was too late as the purple magic ball hit the timberwolf, causing it to explode in the process.



Satisfied, Lena ran off to join the others as they made it out of the canyon with the witch goddess arriving shortly afterwards. "Mom!" Bai He immediately ran towards a surprised yet confused Lena and hugged her as she happily said "Am I glad to see you!". Gently pushing the little girl, Lena says "Young lady. I think you're mistaken" and this surprised Bai He as she says "What? It's me Mom, Bai He".

"I don't have a daughter named 'Bai He' nor do I have any children at all" Lena stated, making Bai He look sad for a moment before Ally quickly comes in and says "Sorry about the confusion, Miss! It's just my friends and I got lost and we don't know where our village is. And you just remind my friend Bai He here of her own mother that she's separated from".

"Oh, you poor sweet things" Anila says, feeling sympathy for the four kids. "What were you children doing in that canyon anyways?! Don't you know that it was the timberwolves' territory?" Katara asked as she lightly scolded them, making Lena come to their defense as she said "I'm sure they didn't know, Katara. They're just kids. And they have no idea where their home is" and then Lola asked curiously "Well, what should we do with them then?" and just before Lena could answer, someone spoke.

"We help these little ones, of course"

Everyone turned around to see the newcomer as it was revealed to Lady Irene herself; the Goddess of Peace.



"Lady Irene" Della greeted the goddess, who acknowledged the dragon princess. "We're sorry for running off. These little ones needed out help" Lena spoke before gesturing the four kids who were all staring at the beautiful goddess in awe. Lady Irene walks up towards the children and bends down to Bai He's level before asking softly "Are you and your friends alright, little one?" and all of a sudden, Bai He felt shy by the beautiful goddess as she stammered softly "Y-Yes ma'am. We're all okay..." and this made the goddess of peace nod her head before looking at Ally, Genya and Hunter as she nods at them as well.

"I am glad that you children are unharmed and safe. Now, come with us" Lady Irene gestures the group to follow them as she starts walking off with the Mighty Five following behind her. "Why?" Genya suddenly asked, making the six goddesses pause and looks at him before Lady Irene spoke "We're taking you to the closest village to help find your family".

And with that, the six goddesses began heading off with the four children following after them and unknown to them, someone was watching them from afar as their four eyes slightly narrowed before taking off.

"Ally, how are we gonna get the Krew and Aphmau to remember us and get their memories?" Bai He whispered to the teenage girl, who began thinking for a moment before whispering back "It'll be just like what happened to Tang. We let the story play out and when we get the chance, the Krew and Aphmau will remember us. For right now, we have to wait" and this made Bai He nod as the continued walking.

Meanwhile Somewhere Far

Something or someone was flying in the sky and was heading towards a gnarled, bleak fortress in a broad valley filled with oily pools of stagnant water. Surrounded by a devastated forest, the entire area is covered in burls and cankers.



Landing down, the creature's shadow was seen on the wall as it was walking somewhere before standing in front of two doors as they opened on their own, allowing the creature to walk inside to what looked like a throne room before bowing down.

"Sire, I have spotted the goddesses and your assumptions were right, the goddess of peace was with them" the creature spoke as the person, who cannot be seen because of the shadows is sitting on a throne asked "I see... And is there anything else I should know~?" and that's when the creature added "Yes. Four human children are traveling with them, Sire".

"Oh? Do tell"

"The goddesses rescued them from being attacked by a pack of timberwolves... And from what I saw, the youngest human child seemed fond of the witch goddess" the creature spoke, causing the person to think for a moment before asking "Where are they heading now?" and the creature replied "The goddesses were taking the human children to the closest village from here, Sire".

It was quiet for a moment before the person finally said "Bring the child to me...".

Back with the Group

The goddesses and the four children were still traveling to find a village with Lena leading the way as Bai He was staying close to her while holding the goddess's hand to which the witch goddess didn't mind before Lola asked "Lena, you sure you know where you're going?".

"Yes. I remember I used to walk around these parts before. I just have to find the path" Lena said, making Anila question "Path? What path?" and then Lena spotted something up ahead as she let out a small gasp before saying while pointing forward "That path!". Right in front of the group is a river as the color of the water is a dark, neutral, baked brown with a sandy undertone and thankfully the current wasn't strong.

"That's not a path. That's a muddy river" Hunter said and then Lola says "So, I guess we need to find a bridge" and this caused Lena to roll her eyes before she walked into the river, surprising the group. "...Or be spontaneous and jump right in" Lola adds with a nervous chuckle. "It's not deep. We can walk across" Lena says, causing the rest of the group except Lola to walk into the river in order to get to the other side with Della carrying Bai He in her arms.

"Yeah, no. I don't really do mud" Lola spoke, causing Lena to stop and look back at her friend and pointed out "But you've gotten dirty before!" and Lola gave out a nervous laugh as she said "Ironic, isn't it?".

"Lola!" the Mighty Five all exclaimed.

"Okay, all right! I'm coming" Lola said before taking off her shoes and slowly steps into the river, "It's squishy. Oh! What was that?" and this made Lena groan in annoyance before yelping in surprise as she suddenly sank into the water with the river up to her waist. The others turned around and gasped upon seeing this before Lena tried getting up, but with no value as she grunted.

"She's stuck!" Genya said and the others came over to help, but Lena insisted "I can get myself out of here" and then she tried getting up once more but unfortunately it didn't work, making Lena groan in frustration before saying "AII right, all right. Someone just... Get me something to grab onto" and that's when Ally had an idea before saying "I got it! Don't move!" and then she starts walking towards the other side of the river, making Lena deadpanned and stated "It's not like I can move anyways" and this made the Mighty Five amused by Lena's remark.

