Third Person's POV.

It was right here. The first time we met. Hamasaki Tsuda thought to himself as he stood in front of the alley, this time in the faint light of dusk. He had visited this place more than a dozen times, since he recovered.

He looked at the alley blankly while he stood with his hands tucked in the front pockets of the pants of his expensive suite.

The suite was identical to the one he wore that night, when he met the woman who saved him. The woman he couldn't keep out of his head for one moment.

It would be so nice to wake up every morning with the same pat she gave me in the car. No one could hold the reigns of his wishes no matter how impossible they seemed. And he would get what he wants for any cost.

'Who was she?'

'Why did she leave me like that?'

'Why did she not stay to get a reward or anything back for saving the only son of the leader of Hamasaki tribe?'

More importantly, 'why did she save a stranger she knew was dangerous?'

All these questions were running in his head for months now.

He looked everywhere for her, to find a clue or anything that might lead him to her, but he found nothing.Nothing. Neither records nor CCTV footage. Even Xavier couldn't find the footage. Xavier the tech legend.

He atleast found out that the footage was intentionally corrupted. Which meant she was not a nobody, she was someone with a backup. A backup that was strong enough to challenge Xavier Herrmann himself.

"I will find her." He said to his friend Salvatore Agosti as he seated myself beside him in his car. "Sure." Salvatore said with a hint of sarcasm.

He was always looking for a fight but Tsuda was not in the mood today. "I hope your efforts are not as useless as the first letter of your name." That was it! This guy had the power to test Tsuda's patience within 2 minutes.

"As long as my efforts are not as useless as your dick, I'll be fine." Tsuda replied looking satisfied as he saw the glare his friend was giving him. "You better not get there again." He warned which multiplied Tsuda's satisfaction.

"I need to get to the airport in ten minutes, you don't need to see me off." Tsuda told him changing the topic.

"I was not planning to." Salvatore was usually silent and selfloating but today he was happy enough to use that smart tongue of his to annoy Tsuda.

He knew the exact reason behind his friend's cheerfulness. He was about to meet his ex wife, someone he has been trying to reach for years but failed every time because of a friend of hers.

He heard her friend gave him a solid punch to his gut. 'Gotta appreciate the few good women there are'.

Recently his ex wife supported him in front of public, which meant more to him than he was willing to admit.

Salvatore and Tsuda fought quite often but they were always there for each other. Like a few months ago Salvatore came running to rescue him when he laid unconscious on a bench in a church. That was where that woman left him after texting Salvatore.

He dropped him off to his mention and headed towards the airport. His parent's anniversary was soon and he needed to get home to Japan before that.

He closed his eyes when he stopped at the red light waiting for it to turn green. He opened his eyes and looked around, why was the signal taking so long?

Suddenly his eyes landed on the too familiar green eyes. Those eyes he couldn't get out of his head. Eyes that softened and took pity on him when no one else cared.

It was that woman, in the driving seat of the car right next to him. Tsuda's focus slightly zoomed out from her and her in her face as a whole.

Her lower limp was plumper than the upper, giving her a pouty look. Cute. Her face was heart shapped but slightly rounder. Her hair were straight and dark, tucked in a ponytail.

Her hair parted in the middle and two front stands were twisted and pinned back giving an image of a light crown on her head right above her hairline.

His staring must have woken the womanly instinct in her, for she turned her head twards him. Her gaze met his and they panicked which confirmed his doubt. The light in front of them turned green and she sped her Austin Martin away from him.

That moment the airport and everything else fled his concerns. Not this time! I'm not letting you get away.

He turned his steering wheel in the direction she fled in and was right behind her honking at her from time to time, telling her to stop. But she put her feet to the race and left it there even through traffic.

She was desperately trying to get away from him. "Archer! Get the next signal to stay red after I pass by it!" She fled like her life depended on it and somehow it did.

"On it!" A voice of someone's 5 year old son echoed through her phone and the screen went dark. It was creepy how he had a hold on random civilians that don't even know of his existence.

Without looking at the device she could tell another phone of hers was destroyed. It has happened to many times for her to doubt that.

'Archer better change his habit of burning phones up or they were gonna have a serious problem.' She thought to herself, furious at him.

After 15 mins of the chase, where their cars made sharp turns and tires screeched several times, there was a moment he almost reached her window. But there was traffic in front, through which Avery's car slipped out but his couldn't.

She fisted the air and kissed the screen of her, now burnt mobile, silently thanking Archer. That's how you do it! Something childish possesed her and she pushed her hand out of her window and waved at the stuck yakuza.

The grin at Tsuda's face was maddening. For the first time in his life he was this excited. In comparison to the warm blood of his enemy on his hand this was the first thing that could be more thrilling for him. This woman had to be his! She will be his! And he will make sure of it!

~Few months later.

