"Next Top Villain??" Amy read the title of the show.

Tails raised a brow in confusion. "What does it mean by the next top villain??"

Knuckles scoffed. "If someone is replacing Eggman, it better be someone who's an actual threat."

The scene starts with Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, Amy, and Sticks staring at the unknown villain floating in front of them in horror.

"They look scared." Silver pointed out. "And the villain they're fighting is floating above them."

"If he's the villain replacing Eggman, then maybe he's a true evil villain." Blaze said.

The figure raised his finger and fired lasers at them, and Tails screamed and backflipped behind a rock, soon joined by Sticks. Amy tried to block the laser attacks with her hammer, but the laser was so powerful that it pushed her back. Knuckles tries to protect himself from the attack. Sonic spin jumps ahead of him, but the lasers hit Knuckles and burn his body.

Knuckles sighed, shaking his head.

Tails' eyes widened. "We've never faced an enemy so powerful!"

Eggman scoffed at that.

Knuckles nodded. "Looks like we finally met our match."

Knuckles rolled his eyes.

"We should never have doubted the awesome skills and incredible power of... Dave the Intern!" Sonic said, his eyes wide.

"What?!" Sonic shouted in disbelief.

"Wait, so they're fighting Dave??" Tails questioned in shock.

"And he's the new villain??" Scourge scoffed, shaking his head.

"So you guys are losing to an intern, who works at a food restaurant?" Fiona asked. "That's stupid."

"And false." Shadow pointed. "This is clearly a fantasy of the beaver's mind." He gesture at Sonic. "Did you not just hear Sonic say that his skills are awesome?"

The blue hedgehog blinked. He frowned. "Yeah! You're right, Shadow!" He glared at the screen. "There is absolutely no way I would've call a lame villain's power awesome!"

"No but your twin would." Carol snickered.

Dave is shown hoovering above Team Sonic, He laughs evilly. "And now my wrath shall down upon you like... Uh... like rain; a painful rain! Like when you walk outside and you're not expecting it, and then BAM! Rain!"

Spade furrowed his eyebrows. "He can't even make a villainous threat?? Disappointment."

Eggman shook his head. Why on earth would his double hire some like him?

"Now, prepare to meet your doom!"

Dave prepares himself and unleashes an icy breath. He blows it at Amy and Tails, freezing them in an ice block.

"Oh c'mon! We could've easily dodged that!" Amy screamed furious.

Dave then sends a telepathic signal to two bears, who appear behind the trees. They chase Knuckles and Sticks. The two members of Team Sonic climb up the tree to escape, screaming.

Knuckles' eyebrow twitched in anger. Why was he running away from two bears?! He could've easily taken them down with one simple punch! This Dave the Intern was pissing him off.

Meanwhile, Sonic get scared as he spots Dave close to him. Sonic shuddered in fear as Dave loomed menacingly over him. Sonic clasped his hands pleadingly. "Please Dave... I'm begging you for mercy!"

"Mercy?!" Sonic repeated the words, angrily. "He's a typical nobody, who does nothing to earn himself as a villain!"

Knuckles cracked his knuckles. "If I was in that show, I would've beaver's tooth out."

"And I would've smacked him towards the moon with my hammer!" Amy yelled frustrated.

Dave glared at the blue speedster.. "I have no mercy. I work in the fast food industry!" Dave fires a laser at Sonic. A bright flash is shown on the screen. When the flash dies out, Sonic's burned shoes are shown. Dave laughs evilly.

"David! What are you doing down there?"

Dave stops laughing as the scene changes to him inside his room, playing with a set of action figures. He's wearing a cardboard box on his head and Team Sonic are his action figures.

Shadow scoffed. "I knew it."

"That beaver has a sick fantasy!" Amy retorted.

So do you." Knuckles pointed out. "You constantly think of Sonic ALL the time in your fantasy dream."

"At least it's a fantasy about someone I care about, who is fun and lovable! You just think about guarding the Master Emerald, which is no fun at all!"

"It's not supposed to be fun. It's supposed to be responsible."

"Which is not fun."

"Shut up, Sonic."

Hearing his mother yell, Dave stopped playing. "Nothing, mother."

"Are you gonna play with your dollies all day, or are you going to go out and try to be a villain?"

