Surprise shawty 🥳
Isaac's POV
I continue to nervously shake my leg up and down as we sit in the damn drive thru of the 24 hour McDonalds.
All the drunk idiots must be out tonight because there's at least two cars in front of us and it's way past midnight for there to be this many cars in a fucking drive thru at this hour.
"You get anything yet?" I asked MK in the driver seat.
He glances down at his phone in the drink holder next to him for the second time that I've asked.
"No sir, nothing."
"What the fuck is taking so long?!" I grumble out loud. Going back into my message thread with Ric I reread the last message I sent him five minutes ago. "Where's my feedback on Roxwell?"
He hasn't opened it yet, meaning he's probably still on his bike driving and it's driving me fucking insane. I go into his contact information instantly calling him.
"Yeah?" He answers.
"Where the fuck are you?! Where's my feedback?"
I hear the roar to his bike in the background. "He's not picking up!" He shouts through the loud sound of the air pushing against him. "I reached out twice and nothing. I had headquarters call twice and nothing. His location is still ping'd at The Robsciotti's, we're on route now."
A nasty wave of anxiety immediately hits me.
"I'll meet you there, we're around the corner."
I watch MK pick up his phone and glue it next to his ear.
"Go home to red, KP, we got this, I'll keep you updated."
"Change of course," MK says into his phone. "Head to The Robsciotti's, touch base the second you come in contact, be there in less than ten."
"We're on our way," I tell Ric, instantly ending our call after.
I sit forward in my seat, looking over at MK's partner in the passenger seat, "the second we touch Robsciotti property I want you to get in this driver seat and drive this little girl back to headquarters and get her checked out with Leo."
"Yes sir."
We spend about another five minutes in the drive thru line before we're getting Ayra's food and heading back on the road. MK's phone starts ringing a few minutes later and he's quickly handing me the phone a couple seconds later after he answers.
"What is it?" I immediately questioned, gluing his phone to my ear.
"You're not gonna like it boss.."
"Lay it on me."
"Split up! Find him!" Specs shouts.
"SPECS! I raise my voice, trying to not lose control of my temper around the little girl next to me.
"The estate is still standing," he says.
Both teams were instructed to shoot anything and anyone in sight, drag any bodies laying around and burn the place down with all its evidence before leaving the premises.
"Roxwell?" I asked.
"All the casualties we're coming across are friendly's boss. Both his team and ours. Robsciotti was definitely tipped off."
Mother fucker. At least now I know what fucking group has my mole.
I look over at Ayra next to me as she digs around in her little red happy meal box, snacking on fries.
"How far out are we, MK?!"
"Five minutes top boss."
"Do you have visual on Roxwell or not?" I speak back into the phone, back to Specs.
"Negative sir. The guys are sweeping the house, Amatto and his team are checking bodies."
I don't say anything in return, I'm at a loss for words really. My head and chest feel like they're about to explode and the feeling alone is enough to make me feel sick.
Cris has never meant anything to me, I'm not entirely sure if he still does yet, but the fact that I might have to tell my father that his newly found son might be dead is raising my anxiety through the roof.
"Shall we continue with the original plan and start moving them inside, boss?"
"No. Let me touch base first. We're around the corner. Call Leo, get his team over there!"
"Yes sir."
I end the call and hand MK his phone back. We're pulling up to Robsciotti's house less than two minutes later and I'm flying out of the truck before MK can even park.
I'm instantly met by chaos the second I step into the home. There's men bleeding out in every corner that I look in. It's really no different than Deroma's place, but this time it's my men bleeding out, it's Cris' men fighting for their life.
"How many are still breathing?!" I exclaim looking over to Sacramento's men standing around, their guns in their hands still.
"Two, from what we can count, body count is still tallied up."
"Who's breathing?"
Markus shakes his head. I recognize his patch on his vest therefore I know it's him under his face mask. "They're not ours, they're his. Our men are all kill shots. Bullets to the head."
"What the fuck-"
"Got him!" A voice shouts from down the hall.
My feet instantly begin moving in that direction to find Ric poking his head out of a room.
"He was in a trick door," Ric explains and I'm quickly pushing him out of the way and storming into a room that looks like an office.
"Go get the first aid bag in one of the trucks!" I shout moving towards the open bookcase.
I listen to Ric take off running as I continue to make my way over to the bookshelf trick door, pulling it open all the way.
Instant panic takes over when I find Cris sitting up against the wall, unconscious, pale, his left hand at his side, as the right one sits on his lap, his gun still in his hand.
I step inside of the hidden area, taking a step over him, I move him to the side to see that his hand is actually covered in blood. He's hurt, he's bleeding out, but from where?
I crouch down in front of him, pulling him by his vest, I pull him in closer, tapping my other hand against his face, lightly smacking it. "Cris, wake up."
His eyes instantly begin to open up slowly. It takes him a few minutes to recognize me, to come out of his haze. "Y-your.. - your face- just h-ad to be the l-last one I see," he smirks, his breath hitching.
I feel my lips lightly tug to the side as relief instantly takes over, "consider it a blessing," I tell him. "Hang on, ima get you out of here."
He nods his head in agreementment.
"Can you sit forward?"
He nods again and I walk over behind him. I grab a hold of the top of his vest when I see Ric run back into the room, a black medical bag in his hand.
I quickly whistle over at him, getting his attention, "put it down, help me out real quick."
He nods his head dropping the bag onto the floor, rushing over to where we're at.
He bends down to grab his feet and we're slowly getting him out into the office, as Cris begins to groan in pain.
