[Rewritten North and South]

Somewhere off the coast of ???, ??/??/???? The normally relatively peaceful coastal area has become filled with warship, as the unidentified object from the previous day created a spook across this country. Often seen as a sign of impending doom, of an imminent invasion from something, the military braced for the worst.

The same captain from before would again take to the sea in a different state of mind, an aftermath of what unfolded yesterday.

"Is there a country to our North?" he mumbled to himself "No it could not be right? But then again, North is Uncivilized, there could be something that no one knows..."

Then his thought was interrupted by a sailor who walked up to him.

"Sir, unknown naval object to our North"

North, that's the direction where that something is probably there. And so, the captain checked his compass to verify the direction then looked North, only to see something grey in the distance.

"...Are you sure it is not a rock?" he said to the sailor.

"Well it's not anywhere in our map so I think so"

The sailor in question had a point, rocks like that should be on the map so it can be avoided by any ships going past. Another thing is that since when does rock get closer and closer even though it should not be possible by the direction they're heading?

He took out his spyglass to take a closer look. Upon doing so, he realized that it's not a mere rock, it was a massive grey ship, with the size so massive that it puts even the biggest in the continent to shame while still being relatively fast even without sails.

"Put the entire crew on high alert!" the captain shouted "Get all the weapons ready!"

The entire ship followed through with the order. Tens of cannons are now manned on one side, that being starboard in this case. Muskets were being brought out of the armory to the sailors on the deck who are now taking cover at the railings. And for the rest, they could only wait for what's going to happen next.

The captain looked through his spyglass again... only to be met wit a sight of extreme peculiarities. The captain saw 3 sailors were standing on the other ship, one is holding a device with 2 lens, presumably their equivalent of the spyglass he's holding. Said sailor with the double len would spot him, put it down then proceeded to wave at him for in an obviously friendly way.

The captain puts down his spyglass with a baffled expression in his face. He then promptly puts the glass back on, inadvertently confirming the fact that it wasn't an illusion of any kind as the opposing sailors kept throwing up friendly gestures with no intent of hostility on their side.

The captain puts down his spyglass again, before turning to a sailor nearby with his musket at the ready.

"Let me ask you a question..." he said to the sailor "...If those sailors on that monstrous ship there are very friendly towards us, then what shall we do?"

The captain asking this to his subordinates is because he did not know what to do. He knew how to command this warship, knew how to fight with his crews, but dealing with a possible giant warship that gives off absolutely no intent of an hostile engagement isn't one of the skills he possess.

"...If they allow us, then we can just board them for some questioning" said the sailor "We can figure out who they are and where they are from without any shot taken"

A worry went through the captain, at the same time though, delight also came as he looked back at the approaching grey ship. Perhaps they could establish a friendly relation on a get go, and perhaps they could help with the current situation his homeland is facing.

"Very well then, we shall approach them in a friendly manner. And in that case, put away the guns!"

...

Unknown Southern Ocean, 29/3/2017 USO is a designation given by the Flash MoD alongside UWO, UEO and UNO (wait wot?) for the West, East and North respectively in response to the apparent transfer of the Federal Republic to a completely new world.

In this mysterious ocean, an amphibious assault ship has set sail towards a country to the South where they had rudely entered their airspace.

"They're putting the weapons away..." said a sailor standing on the front deck, next to a ramp for V/STOL aircrafts holding a binocular with 2 others "And they're now coming towards us. Looks like they got the gist now lads"

"So what are we waiting for?" said another of the Flash sailors "Let's get them a welcoming party shall we?"

The three Flash sailors then turned around back inside as they now begin the process of preparation for the boarding of the centuries back sailors.

...

After a while, the sail ship bearing the sky blue-white-red tricolor would make it over to the behemoth of a vessel. While they closed distance with each other, awe continues to be shown in the faces of the entire crew.

When they got a closer distance however, an amplified voice from the other ship spoke out to them.

"So uh... do you speak Builtish* or something?"

That voice surprised the captain and his crew the most, even further than their first impression of the ship up close.

"They speak the Inter-Civilized Language?!?" muttered a sailor.

The Inter-Civilized Language as its name suggests is an universal language of the Civilized World. They're really only spoken in what is considered the Civilized Regions and is rarely used outside it, or at least amongst the locals.

"What even is Builtish?"

"Perhaps that's what they call it..." said the captain.

"I see, but how do we send the words to them?"

They do not know what to do at this point, as there's no way they could send over a reply at this distance.

"Just nod if you understand, we can see you just fine" said the voice again, to which the captain would nod.

"Alright next question... do you need a ladder to get on the ship?"

The captain nodded again seeing that there's no way they could get on the ship without the assistance of the other crew.

