Subaru POV.

"I don't understand"

"Why did I ended up back here?"

"What killed me?"

Rem: Guest-sama you don't seem to be feeling well. Are you alright?

Ram: Guest-sama you seem to have a stomachache. Did you perhaps soil yourself?

Subaru: "You two... don't remember me?"

Both of the maids looked confused by this question from their [New] guest.

So it's like none of it ever happened? As saddest took over my entire body

"It's not fair"

*Both of the oni twins looked at guest with worried looks*

"Stop looking at me with those eyes."

"The unfamiliarity."

"The no connection."

"The pity look in their eyes."

I couldn't take it anymore.

I got off the bed and began walking to the door still managing to hold my tears.

But something triggered me.

Rem: "Guest-sama you shouldn't move so suddenly."

"STOP CALLING ME THAT!!!"

I ran out of the room.

"Why?"

"My promise to Emilia"

"Why?"

"My time as a butler"

"Why?"

"My time with everyone"

"WHY?"

Suabru: "What happened damn it?! Everything reset again!"

I opened a random door and slammed it shut.

*Exhausted I let my body slid down to the floor.*

"It's not fair."

----------------------------------------------------------- Back to Y/N and Emilia.

Both of you and Emilia were walking around the hallways when suddenly you found Rem in a hurry.

Rem: "Excuse me. Emilia-sama, guest-sama did you happen to see where did other guest went?

This question confused you and Emilia.

Emilia: "What do you mean Rem?"

Rem: "Emilia-sama our other guest that was just resting ran away and we can't find him."

"Subaru ran off?? Why would he run? This place is literally safe nothing bad would come for him here. Well... I mean not yet at least-"

Emilia: "Oh no! Y/N quick we have to find him!"

(Y/N): "Do we really have to?"

Emilia: "Yes! Subaru might trip or hurt himself."

(Y/N): *sigh* "alright but he's probably just fine."

So everyone split teams Rem and Ram looked inside the mansion. And you and Emilia looked outside.

You knew that Subaru will probably come out later. But you didn't want to be rude and let everyone look for him while you were just lazing around doing nothing.

While looking around for Subaru your mind just decided to reminded you of that horrible memory of Elsa cutting your hand off.

God that was embarrassing... you acted smug and powerful and ended up having your arm cut off and your eyes injured.

Stupid.

Well at least you have some actually time to train yourself to control your cursed energy. Though it would probably take a while just for that.

Suddenly you heard Emilia from a distance yell something.

Emilia: "Y/N! WE FOUND SUBARU!" Emilia yell as Subaru stood next to her as he wave his hand at you.

You walked up to them *arms crossed* "So where did our dear hero ran off to? Did ya save a princess or something?"

Subaru: "Oi I was just with Beatrice for bit."

Emilia: "well Subaru you did worry us when you did ran off."

Puck: "yeah although we should probably tell those maids that we did found you. They are probably going mad with their guest running off somewhere they can't find." Puck said as he sat on Emilia shoulder.

Subaru: "Wait didn't you say you would teach me magic Puck?"

(Y/N): "Hm, so he's going to learn about his magic now. Well I guess that does follow the cannon. Right?"

Emilia: "Sorry Subaru but we can't just keep Rem and Ram searching for you while we found you now."

Subaru: eh.. I guess that makes sense."

Everything went the same as before except the fact that I got scolded by Ram with Y/N when I ran off worrying everyone where I went.

The talk about the insignia and the kingdom was the same.

Roswaal: "Juuuust name your deeessiiire!"

Subaru: "Hire me to work in this mansion!"

Ram: Hic.

Time skip.

We arrived at the changing room.

Subaru: "To understand how I died. I need to repeat my steps. One by one"

"After all this how those looping plots work. Following the same path. will let you to the same place"

As I was about to picked up one butler uniform. Ram spoke.

Ram: "That's too large for you, Barusu."

Subaru: "Eh?" "but even I didn't even try it on"

Ram: "it appears that nothing here will fit you here. except for the maid outfits."

