The best thing in the world?

Casual sex.

You can try to convince me, but it wouldn't matter. I don't think there is anyone who can change my mind.

Why have a relationship when you can spend every night with someone else? New adventures, right? A little spontaneity never hurt anyone. It's good to explore new things. In my case, people.

And in the current situation, a woman named Laura. Well I think that's her name.

I explored the inside of her mouth pretty damn well with my tongue. Heaven on earth if you ask me.

"Sebastian!" I heard a voice coming from the door, but my attention was elsewhere. "I swear if I open this door and you're naked, you won't see a penny."

That was enough for me to throw off the blonde, who was yelping and cursing. I threw the duvet over her and pulled on my boxers.

While I was putting on my jeans, the door slowly began to open and one of my brothers stood in it. Killian.

Killian is the oldest of all of us. And by all of us I mean me, my two other brothers Finn and Kai, and little sister Val. Well she isn't so little anymore, but still.

Killian has also been a pain in my ass for the past few months. That's probably what happens when a woman leaves a baby on your neck and blows herself up. Literally.

It's been a tough few months.

"I told you not to bring them here when Lucy is home. Get her out of here before she sees her." He pointed to the woman in my bed.

"Come on Killian. Live a little." I smiled. "Do I look as tense as you do?"

"Get her out of here."He turned on the spot. "And start packing your shit."

"Pack?" I frowned. "Pack for what?" I shouted after him, but didn't get an answer. "Awesome." I exhaled heavily.

I put myself together and turned to the blond on my bed. Her blue eyes watching my every step.

"Where were we?" I smiled and walked over to the bed. But before I did anything else, she sat up.

"What did he mean by don't bring them here?" She was looking at me really pissed off.

Looks like we're done here. Thanks bro, you little cockblocker.

"He didn't mean anything at all." I walked over to her and lifted her chin with my finger so she would look at me.

"What's my name?" She narrowed her eyes, which were full of passion a few minutes ago.

"Easy." I smiled triumphantly. "Laura." I bent my head down to kiss her but was stopped when I felt her hand on my cheek.

"Linda, you asshole." She shoved me, which didn't do much for me, and slipped past me to her stuff on the floor.

Laura, Linda. It was close.

I watched as she ran around the room naked, collecting her clothes. Maybe she found her pride there too. Who knows.

"Asshole." She snorted as she slammed the door behind her.

"Make sure the little girl doesn't see you!" I shouted after her with a laugh and threw myself back into bed.

I'm tired as fuck and still a little drunk.

I was lying on my back on the bed with my hands behind my head when something heavy fell on my stomach out of nowhere. "What the hell?" I frowned at the travel bag and Killian by the bed. "What is this?"

"You're leaving with Theo." He informed me.

"What why?" I frowned.

Not that it's a bad thing. Theo is my best friend. We have known each other for several years, basically we grew up together. But since he got himself a girlfriend, all the fun we had together is gone. I was left to do it all alone. At least more women for me.

"Theo's going to see his sister in Seattle and you're going with him." He pointed at me.

"I'm going to ask again, why?"

"Because I'm fed up with you. Finn's gone, Val's gone, only you're still here. You've been doing nothing all day, go live like you said."

"What about Kai? He's still here." I complained.

"He's helping me, that's the difference. So pack up, you're leaving in a few hours."

"Killian." I caught him before he left. "Is this supposed to be some sort of punishment?"

"A lesson. And I'm done with you bringing women here. Lucy is already seven. It's only a matter of time before she hears you and I have no plans to explain to her what you're doing here. I wouldn't even know where to start." With a disgusted look his eyes fell on handcuffs on the frame of my bed.

A man with no taste.

"So it's about Lucy?" I raised an eyebrow. "Alright, I'll stop taking women here, satisfied? Can I stay?"

"Let me think. No." He smiled.

"Come on Killian." He can't be serious. Is he literally throwing me out?

"You're going, no objections. Stay there with Theo the whole time and I'll think about your return. You're thirty, Sebastian. Time to grow up."

"Killian." I tried to stop him. "Killian." It's useless, but I try anyway. I looked at the travel bag on the bed. "Hell no."

*****

This Killian lesson is laughable. He has always been like a parent to us, but this is overdoing it. If he's trying to prove something, message received.

"Are you going to tell him something? I have a feeling that our big brother has gone crazy." I told Kai as I walked up and down the dining room while he tried to eat.

"Why should I?" He laughed. "I suggested it."

"You little piece of..." I walked towards him, but before I could do anything, Theo appeared in the doorway.

"You don't look like you're ready to leave. You've got ten minutes or I'm leaving without you." He pointed his finger at me.

"Great, then go." I'll even open the door for you.

"Come on Sebastian, it won't be that bad." Kai pushed his plate away. "Seattle is a beautiful city. A change of scenery will do you good."

"Why do you all want to throw me out? What have I ever done to you?" I frowned.

"He is scared." Theo smiled. "You're right Sebastian, don't go. It's better if you stay here." He was looking at me with a smile on his face and I saw Kai trying to hold back his laughter out of the corner of my eye. "It's okay to be scared. It's not for everyone to change the environment like that."

"I see what you're doing Theo." I said between my teeth. "I'm going to pack." I walked past Theo and bumped into him with my shoulder causing him to let out a laugh. Fucker.

I went back to the room and threw everything I would probably need into the travel bag.

I really hope Theo doesn't want to be there for long.

I don't even know why he wants to go there. For his sister? Bullshit. He hadn't seen her in a long time. I don't even remember the last time he was with her.

The last time I saw his sister, she was about seventeen. That was probably the last time he saw her too.

