Third Person's POV.
"He's here! He's here!" The commotion was due to someone's unexpected presence in the under ground fight today. Someone powerful Avery realized. "I've heard the owner of this ring was a mere servant to the guest today." Someone whispered behind her.
The guest was surely rich, if the servent gets to own an underground ring all by himself. Avery thought as she fixed the glove around her knuckles as she stretched he fingers to test the stiffness of the glove. Avery was despretly wanting to wash her hands off of the fighting because of Ava. Ava had noticed the bruises and cuts more than before, now that they lived together. And she was not happy about them at all.
Despite her refusing to fight anymore, she was forced to fight this one last match by the boss, for the sake of 5 years they worked together. The boss was her trainer, which had opened this underground world to her. She always made sure to get her fingers secure from most of the damage, because she secretly held brush to paint with the same hands.
The announcement boomed through the ring and the back rooms, that it was her turn to fight. She walked out bare feet, with a towel hanging around her neck. She wore the logo covered tank top which clung to her body and the plain black shorts. Her opponent was already in the ring, so she was soon weighted one last time. Her trainer put the mouth guard between her teeth and she bit down on it.
He tapped her head with his knuckles while saying words to boost her up and anger her at the same time. The trainer was nothing but harsh and professional. The moment she stepped into the ring shouts and cheers were erupted from the crowd. Panther! Panther! There were crowd that booed her but there was a greater crowd cheering her up.
Bets were made and right before the starting bell ran the whole hall fell into silence. A man stepped out of the VIP spectator cabin, up above. He had a long grey coat covering the same coloured suite. The owner stood up from his spot and bowed his head as the man walked towards him. Power. That's what that man screamed of.
The man tapped on the owners shoulder and he stood straight, before both of them sat beside each other. The moment the man turned towards the ring, Avery noticed his gaze fix upon her. She looked up at him and her eyes widened with terrifying recognition. The black orbs that were focused on her belonged to no one else but Hamasaki Tsuda.
Archer was the one who gave her information on the guy. Just as she suspected, he was a yakuza. But not any yakuza, he was the only son of the one of the biggest leading tribes of yakuza chains, Hamasaki. They did not only held reigns in Japan but also had power overseas.
That guy was way more dangerous than she first suspected him to be, which gave her more reason to avoid him. Salvatore Agosti, Hamasaki Tsuda and Xavier Herrmann, Avery knew they must avoid these 3 devils to protect Ava and themselves. At any cost.
She turned away and moved her focused to her opponent. And right when the bell rang, a filthy fight broke out. At first all she did was dodge the raged jabs and punches from her opponent. Though she was struck with a blow on her stomach and her chin. She was one of those fighters who likes to make their opponents run out of stamina first.
Once she noticed her attackes were slowing down her lips arched in a smirk as she gave her a right hook which she tried to about but failed. Her right cheek got the blow which made her wince. Before she could recover Avery held her face on the both side and rammed her head on the opponent's face.
The opponent jerked back to get space between them. There was blood trickeling down her nose which made Avery pity the woman. This was no fair fight, but she had to do what needed to be done. Soon they were circling each other, trying to find an opening to strike. 'First blood' Avery smiled and mouthed to the opponent. The teasing could either brake her spirit or enraging her. Avery noticed it was the latter as the opponent charged towards her.
Avery leaned back and kicked out, aiming her below the ear. To her surprise the attack was blocked by the opponent. Nice. She thought and aimed her knee this time, but before she could strike, a solid punch made contact with her cheek and her lower lip. She felt blood trickling down her chin and realized her lower lip was cut open. Shit! Ava will see that! Her only wish was to get injury on a place she could hide from other's sight. Hell with this fight!
She struck her elbow out which made a brutal contact with her opponent's chin making her stagger back. But Avery needed to end this quick so she struck again. She jerked her elbow back to fix a sweet punch on the face of her opponent who now layed under Avery. Before her knuckles could make contact with her cheek she felt her elbow hit something else behind her. "Shit! The referee!" She cursed and turned back, getting off of the opponent.
She saw the referee cold out on the ground while struggling to breath. The crowd went wild and shouts were ringing out, most of them on their feet. She crawled to the man in a blink raising a hand to her opponent. Her elbow must have hit him in the face to make him knocked out like that. Her eyes widened when she realized why he was struggling to breath. "His tongue is blocking his airway!" The opponent jumped up and waved at the paramedics!