*Ram looked at her sister*

Ram: "Rem, alter that one for him later."

*Rem noded* Rem: "Yes sister."

Subaru: "Why not now?-"

Ram: "No Barusu."

Subaru: "Eh?"

Ram: "We must give our dear guest-sama a tour of the mansion first" *she pointed at Y/N* "Rem give our guest a tour of the mansion. Barusu you'll will help me with my work."

Subaru:"This didn't happen before."

Time skip.

After helping around the mansion I decided to take bath thinking about what happened.

I repeated my steps from my past life. But everything is totally different.

Subaru: "I don't understand what's happening here. I did everything about the same but-"

Then came in a naked Roswaal.

Roswaal: "Hiii thereee! Mind if I join-"

Subaru: "No, you may not."

*And then he started to move his hips around* Rowaal: "Buuut facility this is a part of myyyy mansion. So it is my property. So I'll do with it as I pleaseee."

Subaru: "Why bother asking then? Take a bath if you want." Subaru said not wanting to deal with orochimaru clown cousin.

Roswaal: "Mmmyyy, how harsh! Annd you don't seem to understand."

*Roswaal shook his head*

Rowaal: "Yes this bath is my property..."

*He opened his eye and stared at me* "But as a part of my staff." *He held my chin* "Are you not my property as well?"

As the screen looked like some kind gay story was about to being. Subaru bit Roswaal hand and stopped the gay shit.

Roswaal: "No hesitation at all!"

Subaru: "This is turning out different than I imagined..."

After Roswaal finally sat down to the other side of the bath, he began talking to Subaru.

Roswaal: "I doo noot knnoow what's bothering yoouuu, but life full of thiinngs that don't gooo your way. By the waayyy do you think you'll be able to get aloonng with Ram and Rem?"

Subaru: "I haven't spoken to Rem much yet, but I get along with Ram. In fact I think she's bit too friendly... I can't believe she works as a maid in that way."

Roswaal: "Weellll our dear Rem covers the things thaat Ram is unable tooo dooo. As sisters they must help each other in that sense, I think the two of them arreee getting quite wellll."

Subaru: "Ram is just a inferior to Rem, and all that Rem does is cover for her and yet both of them insist they Ram is superior because she is just older. It's scary how much nerve they have."

Rowaal: "Speeeaking of nerve, yours is quite impressive as well."

Rowall: "Wellll thaaat's enough about thooose two, what abooout the ooothers?"

Subaru: "Well Beatrice is little cute but needs to fix her attitude a bit."

Subaru "Puck is constantly getting in my way with Emilia-tan."

Subaru "And ah, Emilia-tan is such a angel! where do I begin with her?"

Suabru "That smooth sliver hair, Those beautiful amethyst eyes, Her beautiful voice, and her big-"

Rowaal: "Annnd your fine having Emilia-sama being so close to a criminal?"

Huh?

Rowaal: "Perhaaaps yoouuu don't knooow but those tattoos on ooour dear friend Y/N are ooones that they put on criminals in kararagi. "

(Kararagi copys different periods of Japan and the tattoos that sukuna has are ones they put on criminals in their old periods)

Suabru: "Huh? Wait if Y/N is a criminal then why did you allow him to live here? Wouldn't you have kicked him out? I mean what if he steals something or does something to Emilia?"

Roswaal raised his finger to shush me.

Rowaal: "I haveee already asssked Puck to check on Y/N-kun intentions annnd they seeem too be good buuut we can neveeer be too careless about something like this, dooon't you agrreee?"

I came out of the bath complexed. Did Y/N kill me in my sleep? No. That would make no sense why would he attack me? There is nothing to gain from killing me.

Subaru "He had no ill intentions towards Emilia, Nor anyone in this mansion."

Suabru "Maybe he want's Roswaal fortune? And decided-"

As I was looking for my clothes I found Ram standing there with a basket full of Roswaal clothes.

