Y/n walks down the street, alongside her two best friends, Kokona and Saki. As they walk Y/n stomach twists in pain and growls like a hungry beast that hasn't been fed in days, "I didn't get anything to eat this morning, my dad rushed me out the house just so he could give his 'precious princess' a phone I asked for first." Y/n starts, rolling her eyes after recalling the scream Musume let off when her dad gave it to her.

"I regret giving you my box of Pocky, now I'm so hungry and I could eat the whole thing, including the box."Y/n begins over sharing way to much and Kokona gives her a blank stare, she gives Kokona a light shove to her side. She receives much more than she bargained for, getting a huge shove that felt extremely personal with a mix off a grudge Kokona must have against her, almost knocking her into the road.

Saki flushes red, quickening her pace as she's clearly embarrassed due to the bystanders watching the trio hard, "Saki! Hey, wait up!" Kokona pants, running after her and Y/n chases after the both of them despite the feeling off dropping dead at any second. They arrive to school, looking like sweaty hot messes yet they pain no mind to the people watching them as they walk by, they simply laugh, happy that they have eachother.

"I am so tired-" Y/n is cut off by the sight off Midori attempting to jump onto that raven headed boys back and instead pushing him forward, knocking into Kuu dere. "Yato-Kun! Yato-Kun! Did the game developer in the sky stop you from answering my calls?" Midori beams, seeming to be running purely on sugar as she's running around in a circle around kuu dere and that boy.

"Well, Midori, the 'game developer' in the sky told me to finish my homework. Instead off picking up your calls to play Yanvania of the night." He responded with a light chuckle, Y/n simply watched their conversation but what was interesting was all the people who waved at him as he passed. She knew he was popular but not this popular. "Y/n? It looks like your fixated on your new partner." Saki adds, distracting her from the people smiling as he walked past.

"What did you say? I mean, yeah totally." Y/n didn't hear a single word she said but Saki clicked her fingers in front of Y/n's face, drawing her eyes away from the ink headed boy, "Yeah, yeah, yeah. I agree." Y/n nods, still not listening till a sharp sting is prevalent on her cheek. Y/n holds her cheek in pain, with tears at the corner off her eyes. Did Saki just slap her? "What the hell." She glares at Saki and she simply shrugs as they arrive to their locker's.

"I don't know why you hate him Y/n, I saw you giving him a huge glare. He's an okay person, you just have to try loosen up a bit and I'm sure you two will get on." Kokona reassures her, there's something inside Y/n's heart that just doesn't trust him, he can easily blend in and out of a crowd with ease and she can't help but feel slightly jealous. He also knows exactly what to say like he's been programmed or something, especially when he's with Midori, she can say the most random stuff yet he can hand it all so well.

There's something so mysterious and hidden about him, even his steps are calculated and his eyes are always scanning a crowd, he acts as if he's laid all his cards onto the table. Though, in reality, her gut says otherwise, "I guess I'll try Kokona but no promises." Y/n replies, Kokona blinks up at her awaiting the answer she actually wants to hear, "Yes, Kokona. I will be kind, perfect and an absolute joy to him. Will that satisfy you Kokona?" Y/n scoffs, Kokona rolls her eyes playfully before walking off to drama club and Saki goes off to the cooking club.

Y/n opens up her locker, revealing stickers on the interior, her recent crush Gasai Yuno, pictures off her favorite people in the world Kokona and Saki, another picture of the photography club and her and lastly the shoes she swaps her outside ones with. As Y/n was taking her shoes off, she feels a slight brush against her shoulder, she turns and then tilting her head up slightly while stepping back. It's him.

He has a somewhat friendly smile on his face and he holds a hand out to her, "I feel like me and you got off on the wrong foot. After all, I'm not sure if you staring at me was intentional or not but I'm Ayato, Ayato Aishi." He introduced himself, his hand still hovering in the air for her to take,"I'm-" She's cut off by him interrupting her, making her furrow her eyebrows at him, "It's Ronshaku Y/n right? Musume is your sister, am I correct?" He questions, she just shook his hand since it's awkward with him holding his hand out. Normally, people just refer to her as Musume's sister but instead he's phrasing Musume as just being her sister.

