[Same title but rewritten]

"...Moving on, we have news regarding the continent of Gestrae. According to the Ministry of Defense, more than a hundred warships were seen off the eastern coast of the La Ferdinan Empire as reported by satellites. The fleet consisted many of the Kingdoms Union member state navies according to their Esterrian counterparts who reviewed the information, with most of them are La Ferdinan.

The MoD refuses to confirm the purpose of this massive fleet and why they have gathered there.

As for the civil war in the Commonwealth, the Esterrian War Ministry have announced that their Royal Army have retaken the coastal city of Vastiak in Havenklein after a grueling month of fighting. The liberation of the city would subsequently means that a supply line from the seas are restored between the mainland and the region, allowing more troops and supplies to be transported into the region.

We also have new information from the Flash Intelligence & Investigation Agency. The FIIA has said that they have picked up 'a strange radio frequency'. Said radio frequency consisted mostly of static, however, upon closer look, an indistinct voice can be heard. The FIIA is currently getting to the bottom of this frequency" - FCNN

Royal Palace, Kingdom of Naeslagtland, 14/4/1702 In the palace located at the capital city of the kingdom, the king can be seen pacing back and forth in his room. Madsen IV is usually a calm and collected person, but ever since the disaster of the spying mission across a new country named Flashia, he has been quite nervous.

Unlike most of his counterparts from the Kingdoms Union Gestrae, the King of Naeslagtland is not the ones who are so hungry for glory but is instead, someone would rather approach a situation cautiously, especially when this potential enemy severed the intelligence gathering parties across a large territory without breaking a sweat.

A sound came to his ears: a knocking of a door.

"Come in"

Opening the door and entering the room was no other than his assistant whom he trust the most, and for a very good reason. He has been there since Madsen became the King after his late father and also the one who contributed a lot in terms of managing both internal and external affairs of the country.

"Ah, Mr. Fosberg, what brings you to my room?"

"Your Majesty" his aide reported "I come and deliver a message from our Kingdoms Union counterparts"

The King turned away for a short while before facing Fosberg again.

"Fine, what is the message you speak of?"

"The message is as followed" as he would bring up a paper which he had been holding "'O King Madsen IV of Naeslagtland, we have heard that you will not send troops to the expedition, to which we will say that you will miss the glorious battle that is about to come where we fight the uncivilized enemy that is Flashia. We will shall conquer this nation as ours, avenging our spies and it would be sad that you will not be there to see it'"

The smile Madsen kept from when his assistant came into his room transitioned into a frown in the matter of one second.

"...Are they trying to persuade me into joining them against Flashia?"

"It is widely inferred as such. The question is: Will you do it?"

Silence filled the room for awhile, before the King breaks it:

"...No, I will not send troops to fight Flashia. You know why?" said the King as he started to step towards Fosberg.

"If they are truly uncivilized barbarians with supposedly inferior technology, then explain the 81 spies that are probably sitting in jail right now"

Fosberg can feel the pressure he never encountered before, but he kept his calm facade and listened to what his king have to say.

"Explain why all the Variks, known to be the best among us, were caught. If they are really barbaric, THEN WHY DO THEY MANAGED TO DO SUCH A FEAT?!" Madsen IV shouted at Fosberg's face, before he slowly backed away "...I am truly sorry, I think I am going insane over this..."

"Papa?" a little boy appeared at his doorway "Are you and mister Fosberg arguing?"

The Naeslagt king walked up the kid and then crouching down to him.

"No Kasper" he calmly spoke "We were just talking about something... we were talking about some works. Anyways, have you been doing well with others?"

"Yes, father" Kasper nodded.

Madsen IV patted him.

"Good boy, now go out and play, will you?"

Kasper then runs away to the hallway, until he is not seen anymore.

"...You know, I have an urge to establish diplomatic relationship with this Federal Republic of Flashia" said the king, so far he is the only one who is not Esterrian that correctly pronounce the formal name of Flashia.

The statement surprised Fosberg a little bit.

"Why do you think we should do it?"

"Because even though it is a dialect, they speak the same language as ours. Which is strange because I never heard that we sent men there before" as Madsen stood up and face his assistant again "That piece of paper just opened my eyes..."

Now let me explain something first, before the Naeslagt spies got caught by the so-called 'Politi', one of them managed to smuggle a newspaper out of the country to the homeland. Even though it was indeed a dialect with different words and meaning they came with, to the King's shock, he could perfectly understand the content with no problem, not to mention the picture and how the text looks in general.

"I think it will be better if we were friendly with each other and trade some things. However, I'm afraid that it's already a disaster before it already begun..."

"Do not fret your majesty" Fosburg reassured the monarch "I am sure everything will work fine"

Madsen looked at this assistant, nodding and slowly turning his frown upside down.

"I suppose you are correct, everything will work out just fine..."

...