"Wait, his mother wants him to become a villain???" Lilac questioned shocked.

"Is she a villain too??" Milla asked.

"If a parent wants their offspring to walk a dark path, then they're just as bad as they are." Neera stated, shaking her head.

"They're action figures!" Dave corrected his mother And I am a villain! Remember? I'm a founding member of the Lightning Bolt Society."

"You mean those punks who barely does anything evil?" Scoffed asked doubtful.

Tails hummed. "Well there was this one time when they snuck into Eggman's Lair and accidentally took control of his techs and made a rampage around the village.

"Which was barely an evil scheme to begin with." Knuckles remarked.

"A bunch of losers." Dave's mother called out. "Why can't you be more like that Dr. Eggman? He is such a wonderful horrible person!"

"I'm flattered, but your son already once tried to become a villain like me." Eggman pointed out. "Only for my twin to kick him out after he double crossed him."

Dave hissed angrily. "I'm horrible too. You don't know what I can do or what I am gonna be! You don't know! I'm bad! I have bad things that you don't know about! I'll be evil! You'll see-e-ee!"

The scene changes to the Village Center. Willy and Chameleon watch the Weasel Bandit glue a coin to the ground.

Willy grinned. "This may every well be our most devious scheme yet."

The Weasel Bandit nodded. "Yeah. When people try to pick up these coins we glued down, they'll be terribly disappointed."

"Wooooowwww. So evil." Eggman said sarcastically.

"They need another hobby." Sonic said. "One that they might succeed in doing."

"They don't even realize that people around the village can get more money." Tails said, shaking his head.

"They're wasting their time. Again." Knuckles groused.

The team laughed. Hearing someone's approach, they looked up to see Dave walking over, sulking. Chameleon smiled welcomingly at Dave. "Dave, you want in on this sweet action?"

Dave shook his head. "Sorry, but my mom says I can't hang out with you guys anymore. You're not a bad enough influence on me." The beaver walked off, and the gang glanced at each other.

"Hope this means were done with him for good."

"I doubt it's that easy, Eggy."

Willy looked down at the ground to see the quarter that they glued to the ground. He grinned. "Let me grab that before the owner comes back."

He tried to pry it from the ground, but it was glued stiff.

"This idiot. Did he forget that-"

"Don't bother, Scourge." Knuckles sighed. "You'll give yourself a headache."

Dave mumbled to himself as he walked. "Evil schemes, dastardly plots... I've got it. I may not have supervillain powers, but maybe I can replicate them."

"Replicate??" Milla said confused.

Tails sighed. "He's gonna embarrass himself."

The scene changes to Dave over to Amy's house and sets up a fan in front of an ice cube in Amy's window. Dave snickered. "Once I activate this freeze ray, Sonic and his friends with be immobilized in ice forever!"

Torques blinked. "...It doesn't... work like that..."

Vector snorted. "It's probably a hot day so he's gonna cool them off!"

Espio sighed. "Some villain."

Dave laughs as he then activates the fan, holding it behind the ice block attached to a rope, blowing the cold air through the window into Team Sonic. The quartet breathes out and relaxes.

Sonic smiled. "Now that's what I call a cool summer breeze."

Dave stopped the fan and whimpered.

Cory chuckled. "Guess that didn't go as well as he hoped."

The scene changes to Dave sneaking behind Sonic's shack, holding a magnifying glass. "With this magnifying glass, I'll harness the power of the sun to fry those fools!"

Sonic laughed, forgetting his anger at the beaver. "He's gonna burn us with annoyance if he thinks a magnifying glass will fry us to death!"

Amy giggled, covering her mouth. "He really is a villain!'

Dave chuckles and holds the magnifying glass to reflect the sunlight through a window in Sonic's Shack. It reflects off a water glass and creates a multicolored lighting effect that amazes Team Sonic.

Milla was amazed. "Woah."

Lilac smiled. "He may be a villain but he's actually giving them a good time."

Carol nodded. "He tries to do evil things on purpose, but ends up doing good things by accident.

Knuckles grinned. "Cool!" He walked up to the radio and turned it on, and the gang started dancing.

Dave whines at the scene and drops his arms in dismay.

Cory laughed. "Big fail. Yet big fun."

"What else villainy things is he about to do?" Carol said, snickering.

