Once Ayato had the video of Oko posted on the internet and the belief he had murdered a bird for his ritual was enough to send him spiralling down into a pit of pure trouble. Oko was in the center of a hurricane and all eyes were on him, he was stuck in the guidance counselor's office.

He's sure Y/n would stay well away from him and she had the choice to prosecute him and the Basu sister's could charge him as well for stalking charges. Their choices have not been announced yet but that didn't mean Oko was safe.

The next day, Ayato made sure he woke up bright and early to meet Oko at school, so it would be just the two of them in the occult room. Oko normally arrived at school a bit early to get everything ready in his club ; he jumped at the sight of Ayato in the doorway.

He was stunned and didn't know what to say to Ayato as he was Y/n's friend and it had been exposed to the whole school that he was stalking her. He didn't say anything and a thick silence filled the room, the way Ayato stared at him gave of a bad aura, a dangerous one.

His eyes were blank filled with not even a spark of life, it was as if he was dead, he never noticed till right now. Oko's heart sank and he watched as Ayato slide the door shut, never once breaking eye contact, that suffocating aura made his eyes widen.

It reminded him of the stories his parents use to tell him and now he was the one encountering a demon, "You can't be here... your aura is too dark...you will attract evil spirits... I'm sorry... please leave..." Oko managed to say, Ayato walked around the ritual circle, in a curve and Oko instinctually stepped back so the skull with a knife stabbed into it were between them.

Ayato didn't say anything for the moment, but the day was gloomy and horrible, the paters of rain on the window filled the silence, "I knew you were nothing good from the start." Ayato begins and his hand lays rest beside the skull, "Y/n needs someone she can trust and that someone isn't you... Following her? And making her think you were someone she could trust, don't you feel ashamed?" Ayato asks, cutting Oko down from the root, his grip tightens on the book in his hand.

"I did tell her about you... And of course you proved me right. Don't you think she deserves better? Someone who will be by her side and embrace her, something you can't do." Ayato continues, stalking towards him and Oko steps back.

"She shouldn't have to settle for less, that's quite selfish of you Oko but you are quite selfish." Ayato spat and Oko recoiled, a twist in his stomach made him feel sick, hearing how he's been treating Y/n, Ayato's right... He is selfish.

"I see the way you study her, thinking she's all yours. It's disgusting how you think so little of someone so perfect, satisfying your own needs. You're pathetic in every sense of the word, you'd grovel at her feet like a dog if she asked."

"You should make it up to her, why should she have to deal with you? Doesn't that make you feel guilty, constantly dragging her down for you?" Ayato picks at all his visible insecurities and he tilts his head to the side, grinning a wicked smile."Do you apologies for all that you've done to Y/n, by cutting yourself?" Ayato laughs, right in Oko's face and it's middle school all over again. Oko's already pale complexion gets even paler, his words die in his throat and it suddenly feels as dry and as hot as the Sahara desert at the same time. How could someone be so insensitive and smile like it was nothing?

Smiling, as he squished him like a bug under his feet.

Ayato forcefully pulled his sleeves up to reveal, scar lines going from one end to the other on his wrist.

"Some of these are new, aren't they?" Ayato refers to the slits on his wrist, he stares into Oko's eyes as Oko's eyes are filled to the brim with tears ready to run down his face. "Why not just end it and spare Y/n having to deal with you."

Oko's eyes widen and he conceals his wrist immediately, Ayato grabs his wrist staring him dead in the eyes, "Y/n would never want a worthless scumbag like you, there is a reason you chase ghosts after all... Gossip has ruined everything for you once... I wonder if it will a second time, will you survive it?"

Oko struggles to break free off Ayato's grasp and he tries ripping his hand free with his other one, only to see Ayato pull out a sliver knife.

"Sh, don't you want Y/n to be happy?" Ayato persists, as his grip tightens to the point it feels like blood isn't circulating to Oko's hand. "Use your words Oko, for once in your life. You're quiet you'd much rather watch Y/n from a distance, isn't it?" Ayato laughs coldly, seemingly staring in Oko's soul. "I..." Oko can't even form a sentence, fear is the only thing keeping him standing, Ayato's right, he is a disgusting creep.

"You'd live for her and you'll die for her." Ayato's whispers in a sadistic and taunting manor, making Oko's breath hitch. Oko's heart is beating so fast to the point he can hear is pulsing in his chest, he can feel the adrenaline rushing through his body yet instead of the typical two fight or flight he freezes.

