Y/n's eyelids flutter open, her vision is obscured by a blindfold but after rubbing her face against her shoulder a few times it came loose, falling down to her neck. Her body is sore and the ropes feel like their restricting blood circulation, making it hard for blood to flow throughout her entire body. Her headache is pounding and she feels dried blood on her head, her eyes are forced to adjust to the darkness off the room.
The atmosphere in the is very dark, from what she can see the ground is extremely worn-out. The walls have exposed water pipes attached to them, she also noticed the simple old wooden ladder. The lamp above her clearly does not produce light anymore and the sight off two steel bed frames and two new chairs make her stomach turn. She sees two random poles as well but she's more focused on the various tools to the far right of the room, which are: brooms, shovels, a big bike's wheel, another ladder, a radio, a few boxes, and some books sitting on a wooden shelf. There's also two long lamps, that don't work and a stool with a book on top and an antique coal boiler.
She can barely even wriggle in these ropes, that bound her tightly to this chair. That's right... That building, Ayato, Budo and the injection. From the looks of things, she's in a basement and the only light source in the room is from an old box shaped TV you'd have back in her father's time. It was showing her the court trial, what the hell did he do to Saki! Saki still hasn't shown up. She struggles in the ropes tight hold, she's forced to stare at the this screen and she can see Ayato and Horuda awaiting for Saki to arrive.
Y/n can feel her skin covered in a cold sweat, she felt even more nervous and scared than she already is. He's finally kidnapped her and now once this court case is over, he's going to dispose of the wannabe 'detective' for good. You know what? There's no time for her to be moping about in self hatred, now is the perfect chance to escape while she can see where he is on the TV. The question is how she's going to manage to pull this off...
She's broken away from her thoughts to the sound of gasps and a bunch of people shifting in their seats to face the now opened door. Y/n's mouth was wide open, tears streamed down her face, at least one thing in this miserable world is still with her, Saki. With burn marks? What did he do to her? "I'm sorry, Saki." Y/n whispers, knowing she may never see her best friend ever again. She can't give up.
Saki walks to her stand, in the court room, "Thank you for waiting." She begins, everyone in the room is focused on those burns covering her left arm, mainly. "This trial is now in session, this case is about the disappearance of Odayaka Amao and Y/n and the homicide of Sunobu Kizano, Dinkuri Beruma, Jonzu Frueddo, Rito Aso, Moimoro Kokoro and Rana Mido along with the manslaughter of Rito Oko and Haruka Kokona." The judge starts, looking at the defendant and plaintiff, "Do you Aishi Ayato, swear to say the truth and nothing but the truth?"
"I do solemnly, sincerely and truly declare and affirm that the evidence I shall give shall be the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth." He answers swiftly, looking straight ahead and not cracking under pressure like Saki is, who's already sweating and she hasn't even been asked anything yet. "Do you Miyu Saki, swear to say the truth and nothing but the truth?" The judge questions.
"I-I do solemnly, sincerely and truly declare and affirm that the evidence I shall give shall be the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth." Saki answers, she feels the ice breaking underneath her and she's so nervous, why couldn't Y/n be with her right now? "Could you briefly describe the incidents in a timeline, for the court?" The judge asks, staring Saki right into her eyes.
"Osano was the first incident-" Saki is cut off by the judge interrupting her.
"From my knowledge, the incident you are discussing now has not been acknowledged on your submission form. Therefore, it is overruled." The judge declared, Saki coughs to clear up the croaks in her throat and it feels so dry. She starts by saying, "Amao was Y/n's childhood friend and this happened around eight weeks ago, Ayato recently came to the cooking club, Amao was the leader. We where holding a bake sale at school yet incidences off food poisoning throughout the school happened once Ayato came-"
"Relevance to the case?" The judge quieres, Saki is so terrified of speaking about this and this judge is not helping her at all. "I believe Ayato is the cause and the reason why Amao is missing." Saki explains, the judge raises their eyebrow at her and she feels small in comparison to the confidence radiating off Ayato. "Evidence is required for me to charge the defendant with a count of murder, through physical or medical evidence, which you barely have." The judge responds, Saki sighs, she didn't know judges were this condescending and so insensitive. This isn't turning out as great as she planned.