"Just a minute, we'll be right back"

It was a surprise for them that possible language barrier turned out to be non-existent, as both parties are able to speak the Inter-Civilized Language fluently. In other words, communication was easier than the captain had thought. And now the warship's crew awaits for the other to bring up the ladder

...

5 minutes later The captain along with some of his best sailors would finally get on board the massive ship, which would have been thought to be something completely impossible a while ago and also by convention.

What is also would be out of the question by the norms is the fact that the crew of this ship they're now standing welcomed them with warm arms instead of spears and swords in line with the less advanced Uncivilized Regions of the North.

"So... remarkable..." said one of his accompanying sailor as he looked around in awe "I cannot believe we had the chance to see a ship of this size without sails while at the same time be so welcomed here like we are some kind of friendly guest!"

The captain nodded.

"I too find it rather spectacular that the crew here gave us the chance to get on the ship without even firing a shot. All it took was some words with each other"

"Excuse me gentlemen..." said a voice behind them who then turned around "Are you all from the ship with blue-white-red flag?"

The man that they're now speaking to is one with grey hair, a beard and glasses while wearing a suit. The last two are generally only found in the (most advanced) civilized countries. And it's this alone that would shock the captain.

"Uh..."

"Oh! I apologize... Yes, we are from that ship!"

"Oh, so you do speak Builtish"

"If that is what you call the Inter-Civilized Language then indeed we do"

"Interesting..." the man then reaches his open right hand out to them "I'm Oliver Magovac (Ma-go-vats), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Federal Republic of Flashia"

As they processed that information, the captain stood confused to the man now identified as Oliver's gesture.

"...Just in case saying, we do handshakes as gestures of trust, cooperation... you name it"

"Ah, I see"

The captain would then grasp the Foreign Minister's hand, shaking them for a short while.

"You can call me Captain Mendejerik, Royal Esterrian Navy"

"So I take it your country's name is Esterria?"

"The Commonwealth of Esterria, yes... anyways, what is your purpose coming here to our waters?"

"Well, if I'm gonna be honest here, we just want to know where exactly are we, who are neighbors are, and perhaps establish diplomatic relations"

Those words spilled confusion amongst the Esterrians.

"...What do you mean by where exactly you are?"

"I meant that somehow we got transported here from another world. I know that sounds ridiculous but trust me, it's all real"

Upon that being said, Mendejerik was reminded of something, something about another country supposedly getting transported here from other world.

"I see... then in that case, would you mind if we lead you to our capital of Einskirka?"

"We sure don't, take us there"

The Esterrian captain nodded.

"Very well, I will be expecting you to follow us"

"Will do"

Mendejerik and his aides then walked away, going back to their ship.

"Sir, you sure we can trust them?" said one of the sailors as they took their steps "I mean they could immediately siege the city as soon as we arrive"

"If they do have the intention to do so, they would have killed us on the spot" said the captain "Additionally, they probably already know our capital's exact location already"

"How do you know that?"

"I saw their ensigns, they had emblems with the exact same red background and cross if my memories serve me right"

...

Einskirka Port The Royal Navy's staff officers had just received information from one of their ships leading a foreign ship carrying a diplomat onboard. According to them, they hail from a country of Fideral Republic of Flashia, whose name already casts some resentment among the officers.

"There is something I do not understand" said one officer standing at the port "Why would Mendejerik be welcoming barbarian republic ship?"

"I do not either" said another "But if he's the one leading them in, then there must be something for us. After all, Mendejerik isn't known to be the one to take great risks in terms of ship coming towards us"

"I cannot argue against that, but what if they ravage our city?"

"They won't, if my guesses are correct, that one white creature belonged to them and so they would already know where this city is at this point. Besides, if they did, Mendejerik wouldn't be alive and then we would have them killed"

"Uhh... lads?" said a third one.

"Hmm?"

"Is my eyes working correctly? I swear I'm seeing our ship leading a really massive ship"

"What massive ship- Oh..."

It didn't take a spyglass held by the third did the other officers spot a giant grey ship being led by their own off the distance. Extreme shock and awe was displayed on their faces as it apparently could actually keep up with their warship for one this size, not to mention it doesn't even have a single sail.

A black boat then emerges from they grey ship, carrying men wearing a really obvious orange vest, cutting across the water at such impossible speed with no oak in sight.

"By the gods, what are they made of?!"

"They look like they're hundreds of spheras* high!"

After awhile, the boat arrives at the port, and the unarmed men would get on the dock.

"Get your ass up here quick!"

"Give me a sec damn it!"

Those two sentences they picked up as the trio watched inadvertently surprised them even further as to how they could speak the universal language of the Civilized World.

"...By this point are they even barbarian in the first place?" as all of the sailors in orange and dark shade of blue would get on the dock, looking over to their shoulders to the ship they came from before one puts some sort of black box to his mouth.