It's refreshing to hear but when did he even get her name?

"Saki, told me. Your name, if you were wondering." He answers, seemingly reading her thoughts, that creeped her out a lot and she's looking for an excuse to escape this weird conversation.

Ding. Ding. Ding. Ding.

"Ah, sorry. That's the bell, it was nice meeting you? Yato? Hayato? Or whatever you said your name was but um bye." She didn't give him any room to talk and she quickly takes her leave with one inside shoe on and the one she came to school in on ; she didn't take any notice to it as she was trying to get out off that situation as soon as possible.

She's never been so happy to be in her classroom, she slumps down at her desk, taking in a well deserved breath of fresh air till she hears this, "I've made a few adjustments to the partners so if you were paying attention you have to go and sit next to your assigned partner. Now." Her teacher announced, she hears the scrapping off chairs against the floor but she was too focused on dragging her nail through a crack in her desk. She finally looks up, seeing everyone has a partner.

Huh.

Where is hers?

She almost lets out a shriek when she looks to her right, Hayato. What the hell is he doing in her class? She swears she's never seen him in there before, she raises her eyebrow when he slides over a box of Pocky towards her, "Consider it as a token off our partnership, Y/n." He smiles, a little too wide and she looks from the box to him then at the box again. "Thanks." Y/n fake smiles back, she didn't sound too appreciative at all, she was since he gave her food but not as much since she doesn't really like this guy.

"Okay, Hayato, what is are project about?" Y/n questions, getting his name wrong yet again but he chooses not to correct her again after doing it ten times already. That long painful hour off working with him was like watching wet freshly coated paint getting slathered onto a wall and then being held a gunpoint while your entire family was kept hostage and the person holding you at gunpoint made you watch paint dry. That's what that experience was like.

She's so glad it's finally over.

Y/n ascends the staircase to the computer room, she opens the door to see a room with a black carpet floor along with bluey-grey walls with a tan trim. There is no light getting into the room due to the windows being covered by black curtains, perfect for the gaming club members, who act like vampires when light touches them. Two rows of computers stand in the middle of the room, one across from the other. A second row of computers can be found in the front and back of the room. On the right side of the room, a small table has a tape recorder on top.

She sits on seat, waiting as the screen begins to load on the computer, she quickly stands up looking at both doors to check if anyone is trying to come in. The coast is clear so she sits back down to a fully load screen, she takes a USB flash drive and jabs it into the computer to get her website onto the screen. Thankfully, she's good with computers and her website allows her to find about almost anything about anyone-

She types in Hayato.

No student found.

What did he say his name was? She wasn't listening to him at all.

After a bit off trial and error, she remembers it's Ayato Aishi and still she finds zero, nothing at all. It's like he doesn't even exits. Does he seriously have no social media accounts either? What is he prehistoric or something?

She goes to Musume and that shows she has no other options at all, "What I know about Ayato? What I know is your a pain in the ass, get out of here I told you not to talk to me at school and clearly I'm very busy." Musume pushes her away, to continue gawking at Genka the leader off the gaming club. After his transformation Musume and her friends have been after him ever since, Y/n scoffs. Today has not been the best, hopefully work is slightly better.

The cafés interior had a black and white checkered floor with pink and white stripped wallpaper, with tables and chairs lined along it neatly, with arched windows giving customers a view of outside while they sat and ate.

Ayato couldn't careless about the customers, always pestering him and wanting this and that done, when he only worked here because it was opposite Taeko's favourite bakery. He could sometimes snap a quick picture of her when no one was looking, while he was on his break.

