~~~~~~~~{ [ Chapter 9 ] }~~~~~~~~
Akira was surprised at the sudden embrace from his father. He wasn't sure how to react as he was still trying to process the events of the night. Hades pulled away and looked down at his son with concern in his eyes.
"Where have you been, Akira? We were worried sick," Hades said, his voice low and serious.
Akira hesitated before answering, not wanting to get into any trouble. "I was just out with a friend," he replied stiffly.
Hades barely raised an eyebrow at the word 'friend.'
"What friend?" he asked, his tone still serious.
Akira hesitated again, not sure if he should reveal anything. But something in his Hades eyes made him feel like he could trust him.... now.
"A guy I met earlier today. We were just hanging out, nothing more," Akira explained with a soft tone.
Hades nodded, but his expression didn't soften. "You need to be careful about who you associate with. We don't know anything about this person," he said sternly.
Akira felt a pang of guilt in his chest. He knew he should have been more careful, but he couldn't help feeling drawn to Dion.
But, it's not like they'll meet again. He need to forget the man.
"I know, father. I'll be more careful," Akira promised.
Hades sighed and ruffled his son's hair gently. "Good. We just want to keep you safe," he said, his tone softening slightly.
Akira smiled weakly, feeling a mixture of emotions. He was glad that his new family cared about him, but at the same time, he couldn't help feeling trapped.
He is not the real Akira, He is just a lost soul that possessed this body. A transmigrator.
The one who were supposed to receive this treatment is the real son, not him.
Akira felt his heart tighten.
He glanced up at the three and said his goodnights, retreating to his room afterwards.
As he lay in bed, he couldn't stop thinking about Dion and the Argyros Family.
Akira closed his eyes and let out a deep sigh. He couldn't help feeling like everything that was happening are deviating from his original plan.
His plan of leaving the family and living in a faraway place seems to be slipping away from his eyes.
----
The next day, Akira found himself standing in front of the transfer student's house, the one his grandfather- the headmaster had asked him to welcome and take care of.
He looked up at the house and examined it carefully. The transfer student he is supposed to meet seemed to be a commoner seeing his home is located in the commoner outskirts.
However, even though it's located here in the outskirts of the commoner area, the house was a modest but charming home built in a classic European style. The house was made out of red brick and featured a sloping roof clad in traditional grey tiles. Two chimneys protruded from the roof, each one giving off the occasional wisp of smoke from the fireplace downstairs.
The front of the house boasted a small garden that was neatly tended to by the owners. A white picket fence surrounded the property and a pathway made out of cobblestones led to the front door. The exterior walls of the house were adorned with climbing vines, which added a touch of natural beauty to the home.
Akira finally relaxed. He really didn't care if the transferee is a commoner or a noble.
But, remembering how his grandfather happily mentioned the transferee to him, the old man seem to greatly respect the transferee despite his commoner status.
Akira sighed softly. He looked around for a bit before knocking on the door, not sure what to expect.
But when the door opened, as if the world decided to make this scene out of a movie, the time eventually slowed.
Akira's eyes dilated in surprise.
Not because of the familiarity of the person now standing in front of him but because of its shirtless appearance.
The chiseled chest and rippling abs are now glistening in the sunlight.
Akira's heart skipped a beat as he took in the sight before him. He had never seen such a perfectly sculpted body in his life. The person's muscles were so defined, it was as if he had been chiseled from stone.
Akira, realizing that he had been staring at the other, tried to regain his composure.
When it seemed like Dion finally realized and recognized him, Akira could clearly see the changes in Dion's eyes and expression.
"Aki!" "I didn't expect to see you here," Dion exclaimed, his eyes twinkling with excitement, but a barely visible glint of unknown emotion flickered from them.
Akira's lips twitched slightly. Is it just him, or does he really feel that something was off with Dion's reaction?
He grinned back, putting aside his uncertainty.
"What a coincidence!" "I also wasn't expecting to see you."
"Really? " "But how did you find out about this place?"
"Won't you let me in?"
Akira grinned carelessly. eyes struggling mightily not to cast a quick glimpse at Dion's exposed breast.
"Oh, right. Please come inside. " I'm sorry, my house is a little bit small and messy." "I wasn't expecting a guest, but if I knew you'd come around, I—"
"It's okay. It was my fault for coming without telling you in advance," Akira said, interrupting Dion.
"And I don't really mind." he continued.
He invited himself in and followed Dion. Then he sat down on the chair, Dion offered.
He was astounded by the place's interior design as he looked around the living area. Dion, who was still in front of him and still half-naked, caught his attention as he grimaced subtly.
Sensing Akira's discomfort, Dion wanted to inquire about it because he could tell that Akira was really feeling uncomfortable, but when he noticed that Akira avoided looking at him and instead focused on his exposed upper body, he ostentatiously smiled and giggled.
He sprang to his feet in front of Akira and exclaimed, "Aki!"
He quickly seized Akira's hands and gently squeezed them without waiting for a chance.
Akira questioned, "W. What are you doing?" His expression had confusion written all over it. like an uncertain kitten.
Dion struggled to contain his smile as it expanded across his attractive face, failing to do so.
"Why are you smiling?"
"I'm not"
"You are. And please wear some shirts." You're blinding my eyes.
Akira looked away, feeling flustered.
The unspoken words clearly reached Dion. Once they did, the smile never left his face.
"Aki, I'm happy to be able to see you again."
"Well, aren't you curious as to why I am here?"
Akira crossed his arms and looked at Dion directly. Dion's eyes once again dilated in some unknown manner, earning a frown from Akira, who was looking at them closely.
"I am curious, but we have all day to talk about it." "Why don't we have some fun?"
Dion offered with a grin that was about to reach his ears. Akira felt the shivers on the back of his neck and tilted his head in puzzlement.
"What do you mean by that?"
"Hn?" "When I say fun, this is what I mean."
Dion has steadily and slowly come closer to Akira.
Slowly until their faces were almost touching each other.