The island of Gevaka is a large, flat island that is rather isolated from the rest of Agevær and Flashia in general, sticking out the West of the country, situated in between the Northern landmass and Jugoflašija (Yugoflashia). And it's this isolation that made it the KUG's target for an invasion.

Gevaka, (Agevær,) Flashia, 15/4/1702 As the ships comes to the shores of the island, The Kingdoms Union Gestrae forces, which we call them KUG for simplification, set foot on the beaches of the island. It has been quite a long journey, as the ships had to go further distances to avoid the Esterrian coastal area to keep this expedition a secret until their arrival.

On the South-Eastern coast, the flagship along with 3 others began to unload, along with the disembarking passengers. One of them is a blonde-haired nobel, who brought with him a slave of his, his favorite one mind you.

The silver feline looked around the island she has set foot of, it's full of flat, green plains with a small mountain in the background.

She thought to herself: 'It's so beautiful...'

It has certainly been quite awhile since she has seen the nature, as the cat had been kept in a big city surrounded by fortress walls. She imagined the animals here that are free to do whatever they please, without fear of being hunted by humans, something that saddened her since they came to this island.

But at the same time, her mood has brightened up a bit, as this has gave her a short glimpse of what being free looks lime, what it feels to not be chained up as a slave for pleasure.

'...Maybe one day...'

...

"What is this? I thought this island is going to have more people for me?" the noble retorted, who got infuriated by the fact that it seems empty in terms of population.

"Well, you see sir..." replied Alexandre, who is the captain of the La Ferdinan flagship "I was not informed about this fact"

"Then you should have known better!"

This statement alone baffled the admiral, if no one informs you about something, then how would knowing better solve that problem? He took a deep breath to keep his composure.

"...I will see what I can do then... On other news, shall we start building our naval base?"

"Yes, build a harbor for our ships, so that I could bring more of mine to here"

'Oh dear gods, please keep me from punching this bastard Enzo in the face'

Enzo, the blonde noble here often angers Alexandre for a multitude of reasons since his ascension to admiral. And it's mainly because he views this noble as a very obnoxious person, as someone who is quite selfish and arrogant at that.

"Very well sir, we will have it done"

The noble leaves with the leashed cat demi-human slave, to prepare to go more inland. Alexandre could only sigh disapprovingly before getting back to his work.

The President of Flashia, Simon Thomasen had been handed a piece of paper reporting on what had unfolded in the last hour. In the room with him are Axel Kolsgaard and Anton Dam, the Minister of National Security and Defense respectively.

Presidential Office, Barminde, Tilenogtyve, 15/4/2017 They're having a small, secret meeting in the office and the subject today is Gevaka. Dam speaks first, as he's the Defense Minister after all so he knows this before both do.

"So here's the breakdown of the situation, UAVs flying over the island has so far visually confirmed landing of enemy troops on the island in South, South-West and South-East of Gevaka" as Dam shows pictures taken from above via a projector.

"Considering that it took a day for them to arrive, we think they may have went around Esterria as our counterpart there could not confirm that they were there"

The Defense minister ends his briefing.

"Any questions?"

"I do" the president raised his hand, with his eyes briefly looking down on the paper "What do you think is their next move?"

"Considering Gevaka's strategic location, we think they may be trying to cut off our supply lines to our allies in Esterria or in the worst case scenario: an invasion of some sort although it probably wouldn't end well for them..."

"Okay, so what about the buildings and units we will face?" inquired Korsgaard.

"The occupiers have already shown signs of harbor constructions, as you could see in this" Dam switches back to the picture from the Southeast "And this picture" and the Southwest, both showing wooden structures that seems to indicate construction site "We also spotted convoys of carriages, that will probably join at around the center of the island based on their direction"

"Anything else we should know about?" asked the president.

"Yes, and that is that there are... slaves, they're using slaves..."

"That is one more thing to be careful of... and one more excuse..." the President muttered "Thank you Dam, you are dismissed for now"

"Thank you, Mr. President"

The Minister of Defense turns off the projector, retrieving his USB that contained the picture then leaves the room.

"...Axel, this plan is your ideas, all of them" Simon spoke up again "I'm not saying it is not going to work, but it just... feels wrong to do"

"I myself do feel so too" replied the NatSec "But this is for us to teach them a lesson or two as well as rattle the population up against them. You've said you wanted an united front against those enslaving bunches no?"

"Yes but... this isn't what I was thinking of!"

"I understand Simon, but sometimes, choosing the most questionable path can be the best out of all the choices as that's how it works at times, for now though, we just hope for the best... Anyways, what's our next move in response?"

"...I'm thinking we would have to make a statement and see if we can get some to enlist or something... "

"That would be... difficult but doable. Oh, I should mention that will have an important meeting in 10 minutes, so I can't be here for longer"

"Yeah go ahead, you can leave now"

"Thank you Simon"

The National Security minister leaves the office, leaving the president the only one in the room.

"God, now I feel like I'm in the crosshair of the public now..."