The scene changes to the Village Center, where the Team Sonic are sitting on some benches.

"Minions of the jungle, I command you to attack and destroy!" Dave commanded as he kicks a box which tips over and five non-anthropomorphic rabbits. The rabbits jump towards Team Sonic. The whole gang gets excited as they arrive.

Dave grinned. "Yes. Nibble. Nibble with... vengeance!"

However, the rabbits don't nibble, instead Sonic and the other pats them.

Dave slumped in disappointment.

Tails chuckled. "It looks like he's finally given up."

Eggman inwardly scoffed. "I wouldn't be so sure."

"What make you say that?"

Hearing clapping, Dave turns around to see Eggman behind him.

"Oh."

Sonic sighed. "And just when Dave was about to become one of my favorite characters."

Knuckles scoffed. "I would rather have Sticks as my favorite character than Dave."

"Wow. That's some A+ villainy you got there, kid." Eggman said sarcastically. "Did you learn nothing as my intern? Step aside, son, and watch a master at work."

Dave watched as Eggman pulled out a control and pressed the button. A second later, a laser cage popped up in front of them. "Feast your eyes on my brand-spanking new Electrocage! A sure-fire way to capture Sonic and his dingus friends."

"Yeah, except there's only one." Sonic pointed out.

"Not to mention it's just a regular cage; only with lasers." Tails added.

Dave snickered excitedly. "Ooh. Villainy."

Eggman continued. "To be a super-villain, you need super-villain technology. What do you have? A dinky cardboard helmet and an employ discount at Meh Burger?"

Dave snarled angrily. "That's not true! You don't get an employee discount unless you're management."

He angrily tossed his cardboard helmet off of his head. " I'm sick of everyone saying I am worthless."

"Which you are." Spade said deadpan.

Sonic shrugged. "Hey at least he's good at keeping us entertain."

Gong scoffed. "Yeah, entertain us by being a lousy nuisance."

Dave kicked his helmet, which frightens the rabbit. The rabbit hopped off, jumping into Eggman's mobile and accidentally firing the laser, which sliced a tree. Hearing the tree crack towards him, Eggman let out a startled scream, and everything went black.

"What just happened?" Silver asked.

"Eggman's been captured." Blaze answered. "Accidentally."

Sonic snorted. "Oh my god! You've been captured by him, Eggface?!"

The human genius never thought he could be any more embarrassed than he already is.

Moments later, Eggman is seen trapped inside the Electrocage. He slowly gets up. "Wh-what's going on? Where am I?"

"You're in my evil underground lair." Dave hissed evily. He walked out of the shadows and blew into his inhaler.

Milla eyed the inhaler. "Is he sick?"

"He probably needs it to breathe." Tails answered. "His lungs are probably hurting."

Eggman looked at Dave skeptically. "Looks like a finished basement."

"I said it was underground, didn't I?"

"You'll never get away with this. I bet Orbot and Cubot are on their way to rescue me right now!"

Eggman highly doubt that.

Orbot and Cubot are seen resting on the couch next to each other, and finally after a few long moments, Orbot glanced at Cubot. "Do you get the feeling something's missing?"

Cubot shook his head. "I don't know."

Amy cringed. "They don't even realize that their boss is not here."

Tails shrugged. "Maybe he told them that he went off."

"Maybe, but if he did, it wouldn't be for so long."

Sonic glanced at the doctor. "Even after the way you treat, you actually expect them to rescue you?"

"Honestly no." Eggman admitted. "But from Dave? Maybe."

"Wait, I know!" Orbot said. He reached behind him and pulled out a cup and ball toy and grinned. "My cup and ball toy!"

Orbot began to play with the toy while Cubot watched in amazement.

"You know what, I changed my mind. I would rather have you save me, rodent."

Eggman frowned. "Now that I think about it, I better get comfy here."

"You should since Dave isn't really a threat to anyone." Knuckles said.

"He's a threat by being annoying." Gong retorted.

Hearing the TV, Eggman and Dave turned to it to see Soar announcing the latest news. "We received this shocking video from that loser who always gets my order wrong at Meh Burger."

