The part you've all been waiting for!

ALINA'S POV

"Come on in guys! Don't just stand there like lemons!" Bianca told us as she led us inside.

As she shut the door behind us, we turned to her with stunned faces.

"Bianca, this isn't a little gathering. This is half the school!" I tell her, utterly confused on what's going on.

The house was crowded not only with people from our year but older kids I recognised and strangers as well.

Some of these looked even older than teenagers.

"Yeah, I mean I thought we were going to have a quiet night in! This is not quiet!" Adrian says after me, anger evident in his voice.

The worst thing you can do to Adrian is lie to him. He hates it.

"I thought your parents were going to be here. Where are they?" Raphael asks her as he looks around for them.

"Guys, chill! It was a little white lie so your parents would let you come. I wasn't going to have some lame sleepover birthday party for my 15th!" She tells us with a big smile on her face.

Lame sleepover?

But me and Adrian hosted a fun sleepover, and she said she really enjoyed.

Did she lie to us? Did she think we were childish?

Does she think we're lame?

"My sister is 5 years older than us so she brought some of her friends as well. By the time my party started more and more people kept coming. But it's all good because they brought lots of alcohol and snacks. It's going to be the talk of the school for the rest of the year" she told us trying to contain her excitement.

"Elle, Reese, Bella and Jake are all around here somewhere. They were all excited for you guys to come, and so am I! I hope you guys enjoy!" Bianca finishes before leaving us to greet some other people who just walked in

We all look to each other in astonishment on what's just happened.

"Should we leave?" Adrian asks.

"I could call my mom to come back but it'll probably take 10 minutes for her to get here" Raphael tells us.

"Yes please! In the meantime, should we try and find the rest of friends to see if they're ok?" I ask them both.

We had texted them and called them but they hadn't answered us.

I'd hate to be alone in somewhere like this, so I want to make sure my friends are ok.

"Let's stick together, okay" I tell them both.

I don't want to get lost in here.

They both nod at me in response instantly.

We wait for Raphael to contact his mom before going off on our little adventure.

"Stay by my side, please. I don't like the look of some of these people" Raphael tells me as he places his hand in front of mine.

I take it, wanting to safe with someone in this house.

Adrian was already walking in front of us trying to find our friends.

We quickly realised that it was no easy feat; we have to squeeze ourselves through the doorways to get to the room we want.

And anytime we got into a room, our friends weren't there.

There was one doorway in particular that Adrian really had to shove and squeeze through to get past, as there was a girl in a red dress that had her tongue down someone's throat.

We all rolled our eyes as we squeezed past them.

You could at least have the courtesy to move or at least be a little bit apologetic if you're blocking half of the entrance.

"Guys, I found Elle and Bella!" Adrian turned around to tell us as he pointed to the sofas at the corner of the lounge.

We hurriedly made our way over to them, happy to see that they were ok.

"Where's Jake?" Adrian asks them.

"Last we saw he was with Reese, who I also haven't seen for sometime" Bella tells us.

That's strange, I wonder where they are.

"My mum is picking us up soon if you guys want a lift back" Raphael asks them to which they happily agree to.

We all agree that Bianca tricking us was out of order, as we didn't say we felt comfortable doing this and being here with strangers.

Strangers who are drunk and are spilling drinks and food everywhere.

"Let's try and find the others, and then we can leave" I tell my friends.

Raphael makes sure his grip on my hand is tight before we start moving around again.

We were just about to leave the living room, but stopped suddenly due to the shouting from behind, directed at us.

"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING!!" A voice screams from behind us.

We all turn around trying to identify where it's coming from, only to come face to face with Reese, who's not alone.

I'm his arms is a girl I've never seen before.

She looks our age though.

Now that I think of it that's the girl in the red dress we had to shove our way through because she was too busy kissing someone.

"WHY THE HELL ARE YOU HOLDING ALINA'S HAND, RAPHAEL? WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!?" Reese screams at Raphael, anger clear in his voice.

"You can't say much. You've got another girl in your arms which is not Alina!" Raphael replies calmly whilst smirking at him.

Reese stared at the girl in his arms before whispering something in her ear making her leave his arms and join in with the rest of the crowd.

I hear Raphael chuckle underneath his breath.

Removing the girl won't remove what I've seen.

"Come here, Alina! You shouldn't hanging out with a lowlife like him!" He tells me as he extends his arm out to be.

"I'm your boyfriend! You can trust me, babe! You can't trust another guy over me, that's like cheating! But if you come to me, then it will all be fine" He tells me with a cruel smile on his face.

He seems to like going on about my cheating on him, when he's the one that doing it.

My heart is beating wildly and sweat drips down my back at my decision, but I know what I need to do.

I remove my hand from Raphael's. He tries to grab it but is unable to as I move my hand as far away from him as I can before walking over to Reese with a sigh.

I don't ever want to see that look of hurt on his face again.

"See Raphael, you are and always will be the last option. No one likes thugs like you, you're going to be alone forever" Reese tells him smugly

I have to contain my anger as I make my way over.

As I get within a couple of feet of Reese, I make eye contact with him, distracting him completely as I give him my best "in love" look I can.

I know it's working as he smirks at me.

I mean it's too bad really, as he should've been looking at my feet.

If he did he would've been able to see that my foot was aiming exactly for his private area.

If he was such a tough guy, he wouldn't have crumpled onto the floor, crying in pain so easily.