His heart beat quickened slightly when he caught a glimmer of her soft, silky, and raven coloured hair, his key to saving himself from a bleak world was only one store away and he gripped his sliver tray a bit too hard. The cafés ambience seemed to grow silent when he stared at her...getting lost in her beauty, she is the embodiment of perfection.

Only today she was crying.

She wore a light blue shirt with marron coloured trousers and leather shoes and her whole posture was slumped forward on the bench just outside the bakery. Her face was tear stained and he could tell from sunlight reflecting on her face and her eyes were bloodshot red. In moments like this he wished a piece of him felt sad that she was, but he felt nothing and continued to look at her with his tray in both hands.

He was waiting for the chef to finish cooking up some spaghetti bolognese for a customer but there was delay as he was the only chef cooking, with no one to assist him.

She mumbled something under her breath and he assumed it had something to do with the "unfortunate" departure of Osano from school along with Raibaru as she couldn't bare to leave Osano's side. Osano was practically getting suffocated with hateful words, people laughing at her and shooting her down any chance they got whether it was online or in person.

Osano got what he deserved.

A man passes by Taeko with a teal jumper with beige trousers and leather shoes, he then does a u-turn and sits beside her. His fluffy Chestnut brown hair bounced up as he sat beside her with a turquoise box of sweet, freshly baked treats.

The worst part is that he couldn't hear a word they were saying over the loud impatient customers.

"U...um excuse me?" The man spoke in an angelically soft silky tone, sitting beside her as her eyes left the concrete floor and instead stared into his ocean blue eyes, " I couldn't help but notice that you seemed quite sad about something. Would you like to talk about it?"

"Huh? Um have we met before?" Taeko asks, eyebrow raised at this new face?

"Oh I'm sorry my name is Amao Odyaka. We go to the same school together." Amao smiled sweetly, at her.

"I'm sorry if it's strange that I approached you so sudden but whenever I see a sad face I try my best to make things better." He replies with a genuine care in his voice.

"My childhood friend Osano confessed to me and I didn't feel the same way. Someone was cruel enough to record what happened and he faced torment online and in person...Till he left the school and cut off contact with me." Taeko speaks truthfully, just saying it makes her want to cry again the way she couldn't protect Osano the way Raibaru did and how she was brave enough to fight back for Osano.

"Oh I'm so sorry to hear that...I can't image what that must of felt like..." Amao responds holding tighter onto the box he had.

"Hey, this isn't much but it might take your mind off things for a moment." He opens up the box and hands Taeko a cupcake, she remembered the time him and Osano would sneak off into the kitchen to make random treats just for the fun of it.

"Oh, um thank you." Taeko mumbled, taking a bite into it and her eyes widened at the frosting melting in her mouth and how warm the cupcake itself was, "Wow it's delicious."

"I have to go to my parents bakery, you can come along if you want." He smiled, standing up and looking down into her ink coloured eyes.

"I wouldn't want to be a bother..." Taeko answers honestly, she doesn't want to be a burden to Amao but company could do her some good right now.

"Of course you wouldn't be, let's go!" He grins and leads the way to the bakery.

Ayato wanted him gone he wanted to- "Hurry up and hand this to the customer it's assigned to!" The man snapped his fingers in front Ayato's face removing him from his thoughts and the man placed the spaghetti bolognese onto his tray for him to server. He remembered the person he need to give his order to, they were a ginger with green ey-

His shoulder crashed into a customer walking in and he stopped to look at who he crashed into only to see his classmate, Y/n the daughter of a loan shark. He didn't expect her to be here but no matter "I apologies for bumping into you ma'am." Ayato puts his mask on, and now he's smiling at her with his head tilted to the side slightly.

Y/n hates running into people from school, she had the raging urge to hide and pretend she never laid an eye on him. She remembers a time she was forced to go to the mall with Musume, when she saw a classmate, she went to hide only for Musume to call them over and purposely force her to acknowledge their existence outside school.

Only in this case she failed stage one, avoiding.

She's literally bumped into him and she's just trying to get her shift started, since she works here aswell and when did he start working here?