Dave soon popped up on the screen, and in the background was an unconscious Eggman, lying in the bottom of his cage in his basement. "Dr. Eggman has been replaced by me, the newest king of villainy: Dave the Intern!" He frowned. "No, wait. Dave the Invincible! Sonic, as your new arch-nemesis, I challenge you to battle!" He smirked evilly as he moved up to the camera. "Cower in fear before me..."

The blue blue scoffed. "I only cower in your dreams, pal."

Suddenly, Dave's mother's voice ruined the moment. "David! Come upstairs and try on your new pajamas! I bought the ones with the race cars you like!"

"Moooom!" Dave shrieked in embarrassment. "You're embarrassing me during my manifesto!"

Fiona giggled. "More like your manifesto of embarrassment."

The message ended, and Soar turned to Sonic. "With me is Sonic the Hedgehog. Sonic, what do you make of this?" He held the remote up to Sonic.

Sonic spoke into the mike. "Well, Soar. To be frank, I'm happy to have Eggman out of the picture."

"Not for long." Eggman said, crossing his arms. "You'll be bored out of your mind with me gone, rodent."

Sonic inwardly agreed with the doctor. Though it would be happy and safe to see Eggman gone... but it also means no adventures for him. Which is boring.

Eggman snickered at Dave. "Hah! Hear that, Dave? Sonic's happy I can no longer attack him. I win!" He frowned in realization. "Oh wait, I'm in a cage."

"Idiot." Shadow mumbled.

"As for Dave, honestly, he's never really been a threat, unless you consider serving under-cooked beef a threat." Sonic continued. He and Soar shared a laugh.

Amy nodded. "You got that right! You could easily tell that those burgers are unhealthy for you!"

Soar nodded in agreement. "Actually, food-born illnesses are not to be laughed at... But Dave the Intern is."

Sonic, Penny, and Soar laughed again. The news ended.

Dave hissed grumpily as Eggman laughed. "SILENCE!" He snarled, and Eggman stopped. Dave turned away from his prisoner. "I'll show Sonic not to laugh at me..."

Eggman waved it off. "Nah. You get used to it."

"The rodent may be annoying, but you'll get used to his idiotic laugher."

"Speaking of laughter, you need to take some coughing pills. Because you sure overworked yourself when you laughed too much, Eggbrain."

Dave switched off the TV and frowned thoughtfully. "All I need is a little muscle. And I know just where I'm gonna get it."

"You better not be thinking about going to my lair and taking control of MY evil technology."

"I was just gonna join a gym and work on my biceps. But stealing your technology is a way better plan."

Eggman facepalmed. Why couldn't his twin keep his mouth shut.

The scene changes to Dave controlling Octopus Bot. He fires lasers at Sonic and the blue hedgehog dodges them and runs away. The lasers vanish in a puff of smoke. Dave laughs evilly.

Sonic's eyes widened in fear as he ran. "Why did I disrespect Dave?! Why?!" He waild.

Everyone furrowed their eyebrows as they knew it was another one of Dave's fantasies.

Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Sticks and some villagers watch as Octopus Bot collides with a well followed by a tree.

Dave try to gain control of the robot and failed. "Vengeance shall be..." The robot starts to shudder. "Oh, come on, you stupid thing. Turn!" He accidentally lets go of the control panel. He quickly grabs them and tries to control Octopus Bot. "Vengeance shall be... whooa!" Octopus Bot bounces off the ground.

Amy shook her head. "This is just sad."

"He seems to think vengeance shall be... something I'm just not clear what?" Knuckles asked.

"This is really hard to watch." Amy said glumly.

"Then maybe you should try and stop him before he hurts someone or himself." Knuckles groused.

Dave nearly ran over the ice cream guy, but he luckily ran away while his cart got destroyed. Octopus Bot then started spraying ink all over the village.

Tails glanced at the blue blur. "Sonic, we gotta stop that thing!"

The blue speedster nodded. "I'm on it. You guys stay here and keep Dave from hurting himself and/or others. we're gonna heroically leave... To get help."

He zoomed off, leaving behind his confused friends.

"So while your friends are dealing with the robot, you're gonna leave... heroically." Lilac said, glancing at Sonic, who could only shrug.

Eggman scoffed. "And the rodent says I treat people badly."

Eggman, who is still trapped inside the Electrocage, tries to reach for the cage's remote control on a shelf but to no avail, grunting in anger. He begins attacking the Electrocage's bars.