Ram: "cover up that sorry thing, Barusu."

----------------------------------------------------------- Time skip. Y/N POV.

After you were done reading the scroll you decided just sit outside in the mansion lawn. Because you had nothing better to do

Luckily you weren't alone as Emilia was also done with her studies now.

You two were quite as two of you just finished your studies in your rooms and just wanted a breath of fresh air.

....awkward....

So you decided speak and start a conversation.

Y/N: "So this is a big garden."

Emilia replied with a Yep.

(Y/N):"Really? Y/N Talking about a garden?, just say something better"

(Y/N):So how's your studies been going?

Emilia: "Ah, they have been excellent!"

In Emilia mind.

"Come on Emilia just say something you can't just stay quiet!"

Emila: "So Y/N how's Rem been treating you? Is she a good teacher?"

*Y/N cringed at the question but answered* "Ehh. I guess she's not bad but she's also pretty strict sometimes."

*Emilia smiled* Ah, that's good.

Emilia: "Starting a conversation is reeeally harder than I thought..."

Puck sensing Emilia awkwardness decided to step in.

Puck: "Hey Y/N how's it going?"

Y/N: "Hey Puck. Nothing much, just sitting around."

Puck: "Speaking about sitting around. You really just let me do most of the work in the loot house." As he stretched his back as if he carried you in the fight.

Y/N: "Hey! How was I supposed to intervene when you and Emilia were shooting those ice shards everywhere! I was lucky I didn't step in one!"

Puck: "Eh. It just sounds like skill issue to me. You should have been better."

Y/N: "Why you little..." but before you could insult the annoying flying cat. Emilia joined in.

Emilia: "well Puck isn't wrong... it felt like you had the strength, but didn't know how to use it."

*she held your palm and stared at it* Your hand feels rough. Like it's been in battle after battle and looking at your appearance you look very powerful.

Y/N: "Well... it be fair... I did get hit by a vehicle out of nowhere. before I had my stuff was stolen... so you can say maybe it damaged my brain a little... although I feel better now."

But the flying cat didn't stop berating you.

Puck: "Ah that's good news your head is better now! But I'll doubt that you can even do anything that would make me sweat a little."

As you glared at the annoying rat. As None of you guys noticed Subaru looking at Emilia who was still holding your hand.

Subaru: "OI WHAT IS THIS?!" *He pointed at you* "I leave Emilia for one moment and your trying to take her?! Y/N I might appreciate the help you did for us in the loot house, but Emilia is off limits!!!."

Y/N:"....what the hell is this simp talking about?..."

Puck: "Oh Hey Subaru, did you come to learn about magic?"

*Subaru bow down his head down* "Yes Puck-sensei please teach me how to use magic like Emilia-tan."

Puck: "I could teach you magic but technically Lia isn't really a magic-user that's goes for her contract with me, too. She's a spirit arts user."

*Subaru looked confused* Uh what's the difference between spirit arts and magic-users?

'Y/N answer his question' Magic-users can cast magic from their own mana while spirit arts users draw from mana in the atmosphere.

(Even though it had been a while since Y/N read re zero or watched the anime Y/N still did remember somethings)

*Subaru raised his hand* "And how are those different?"

Puck: "basically it depends on whether you use a gate or not."

Subaru: "A gate?"

Puck: "Mana passes through a gate within your body. You both draw and expel it through your gate."

Subaru: "I see... So it's like faucet for an MP."

Puck: "You should have one too, Subaru."

Subaru looked excited at the fact he could use magic.

Subaru: "Really?! Does that mean I can use magic too?"

Puck: "Want me to figure out your attibude?"

Puck: "Magic-users are divided into fire, water, wind, and earth attitudes' *as Puck put the tip of his tail at Subaru forehead and began meowing*

Subaru: "Whoa, that's totally a magic sound effect!"

Puck: "And your attitude is!!!!"

Puck: "Will be revealed after I see what Y/N has."