She decided to answer calmly and quickly.

"Itsfinebye." She spluttered out and swiftly walked to the staff room behind the counter, she thinks she handled that pretty well. She was about to take out her phone when she yelped at the sudden hand on her shoulder.

She turned around and suppressed a scream in her throat, it must of been a trick of the light but one of the lights were broken exactly where he stood. She could only see the bottom half of his face and that added to the fear factor.

He stepped out of the dark and she stepped back.

"I didn't mean to scare you." Ayato spoke, and Y/n turned around maybe it was best to act dumb and act like she totally didn't just see him.

"Oh! Hi Yato, I didn't know you worked here..." She chuckled awkwardly, "Don't you have a job to do or something?" Yeah, Yato, in the kindest way possible stop talking to me and go do your job. He's literally everywhere, maybe Kokona is right might as well try to talk to him since she physically can't escape him.

"Yes, I am on my break right now, how long have you worked here?"Ayato asks calmly, a small smile on his face as he stared into her eyes, never once breaking eye contact.

Info chan has gotten someone in Ackademi to try and stop him, she even admitted it to him saying it would be an interesting display of events and this person could be anyone. They could already be on his trail and they could stop him achieving his goals.

Aishi's and people who put their nose where it doesn't belong, don't mix.

It was clear from when his mother was at school and after the death of ten of the student's at Ackademi a detective was already trying to pin the blame on her. It ultimately failed.

No one would ever get in his way.

"I've worked here for the past month, I don't know when you started working here but my shifts have changed recently so that's probably why you haven't seen me." Y/n responds, she feels like this is a test, and why would he ask anyways? She's extremely suspicious of people right now.

It was probably just a conversation starter since he knows nothing about me.

I know everything about her.

I know where she lives what she likes and dislikes all because of her sister, it's easy to get her to talk once you do something for her.

"Do you know about someone called, Info-chan?" He questions calmly, she wants the floor beneath her to swallow her whole right now, who is this straight forward in conversations?

He was smiling at her, with his hand on her shoulder but his smile didn't match his eyes, they were the kind soulless you'd see on possessed dolls in horror movies. Just by looking at him made her gut twist into a knot.

"I'm sure everyone at Ackedmi has heard of Info-chan but no one has ever seen her and I'm sure people want it to stay that way after the rumours of her blackmailing people." Y/n states, the tension is killing her and it was thick, it could be cut with the knife in his pocket-

The knife in his pocket!?

"I see... I am still surprised at what happened to Osano..." He spoke, and Y/n glanced at his eyes then the knife then his eyes again trying to be discreet, she nodded to the words he said and let them sink in.

"I would like to get to know you better, since we work together now. Here. My number." Ayato replies changing the topic, he pulls the small notebook out of his pocket and takes the pen from behind his ear to jot down his number.

Y/n taps her feet against the tiles, she's definitely losing money by the second since she was rudely stopped by him, after all she has a job to do.

She goes to retrieve the note from his hand and their hands meet.

Electric travels up his hand and his heart begins to beat if anything it was beating quicker than when he saw Taeko, the lamp was a spotlight shining down on her and he blushed slightly but it went unnoticed by her. He didn't know what was going on, Taeko was the artist who would paint colour into his world, not Y/n.

He felt a rush of adrenaline but it died down slightly once she stepped back and took the sheet along with the warmth she gave him.

What was happening?

What is this sudden feeling he's experiencing?

Senpai was the one who was supposed to save him.

"Do you have any social media accounts?" She asks, genuinely because he looks like the kind of guy who would ask what a tik tok is. She had to know since she found no trace off an account either.

"I don't unfortunately, but calling me will do just fine." He replied.

Suspicious...

He was seeing her in a new light, but his world began to dim once more as she stepped closer to the door, "Sorry Yato, I have to start my shift at some point, I'll see you around at school." Y/n states, she ready to book it from the café itself but she gives him one last glance and goes off to change and begin her shift.