"Why are you trying to escape from your own trap when you build it in your own image?" Tails questioned. "It's kinda pointless since you've made it to trap Sonic."

Eggman sighed. Of course his double was gonna escape from something that is completely pointless. If the pink hedgehog couldn't escape, then neither can he.

"No wonder Sonic hates it when I capture him. This is really unpleasant." Eggman retorted. "Next time I design a trap, I should include some amenities, like magazines, uh, beverage dispensers, shuffleboards. Something to make the prisoner feel welcomed and appreciated."

"Even if you give me multiple chilli-dogs, I would still feel unwelcomed and unappreciated."

Sonic finally arrives at the scene. "Eggman. Dave is running rampant through the village with your Octopus Bot." He said as he walked up to the cage.

The human genius frowned. "He's not using the ink, is he? Those ink cartridges cost a fortune. That's really how they get you."

"Can we talk about this after I rescue you?"

"Rescue me? Oh-ho no. I'm not getting rescued by my arch-nemesis. My friends will never let me hear the end of it."

"You have friends??" Sonic questioned.

"What friends?" Sonic asked, putting his hands on his hips.

"I got friends."

"The only friends you have Eggster are robots who have no soul."

"And the only friend you have, rodent, is a two tailed freak fox, who cowards in fear of lightning.

Tails gave a death glare.

"A creepy pink hedgehog, who stalks you constantly and demands to be your girlfriend, to which you get scared and run away."

Amy puffs her cheeks in anger and frowns at the doctor.

"And an emo echidna who works alone, guarding his precious Master Emerald from his bat girlfriend."

"She is NOT my girlfriend!! And I'm NOT emo!! I just work best on my own!!"

"That's emo."

Sonic waved him off. "Ignore him guys."

Eggman frowned. "I don't need to prove anything to you."

"Will you just quiet down and let me break you out of here?" Sonic asked.

"I can't break myself out, thank you very much!"

Suddenly, Dave's mom called down to them, and Eggman and Sonic froze as she yelled. "What's going on down there?!"

"Nothing Mrs. Dave's Mom." Both Sonic and Eggman said in unison.

Carol chuckled. "Seriously?? You guys are childish."

"No surprise there." Spade said, rolling his eyes.

Cory laughed. "Didn't know you guys were scared of Dave's mom."

"We are not scared!"

"You almost got us in trouble." Eggman scowled at Sonic.

"You started it!" The blue blur hissed back. "Quit being a baby and let me rescue you."

"Who are you calling a baby, rodent?!"

"'I'm not a baby!" Eggman angrily protested.

"You're acting like one."

"Quiet you blue monkey."

Mrs. Dave's Mom called up again. "Don't make me come down there."

"Oh no. She's coming!" Eggman whispered nervously. He glanced at Sonic. "Fine, let me controller's over there. Just don't tell anyone that you've rescued me."

Sonic grabbed the remote, and with a press of the button, freeing Eggman from the Electrocage. The tiptoed as they exited Dave's house. They notice Octopus Bot still flying around the village, followed by Knuckles, Amy and Sticks, who stop by.

When they were outside, Sonic grinned at everyone. "Hey guys, I rescued Eggman!"

Eggman scowled at Sonic. "Aw, geez. Come on!"

Hearing Octopus Bot falling over and Dave screaming, Sonic turned to Eggman. "So, Egghead. How do we shut this thing down?"

Eggman gave the blue blur an annoyed look. "Oh right. Like I'm gonna tell you how to shut down one of my robots."

"I don't think you have a choice." Wave stated.

A Tentacle slams down on Amy. She tries to break it with her hammer but it retreats. The third time it approaches, Amy nails a hit on the tentacle and it detaches.

"Careful! I just had him waxed!" Eggman scowled.

"If you love your invention so much then just tell them to turn it off?" Jet asked.

Another tentacle forces Amy back, but Knuckles steps in on the scene and holds on to the swinging tentacle, riding it like a rodeo bull and making cowboy noises. "Yeehaw! I'm Billy the Echidna!"

Knuckles decided to ignore that.

The red echidna jumps, does a 180 turn and pulls the tentacle off. Eggman covers his eyes in fear. "Yeouch! Right in the tentacles." He shrieked.