*Subaru was confused and shocked by this* "WHAT??? HE DIDN'T EVEN ASK YOU TO KNOW HIS MAGIC ATTRIBUTE IS!!"

(however puck ignored Subaru and asked Y/N)

Puck: "Hey Y/N do you want to know your magic attribute?"

Y/N: "Uh. sure Go ahead."

(As puck touched Y/N forehead he began to make some weird cat noises like he did with Subaru. But he felt something was off)

Puck: "Hold on... I don't feel any magic power from your body."

Emilia: "Eh? What do you mean Puck? Can't Y/N use magic?" *Clearly confused by this*

Puck: "No. I don't know but instead of having normal gate with mana. Y/N just has a lot of Curses on him."

Subaru: "So is Y/N cursed or something?" Subaru already know about this. But maybe he could have a better explanation on Curses this time.

(Not to mention this time Rem and Ram won't cut them off.)

Puck: "No. It just looks like instead of having normal magic attributes it looks like they have been replaced by some weird cursed energy."

Subaru: "Hey Y/N can you tell us more about your cursed energy?"

Y/N: "hmm. Nah."

Subaru: "huh?"

Y/N: "don't feel like it."

Subaru: "wait Y/N! Why not??!"

Y/N: "Why should I tell you?"

Subaru: "uh. Be-Because we are friends?"

Y/N: "Nope."

Subaru: "But-" before Subaru could continue pleading Y/N Emilia stopped him.

Emilia: "It's fine Subaru. Everyone can have their own secrets."

Puck: "I guess that's fine. But Y/N your not going to harm doing to do anything to harm Lia with your cursed energy right?" *Puck narrowed his eyes down at Y/N*

Y/N: "I have no reason to even harm you guys. So why would I?"

Subaru: "Can't you tell us at least something?"

Puck: "I can tell you about Curses if you want to Subaru."

Subaru: "Really?"

Puck: "Yeah, why not."

Puck: "Well firstly, curses also are known as cursed arts in practice, are a subcategory of magic abilities that specialize in harming people."

Puck: "They originate northern nation of Gusteko. And the way to use them is to activate a cursed mark that is place in the target body and drain their mana."

Puck: "And the way to place cursed mark is with physical touch."

Y/N looked like he got little interested hearing about this.

But Puck said something that might he shouldn't have.

Puck: "Even though Cursed techniques are deadly. they are [Nothing] compared to magic and spirit arts!"

Y/N face turned blank.

Y/N looked at Puck.

Stood up.

And began... walking away???

Subaru:"Uhhh... Hey Y/N! W-where are you going???"

He didn't stop. But responded.

Y/N:"I'm going back to my room..."

Subaru "Don't you wanna know my magic-"

(Y/N):"I SAID IM GOING BACK TO MY ROOM."

Subaru:"What's up with him?"

[Y/N New goal: BEAT OF EVERY MAGIC USER AND SPIRIT ARTS USERS TO PROVE CURSED ARTS ARE BETTER!.]

After Y/N left, Puck started talking again.

Puck: "Oh and by the way Subaru believe you might already have experience being cursed before."

Subaru: "Eh?I did?"

Puck: "Yes. Remember what Betty did before you fell unconscious?"

Subaru: "Oh yeah she drained my mana- WAIT ARE YOU SAYING THAT IF SHE DRAINED MORE I COULD HAVE DIED?"

*Emilia put her hands up try to calm Subaru down* "I am sure she wouldn't go that far Subaru."

And her words worked. Ah, Subaru:"Emilia-tan! you're beautiful voice is the only thing that can brighten my mood."

Subaru: "and what about my magic attribute? Is it burning fire of passion? Or maybe a relaxed cool water guy? Or maybe gentle like the wind blowing across the plain? Or is it solid, like the reliable earth?"

However it's was none of them as Puck announced.

Puck:"It's Yin!"

Subaru: all rejected??!

(You were walking back to your room to continue training there. But you couldn't help but be annoyed at Puck)

(Y/N):"Stupid cat.... CURSES ARE SUPERIOR!!!"