Meanwhile, she notices Ayato with a file on his stand and she visibly gulps, "In your testimony, you state that Mr Aishi is the cause of 50kg weight crushing Mr Sunobu during a Romeo and Juliet performance. Did you notice any discussion between Mr Aishi and Mr Sunobu on the day off the incident or in the past?" The judge asks, Saki straightens up her posture and the burn marks on her arm itch in pain. "No, I have not but Y/n could have-" Saki is stopped by the judge.
"Miss Ronshaku is not present, therefore you can not speak on her behalf." The judge says, "Will the defendant please display his evidence?"
Ayato opens his file, Saki has zero idea on what it could be about, "The stage has a fly system enables the drama club members to quickly and quietly pull curtains, turn lights on and off, do a change of scenery or even do stage effects. Unfortunately, the system was faulty, as shown by these files and it infact came loose unfortunately falling onto Mr Sunobu." He says calmly, with a straight demeanour and... Extremely prepared expression. Ayato got Info-chan to alter some files to work in his advantage. The judge looks over the diagram and the statement, they confirm and looks to Saki to continue.
"On the day of his death, the photography club caught a picture of Horuda holding the same mask Y/n's camera caught as she was taking photos." Saki starts, taking out the picture of Horuda holding the mask, "The mask went missing afterwards and was spotted on the killer later on. This is shown by a second photo." Saki takes the image out and it is looked over by the judge. "Has Miss Ronshaku taken any form of medicine, Mr Aishi?" The judge turns to Ayato briefly.
"No your honour, not around the time of Mr Sunobu's death." Ayato answers suddenly, the judge takes this into consideration.
"Have you witnessed Mr Ruto being bullied?" Saki has to pause and think. "I was their when Oko's dark secrets were revealed to the entire school. Kokoro recorded and posted it." Saki presses play on her phone, "Do you want to know the truth about Oko Ruto? The infamous stalker, murderer and creep. Pictures were found on his phone off multiple females panties. It is clear no one is safe while Oko is around. Even going as far to stalk the Basu sisters and his crush, Y/n Ronshaku on multiple occasions. He has used a crow for sacrificial purposes, it was found in the occult club."
"What was his cause off death?" The judge asks, Saki drinks the glass off water that has been provided for both her and Ayato. "Suicide, the person logged into a Akademi computer, with the email Akademi_123, which is the same person who recorded Osano getting rejected." Saki answers, her throat feels like it's tightening and the seconds feel like hours, while they pass by. After a few questions, and answers Saki talks about the tape Y/n found.
"Y/n informed me off a tape she received from an unknown source threatening her to stop looking into these deaths." Saki barely has any evidence, as she's been in hospital and she only just remembered she had to go to the trial. Y/n had most off the evidence, Kokona is dead and she has a feeling this judge strongly dislikes her.
The tape is played, with the same distorted voice as the one for Oko and Saki also presents the note Y/n found in her locker, "This note was left in her locker along with golden pins in her shoes and I believe Horuda is Ayato's accomplice in this all." Saki speaks, murmurs are heard throughout the courtroom and the judge bangs their hammer down, silencing the people in the well off the courtroom, "I've managed to get a copy of Horuda's hand writing, since I believe she is the person who wrote it."
"The note and her hand writing has been analyzed and it does in fact match. This will be taken into consideration for my verdict." The judge looks at Horuda, who is Ayato's witness yet he remains unfazed to this information. This was his plan after all, Horuda was only his 'accomplice' so he could pin all the blame on her."What's your relationship with Miss Ronshaku and has there been a change in her behaviour?"
"I consider Y/n to be a dear friend of mine, we've been friends ever since we did a partner project together." Ayato says, "She's been going through some tough times, due to the loss off her childhood friend Odayaka Amao. She had to start using pills, which were anti-depressants and also antipsychotic medications. She got into a fight with Beruma, as she was blamed for the deaths at school and she was feared in the school since student's believed she was a killer."
"Do you think her environment worsened her mental state?"
"I wouldn't want to sound rude but her friends put thoughts in her head and often conspired against me-" Ayato is cut off by Saki, she can't keep quiet after hearing him lie like that! "How dare you say that! We all knew that you were nothing but a snake trying to wrap her into your lies! She saw you as a friend and you followed her onto the way to the airport; you've probably killed her by now!" Saki shouts, turning to face him while he doesn't acknowledge her existence at all, he stays facing forward with a blank looking expression as she shouts.