Once Ally made it to the other side of the river, she began drawing two plant glyphs on the ground before activating them, causing vines to come out and she quickly grabs them before rushing over and held out the vines to Lena as she said "Grab this! Hurry!" and Lena looks at the teenage girl questionably before asking "Are you kidding me?" and Ally says "Trust me. And hold on tight" and with that, Lena grabs onto the vines before Ally and the rest of the group begin pulling the vines in order to get Lena free. "It's working!" Bai He exclaimed happily as they noticed that it was working. "Hang on, just one more pull!" Katara said as the group continued pulling with all of their might and before they knew it, Lena was free.

"Yes!!"

Everyone cheered as they made to the other side of the river with Bai He rushing over and hugged Lena, who was taken aback before smiling softly and gently patted the little girl's head before noticing the Mighty Five giving her a look with smirks on their faces, making Lena blush in embarrassment before glaring at them. "I'm glad you're alright Lena. And well done to you, young Ally" Lady Irene spoke, making the teenage girl blush shyly before muttering out a 'thank you' to the goddess of peace. "Let's keep going. The village is still a couple of ways away" Della said before heading off with the rest of the group following after the dragon princess.

Timeskip

After what seemed like hours, the group came to a stop as they spotted a wooden suspension bridge up ahead that went over a canyon. But what concerned the five goddesses was that the area was foggy and the bridge looked slightly sturdy.



"This does not look safe..." Anila spoke as she looks at the wooden bridge with unease. Lady Irene walks up to the bridge and says "Let's do this one at a time, shall we? I'll go first" and with that, the goddess of peace began to slowly walk on the bridge with the group getting worried or concerned as they watched Lady Irene disappear into the fog. The goddess of peace kept walking before pausing when she thought she heard movement nearby as she looked around for a second before she continued walking and eventually made it to the other side and then called out to the group, "Okay, come on over! One at a time!".

Katara looks at Lena and gestures her to go next, causing the witch goddess to nod before bending down to Bai He's level and stated "All right, Bai He. I'm going to leave you just for a minute. And then you'll be right behind me, okay?" and the little girl stares at her for a moment before saying "Miss Lena. I've been alone my whole life before my mom entered my life. I think I can manage the next two minutes without you" and this made Katara look away as she was amused by the girl's response. "Right, and I'm going to take care of you until I get you back to your mother" Lena said with a small smile before she started walking on the bridge, but not before giving Bai He a gentle pat on the head.

Lady Irene began looking around at some parts she could see the scenery due to the fog as she thought to herself 'Why does this seem familiar... And why do I have a bad feeling about this?'.

Lena had made it to the other side of the bridge before calling out to the little girl "Okay, Bai He. Come on over, sweetie!" and Ally went over towards Bai He and said "Okay. Over you go. And don't worry, we'll be right behind you" and after nodding her head, Bai He began walking on the bridge while taking slow and steady, deep breaths.

Lady Irene spotted some plants nearby and walks over to a flower, but what immediately caught her attention was that the flower was starting to wither. Bai He was still walking on the bridge before stopping when she noticed the rope she was holding suddenly went stiff and straight. Lena was still waiting for Bai He as she was worried before noticing Lady Irene quickly coming back as she seemed worried about something; her facial expression didn't show but her eyes said otherwise. Bai He heard something or possibly someone walking towards her as she quietly called out "Miss Lena?".

Realization hit Lady Irene as she said "Oh, my god..." and Lena asked getting worried about the goddess of peace's tone "What is it?" and Lady Irene said "We're an enemy territory". Getting worried and confused about the situation, Lena asked "Who's?". Bai He squinted her eyes to see who was coming towards her before someone came out of the fog. Unfortunately it wasn't Lena, but someone else as the figure was a tall and muscular creature with wings that looked like two different kinds of wings were combined together.



Screaming, Bai He immediately ran back to the group as she cried out "Ally!!!" and upon hearing the little girl's scream, Lena runs on the bridge with Lady Irene following after her "Bai He?!!".

"Bai He?! Bai He!!" Ally called out as she runs towards Bai He with the rest of the group following after her. "Help me! Help me!!" Bai He cried out before the creature swooped in and grabbed the little girl as it began flying away with the screaming and crying Bai He in its arms. "BAI HE!!" Ally, Genya and Hunter all screamed as they immediately ran to the other side of the bridge with Lola, Anila and Lady Irene summoning their wings while Lena immediately summoned her staff before jumping on it with the four goddesses flying after the creature.

Bai He struggled to break free from the creature's grasp as it continued flying with the four goddesses behind its tail. The two remaining goddesses and the three teenagers began running to try to catch up with the others as Genya yelled out "Bai He!!".

"I Can't See Her! I Can't See Her!!" Ally cried out as she kept running with all of her might. "Bai He!" Hunter yelled out as the group continued running.

"Help me!! AAAHHHHH!!!" Bai He screamed as she was crying and the creature looked down at the little girl before slightly startled as magic was shot towards it, making the creature look over its shoulder and saw an infuriated Lena as she summons another magic energy ball while yelling "LET THE GIRL GO!!".

"Miss Lena, Help Me!!" Bai He cried out with Lola summoning a fireball before she and Lena both threw their attacks at the creature, who swiftly dodges. This shocked the two goddesses before they tried again until Lady Irene summons her staff, creating a white energy ball before shooting it towards the creature, who noticed this and had an idea to escape. The creature suddenly shoots out a plasma blast from its mouth before swiftly flying through the blasts of their plasma fire with Bai He screaming "MOM!!!" before she and the creature both disappear, shocking the three goddesses.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!"