It seemed as though that car never existed neither did that woman. Nothing could be found yet again. But because of that encounter he decided to stay in the states which made him miss his parents' anniversary. He now had to watch his back to make sure his father was not trying to get him killed for getting his mother upset.

Tsuda now had a sketch of the woman which he was able to get after looking at her face in clear light. He was willing to knock on every door of the state to ask them about her but he couldn't.

Those kits in her car and her skills in sewing someone up meant she often had to tend to herself. Which meant she might be under radar of someone, that's why she was running from him too, to get away from any trouble. If his guess was true than he could never search for her openly through that sketch and risk her. Never. Anything but that.

So now he stood by Salvatore's side in the office of his ex wife as she spit venom on all of them. He couldn't blame her though.

Suddenly a bang was heard and all of them stood up. Tsuda turned towards to door to see who it was and froze at the sight. The beautiful woman who saved him was there right in front of him. And everyone in the background disapeard for him and his eyes zoned to her alone.

She did not spare him or anyone else a single glance, "Are you okay, Ava?" She walked towards her, clearly worried about her.

Oh God! That voice! The same one! Her tattooed arm, the same! Her eyes the same!

"Why would I not be?" She released a breath as though relieved and nodded. She looked at Salvatore with those eyes, that held a promise of death.

Then her eyes travelled pass him and widened at what she saw, more specifically, 'who' she saw. Was she shocked to see his? He felt satisfaction deep within his heart at her reaction.

She recognized him and her eyes told him she knew there was no running away now, because her precious Ava was now involved in this.

"I got what you asked for." She turned back to her and handed her a package. "Put the gun away. You scare no one here." Avery told Xavier in a dead serious voice.

Damn! I wish she challenged me like that! Look at me! I know you see me and know me, but you're too afraid to admit it. Tsuda thought to himself while keeping his eyes at Avery.

He felt as though she will disapear again and turn again, into a fantasy of his own. Like she was never real. "That's my student lone, to you." Salvatore glared at Ava trying to hide how she had just hit his ego. Tsuda couldn't care less about them for now.

"I won't look at her like that if I were you." Avery warned with a promise of violence, Tsuda knew she was more than capable of imposing.

'Oh? She knows violence! How exciting!' He was boiling inside, with excitment.

"This is between us." Avery clenched her jaw and stared daggers at him. And that was it for Tsuda. He knew he needed to give Salvatore and Ava space. And he could never be happier than to keep Avery to himself.

"Oh! So this is the famous Avery!" He exclaimed getting everyone's attention. Everything was relating now. What were the odds? The woman who beat Salvatore was the woman Tsuda had been looking for, all this time.

He moved away from his chair which laid on the floor and walked towards her. He put his arm on her shoulders engulfing both of her shoulder under his right arm.

'That's right where she should have been from the start rather than playing chase.' He thought as he savoured their contact.

He gave her a teethy grin which made his eyes creased. His head tilted slightly to the side, looking down at her. This close she smelt rich, sweet and earthy like honey with the faintest hint of jasmine.

He would have put his nose to her neck and sniffed her if it wouldn't have scared her away from him.

"Fireball, don't you think we have something to discuss ourselves?" He said to her. "I don't know you." She replied coldly, clearly still playing Chase but somehow defeated.

After communicating with Ava through her eyes she let him pull her out of their office.

He pulled his arm away as soon as they stepped out of their office, indicating that he did that to make sure she don't attack his friend or anyone. That annoyed Avery greatly.

His hand held her wrist as he pulled her out and into his car. "Where are you taking me?" She asked coldly trying to hide her nervousness at having a yakuza in charge of their situation.

"Do you remember me now?" He asked smugly. At which she frowned, "Where are you taking me?" She repeated.

"You saved me and then disappear like you were just in my imagination. Playing with my sanity isn't a good thing now, is it?" She looked at him, sinking back in the passenger seat right beside him and he felt a sense of fulfilment at her being there. Like she always belonged right there.

"I'm taking you to my parents, then we're going to the church right away." He told her while looking ahead as he drove. She gasped at his statement and then glared at him.

"You do just that, if you want a similar whole in your chest as the guy in the alleyway." Her warning felt like her pat on his head to him.

"So you do remember that you were there that night." He smirked as he pulled into the parking lot of a restaurant nearby. "Let's grab a bite. I'm starving." He said unbuckling his seatbelt as he climbed out and opened her door for her.

"Come on, let me pay you back for saving me. This is the least I can do." He said as he noticed she did not budge from her seat. Eventually she gave in and followed him.

"I did not save you to make you owe me anything." She pointed out staring at him, ignoring her untouched food while he was halfway done with his own. "Of course I know that. That's not the only reason why we're here." He assured her.

"Then why are we here?" She asked, as curiosity sparked in her. "To eat, of course." He knew he was making her blood boil, but being the reason behind her annoyence was better than being nothing to her.

And he knew he was just that to her right now, nothing. And that knowledge somehow left a hollow feeling in his heart. An empty void he intended to fill soon.