"Don't discuss the case. You can proceed Mr Aishi." The judge silenced Saki, she hopes that outburst she just had didn't effect the case...
She feels like her knees are about to give way, Ayato weaved his way around her evidence and whatever she could come up with and she was left a complete mess. Her foot tapped against the floor, she wants to cry so badly, she wants to sink into the floor and apologies to Y/n for the last time. Y/n... She's dead somewhere and Saki can't do this, she can't without her two best friends by her side. The only time Ayato looks at her is to send her a harsh glare, when she discussed him being at the scene where Musume was killed.
Horuda was called to the stand, still defending Ayato like a fool, so oblivious to the obvious hole he was digging her in to save himself. "Do any of you wish to say anything before the sentence is imposed?" The judge questions, Saki wants to scream and cry, she shakes her head but of course he wants the last laugh so he has to say something, "I'm sure justice will be served." He says with a smile, tilting his head and looking at Saki with a darkened stare, that only she seems to notice.
Everyone is at the edge of their seat, awaiting this verdict, the families off all the victims have been patient to hear this as well. The police officer's at the station watch with an eagerness for the decision, "Look, there's Ayato darling!" Ryoba says, just tuning in to this courtcase that has been milked as much as possible, being placed on newspapers and the news itself. Jokichi watches alongside his wife and he doesn't know what answer he's rooting for, he loves his son but he can't go unpunished if he has in fact committed these crimes.
"Ain't it coincidental that Ryoba Aishi was put on trial for something similar and this boy is getting accused off the same thing?" A police officer chokes out through the pieces off a donut in his mouth. "I just hope the police station doesn't get backlash from this again... I don't think we can handle it a second time." The chief says, he places a hand on Kenjo's shoulder, "I'm sorry, Kenjo. You've arrived late to watch the trial but apparently Y/n has gone missing." "What? She has? We were just talking the other day and now she's gone..." Kenjo says sadly, he feels horrible that she couldn't off left the country in peace, he feels sorry for her father, he's lost two children.
"Hopefully, that Aishi is locked behind bars." Kencho says, fixing his tie while staring into the mirror. His mother fixes a stray strand, sticking out off his slicked back hair and tucks it in, "I'm sure the Judge will decide what verdict they deem suitable." His mother sighs, the Saikou's have mutually agreed to keep the fact that Megamo has been put into a coma due to a car accident on the down low. They simply have had no time to waste on the Aishi's as Mr Saikou has to mold Kencho into the perfect heir for the Saikou corp.
"Ayato Aishi is innocent of all charges." The judge declared, "Miss Puresu will be taken into police custody."
Saki could barely processes the words she just heard, she heard Horuda yelling, "How could you do this to me!" Saki turned to face the pair and Horuda's face was red with rage, she began to push Ayato and he just let it happen, he knew this just made Horuda look even more guilty, "I trusted you! I should off know you were too good to be true, Y/n was right-" She's cut off by a police officer on the sidelines off the courtroom cuffing her with handcuffs and pulling her away from Ayato. "Please move away from him ma'am. You are making this more difficult for yourself." The officer spoke, Horuda shook like a wild rabid animal ready to bite any unsuspecting victim, "What's this in your pocket? Narcotics?" The police officer stares at the little zip lock bag that just fell out of her pocket.
"That's not mine! That's not mine!" She screams, like an old broken record, Saki watches this all unfold in front of her and she's frozen in fear like a statue, she sees the police taking away the wrong person. It should be Ayato as well, not just her!
"No, no, no! He's taken Y/n somewhere, he killed them all and you're letting him get away with it!" Saki runs towards the judge's stand and is pulled back by a bailiff, she tries desperately to get out off his grasp to try convincing the judge to change their mind, "Please! Just listen to me!" Saki screams, the judge shakes their head. "My decision is final, exit the courtroom or you will be detained. Your evidence was flimsy. " The judge spoke coldly, despite the tears gushing down Saki's face. Her stomach was in a knot, a painful one. She let Y/n, Kokona and everyone else down...
