" Inform Sashwat sir about the teams that are formed and detail him about Major Vihaan dividing the groups. " I told one of the junior officers while making my way towards the mess to have food.

It was evening 8:30 pm and I was genuinely famished after spending the whole day tracking That bastard Fakiri's whereabouts.

And suddenly, I got hit with a wall.

And no guys, if you are thinking that it is some hot guy then no.. Its not him, neither this is a wattpad story.

It was actually a pillar which I didn't see coming in my way when I was lost in today's incident.

Ouchhhhh!!!!! That hitted so hard. I started rubbing my forehead.

" Are you okay ? " A deep voice came from behind making me shudder.

God! Never in my whole life anyone had this much authority.

I turned around only to see the Greek God himself standing in front of me. MAJOR VIHAAN SINGHAL......

He had his both hands in his pocket and serious concern etched on his face.

I just looked at him and nodded when he started moving towards me.

" Pakka ? It doesn't look like it. Your forehead have turned slight reddish. " He said forward his hand which was about to touch my forehead but stopped sensing that we were practically strangers.

" Ummm, yes I am fine. Thank you for the concern " I said giving him a small smile.

He returned the smile and forwarded his hand.

" Vihaan Singhal ! " He said.

" Kaira Awasthi " I replied and shook his hand and it felt so warm, so right. Our hands fitted with e/o so perfectly!

" By any chance , did I encounter you today in the evening before meeting you officially ? " He said taking his hand and warmth back with him.

" Might be? " I said giving him a sheepish smile.

He chuckled at that.

" Let me lead you to the mess. " He said while motioning towards the way and we both started walking.

" Hmmm..... So what were you doing at Afsar Bazaar ? " I asked him while crossing my hands at the back.

" Well, supposedly I had to buy something for the most important woman in my life. " He said about her as if she was her World. And I won't deny, but it hurts like BITCH !

" So your girlfriend or wife? " I asked trying to keep envy away from my voice .

He looked at me as if I have grown two heads and then gave a brief laugh before saying - " Unfortunately or fortunately, apne paida hone se lekar ab tak mai akhand single hun. So no, Your guess is wrong " He said so casually yet a breathe of relief left my lips idk why!

" So whom were you talking about? " Curiosity got the best out of me.

" My Mom! Oh god, I am in so much in love with her ! " He said dramatically which made me laugh.

" I see! A mumma's boy you are ! " I said teasing him to which he nodded giving a Cheshire grin.

Soon we reached the mess and made our ways towards dining table. Like a gentleman, he pulled out a chair for me to which I mouthed him a THANK YOU .

Soon we were seated. Our table had 6 chairs and all were occupied by now.

AUTHOR's POV -

The food was served and chattering could be heard from all over the hall. Officers mingling with e/o and introductions were being made.

3 officers on their table were talking with e/o and she was left with Jai and Vihaan.

" Kaira right ? " Her thoughts were invaded by none other than Jai who sat beside Vihaan .

She nodded with a small smile.

" Its good to meet you ! Heard a lot about you from Brigadier sahab just before the dinner. " He said.

" Thank you ! " She replied enthusiastically.

" So Kaira! What all info did you collect in the whole day ? " Vihaan started while taking a bite of Chapati and sabji.

" Info ? " Jai asked while being confused.

" Yeah! Madam had been seen on the streets of Afsar Bazaar in a verynusual manner . " Vihaan replied.

" Who saw her? " Jai asked wiggling his eyebrows despite him getting a hint who it might be.

Vihaan released a sigh and that was enough for Jai to get a mischievous smile on his face.

" So kaira ! Humaare Vihaan sahab se app pehle hi mil chuki hai ! " Jai asked while grinning mischievously.

To which kaira replied - " Accidental, yes "

Vihaan was glaring at Jai which he ignored royally.

" Kaira please continue about what all did you find. " Vihaan said while glaring at Jai continuously .

" umm yeah, actually I was just on a conquest to render upon how residents of Pulwama live. And somehow, I have got to know about some bases of local terrorist out here. Unfortunately one of them spotted me and somehow I ran away. Since I was in Burqa, no one could recognize me. " She completed with a sigh and by now, she had got attention of all other 3 members on their table.

By now Vihaan realised that when she collided into him, why she was panicking. But he didn't voice his thoughts out cause if his best friend gets to know about this filmy moment, he would tease the hell out of Vihaan.

" What were the places that you discovered ? " One of the officer asked curiously.

" I will reveal it tomorrow with whole mapping in the conference room. " Kaira replied.

10:00 pm

Vihaan, Jai and kaira were done with dinner and now were making their way towards their respective rooms.

" So Good Night Kaira! See you tomorrow. " Vihaan replied as they reached her room.

" Yeah! Good night to both of you! " She said before entering her room and giving them a smile smile, she closed her door.

Now only the Best friends were left alone.

As Vihaan reached his own room and was about to close hid room's door, a leg stopped in middle. There stood Jai with a ever big Cheshire grin.

Vihaan groaned internally but soon was pushed inside and now the door was locked by Jai from inside.

" Bhai kisine bahar se dekh liya toh galat samjhega. Mai straight hun bhai! " Vihaan said with horror etching his face.

{ Bro if someone locates us like this, then they will take it wrong. I am straight as fuck bro! }

" Kyun be saale Tujhe kya laga, tu crush jama ke baithega aur mujhe kaanon kaan khabar nahi hogi! Ahaan, dekh raha tha mai, bade pyaar se baat kar raha tha mess me aane se pehle! " Saying this Jai jumped on him and their started there fight.

" Why are you behaving like a jealous girlfriend ? " Vihaan asked while Tacking Jai down on the floor and himself stood off dusting his clothes.

" That I will tell you " Jai replied before starting their legendary pillow fight.
