I've never been the type to sit down and start watching a show that's had more than two seasons, let alone fifteen. But I turned on the TV when I couldn't sleep and I found a series called Supernatural that was being watched.

I had it on in the background at first, but, I can't believe I'm saying this, it's not bad.

I didn't even realize Maya was back until she spoke. "What are you doing?" She walked over to me and took the remote from the table. "Who told you you could watch that? I had it where I left off." She tried to go back a few episodes, back to where I started and she ended.

"It was there, so I turned it on. What's your problem? It's just a series." Damn good one.

"How can you even watch anything if you haven't seen the two first seasons before that?" She frowned at me.

"Used my imagination." I shrugged.

"Really?" She looked at me. "That sure went well." She turned off the internet and put something else on there. "Watch your own series." She threw me the remote and walked past me into her room.

I didn't know she owned that series.

I switched program after program but couldn't find anything that was even remotely good.

"Shit." I was startled when I heard Maya's voice coming from the bathroom and then a crash.

"This fucking woman." I got up from the couch and went to the bathroom. I knocked. "Everything okay?"

"Leave me alone." She said from behind the door.

I rolled my eyes before grabbing the handle and opening the door wide. It should be locked. She probably isn't used to that. But she should start if she doesn't want her brother to see her naked once.

"What are you doing?" She screamed as she tried to cover herself with her hands as she was only in a bra and jeans.

Normally my gaze would be on her tits, but right now it's on her shoulder where the bleeding wound is. I looked down at the bandage by the sink and the first aid kit.

"What happened?" I walked up to her.

"Get out." She tried to push me away.

"Show me that." I nodded my head on her shoulder.

"I'm fine, leave." She kept trying to cover her body with her hands.

Without saying a word, I grabbed her hand so I could look at it. It's not deep enough to have stitches, but she should treat it properly if she doesn't want to have problems with it.

"So now you're a doctor?" She raised an eyebrow and snorted.

I grabbed her hips and lifted her to a spot next to the sink. Maya yelped and swore.

I opened the aid kit and took out a new bandage and disinfectant.

"What happened?" How can she get into so much trouble in just one week?

"None of your business, Acker."

"Fine, let me guess, you pissed someone off." I looked up at her, only to see from her expression that I'm right.

"Can you hurry up? I want to go to sleep."

I could do that, but honestly, it feels good to have her so close. And the fact that my face is almost in her tits is also a good reason.

But I'd be lying if I didn't say that my gaze wasn't on her tattoos for a bit. Each was from a different environment, but they all fit together. Like a puzzle. Flowers, skulls, cobwebs, knives, angels, scorpions and much more on her hand, plus some parts blacked out completely. Just below her breasts, on her ribs, on both sides, she had two flowers with leaves, and between them a heart pierced with a dagger, which was bleeding. But it is low enough that it is not visible even with a large neckline. Through the mirror I could also see a tattoo lower on her back. It was a Chinese dragon with flowers that dropped leaves.

"Try not to sleep on your right side."

"That's easy to say. I'm not a psycho who can sleep on my back." She snorted "And can you stop throwing me around? You can't just pick me up and do whatever you want when you feel like it." Looks like she's not the type who likes it.

"It's called not wasting time. You're not as easy to convince as others." I looked up at her, but quickly returned to her shoulder.

"Maybe if you asked it would change my answer." She narrowed her eyes.

"I prefer my way." I shrugged.

"Why are you even here?" She frowned.

"Because you'd end up with an infection and I wouldn't be surprised if it was so bad that you..."

"I mean in Seattle." She cut me off. "Why did you come with Theo?"

"I had no choice."

"Poor Acker. How sad."

"You asked." I laughed.

"Mhm." She shrugged.

No stupid comeback? I don't know about that one. She feels okay?

"So how's your friend doing? Is she mourning the idiot?"

"She wouldn't try." She laughed. "Julie's doing better than I thought actually."

"What did she even see in him?"

"He must have seemed safe to her."

"Safe?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Julie's not a girl who likes to take risks. And Alex was a really safe option. But not much in the end." She thought about it a little.

"How can you two even be friends? You're more different than black and white."

"And yet black and white look better together than anything else." She smiled. "But Julie knows how to relax. I like to think she learned that from me." She raised her head proudly.

"And what did you learn from her?" I bandaged her shoulder and slowly started cleaning everything back into the first aid kit.

"I don't know." She jumped to the ground. "Maybe nothing. I have to take a shower, do you want to help me with that too?" It's obvious that it wasn't a serious question and that she wants to get me out of here.

"My answer won't change your decision, will it?"

"Out." She walked over to the door and nodded her head at it.

"Yes boss." I saluted her and headed out of the bathroom. She closed, and now locked, the door behind me. I went back to the couch and switched program after program again. I'll probably fall asleep from boredom.

After about fifteen minutes, Maya came out of the bathroom. I could feel her looking at me.

What is she doing?

I heard her footsteps heading to the kitchen. She opened the fridge and took out something. To my surprise, she appeared next to me. "Move." She nodded her head for me to move.

I moved a little and Maya sat next to me. She handed me a beer and took the remote from my hand.

"Don't tell me that's too cheap for you." She looked at the beer.