She stops struggling I'm the bailiff's grasp, she's released and she sobs, she knows thousands of eyes are watching this entire trial ; all she cares about is the fact she let them all down. It was hard exiting the courtroom, she feels a heavy weight on her shoulders, maybe this is how Y/n always felt knowing there was a chance she couldn't find the murderer. She went through all that effort to get evidence and Saki knows she'd do it all over again... There Saki was sat in some alleyway as she broke down crying as she was too emotional to even move. She didn't notice the person at the entrance off the alleyway approaching her till she felt a huge chunk off her hair being grabbed.
She's forcefully raised out of her sitting position and slammed into the wall she was leaning on, she's released and slumps down onto the floor. A piercing pain is agonizing and fresh, she feels the blood dripping down her forehead like rain droplets, falling right onto her clothes. Her vision is doubled, blurry and spinning, with a head ache like no other. The person kneels down in front off her, grabbing her arm and pulling her sleeve up and she only noticed how dark the sky was when they forced her too look up at them, "My hand slipped there... Didn't mean to leave you this dizzy, Saki." He says in a dark tone, pulling something pit off his pocket. It's a lighter.
Her throat feels like it's restricting all oxygen from coming into her lungs and she feels like she's suffocating, her breaths are heavy and shaky as she stares at the flame, "You're scared off a little bit of fire? I wonder why... Would you like to tell me why or is your head still spinning?" He chuckles mockingly, moving the lighter side to side under her chin, making it dangerous close to touching her skin. Tears stream down her face, she's too weak to reply but it's not like he was actually asking, he knows why. "Let's play a game, hm? I'll call it... Lighter, lighter. I ask questions you reply with a nod or head shake, guess wrong and this lighter will come a little bit closer to your skin. If I win, I'll leave you a little message. If you win, well I'll leave you a shorter message. How's that sound?" He pulls the lighter away from her and holds it to his chest.
Saki doesn't nod nor shake her head.
"Let's start then, will you stop interfering with my love for Y/n?" He asks first, she shakes her head and the lighter moves closer to her, "Wrong answer Saki. Since, Y/n is safe with me you have four questions to answer including the one I just asked you so three left!" He says in a fake cheery tone, "Do you think you can protect Y/n like I can?" Saki nods, he speaks as if Y/n is alive and relatively okay so she assumes he hasn't done anything yet. There might be a chance for her to do something but she's not going to lie for his satisfaction, Y/n is her friend. She takes in a big gulp as the lighter moves closer towards her, "Wrong answer, you're really bad at this, aren't you?"
"Only half way now. Will you ever try finding Y/n?" He tilts his head, awaiting her answer. She was about to nod but she's sure this is a trap, her heads spinning a bit less and she has to try bolting it, "Too slow." The fire is so close to licking her skin, fear is the only thing keeping her in place, "I have read up on psychology, specifically humans responses to fear. You've heard of flight or fight, right? You haven't done either them so I suppose you just freeze, I'm sure this lighter will warm you right up." Ayato grins, he pulls out a cloth to use it as a gag, to muffle her screams. Tears fall like a waterfall down her face and he dabs the lighter over and over again onto her skin, leaving a pattern off burn marks, "If we ever cross paths again, I will kill you myself and make it look like an accident." He whispers, he pulls out a knife out of his pocket and he tauntingly moves the flat side across her arm.
He's holding her into place and he smiles, "Now, for the message. What about... I will never interact with Ayato or Y/n again for as long as I live?" He thinks about it and nods, he digs the sharp point into her skin and begins writing each letter painfully slow. He writes each word into her arm as he says it, along with a full stop at the end of the sentence, "I. Will. Never. Interact. With. Ayato. Or. Y/n. Again. For. As. Long. As. I. Live." Her arm pours out a staggering amount off blood, "I might have accidentally hit a vain. Joking, if I did burst your vein it was on purpose but I am sure you understand now and you will stay out of my way. I'd get that checked out if I were you. I didn't actually burst your vein, I'm keeping you alive so you can remember Y/n is mine." Ayato waves her a goodbye, "Before I go, it would be best if you kept this between us. If you don't I will find out and I will find you." He says one last time before exiting the alleyway.
Okay Y/n.