Ayato's gaze lands on a candle, with a flame dancing on top ; a sick and twisted idea hatches in his mind.

Ayato pulls Oko's bare arm over the candle and the flames lick Oko's arm making him want to scream the longer it was forced there. Ayato covered his mouth, and held his arm as it twitched trying to break free. His skin felt as if it was melting off the bone, tears were in the corner of his eyes threatening to stream down.

Painful seconds went by and the pain worsened with each one that went by.

Ayato let go and Oko screamed in pain, his skin was peeling and it was a blistery red, his skin was damp with sweat as he bit into his lips, hard enough to have broken skin.

Ayato just stared down at him, as his arm twitched in pain as he grunted, clearly trying to distract himself from the pain.

Oko could see that wide smile on his face, he is a demon, enjoying his pain.

He fell to the floor, grabbing his arm so hard it looked like he was stopping the circulation in his arm.

Oko looked up at him with pleading eyes, filled to the brim with water, streaming down his face, Ayato picked up the candle and grabbed his arm. The burn was hard to look at and it needed some medical attention but Ayato is going to make sure it scars.

Oko seemingly knowing what he's about to do, tries to free himself, only to receive hot melted wax dripping onto already peeling skin. Ayato covers his mouth with one hand, and he feels his tears drip onto his hand.

"Now do you understand? Stay. Away. From. Her."

He's now on the floor barely managing not to scream, his breathing raspy and deep. Ayato knelt down to his side grabbing his hair by the roots, "You'll wish you'd never laid one glance at her." Ayato spoke dropping his head so it landed with a thud on the floor.

It was around this time students had began to walk up to the gates, Y/n was amongst them, he blushed thinking of her, how she walked... Or even how she moved.

His blush faded when he turned back to the crawling Oko on the floor, he won't tell a soul, he's too much of a coward.

His promise to Oko was definitely kept, Ayato didn't even have to lay another finger on him.

There were gasps from students as someone began to speak on the radio in a distorted voice, "Do you want to know the truth about Oko Ruto? The infamous stalker, murderer and creep. Pictures were found on his phone off multiple females pants. It is clear no one is safe while Oko is around, even going as far to stalk the Basu sisters and his crush, Y/n Ronshaku on multiple occasions and has used a crow for sacrificial purposes." The voice spoke, a daunting silence followed and Oko had just managed to get out of his club room too see eyes glued to his every move.

Y/n gets a notification from Ayato.

Ayato is annoying I told you, he's nothing but trouble

Y/n I'm going to go talk to him

Ayato is annoying Well don't leave him hanging then, I'll come with you

Teacher's arrived taking him away and Oko could only see Y/n shaking her head in disappointment. Even at lunch, Oko bumped into one of the delinquents and they immediately drew out their bat and stood in a fighting stance

One.

Two.

Three.

A fist collided with a face and a crack was heard.

Thick blood red liquid dripped like a tap down his nose, dropping onto the grass in splatters.

Thud.

His left eye had been struck with a hard punch, and the area around it had began to bruise, the chants of the other delinquents fueled the blonde boy's aggression.

He went for a kick this time and the air was knocked out his lungs, Oko held his stomach in pain as another punch was inflicted to his temple, knocking him down.

The whole world was ringing and it felt as if he was underwater, he could barely make out the delinquents laughter and his ears felt blocked. He barely got up and walked in a zig-zag, stumbling side to side in a dazed state. He could barely tell what was going on and he collapsed.

Everything went black.

As his eyes opened and shut he saw Ayato in the corner off the room with his finger to his lip, signalling silence. He opened his eyes more to see Y/n, she truly has casted a strong hex on him as his face felt warm and he felt ecstatic, despite the pain he was in.

"Oko, tell me, was everything that person said true?" She asks, her eyes met his, his don't meet hers but his eyes certainly meet Ayato's, who would definitely find something in this room to torture him with.

His words ran through his head, and the words of others stuck to his brain.

She shouldn't have to settle for less, that's quite selfish of you Oko.

Don't you think she deserves better?

Creep.

Someone who will be by her side and embrace her, something you can't do.

And making her think you were someone she could trust, don't you feel ashamed?

Weirdo.

Why not just end it and spare Y/n having to deal with you.

Maybe you should dive off the roof.

Why not just end it.

Just end it.

End it.

"Oko?" Y/n snapped her fingers in front of his face with a hint of worry on her face, "Ayato it's fine, I can talk to him by myself."