"Zeta-6 on site, standby for directions"

Judging by how he talked, it must be their military way's of communication over distance. They watched as the foreign sailors did their job while they awaited for the grey ship.

"I suppose it's safe to say they're quite advanced... and peaceful"

To which the other two officers nodded.

...

A man of higher-class is seen looking out the window of the castle located smack in the center of a really young castle. Built in response to the recent situations that involve the Commonwealth, it has been the place that houses their Queen.

And today, it will be the host of a meeting between a previously unknown republic and their own country.

"Sir Gessel?" said a guard of the castle, prompting him to turn around "I've been told our guests will be here in 5 minutes, I suggest you go meet our guests soon"

"Very well then" said Gessel "...What about Her Majesty?"

"She's already in the room with the other nobles"

"Good then"

Gessel then walked off from the window, now following the guard back in.

...

Crowds of city dwellers had formed up at the port of Einskirka, with the point of interest being the ship of would have been impossible size docking here. As the ship barely fits inside, the door of its stern would open up to the world.

Immediately after, a black self-propelled carriage of sleek and rather aesthetically pleasing design emerged from the ship. Then turning on flashing blue lights in a pattern. The same design would appear 2 more times, the last one without any light before the last two turned out to be a slightly bigger design with more of a box design with bars of blue light on top.

The 5 vehicles in their column would then make their way out of the port while a man blocked the gate where they would be going out.

"You shall not pass!" he shouted as the leading vehicle got closer "Go back to the North where you come from you uncivilized bastards-"

Suddenly, a loud sound was emitted from the lead vehicle. Many would cover their ears by reflex while the man was scared to the point of running off. And after he did, the sound stopped after a short while and the convoy could now continue on their way.

(Here's the vehicles for reference)

...

5 minutes pass, and the Foreign Minister of Flashia is now facing the front entrance of a castle. As his entourage and bodyguards in suits as well as the heavily-armed operators from the vans exits their vehicles, Oliver then made his way to the castle.

He and his company, sans the operators who stayed behind, walked down the path, meeting the sight of 18th century soldiers in sky blue while they open up the gate for the Flash delegates. Upon entering the castle, a senior man was already waiting tor them.

"I take it as you are Oliver Magovac?" said the man.

"I sure am" replied the Foreign Minister.

"It is an honor to meet you here today. My name is Gessel Kiel, the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth"

"It's a pleasure to meet you too Mr. Kiel"

Gessel nodded.

"Come with me to the meeting room shall we?"

The Esterrian minister then turned around and started walking with the Flash following behind him. He would lead them to the hallway then to a door of the aforementioned meeting room. The guard standing outside would open the door for him with Gessel walking in first then Oliver and his others.

"Your majesty" said Oliver's Esterrian counterpart "I present to thee, the diplomatic delegates from the Fediral Republic of Flashia represented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oliver Magovac!"

'It's Fe-de-ral but close enough' thought the Flash Foreign Minister.

"Very well" said a feminine voice, indicating this to be 'Her Majesty', the queen "Please, if you will, come sit down with us"

The delegates then took their own respective seat, facing a number of Esterrian nobles, Gessel and the Queen herself who looks shockingly young.

"Now, we shall begin with an introduction of your country" said a noble "What is this Fidiral Republic of yours all about"

"With due respect sir, it's Fe-de-ral" said Oliver.

"Blah blah blah... Just tell us who you are"

"Šupak... (Asshole...)" the Flash Foreign Minister mumbled to himself "Ahem, so the Federal Republic of Flashia, as you might know already is located to the North of your country. It mainly consists of 11 different states with their own culture and autonomy, basically we are functioning as 11 countries"

"Interesting..." muttered the Queen "It is like how the Commonwealth is... minus the Republic part of course"

"Huh, that's quite interesting indeed"

"Next question..." said the noble "Do you know anything about the white winged object that flew over the capital from the past days"

"I do actually"

This answer caught the Esterrian diplomatic party off-guard.

"H-How, and why?"

"Because simply put, it's actually one of ours. We sincerely apologize for the intrusion of your airspace, we didn't mean to scare anyone here, we just want to know where exactly are we"

Normally, the perpetrator would be the one denying the accusation. But Flashia is different, they immediately took responsibility for that incident and apologized on the spot.

"I-I see..." said the Queen "I accept your apology"

"Erm... What are the values that your uh... Fe-de-ral Republic? Is that correct?"

The Foreign Minister nodded.

"Right, what are the value that your Federal Republic stand by?"

"We are a country built by the people, run by the people. We believe in freedom and democracy, we believe in world peace and cooperations between different countries"

"Peace?" said another noble "Hah, ridiculous!"

"...I'm sorry what?"