Royal Castle, Einskirka, Esterria The doors to the throne room of the Royal Castle of the Commonwealth open for the Esterrian head-of-government with a scroll in hand. Upon walking in, the doors behind would be closed by the Royal Life Guards and he would take more steps before stopping before the Queen before him.

"Your Majesty!" he declared "I have brought to you urgent news from Flashia!"

The young Queen nods in acknowledgement.

"Then we shall hear what news you bring forth"

The Prime Minister would unfold the scroll as soon as her words were out, then beginning to read the content

"According to their Ministry of Defense, the Federal Republic of Flashia have confirmed landings of Kingdoms Union Gestrae forces in one of the islands that is of rightful Flash territory, located in the middle of the 2 landmasses to the West"

The news shocked the queen, the navy had reported that they have not encountered KUG warships, and the fact the Flashia didn't even resist. Something is not right here...

"How did they went past us? Why did Flashia not resist?"

"According to our counterpart, the island, Gevaka is a 'natural heritage', so no base was set up there. Also they think that they might have gone around us as they have spotted them a day prior"

Natural heritage? Is it the equivalent of holy regions? Also, how were Flashia able to observe them from yesterday? These facts baffled the queen for a good while, until she decided the questions shall be answered later.

"Do we have a rough equivalent of their size? Or at least any pictures?"

"Actually yes" Gessel closes the scroll and put it away, before grabbing something "The ambassadors of Flash embassy had just given us these pictures directly from the mails, I think you see it yourself"

Marie ordered a guard to retrieve the pictures from Gessel's hand to her. After they're now in her hands, she inspect the picture. They were crystal clear pictures, as expected from Flashia, depicting numbers of KUG ships at different coastal areas of the island from the skies. She begins to be concerned of the KUG forces in Gevaka, as what seems like a nightmare, is becoming all too real.

"What if they are there to stage a bigger operation against us? What if they plan to invade us or Flashia?"

"That is exactly what Flashia thought of, although they cannot confirm this for the time being"

The queen sighs, thinking about what would happen if the Kingdoms Union came knocking at her door. The Esterrian Royal Army would be too weak to resist the invasion, so subjugation is inevitable.

"What about the fighter jet? Will they send us those aircrafts?"

"I'm afraid no. However, they did say they will send a squadron over to Esterria"

That news brighten up Marie's mood, as she was relieved that fighter jet, although won't end up in her army's arsenal directly, will still be part of her own forces.

"Oh, and one more thing..."

The young queen then looked up to him, confused yet again.

"...What is it?"

"Deliveries of the new weaponry have been slowed, but only slightly, it will be continued as normal"

She's honestly surprised, a powerful force led by the continent's superpower is now between Flashia and her commonwealth, and yet the only effect is a mere insignificant slowdown of the transfer of the equipment.

"I wonder how they would manage to do so, avoiding their ships that would have seized them..."

"I'm not sure myself, but rest assured, we would still have enough weapon and training in a few months, only delayed by few days"

A smile was planted on the young Queen's face.

"Thank you Gessel, you may have your pictures back"

The Royal Guard then takes the pictures and place it back into the minister's hand

"You may be dismissed"

"Thank you, your majesty"

Gessel leaves the throne room, with the scrolls and the pictures with him.

...

Agevær is considered one of the more 'civilized' parts of Flashia as they're part of the Northern Landmass. However, upon hearing the news of the invasion of their own island, the streets turned into nothing different than another Kawagrzmotia.

"Shit, if this keeps up we won't be able to hold the street!"

The situation has escalated as the media would witness rare scenes of the wrath of the 'Ageværmenn' who took to the street. FCNN, Dagens Begivenheder, Silver Eagle all had something significant to report about, and no one, not even the radio channel of the Kawagrzmots believe what they were seeing.

"Stay clear! Pressure cannon on the way!"

A siren-blaring black trucks would shoot water out of their hoses and into the rioters with the goal of dispersing those participating and quell some resistance in the process.

As they're being sprayed on, lines of shields would begin to slowly advance on the pushed back rioters. Scenes like this are happening across multiple places in the state comprising of islands, and it's those that triggered a Home Guard response.

6-wheeled APCs would push through the improvised barricades while pops of tear gas being launched could be heard in the background.

"How the hell did this happen?"

"You could probably blame the government for that, they let them took the island with no fighting"

"...I might be crazy saying this, but I think they're planning something"

Together with the local police forces, they would attempt within their power to stabilize the situation.

"Anyway, I've heard some Land Army unit would be activated and deployed here soon"

"Really?"

"Yes, really"

"What for?"

"Use your brain... Gevaka"

"Ah, right"

It's going to be a sleepless night for the 2 separate security forces as arrests are made and the rioters dragged into transporter to the slammer.

"GEVAKA ER AGEVÆR!" (GEVAKA IS AGEVÆR!) would be the chant that they'd hear echoing off the asphalt.