I can't remember exactly what she looked like then. That is, except for the long blonde hair and incredibly pink cheeks. She followed Theo everywhere, like a little lost puppy.

"Uncle Sebastian?" I heard a voice from the door and noticed a little girl with long brown hair in it. "Are you leaving?" She frowned sadly.

"Unfortunately, yes. Come here." I bent down so she could jump into my arms as she ran towards me.

She wrapped her arms tightly around my neck and hugged me. "When will you come back?"

"When your daddy decides I can." I laughed.

"Is he mad at you?" She pulled away from me to look into my face.

"Your dad? Always. But don't worry I'll be back." I pushed a strand of hair away from her face. "Promise me you'll make your father's life hell while I'm gone, okay?" I smiled, raised my hand to her and stuck out my pinky.

"I promise." She intertwined her little finger with mine and laughed.

Even though she isn't Killian's daughter biologically, it was easy to welcome her into the family. She is like the sun. Wherever she goes, the light follows her. Although her father is the head of the New York mob.

"Go on." I put her on the ground. "And don't forget your promise."

"I won't!" She screamed as she ran out of my room.

"Little devil." I said to myself and laughed.

Once I had everything packed up, I closed the door to my room and headed to the front door where Luna, a tall blonde who was a member of a killer organization called the white snakes, was saying goodbye to him. Long story, again.

"I felt better when you were going alone." She crossed her arms over her breasts.

"I'll miss you too Luna." I smiled.

"Don't get in trouble because of him. He's a magnet for them."

"I'm a magnet for a lot of things, but that's nice of you to say." I love it when I can piss her off in a few words. I'm enjoying it more than I should.

"That's definitely what she was trying to do." Kai appeared next to me and put his arm around my shoulders. "All the luck in the world, bro."

"I won't forget that this was your idea. When I get back, sleep with one eye open." I elbowed him in the ribs.

"Uh." He hissed in pain but laughed. "I'll miss you too."

"We should get going." Theo looked at his watch. "It's a long flight and we're already running late."

"It's a private plane, Theo. It won't go anywhere without us."

"Five minutes." He kissed Luna before taking her hand and walking with her out the front door.

"At least I won't have to see them licking each other in the hallways." I acknowledged.

"That goes for you too." Kai patted my shoulder. "Farewell."

"Yeah sure." I snorted, but also laughed.

I know I should be going but I stopped outside Killian's office and knocked. I walked in and found him behind a desk with his head in papers.

"We're leaving." I announced.

"Farewell." He looked up at me for a second and smiled.

"Thank you. Before I leave, I wanted to ask you again why you are sending me away."

He exhaled heavily and put down the papers he was holding in his hands. "You're thirty, it's time for you to leave. I know you'd never do it yourself."

"So you're doing this for my own good?" I raised an eyebrow. I have never heard bigger bullshit. And I heard a lot of it, trust me.

"Just try to enjoy it there. Who knows, maybe you'll like it there. Or you'll like being out in the world and you'll be traveling. Getting to know new things."

"I highly doubt it."

"Well at least you try. You can always come back, but not before Theo does."

"I still don't understand why."

"I'll tell you why when you get back."

"Oh my God." I grabbed my head. "You made a bet with Kai, didn't you?"

"Have a good trip, Sebastian." He smiled at me. "Enjoy Seattle."

"When I come back," I pointed at him, "I'll kill you."

Killian just laughed as I left his office. I like bets, but not when it's about me.

*****

"Finally." I breathed a sigh of relief when we landed in Seattle. Theo just laughed as we headed to the car. "How is your sister anyway?" I asked as Theo started the car.

"Okay. I guess." He shrugged.

"She knows we're coming, right?" I narrowed my eyes.

"She knows I'm coming, but I didn't have time to inform her about you."

"I'm sure your parents will be thrilled too." I laughed.

"We won't meet with them."

"What?" I frowned. I thought they all moved to Seattle.

"Maya lives alone. She has her own apartment."

"Really?" I looked at him in surprise. "So she's doing well. What's she doing?"

"I..." He trailed off. "I'm not sure."

"You mean you don't know." I pointed out a fact we both knew.

"We haven't talked in a long time. We're not in touch like we used to be."

"And why are you going to see her now?"

"I thought it was about time. I've been thinking about Luna and me and the next step. I want to make up with Maya before I propose to Luna again."

Again. Yes. He had already proposed once, but Killian interfered. Don't ask, it's a long story.

Wow, so many long stories. Someone should write a goddamn manual.

"So you haven't been in touch with her and now you're going to bring a strange guy into her apartment. Oh she is going to love you." I laughed.

"You're not a stranger. And at worst you'll go to some hotel."

"Hotel, wonderful." I leaned back against the seat. "So Seattle is going to be fun."

About half an hour later we pulled up in front of Maya's apartment. We took our bags out of the trunk, but when I was about to enter, Theo stopped me.

"Maybe it's better if I talk to her myself first. Do you mind if you wait here?"

"No problem." I put my bag on the ground and took out a pack of cigarettes and a lighter from my pocket.

Without another word, Theo entered the building and I leaned against the wall.

I exhaled a puff of cigarette smoke and tilted my head back until I hit a brick wall.

I had already smoked my entire cigarette when the door opened again. I was waiting for Theo, but some guy came out of them with his hair in all directions and his shirt on backwards.

Someone is enjoying themselves here.

I dropped the cigarette on the ground and picked up my bag. I opened the door and went inside. Theo had enough time to tell her about me.

I'm really wondering if Maya has changed since I last saw her.

My guess? I think she's still the girl who was afraid to go to a party without her brother's supervision. Not much can change in a few years.

And Maya is the last person who would like to change. I doubt she changed even a little.
