Aru's pov.
"Hi, sis" Aru greeted her sister.
"Hey, you. You don't have to come every week you know. I get that you're busy with-"
"Don't worry about it. I'm trying to make up for lost time, even if you're in jail"
"Okay. Let's both put effort"
"Ugh" She feigned faintness. "Ew. Effort. Do I have to?"
They both laughed together that evening.
And that was 1 month ago.
She took a deep breath.
" Boo?" She walked into his hospital room.
He opened his eyes slowly. And then he sat up quickly as he saw her. "Aru! Aru I'm so sorry-"
Aru hugged him tightly. "It's okay. You don't have to say anything, I get it"
And he hugged back, and believe it or not, that was the most of parently love she got all year.
That was one week ago.
"Shah, you have got this" Aiden steeled her. "Just one hour. And then it's done"
"I'm fine. I made a whole speech and all" Aru adjusted her black funeral clothes.
"I'm so proud of you" Her mom hugged her. "I'm sorry I'm too cowardly to say the speech myself"
"That's okay"
That was 1 hour ago.
"Mom, you should never feel cowardly for something like this. Being afraid doesn't mean you're a coward, it means you are a careful and cautious person that is feeling logical in the situation at hand. My father, Suyodhana Shah was a good man that made bad decisions. He was a good traveler that followed the wrong path. He was a good hearted king that made a lot of mistakes. He was a fighter, a brave soul, a husband, a son and a father, but most importantly, he will stay in our hearts forever"
As Aru finished her speech she looked around to the people who mad all of this possible. Her friends, boyfriend, her mom, but most importantly the hope that lived in her soul.
And as she left the funeral, it felt like she was leaving a chapter of her life behind.
It was the closure she needed. Because, really, without a closure, chapters of a story aren't really finished, are they?
Ah ew, crappy chapter. I needed to finish this though. I realized I don't really like this book and it didn't go in the direction I wanted it to go.
This was a really bad book. I realise the difference from the first chap and my new books.
So for the last time on this book, this is me signing off. I'm sorry.