"Oh shit, you're still alive?!" Ric comments, looking down at Cris. "You looked dead when I found you."
"F-fuck you," Cris groans as we set him down on the floor.
Both Ric and I immediately begin to smile as I crouch down beside him and start to unclip and unhook his vest, "bring me the bag, Ric."
He nods his head and is instantly leaving my side rushing back over with the bag. He sets it down and begins going through it pulling out gauze's, tearing them open from their packaging.
"This might hurt a little," I tell Cris and begin to slowly sit him up so I can take the vest off of him.
He immediately begins to groan and cry out in pain as I pull the vest over his head with Ric's help, slowly setting him back down.
"Go back with MK and the guys, Ric, get a stat on Leo. Call David and have him send an ambulance asap."
"Red's dad?" He frowns.
"Did I stutter?"
He shakes his head, "I just- I didn't know he was still in."
"Go!" I shout.
He rapidly nods his head and is taking off a second later leaving Cris and I alone.
"S-so mean," Cris grumbles from below me.
"Shut up," I say reaching for the gauze Ric left open for me. "I thought I told you not to do some stupid shit and die?"
Cris laughs softly, "yeah b-because i purposely w-wanted to get shot."
I smile and tear open his shirt on the side, getting easier access to his wound. He instantly hisses as I plug up the bullet wound with multiple gauze.
"Don't worry, we'll get that mother fucker, he's not gonna get away with this," I snarl, keeping my hand on the gauze.
Cris shakes his head, "it wasn't- it wasn't Robsciotti," he groans. "It was your team, your m-men."
"My men??" I frown. "The hell are you talking about?!" Cris begins to cough as I continue keep my hold on his bloody gauze now.
"T-the house was empty. R-robsciotti was gone by the time we got here. Y-your men instantly open f-fired the second I gave the word to head back."
"I didn't-"
"I know," he inhales a deep breath. "It was y-your mole, he tried putting two slugs in my chest. Uziel quickly p-pulled me out of the way but he still got me on the side."
"Who is he? Who is it?"
He shakes his head starting to cough up some more, "I d-don't know, they had their mask on when we entered the house. Uziel dragged me in here after the sh-shooting started. I l-lost my balance and was l-lucky enough to fall against the bookshelf. We heard the instant click and he hid me in here the s-second he saw it was a trick door."
"Alright, shut the fuck up and save your energy," I tell him. "We'll talk details later."
"H-how many t-t-times d-do you think one can get sh-shot and s-stab before it's their l-last time?"
"A lot more than this," I attempted to comfort him, knowing where this conversation is heading. "Look at how many times Pops has been shot and stabbed."
He smiles for a second or son.
"I w-was n-never s-scared b-b-before," he says, struggling to catch his breath in between almost every word now. "I was happy when Ax did it, it gave me my way out. I was c-comfortable dying, n-now I'm scared, n-now my life has s-some m-meaning."
"You're not gonna die, the guys are coming, help is coming."
He shakes his head, "n-now I h-have a f-family," he looks up at me, eyes starting to glaze up. "A d-dad, a b-brother, regardless of y-you w-wanting one or n-not. N-now I don't f-feel s-so alone."
Instant chills begin to run up my back and down my arms.
I reach for one of his hands and squeeze it leaning forward into him, "If you die-" my voice cracks as it begins to strain. "You don't get to have a dad, I don't get to have a brother. You want a family so fucking bad then prove it, Cris. Shut the fuck up about dying and fight for your fucking life. In this fucking family, your family, we don't give up, we hang in there, we push through. Don't you dare let me watch you fucking die."
He inhales a deep ragged breath, nodding his head, blood starting to spill from the corner of his lips as he fights to get any little air he can into his lungs, squeezing my hand now.
Leo and his team come barging in through the door a few seconds later. I attempt to get out of his way, let him work without me hovering over him but Cris clings onto my hand as I attempt to get up shaking his head no.
There's an instant annoying warm uncomfortable feeling in my chest as I crouch down beside him again.
"H-have you called my father?" My voice comes out quieter than I would like as I look over in Leo's direction.
Leo shakes his head as he removes the gauze I had on Cris' wound, "I don't work for him anymore. You're in charge, remember?"
I nod frantically, slowly, quietly, starting to panic on the inside.
"I can't fix this, kid. He needs to go to a hospital, from the looks of it he's lost a lot of blood. I'll call in our favors with the Doc, but he needs more than I can provide for him."
I nod again, "David's sending an ambulance."
"Then get the hell out of here. We don't need you getting caught in the crossfire, there's a lot of dead bodies you'll have to explain."
I shake my head, "we'll be fine, it'll be an offline ambulance."
"Who will have to check in at the hospital, Isaac. Who will then have to explain how they took the call and where."
"I am not fucking leaving him!" I seethe. "He is in this mess because of me, because of my family!"
"He is your family," MK says from the doorway.
"Isaac-" I look down at the sound of Cris' raspy voice. "I-it's ok-ay."
"I am not going anywhere. You want a brother, you fucking got one. You fight for your fucking life. We are not weak men, we are survivors. We are legendary in this fucking city, my city, your city. You don't get to just leave before you can be a part of something great, you understand me?!"
His breath hitches as he nods his head yes, tears spilling out from the corner of his eyes as faint distant sirens get closer and louder with every second that passes by.
"MK."
"Yes sir?"
"Call Sacramento. Inform my father of what's going on and patch my wife through when she wakes up on a clear line. Get Dion and Dominic back to headquarters. Activate any trackers on the rest of T3 and exterminate."
"Right away boss."