It wasn't even that hard of a kick!

I wasn't finished there.

I might have been if he hadn't have said those things about Raphael, but he's got to learn to love with the consequences of his actions.

Reese tries to get back on his feet whilst also swinging his arms and feet at me trying to hit me anywhere.

I just get my stance right before clenching my hand together and swinging at him.

I hit him square in the jaw, not hard enough to cause any damage but hard enough to get the message across.

"Don't talk shit about Raphael or any of my friends again, and if anyone in here is a low life, it's you. We're done!" I tell him before walking back to my friends leaving him a crumpled heap on the floor.

I'm greeted with a group hug from my friends, all of them going on about how awesome and badass I am.

Adrian can't help but brag that him and my brothers helped me learn how to be a bad ass.

They've really helped me, even after one session with them.

I am fully within my rights to defend myself against someone who has hurt me or my friends.

We find out from some boys in our year that Jake headed home about 30 minutes ago, as his dad picked him up.

With that, we all left as Raphael's mum was outside waiting for us.

"Thanks for standing up for me in there. It really meant a lot." Raphael told me with a smile on his face.

"Don't worry about it. No one says that about my friend and gets away with it!" I tell him, showing off my muscles.

"Are you done with that dick for good now?" He asks me with a concerned look on his face.

"Yeah, I refuse to be used by him any longer" I tell him.

"Good, he never deserved you anyway"

We dropped off Elle and Bella first after a great gossip session before we started heading back to my house.

As reached my house, Raphael got out of the car to walk us to the door.

He asked if he could talk to me, alone, so Adrian headed on inside not batting an eyelid at this request.

"I can't do this!" He tells me as he turns to face me.

"Do what?" I ask him confused.

"Pretend tht I see you as a friend, because I don't Alina!" He tells me.

I'm gobsmacked.

"You don't see me as a friend!? So you've been a fake friend to me all this time!?" I scream at him.

How could he say that even after I defended him tonight?

"GO AWAY RAPHAEL, I don't want to see you right now!" I continue screaming at him.

Could my night get any worse!?

"Alina, no that's not what I meant!" Raphael told me as he dragged his hand down his face.

I quickly removed my gaze from him not wanting to look at him right now.

"We'll, what did you mean Raphael!? Because it sounds to me that you don't want anything to do with me!" I tell him, my voice breaking.

I thought I had made true, real friends.

Raphael was my favourite by far!

"I don't want to pretend that I......."

"Pretend that you have what, Raphael!? Spit it out, please!" I plead with him.

I want him to just spit it out, I don't want him to prolong this and hurt me more!

"Pretend that I don't have feelings for you, Alina, because I do!"

"What!?" I breathed in disbelief as I looked towards him.

"Who do you think got you those flowers in class?" Raphael asked me.

"Reese said he did" I tell him, truly lost.

"I did! I dressed up to impress you, but Reese stole them off of me!" He told me, anger in his voice.

"Why didn't you say anything before?" I ask him, genuinely curious.

"Because every time I saw you with him, you looked happy. I'm not selfish, Alina. I wouldn't ruin your happiness just so me and you could become something!" He tells me sincerely.

"And, I know that you probably wouldn't want to date someone like me, I know I bring a lot of threats being the heir to the mafia, which a lot of people aren't comfortable wit-

"I'm comfortable being around Raphael. You don't scare me. Not you, or anything else about you. Have you forgotten that I'm apart of a mafia family too?"

"Well no, but I wasn't sure where you stood" he told me as he awkwardly rubbed his neck.

Raphael took a step towards me as he tucked the loose strand of hair that's as in my face behind my ear.

"Do you think, that you could let me take you on a date?" He asks me, a hint of nervousness in his face.

"I'll make sure it's somewhere with Swedish fish and no olives!" He continued.

"We'll that's sealed the deal! I'd love to go on a date with you!" I tell him sincerely my heart beating out of my chest.

Is that what liking someone is supposed to feel like?

Because I never felt like this with Reese.

The only time my heartbeat increased was out of fear.

"Really!?" He asks me with a smile on his face

I nod at him.

"It's going to be a perfect night, I can't wait!"

In his excitement he picked me up in his arms and twirled me around.

"Raphael, put me down!" I tell him giggling.

He spun me around and extra time before complying.

"I'll text you later, Alina. I can't wait to plan out the perfect date for you!" He tells me as he places me back on my doorstep.

"I can't wait for it, Raphael!" I tell him, already thinking about what we could do.

We're both jolted out of our little staring contest by Raphael's mum beeping for him.

I guess we have been stood here for a while.

"I guess I've got to go, but I'll see you in school tomorrow, right?" He asks me.

"Of course!" I tell him.

He smiles and gives me a wave before turning around to head to his car.

I watch him walk off, with a hop in his step, happiness radiating off of him.

He suddenly freezes before running back to where I stand and placing a little peck on my cheek.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't leave you without doing that. What kind of gentlemen would I be I did?" He tells me before running off again to his moms car.

He gives me a big wave as his mom drives out.

When they are finally out of sight, I turn around to enter my house.

Only, the issue is that I almost trip over my brothers who were in a heap on the floor, having fallen from me opening the door because they were all leaning against it trying to see what was going on.

"Alina, your home! We had no idea, you were just outside!" Matheo told me with an innocent face.

Brothers, they truly are unbelievable sometimes.