She has has limited resources and a short amount of time, she's been trying to get out of her ropes this entire time and it's just resulted in bruises. The door is probably locked and he has the key, if things couldn't get worse her arm is in so much pain from falling and landing on it when she was knocked out. Things are not looking so great for her, maybe it's best she gains his trust if he hasn't killed her yet the wack him with a shovel. Didn't he say his parent's where returning from their trip around this time, maybe she could make a lot of noise and they find her. Now that she's established that, she has to play the waiting game...
She looks at the TV momentarily hearing on national news, Amao's grandmother's has started a protest outside off the courthouse, along side the other victim's families. She smiles, Amao's grandmother really is a great woman, an inspiration.
She turns attention back to her choices.
Thing aren't looking too great for her, it's either Ayato gets bored of her and gets rid of her or she tries listening to whatever nonsense he's saying and eventually gets sick of her.
She believes he'll just get rid of her but why go through all this effort just to kill her in the end?
Click.
She hears the twists off a door nob and her heart begins to race, she shuts her eyes and pretends she hasn't woken up yet as the footsteps come closer, "I know you're awake Y/n, I watch you sleep after all so I can tell when you're faking it." Ayato spoke, kneeling down on his knees in front of her. She opens one eye and visibly recoils when she sees him before her, "Why would you go through all the trouble kidnapping me if you're just going to make me your next victim? You could off gotten the job done, inside the building." Y/n states, she knows she's not making it out of this so might as well pass the time by starting up a conversation with a murderer. She feels like one of those prisoners walking down the hallway to their impending doom, knowing they will be executed in the room ahead, "Victim? No, you've got it all wrong. I knew those 'friends' of your's are no good, filling your mind with all these bad thoughts..." Ayato moves closer to her, he strokes her cheek with a mad blush on his face.
Y/n tries not to lean away, she's not trying to tick him off or anything, "They knew as well as me that you were a murderer." She responded, Ayato shook his head placing a finger on her lips. "Your mind is so wrapped up by their words, that you haven't realized I've been protecting you all along." He answered softly, as if he was speaking to some naïve child,"You are quite oblivious, maybe it's because of how your father treated you, locking you away in your room and it's affecting you now." "What do you possibly think you were protecting me from? How would you even know anything about my childhood?" Y/n asks. "Haven't you seen the way they all treat you, like you're some outcast and even your own family does it to you. They have all turned on you, your father, Musume, Frueddo and Kokona especially since she killed your own sister. I had to step in and protect you, what if those people at school tried to harm you? I wouldn't give them chance to hurt you so I had to stop them." Ayato explains, his hands lay on top of Y/n's shoulders and she begins to think about his words.
"Even teachers, who are supposed to safe guard students don't bat an eye when someone does something to you. Your father doesn't care, your friends don't and if they did why did Kokona kill your sister? Why did Saki start liking Amao when she knew you two were childhood friends? Can't you see a picture Y/n?" Ayato says, Y/n doesn't know what to think or where he's going with this but what he is saying is true for some parts, "I did this for us. You've never had anyone see you for you, care about you or be as devoted as I am to you. I can bring some video games down here, decorate it a bit with your favorite music band, I can cook you your favorite food and give you anything you want-" Ayato is cut off by Y/n.
"I want to be let go." She said, blankly.
"You seem to be confused. You don't have a choice in the matter, it's not up for discussion. You can be let go of course when I trust you 100%-" Ayato's eye twitches when Y/n buts in.
"Trust me, I won't tell the police, I was trying to leave this country anyways." Shes unintentionally cutting him off, she does this when she's nervous and this is just a way for her to cope. She's visibly trembling and flinching when he tries getting close to her.
Ayato ties the gag around her mouth again, "I love you Y/n and I want to protect you. Keeping you in my sight is for the best, we'll be together forever. You complete me, Y/n and we can become whole together." Ayato ignored her words, he stares into her eyes with pure love ; Y/n feels disgusted on the other hand and she feels vomit in her throat, "My grandfather was mind broken, he was a walking empty shell off the man he use to be. He is incapable of looking after himself, he doesn't think for himself and the only thing he knows how to do is obey. I don't mind dealing with an empty shell Y/n, I can adapt and you can't without me."