"If you believe in peace, why would you send out the white dragon at us?" the noble then stood up "Your country is nothing more than a barbarian warmonger!"

The noble then pulled out a flintlock at Oliver, which quickly turned out to be a really bad idea as the bodyguards that came with him all pulled out their pistols at him. The bewildered noble looked at them in confusion with the atmosphere in the room clearly dropping.

"...I suggest you put down that gun before things get ugly" said the Flash Foreign Minister held at gunpoint "And we don't want that in our first meeting isn't that right?"

"Nispen! Put down the gun right this instant!" yelled the Esterrian minister.

The noble looked at Gessel, then the Queen who had the disapproving look as she slowly shook her head. Finally, the gun was holstered and the noble sat back down.

"Idemo tamo..." (There we go...) the Flash bodyguards would then also back down.

"On behalf of the Commonwealth, I apologize for what had happened" said the Queen "I do not know what got to his mind"

"It's alright, not like we're not expecting this to happen in one way or another. Anyways, any more questions?"

"Yes actually" said a female noble "Was that Gošbanian you spoke before?"

Oliver looked at her in confusion.

"I'm sorry what?"

"That phrase you said earlier when Nispen put away his gun, I could have swear I heard a Gošbanian phrase in there"

"With due respect Ms... What's your name?"

"Velstra"

"Velstra, ah... I'm a Nexucian (Ne-xuts-ian), I don't know anything about Gošbanian except now that I know our languages are similar"

"Ah, I see then..."

"So any more?"

The Esterrian stood quiet, with the queen looking around her and back to the Flash Foreign Minister.

"I do not think so, no"

"Right, so I will ask you some questions... What is the Commonwealth of Esterria?"

"The Commonwealth of Esterria is a kingdom of the Northern Gestrae" said the Esterrian Prime Minister "The region of the continent we are standing on right now. It consists of duchies (more like vassals) that are integral to the territory of the commonwealth as we strive for a common prosperity"

"I see... Next question: I've noticed that Her Majesty here looks shockingly young for the crown. I apologize if I'm being rude here but I was just wondering why that is"

The Queen seems a little unhappy hearing that.

"You have to understand Mr. Magovac" said Velstra, the female noble "Queen Marie III ascended to the throne at the age of 13 in such a hard time, after the former King and Queen was assassinated following a decree to abolish slavery"

"Oh dear, I'm sorry for your loss... Ahem, what is the current situation that faces the Commonwealth today?"

"...Why do you ask that?" said a noble (not Nispen).

"Oh well, I thought that I could get some context here"

'...In reality it has to do with the fact that I read too many books about a country getting transferred into a fantasy world' thought the Flash Foreign Minister 'Why am I like this?'

"Oh, uh, well... if I'm going to be honest, we're badly losing a war against rebels in our Western region of Havenklein. Against the enemy that calls themselves the Esterrian Association of Slavers..."

Oliver nodded to his words.

"Mr. Magovac?" said Queen Marie III "Are you mad at something? I saw one of your eyes twitching"

In truth, he was a bit surprised that the young queen could pick up something like that. But nonetheless, he continued.

"To tell the truth, in terms of slavery, I myself are quite resentful against it. Now that brings us to the next question, do you accept this following proposals?" Oliver then pulled out a really high-quality paper "The Federal Republic of Flashia will establish formal diplomatic relations with the Commonwealth of Esterria with the embassy built in the capital. In exchange, Flashia will help by any mean necessary to assist and support the Commonwealth in its development"

That raised some eyebrow from the young queen.

"What exact details does this proposal specifically have?"

"Well for one, we will be willing to buy food if your situation allows it"

"I see then... wait if we are to go by your approximate size judging by your description of 11 states, shouldn't you have your own sustainable food supplies?"

"Well truthfully... ever since this has unfolded, Kawagrzmotia hasn't doing well"

The queen nodded as according to what Oliver had said, Kawagrzmotia must be the one that produces at least most of Flashia's food.

"In the meantime, you can buy some stuff from our side too"

"Does it include military equipment?" said Gessel.

"I don't know really, but if you ask me, I'm sure the Parliament will allow transfer of such now that you're fighting against slave owners soon"

The Queen nodded.

"Very well then, we shall accept"

Oliver signalled a nearby Esterrian guard to come here, and when he got there, the Foreign Minister then passed another high-quality piece of paper to him.

"Give it to these ladies and gentlemen here" he said to the guard.

The guard followed through with his request.

"You just have to sign it in and we're good"

Upon meeting their eyes with the content of the pure white paper, they were shocked as to how small but readable it is. And although the content is a bit different compared to what he said such as referring Esterria as a 'Country to Flashia's South', they would officially sign the paper, officially solidifying the new ties between North and South.

Geez it took longer than expected.