"Last time you were around him you saw a dead bird, he's clearly psychotic." Ayato protests but Y/n is not having it.

"Thanks for your concern but I can look after myself."

Ayato scoffs and spares Oko threatening glance.

"Who did this." Y/n points to the burn on his arm, "I-I." Oko stuttered, he couldn't even form a sentence out of pure fear of Ayato coming back in.

"You encountered the murderer, tell me who it is. Are they forcing you to be silent? No worries write it down on a pen and paper-" Y/n is cut of by Ayato re-entering and she notices how tightly Oko grabs onto the sheet, almost as of he was tense or scared.

That look on Ayato's eyes made Y/n shiver, it was no longer blank it was filled with hatred, a fire burned bright in his eyes and Y/n had never seen this side of him.

His look softened when him and her eyes met, she pulled away, afraid of the person who was starting to come out.

He noticed her fear, her hesitation, she knew deep down. Her heart refused to admit it, while her mind knew the truth.

They were at a stalemate.

She told Ayato to let Oko rest, not wanting to leave the two alone and she sat underneath the shade of the cherry tree, the sun shone down onto Akademi since it was the beginning of summer.

Soon, it would be the holidays and she'd receive a well deserved break, her legs were crossed and her hands glided over the blades of grass pointing up to the light pink petals.

Review time.

She had a witness with key evidence, alive and she'd have to push the stalking thing to the side as he was too important to let go.

So who was the murderer?

(You know who it is.)

The murderer must of made some appearance but in a non-lethal way with Osana, as her sister Musume had been contacted by an unknown number, shortly after she posted the video.

Looking into to the number on her phone, there were no links back to any other device as she asked the gaming club leader to do it for her, meaning either the murder used Info-chan to block it and they also had Info-chan's help.

She also discovers she can not ask Info-chan as much information as she would like on her other customers but it doesn't stop her from getting a rough idea of a list. The day Osana's secrets were also exposed, a few students had come to class late or didn't show up at all.

This list including: Delinquents Ayato Horuda Puresu The bullies Saki (due to carrying ingredients) Kokona (busy cleaning up the drama room) Midori Gurinu And some other people who were proven innocent

She also walked around the perimeter and saw the delinquents, some martial arts students and people walking by including Horuda Puresu, a girl with straight black hair and was also late to class.

When interviewed she seemed to withhold information and she seemed to grow aggravated till she was free to go.

Saki also has told me that she's sure she saw Ayato swap the baking powder with something, but she's not to sure.

Kokona also saw Ayato in town with Amao when he was last seen.

This crosses the delinquents off, Midori, Hordura and the bullies off, except Musume.

A common theme in people's statements were the involvement of Musume. Possibly, she could be facing blackmail but it has not been confirmed as she has constantly been involved in some way.

She also recalls the conversations she's seen between Musume and Ayato, whether text or in person.

Ayato also was not present when Kizano was crushed by the weight.

Rotting smell in house was present after Amao's disappearance.

Oko looks scared for his life when he's around Ayato as well.

The evidence is practically stacking up against him, even when he was interviewed by Frueddo no one could back him up except Hodura.

It has to be him.

The facts don't, lie.

There's a side of him she's going to eventually meet whether she likes it or not.

Killer is in his blood, his mum was charged with the death off ten females, she might have been prove innocent but she doesn't believe that for a second.

It seemed she couldn't trust anyone and the feeling of vomiting increased the more she thought about it.

She ripped the petals off one by one off a daisy as she thought, she sighed throwing the stem away and she placed her hand down by her side.

A hand was placed on top of hers and she jumped.

It was Kokona.

Well here was one person she could trust.

"Kokona! You scared me." Y/n gasped, punching her shoulder softly, Kokona smiled.

"I simply gave you payback, remember?" Kokona smirked and Y/n sighed that Kokona still remembered what happened ages ago.

"You still remember that? I'm not surprised."

"Hey! What's that supposed to mean?" Kokona asked shuffling closer to her till they were shoulder to shoulder.

Y/n simply smiled, and kokona smiled back, the petals fell on top of the two as the tree rustled gently, in the breeze.

"Let's make a promise, Y/n to stay by eachothers side forever." Kokona spoke, raising her pinkie with her eyebrows raised, she gave her the exact look she did in middle school and Y/n pulled out her pinkie and they shook on it.

"Never change Kokona. Your the best." Y/n laughed and the two sat in a comfortable silence watching the sports members run track.