"Eggman, you gotta tell us how to shut it down!" Sonic pleaded in frustration.

"I don't gotta tell you squat."

Tails approaches in his plane. As ink from Octopus Bot get fired, Tails steers his plane clear of it. "Oh, come on! If you're gonna use the ink, at least hit a guy!" Eggman scolded. "Oh man, this is so gonna cost me."

Amy raised a brow. "Why don't you just get the ofgram refill kit?"

Eggman scowled at the human girl. "Why don't I just flush my money down the toilet while I'm at it? Those things never work."

"Why don't you all just shut up and end this already??" Scourge hissed in annoyance.

Spade glanced at Theo. "How much longer."

"Approximately one minute thirty seconds."

Eggman glared Sonic. "Fine. I'll help you shut it down."

"Finally." Fiona mumbled.

"There's a manual override switch hidden just between the upper and lower beak."

"Where's that?" Sonic asked.

"It's on the undercarriage, near the syphon. Don't you know anything about octopus anatomy?" Eggman questioned

"Honestly, no." Sonic shrugged.

Tails shook his head. "Has he forgotten who he's talking to?"

Dave hissed at them. "You're not getting anywhere near my undercarriage." He yelped as he lost control with the controls again. Sonic stepped in and dodged a tentacle that slammed down on him. Sonic found the off switch and ran toward it, dodging the tentacles along the way.

Dave pulled out his cell phone. "I'm finally gonna make mom proud by destroying Sonic the Hedgehog! I should capture this moment for posterity."

However, at the flash of the phone, Dave yelped and he lost control of the robot. He let out a panicked shriek as he ran the robot into his house, destroying it.

Knuckles clapped slowly. "Yeah, you definitely made your mom proud."

Sonic gets to the override switch and pulls it. Octopus Bot shuts down. The windshield opens and Dave climbs out. Team Sonic walk in and look at it. Eggman jumps into Octopus Bot, closes the windshield and straightens it up. He groans in anger.

"He moved the mirrors, and changed all my presets! And the change cup is empty. I know I had money in there." The human genius complains as he flew off.

"GET ME OUT OF HERE!"

Dave ran up to his house, his eyes wide. "Mother?!"

"Uh oh, someone's in trouble." Carol teased.

Lilac frowned at the wild cat. "His mother could be hurt, Carol."

"Relax, Lilac. She's probably proud of him for what he did."

"I doubt that." Neera said.

"David, are you responsible for destroying my house?!" Dave's mother called out from under the debris.

Dave drops his arms miserably. "Yes, mother..."

"That's a terrible thing you did. I am so proud of you."

Knuckles blinked. "Wait what??"

"Pardon??" Neera said shocked.

Carol put her hands behind her head and grinned. "Told ya."

Dave smiled hopefully. "So, I'm not a loser?"

"No. You're... a villain." His mother said causing Dave to stand up proudly.

"Well that's... nice?" Silver didn't know what to make of this.

Sonic smiled. " I think our work here is done. Come on, gang, let's go home."

"Wait! What about Dave's mom?!" Amy asked.

"What about her?" Knuckles asked, not seeing the point.

"She's crushed underneath her house!" Lilac pointed out.

Spade shrugged. "So??"

"So! They should maybe, I don't know, call the ambulance?!" The dragon suggested.

"Too bad. The show's about to end." Eggman said, nonchalantly.

Seeing something sparkle on the ground, Tails stooped walking, and got excited. It was a quarter on the ground. "Oh! A quarter!" The kit knelt down and tried to grab it, but no use.

The scene shows the Lightning Bolt Society behind a fence watching nearby, cackling.

Shadow groaned. "At least those three weren't annoying in this show."

"Too bad they might appear again." Spade pointed out.

The black hedgehog frowned. "Yeah, but other than that, the show's finally over."

Lilac sighed. "I hope Dave's mother is ok."

"She'll be fine. Remember, this is a comedy universe." Knuckles said.

Lilac looked at the red echidna. "First, you didn't care and now you're saying she's gonna be ok?"

"I'm just saying."

Tails scratched his head awkwardly. "At least he made his mom proud for being a villain."

"At what cost? Damaging his house?"

"He trapped Eggman."

"That was by accident." The doctor replied.

Lucy pressed the button to the next episode.