"I will do whatever is necessary to make you obey, I will not hesitate to break you and put you back together. I'm doing this for us, I'm saying this because I love you." Ayato blushes, his lips are so close to kissing hers, finally he gets to kiss her instead of her photos and he'll cherish this moment forever. The door to the basement was left slightly ajar so Ayato could hear the entrance door opening. He pulls away from Y/n but takes out his phone to take a selfie of them together. Their first selfie together, with just him and Y/n... "I'll be back Y/n." He says, flushing as red as a tomato and he goes to greet his parents at the front door.
"Sweetheart! Me and my darling were watching the trial! I do hope you have a girlfriend for us to meet." Ryoba says, overjoyed and pulling her son into her arms and giving him a kiss on the forehead. Jokichi sighs, remembering when he was in that poor girls situation and he recalls all the lies Ryoba filled his head with. He can't help but feel pity for her, knowing he's just as powerless as her, "Why so sad, darling? Our son has a girlfriend! Smile, dear." She spoke, staring into his eyes, Jokichi forces himself to smile to stop his wife's sharp glare and he hates his life. Ayato was the last strand off hope he has and now he's kidnapped and traumatized some innocent girl.
"Yes, I have a girlfriend. Me and Y/n are going to get on well once she's had a push into the right direction." He smiles, Ryoba couldn't be more proud. Y/n feels her tears dampening the gag and she can't help but wonder... What if Ayato had been found guilty?

There Saki was, a day before the trial waiting impatiently for Horuda to finally show up after she successfully managed to retrieve her phone number. Saki's burns itched as she waited, it hurt to even more but knowing she was doing this for Y/n was enough to encourage her. She stood outside of a convenient store, looking left to right as she tried to spot Horuda out off the civilians passing by. She looked down at her phone, this is the fourth time she's done so and she can't help but worry, that she may not show up. Saki sighs, beginning to walk away from the store only to see Horuda rushing over to her, "I'm sorry..." Horuda apologies.
"Yeah, it's fine. Anyways, I just knew I had to bring this to your attention." Saki held out a ziplock bag to Horuda, who looks at her confused, "Look inside, Horuda." Saki answers, Horuda takes the bag and unlocks it, looking at the countless pictures Ayato took of her taking photos of every single victim that died. Her eyes widen, "Surely this can't be right... He said he would help me." Horuda attempts to defend him but the text messages between him and her shut her up. Her panicking about the body of Kokoro and she notices that he's deleted all of his messages to make her look even guiltier, "I thought..." Horuda is lost for words at this revelation.
Saki hopes this works, she had to break into Ayato's house, the house of a literal KILLER. She also had to make up some off it from scratch as well, using some actual proof as well, "I'm sorry, Horuda. He was using you all along, I'm not telling you this because of Y/n I'm telling you that he's playing you like some fool to send to jail. He needs to be in jail not you." Saki adds, she places a hand on Horuda's shoulder, "Help me, help you as well. You could be locked away for a huge portion of your life because off him. This is your chance to finally show him, that you are strong and you aren't some idiot he can use to get away free."
"You're right, I can't let him do this to me. After everything I've done for him, I even put those pins in Y/n's locker and sent that message to Taeko. I can't tell Y/n I'm sorry but I am. I'm sorry for what I did to her, she's always tried stopping Musume but I let hate consume me." Horuda sobbed, Saki pulled her into a hug, rubbing her back to comfort her. "Now's your time to give her and Taeko the biggest apology ever. By sending Ayato to jail."Saki speaks, looking into Horuda's eyes as she wept. "You're right, I'll do it." Horuda finally replied, sipping her tears away.
Here she was standing in court, not on Ayato's side but the right side. She felt the chains off her guilt slowly release her and she spoke the truth and nothing else. She did most of the talking for once in her life and she didn't shy away like the meek, timid and nervous reck she use to be. Saki showed her confidence and that day she stepped out into the light and spoke her truth, Saki told her not to mention the part about Kokoro. Horuda still feels the guilt eating her from the inside, she kept her mouth shut about it for now. "Ayato Aishi is guilty off all charges." The judge declared, Saki hugged Horuda tightly crying, now Horuda was the one comforting Saki.