They were rushing towards them but not fast enough. Avery cursed as she took her glove off in a rush. She held the guy's chin, forcing it open. Once it was opened enough she slipped two of her fingers in his mouth and pulled his tongue away from his throat. She felt a hand wrap around her upper arm in a strong grip. And in an instant she was pulled back and away from the man. She saw medics surrounding the men, while she realized the man was not struggling to breath anymore.
She jerked her arm to free it from the hold of who she assumed to be her trainer but it won't budge. She was soon proven wrong on her assumption when her eyes met dark eyes. Those dark orbs of the man she had run away from for a while now. Those black eyes that were focused on hers from the moment she entered the ring till now. It was Hamasaki Tsuda.
Her brows creased at the guy who was clenching his jaw in anger, as though she just did something wrong. "You hurt yourself." His harsh voice made her palms sweat with nerves but she glared up at him. "Let go!" She exclaimed as she tugged her arm away to get rid of his hold. "I am NOT doing that." He said in an anger suppressed voice as he lead her away.
She was forced to follow him to a changing room, where he pushed her down on a bench. Soon he sat down beside her as he dabbed medicine dipped cotton on her lip. "I can take care of myself!" She seethed out from between her gritted teeth. "Is this how you took care of yourself for all these years?" His tone was accusing as though she had done something wrong against him.
"What the fuck is your deal?!" She asked as she tried to jerk her head away from the man. He almost growled as he held her chin in a firm grip. "You are not one to curse at me right now!" His voice was calm but still held some anger in it. "I do what I damn well want to." She hissed at him.
"Not anymore. You don't get to do what you want now." It was a statement he made so calmly, as though it was the most natural thing for him to choose what she can do and what she can not.
"Oh you think so?" She asked sarcastically. In a blink of rage, she rammed her shoulder to his chest making him loose his balance. He cursed as his back hit the ground. Avery was on top of him in an instance.
But before she could as much as touch a hair on him, he had her wrists secured in his grip against his chest. It infuriated Avery that it took him only one hand to bound both of her wrists. What the hell is up with this strength?
With her bettle rage from the ring still surging in her, she tried to headbutt him. But he stopped her with brutal ease as his other hand rested on her forehead. "Avery you are hurt!" He exclaimed with his voice raised. He huffed out a breath trying to calm himself down.
"Look, I love the current position we are in, but you must let me treat your wound." He tried to reason with her, while holding her still above himself. His hand retreated from her forehead and his thumb lightly brushed over a bruise on her cheek.
"For Avalyn, she will worry if they are not treated right away." He said with his voice soft, free from his anger. He knew Ava was her weakness and he was not dignified enough, not to use it against her. "Keep her name out of your mouth." She said as she retreated from him, her voice calmer than before. Standing up and away from him, she sat down on the seat.
"Does it need stitches?" She asked while he was disinfecting her wound. He smiled, happy to have a normal conversation with her. "No. Fortunately not." He replied while his head was bent on her wound. "There we go." He said in a light voice, when he was done covering her wound and had put healing tube on her bruise.
She frowned at him, for using a tone one would use with a child. But otherwise stayed silent. She stood up and went to the changing cabin. She stepped out after changing back in her tracksuits, thinking he would have left. But he sat right where he was before she left.
"I will get this thing shut down if you fight again." He said simply as a fact, as he stood up, fixing his tie. "Go ahead." She replied holding her backpack and keys. "You wouldn't mind that?" He asked. "It's none of my business. It was my last fight anyway." She told him which made him smile. "Good then." He said and in reply she simply sounded out, "Hmm."
She walked towards the door to get herself home when she was stopped by his question. "Where are you going?" She turned back and replied with annoyence. "Where ever I want." He shook his head and walked towards her, "Why do you take, everything I say as a challenge?" She raised her chin and replied.
"Because I don't want anything to do with you." Her words were pure venom to him. He got even closer to her and tilted his head towards her. "And what have I done to deserve that?" He asked in a light yet dangerous tone.
"You are his friend." He knew she was talking about Salvatore. "So me being his friend makes me deserve such hatred?" He asked. "It sure does." Her reply made him grim suddenly. Grim and dangerous. "Very well." He said as she felt his hand snake around her waist and her feet were lifted off the ground. It happened so fast that she couldn't even protest when she was thrown over his shoulder.
"What the hell!! Let go of me!!!" She hissed out while using the muscle power of her whole body to get herself off of him. The difference of power between them was brutaly clear to her, when she couldn't even make him stumble a single step.
"You're actually lighter than you look. We gotta make you eat more ." He said to her and walked out of the room with complete ease. Which made Avery question all the years she spent fighting. And being the champion of the ring was put to shame for her. Once they were out she saw 3 men bowing in front of the door. That's when she realized that he never intend to let her get away.
