___________________________________________________ A.N:- Hey oranges!!! YAS FINALLY AN UPDATE AMIRITE Nobody told me any changes I make to published chapters would be announced on everyone's notification feed THIS IS SO EMBARRASSING-
Anyways, one major change I made was that the compensation Daliah has to pay is now โฌ100,000 instead of โฌ300,000 cuz *snorts* that's wayyy too crazy.
Euro isn't the currency of my country so I honestly have no idea what I am doing.....any help is much appreciated :3
Also, I'm running out of things to say for my author's notes and not many people read it anyway, so from now on I won't be writing them unless I need to talk to you guys about something, which i hope is okay?
Another thing, POVs will keep switching a lot in a single chapter because that was the only way I could finish them.
Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy this chapter, please vote if you do and feel free to comment your thoughts about anything, i make sure to read all of them :)))

Daliah's POV
"Ugh.."
Waking up is not fun. As soon as I opened my eyes, my current situation hit me with plenty of questions. What if Dimitri comes home early? What if Enzo decides to call the cops anyway? What if he sells drugs to little children?
'Where did THAT come from-?'
My thoughts swam around my head in a confusing pattern and I walked inside the washroom to wash my face so I feel a little more oriented.
After I was done getting ready, reapplying the medicine on my wounds and made my bed, I walked outside the room to eat something.
Nearing the kitchen, I heard noises of spoons and plates and peeked inside to find Enzo sitting on a stool next to the island, eating the breakfast I made him and wearing fresh clothes. I guess he read the note I left for him when I went in his room to retrieve my phone last night.
He looked up as I shuffled inside and I offered a meek 'good morning', to which he simply nodded. It was really awkward as I made my breakfast without us saying anything. I was feeling tired so I just made some ready-to-eat ramen.
After a few moments of me slurping my noodles and him eating, I finally spoke up. "So uh....when can we go to the store to get some clothes for you?" He paused and said, "As soon as you're done eating." I nodded and tried to eat quicker, not wanting to keep him waiting for long.
After I was done I washed the dishes, grabbed my wallet, helmet and keys and headed out with Enzo.

Placing all the bags on the couch, I plopped down on the armchair and Enzo did the same on the other one. "I hope you got everything you need?" I asked, praying he said yes because I ain't doing shopping like that again. He nodded and I sighed, slumping down on the seat.
I grabbed my phone and scrolled through the document I had made, reading it loud enough for him to hear me.
Clothing Costs - โฌ700 Phone - โฌ500 Other Stuff - โฌ100 Remaining Debt ---> โฌ68,700
I sighed heavily..so much left to pay off. I tried ignoring the negative thoughts and realised that I still had to show Enzo the shed I had cleaned. I got up from the chair motioning for him to get up as well and made my way to his new room, stepping aside so he could open the door and see everything for himself.
Enzo looked around, his eyes brushing over everything - the king-sized bed with dark blue sheets on it, the blue-grey curtains, white carpet, beige dressing table with a full-body length mirror beside it and everything else present in the room. He limped over to the medium-sized mahogany desk with a black office chair behind it and two drawers on either side.
While I was at it, I had to clean the washroom as well. It had navy blue marble walls and a white marble floor, with a shower, toilet and wash basin in it.
Enzo walked over to me inspecting everything one last time as I looked at him expectantly. "It's fine." he said curtly and I internally sighed in relief. His stuff can be set in here later; I was already getting a headache.
"I...guess I'll leave now." Slowly I turned to leave, but as soon as I made my first step, my head throbbed painfully. I stumbled and gripped my temple, my other hand blindly looking for anything to hold for support. It brushed something soft, and I grabbed it firmly.
A loud hiss resonated directly beside my ringing ears and I snapped my eyes open as something tightly grasped my wrist, releasing my hold. My blood ran cold as I realised that, in my blind search, I had clutched Enzo's hair and pulled his head, so it was now mere centimeters from my face.
A horrified gasp left my lips and I wrenched my wrist from his fingers, taking a large step back. "I-I-I'm so sorry I didn't see w-what-" I stuttered pathetically, fear of what he would do flashing in my eyes. Enzo raised his hand slightly, making my whole body flinch. The hand was instantly lowered and he said something I hadn't expected at all.
"Are you..ok?" he spoke in a soft voice.
I blinked once. Twice. Three times before nodding even though I was far from it. I stared at him for a moment, my mind blank. His lips parted as if to say something but before a word could pass, I murmured an 'I'm okay' and quickly left the shed, closing the door behind me.
I ran into the washroom once I was inside the house and splashed my face with ice cold water. Placing my hands of the edges of the sink, I stared at my reflection in the mirror. My eyes traced the curve of my cheekbone down to my lips and fell to the sink with a drop of water.
Sighing, I dragged my hand down my face. This was not good. I can't be having headaches around Enzo. Next thing you know I might faint in front of him. This....showing him my weaknesses could lead to a lot of trouble for me.
And trouble was the last thing I needed...
Dante's POV
The door to my room opened and Daliah's face peeked inside. "It's time for dinner." she said and I got up and followed her to the kitchen. As soon as I walked inside, I was greeted with the warm aroma of something definitely good.
Hey, I'm Italian and we know our stuff when it comes to food.
Limping into the kitchen, I glanced at the table to find spaghetti with meatballs in a wooden pot. A bowl of reddish-brown gravy was filled in a container beside it. It looked and smelled really good. I wasn't gonna deny that I was excited to eat dinner. I sat down on the chair and Daliah used a pair of tongs to pile the spaghetti on my plate.
The long, thick noodles curled up and fell in a way that automatically made space for the meatballs. She poured some gravy on top with a ladle and the thick mixture dribbled down the contents in the plate as if trying to coat each and every item with spicy goodness.
My tongue unconsciously licked my lips.

Daliah's POV
I internally smiled as Enzo practically inhaled the food, his eyes closed in bliss. My mother taught me this recipe, and it has always been my favourite comfort food since shit went down.
Sliding my chair back, I picked up both our plates along with the pots in which dinner was served and went towards the sink to wash them.
I thought Enzo had left before he cleared his throat. I paused and turned towards him, already finding his caramel eyes on me.
"Thanks for dinner. It uh," he mumbled before breaking eye contact. "It was great."
I blinked in bewilderment. "Um..no problem. Glad you liked it." A soft smile graced my lips and a twinge of warmth touched my chest before disappearing. He nodded before whispering, "Good night Daliah." And walking out of the kitchen.
Wordlessly, I started washing the dishes but the smile didn't leave my lips anytime soon. It felt good to be appreciated for once even if for something so simple. I felt like my efforts were acknowledged. One thing thing was clear to me now...
Enzo definitely does not sell drugs to little kids.