(Now sure perhaps Magic and spirit arts in this world probably dominates. But you had Cursed energy. And you couldn't stand just hear annoying cat that can't even stay his normal form for full day. Talk shit about it)

You were too pissed about this as you didn't notice the dark cloud that was next to the window*

As you finally made it to your room. You opened the door and saw a familiar library with it sitting blonde Loli who was looking down and reading her book.

*she looked up at you*

Beatrice: "what do you want, I suppose?"

Y/N: "Nothing. I just wanted to get in my room and but your library was here instead."

Beatrice: "is that all that you have to say, I suppose?'

(Y/N):"What else to you want me to say? Thank you for throwing me out of a window?"

*she turned her head to the side and did a little Hmph* Beatrice: "I just gave you what you deserved, in fact."

Y/N: "*sigh* well I guess I'll leave you alone, For now."

you turned around but before you leave and close the door behind you, you decided to say one more thing

Y/N: "Oh and... thanks for actually healing me."

*she raised a eyebrow* Beatrice: "you believe that I was the one who healed you, I suppose?"

Y/N: "Well Emilia already said that she can't put limbs back together. Now yes she did manage to connect my hand with my arm again but she couldn't do it fully."

Y/N: "And The twins may have some magic but they are probably can't do it. So that leaves only you."

Beatrice: "What about Bubby I suppose?"

Y/N: "He already spent too much mana in that fight so he's out of the list. And that clown didn't heal his nose after I broke it in the bathroom."

Beatrice: *Hmph* "you at least are smart enough to figured out that Betty was the one who healed you unlike that annoying boy. but it doesn't mean anything, I suppose.

Y/N: "I know. But just because you healed me it doesn't mean that I'll let you off the hook. I will have my revenge on you for throwing me out of the window. You damn drill Loli."

*she got annoyed by you for saying that word that she doesn't understand* just leave already! In fact!.

you closed the door and opened it again

It was your room this time

You closed the door and started training in your room by channeling cursed energy.

And just like that little spirit in her forbidden library.

You were alone again.

----------------------------------------------------------- Time skip with Subaru.

I sat down in the chair in my room alone this time ready to face what killed me.

Subaru: "All right, let's settle this, Fate... I won't fall a sleep tonight, no matter what. I'll stay awake to greet the morning of my promise."

...Silence....

As I was still sitting down. I was reminded of that one time I overslept on the day of my class trip.

I straggling to stay awake as my eyes were giving up on me.

Oh wait I forgot to tell beako goodnight this time... Everytime we saw each we just insulted each other.

My eyes were began closing as I was about to falling a sleep.

Darkness.....

And suddenly I woke up and jumped out off the chair as I felt weird.

Everything was fussy and weird.

I slowly felt strength leaving my body as I fell to my knees.

Subaru: "No... Could this be..." I wasn't able to complete my sentence as I puked.

I leaned on the walls and managed to get out of the room And started walking in the hallway But I kept puking.

Subaru: "...Someone..."

I crawled on the stairs and puked started puking again.

Subaru: "...Someone....Help."

I tried to hold my puking and managed to get on top starts. But I couldn't hold the puke in anymore

As I managed to lean on the walls hallway. I heard something.

*Chain noises*

Subaru:"Chains?"

And suddenly something hit me and I was thrown across the hallway. And fell to the ground.

I felt so much pain coming from the left side of my body.

I looked at my injure but noticed I lost my whole arm.

As I was in the floor I heard something move above me.

I looked up.

And I saw.

My left arm was resting in the chandelier.

I scream in agony.

The hallway was covered in blood.

My blood.

I managed to keep one of my eyes open as I saw in the distance. A big shadowy figure.

Subaru:"....Y/N?..."

And suddenly.

*Chain noises*

Darkness......

Sorry it took me a while to get this chapter out.

But how do you guys like it?

Also I will be working on another story after arc 2 of this story.