"Funny." I laughed and opened it. "Not that I'm complaining, but what are you doing?" I leaned back and took a sip.

"How does it look?" She turned on Supernatural and went back to the first episode.

Is she really going to watch a series and drink beer with me? Did I miss something?

"Didn't you want to go to sleep?"

"If you're going to complain all the time, I will." She leaned back and turned on the episode. "I heard you switching channels in the bathroom and it was getting on my nerves." She opened her beer and took a sip. "So watch and be quiet."

I couldn't help but smile, and so that she wouldn't see it, I drank.

Maybe Maya doesn't hate me as much as she thinks.

I woke up a few times during the night, but didn't have the energy to get up and go to my own room.

I noticed that Acker also fell asleep sometimes at three o'clock and I can't remember when I put the blanket on myself.

"They're adorable." I heard a muffled voice.

"Looks like they had their own party." Another voice spoke up.

I moved and hit something hard with my elbow. "Watch it." Acker groaned in pain. Wait. Acker?

I opened my eyes wide and looked around. Acker was glued to me, still a little sleepy, and Theo and Julie were standing next to me. So those are the two voices.

"Did you sleep well Maya?" Julie winked at me.

"It's too early." My gaze fell on Acker who was slowly falling as I was not his support anymore. "Nope." I got up and saw how he fell on his face on the couch.

"Ouch." He muttered.

I rolled my eyes and walked past the couch into the room with Julie at my heels. I threw myself on the bed and after a while she also appeared next to me.

"Why did you sleep in the living room?" I could hear the playfulness in her voice.

"What are you doing here Julie?" I muttered tiredly into the pillow.

"I came to see if you were okay, but apparently you are." She giggled.

"Don't even. We were watching a show and fell asleep. That's it." I said with my eyes closed. I need sleep.

"Whatever you say." She moved down to me and lay down properly. "So we're lying in bed all day today? I wouldn't complain if we were."

"Do we have other plans?" Please say no. Please say no.

"No." Thank fuck! "Do you want me to check it?" She asked when my phone buzzed.

"Help yourself." There's nothing I'm hiding from Julie. What would be the point?

I felt the mattress sag as Julie reached for my phone. "What the hell?" That doesn't sound good.

I raised myself on my elbows and looked at her. "What?"

"I knew you were easy to get to bed. You basically open your legs to anyone, but I didn't think that meant your own boss as well."

"What?" I frowned and sat down. Julie turned her phone towards me and I read the message from an unknown number again.

"Did you sleep with Eddie?" She asked me seriously.

"No." I looked at her offended. "You would know about it."

"Well this guy thinks you did." She pointed to the phone.

"And why do we care what he thinks?" Another guy who doesn't have anything better to do, so he annoys those around him.

"Since someone has your number and texts you about what you're doing." Julie looked slightly scared.

"Obviously not very well since nothing happened between me and Eddie."

"Why doesn't it bother you? At least a little?"

"Have you seen my instagram?" I raised an eyebrow. "There are worse things than this. It's just a prank. Nothing to worry about." I handed her my phone and lay down again.

"I want to not give a fuck about life, like you do sometimes."

"Watch and learn." I laid on my back and put my hands behind my head with a smile.

"You're crazy." She laughed.

"And you love it, so shush."

*****

"You should wipe off that droll, Maya. You'll only make more work for yourself." Julie laughed as she walked past the bar.

"Ha-ha-ha, funny." I rolled my eyes but wiped the bar just to be sure.

I wasn't drooling, FYI. I watched Eddie on stage with a guitar in his hand and an angelic voice.

It's strange that he plays when there are more people. He usually plays when there are only staff and about five people. Perhaps he is no longer afraid of performing in front of a larger audience.

Not that he ever was scared.

"Mason?" He looked up at me from the drink he was making. "I'll pop over to the storage for a few bottles, can you handle it yourself?"

"Sure." He gave me a small smile and went back to what he was doing.

I turned on my heel and walked back through the double doors into the storage. I turned on the light and at that moment it started to flicker before stopping and starting to glow normally. Eddie should invest in lights.

I walked to the shelves and found what I was looking for. I picked up a crate of bottles and slowly walked back to the door.

It took me a while to open them with the box in my hand but I managed in the end.

After I removed the bottles and placed them on the bar, I slid the crate under the bar.

"It suits you here." I heard over the bar and looked up at Theo. "It's a nice place." He looked around.

"What are you doing here?" I laughed. "And how did you know..." My gaze fell on Acker beside him. "Oh."

"Will I get a discount for bringing your brother here?" Acker sat down on one of the high chairs.

"If you're not happy with our price, I can raise it." I smiled.

"Forget I said anything."

"No problem. So what can I get you?" I saw Theo looking through the bottles behind me.

"Surprise me?" He raised an eyebrow.

"And you?" I looked at Acker.

"Whiskey on the rocks." So original.

I started preparing drinks for them and I don't even know how quickly the whole evening passed, but as if in a second I was already lying in bed.

I turned off the lamp on the table when my mobile phone turned on and I got a message.

Who texts so late?

I unlocked it and clicked on the message. It wasn't quite a text. It was an attached photo.

A picture of me. From tonight at the bar, when I was talking to Theo at their table.

"This does not look good." I said to myself.

But at least know that my ass looks good in those pants.