"No, no, no! Ayato!" Ryoba shows, Jokichi the verdict and Jokichi hates that he's happy with the verdict since, this has stopped him from scarring that girl for life. He still is saddened by this as Ayato's his son but he can't deny the fact that he's as crazy as his mother. Ryoba grabbed his wrist so tightly, that it would definitely bruise later on but she was so fixated in getting off the bus that's she didn't even realize, "Call a taxi now! This can't be happening... It's all that Saki girl's fault for this, I'll hunt her down and kill her!" Ryoba mumbles angrily, Jokichi thought she was talking to her self so he was taken by surprise when she pulled her gaze away from the floor and at him, "What are you doing, standing around idle? I said, call a taxi!" She says a little louder than before, he immediately dials in a taxi company's number.
"Finally, a case our police station can be praised for." The chief says, placing his hand on Kenjo's shoulder, "We've done it son." Kenjo feels tears prickling out the corner off his eyes when he says that. "Yes we have." Kenjo responds, hugging his father as they both share this father son moment together.
"Look father, an Aishi his been caught! I wonder how those pests are going to wriggle their way out of this one." Kencho boasts, laughing slightly, in the end he got what he wanted while Ayato ended up in jail. Mr Saikou raised his head slightly, looking at Kencho and back towards his newspaper.
She did it.
Oh, Y/n!
She did it.
But, it didn't stop there, she went to the police station demanding a warrant, which Kenjo happily provided her with and they stormed the Aishi property despite Ryoba's protests. The basement was covered in darkness, Saki descended down the stairs first, preparing herself mentally for the worst. There she was, looking back at her with hope filling her dull eyes, Y/n, "Y/n! I'm so glad you're alive!" Saki hugged her even tighter than the ropes, that felt like they were restricting her lungs and they cried. Kenjo walks down the steps as well, flashing his lights onto the pair, "She's alive! We need an ambulance!" Kenjo calls, the police officers nod down at him and call an ambulance immediately.
She's freed off her ropes and she's brought to the hospital with Saki refusing to leave her sight once and if things couldn't get better, Y/n looked to the bed beside her to see Budo. He smiled at her despite the bandages wrapped around him, making him look like a mummy. He was going through immense pain yet he reached his hand out and she held out hers to hold his, "I'm so glad you're alive." Y/n whispers to him, he smiles; his neck is being held up in a support.
Saki is just happy that Y/n and Budo are alive, yet when she goes to the police station to hear updates on how long Ayato's sentence would be, she sees Horuda. Horuda with her raven her flowing and silver cuffs on her wrist, Horuda looks up to Saki with a small smile as she's taken away, "Why is she handcuffed?" Saki questions, Kenjo. "Shes confessed to killing Kokoro and she's even proven it. Well, atleast all the families of the victim's got justice." Kenjo responds, Saki stares sadly at the back of Horuda's head as she's taken away.
She sits inside the hospital, observing a sleeping Y/n and Budo and she reads a letter. Thank you, for helping me find my truth, I saw how devastated Kokoro's family was and I couldn't bare it. You have inspired me to turn a new leaf in my life but that has to start with a change and me letting go off the old me. I don't have a prison sentence nearly as long as Ayato's and when I do come out I'll be an entirely different person. This reminds me of butterflies emerging from a cocoon, I use to watch butterflies flapping their beautiful wings after Musume and her friends picked on me. This is the right thing to do. I'm breaking off all contact with you, I don't want to burden you with the past and I've already hurt a lot off people. So, this is a goodbye, Saki. Tell, Y/n and Budo. I don't regret my decision and I never will. Goodbye, for good.
Horuda Puresu.
Who knew changing for the better would lift so much pressure off your shoulders?
Saki folded up the letter, smiling. She couldn't be more proud of Horuda.
She's happy this has all come to an end and once Y/n has healed she's planning on leaving the country with her to get an apartment somewhere. If Budo wants to tag along he can but as long as Y/n's with her she'll be fine, they can get a cat and most importantly they'll be safe.
They won't have to ever worry about anyone like Ayato again, Saki will make sure of it.
"Promise me this Saki." Kokona starts.
"Yes?" Saki replies, confused by her words.
"Please make sure Ayato can't harm Y/n again." Kokona spoke, smiling at her with a hand on top of hers, the cherry tree they where sat under shaded them both from the sun.
She misses the simpler times.
"I will." Saki responds.
She's back to the present day and Saki breaths in, for once in a long while. She's at peace knowing she fulfilled Kokona's wish and managed to stop this once and for all.
