Nyx's pov- I grabbed some of the weapons that were on the table and cautiously made my way out of the room.

I walked down the dark halls quietly, my eyes scanning the area for potential threat.

My eyes landed on a cell, a boy who looked two or three years younger than me was curled up at the far end of the cell.

I looked away and continued walking. It's not my business anyway

'help him' Gabriella's voice rang at the back of my head and I groaned in annoyance

Why did she have to be so fuckin good? We don't even know him but she wants to help. Tsk

I hesitantly went back to the cell and crouched down Infront of it. The boy noticed me and flinched

The cell was locked and I didn't know where the keys were. I smiled to myself because now, I don't have to help.

'Go look for the keys dipshit!' Gabriella's voice snapped at me and I pouted

I saw a guard passing by, a bundle of keys in his hand. I crept up behind him and snapped his neck, carefully lowering his body and took the keys

'Happy?'

'Just help the damn kid'

I sighed and unlocked the cell. I reached my hand in it to help him up but he flinched away

"Listen here you little shit, you better get your ass up while I'm being nice" I snapped at him

I watched him intently with my dark eyes and he hesitantly got up, I finally got a better view of him and God he looked terrible

"Come on" I said and pulled him out of the cell, as gently as I could

"Take it" I said as I handed him a gun I stole from the torture room earlier

The kid just gawked at the gun like an idiot. I sighed in exasperation and shoved it into his hands

"If you wanna get out of here alive, you're gonna have to listen to me. You understand?" I said and after some time, he nodded

I held his hand and led him through the halls. I heard some footsteps and I pushed him behind a wall, I put my hand on my lips, signalling him to be quiet

I listened carefully as the footsteps drew closer. Two men

I came out from behind the wall and elbowed the nearest one in the neck, banging his head on the wall, effectively knocking him out

I saw the second one's fist coming and I ducked. I jabbed him in the ribs and slit his throat

I looked back at the kid and saw his eyes wide with terror, hands shaking as he took several steps back

"If I wanted to hurt you I would've done that a long time ago. Now walk" I said bluntly

When I saw he was still not moving, I grabbed his hand and dragged him along

"Hey! Get back in your cell!" I heard someone tell and turned to see the head guard

"Go hide" I whispered to the kid and turned my attention back to the head guard

"Look, I really don't want to mess up that handsome face, so why don't you just walk away?" I suggested

"Get back in your cell bitch or I will fuckin blow your brains out" he said as he pointed a gun at me

I shrugged and threw the small dagger in my hand, it went straight into his neck, his eyes went wide, he dropped the gun as both his hands went to his neck where blood was gushing out

I waited till I was sure he was dead before moving closer and grabbing the gun. I made my way down the hall, looking around for any more guards

'You forgot the kid'

'Shit'

I went back and saw him hiding behind a wall, on the floor, his hands on his ears

"Get up" I said and pulled him up

I dragged him along with me quickly, desperate to get out of this hellhole. There were no more encounters with any guards which didn't sit well with me

Something's wrong but I pushed that to the back of my head. We reached the exit of the warehouse when I heard a voice

"Stop right there doll" the voice said and I froze. I turned back and saw Luke, a shit eating grin plastered on his ugly face

"Where do you think you're going?" He asked

I didn't respond as I glared at him, my grip on the kid tightening. Luke's eyes diverted to the kid and he smirked, I sneered at him, covering the kid with my body

"Easy there doll. I'm not gonna hurt you, just go back to your cell quietly" he said

"Like hell I will" I growled at him

"Oh? I see the doll has grown some wings. Don't worry, I'll cut them off for you" he said as he brought out a gun, shooting me in the leg and I groaned

My body falling to the floor with the kid still in my arms. Luke came closer and yanked my hair, forcing me to look at him

"I told you not to act tough before doll. You can never escape me, I will always be here, haunting you" he whispered in my ear

"You're still as stupid as ever I see" I said with a smirk and I saw the confusion in his eyes

He only had an effect on Gabriella, not on me. I snatched his gun while he was distracted and shot him in the chest

He fell back, clutching his chest, desperately trying to stop his bleeding.

I shakily stood up, pulling the kid up with me as we walked out of the warehouse. We walked through the bushes, and that strange feeling came back

Something was seriously wrong, it felt too easy. My eyes widened in realization, a fuckin trap!

I heard the bushes rustle and I turned in time to see huge men surrounding us with guns pointed at us

"Kid" I whispered and he hesitantly looked at me

"If I don't make it out of here, run. Like your life depends on it because it does" I told him, not tearing my gaze from the men

Where are the idiot brothers when you need them?!

"I suggest you go back inside before the boss gets angry and decides to come get you himself" the one Infront said and I frowned

Luke was in no position to made an order right now, it doesn't make sense. Luke was an idiot, he couldn't have such a strong army of loyal men

Viktoria is dead so it couldn't be her either, which only leads me to one conclusion. Viktoria wasn't in charge, neither is Luke which only means there's someone else

They were both just pawns in a much bigger game. When does all this end?

One of them walked closer and grabbed the kid and I shot him in the head. The others looked like they wanted to intervene but just stood there which only made my frown deepen

If they wanted to kill me they would've done it immediately I shot their friend, which means their boss wants me alive

Antonio's pov-

We had arrived in the location Gabriella had sent us. Our men were in another van, they would surround the place, killing any one in sight while we look for Gabriella

"Don't draw attention to yourselves. We're outnumbered, we need to get rid of a significant amount of them while not blowing our cover.

We'll take them by surprise so they don't have time to reenforce, does everyone understand?" I said and they all nodded

"Twins, Matteo, I need you guys to stay in the van" I said and they all glared at me

"Like hell we will, our sister's in there, don't you dare try to stop us from helping" Xander snapped at me

"You will not be going in there. It's too dangerous, it would be easier knowing I don't have to watch out for you guys" I tried to reason with them

"I'm the best fighter you've got. You said it yourself, we're outnumbered, you need all the help you can get.

The sooner you make a decision the sooner we can get our sister back. You choose!" Xander spat out as he glared at me

I hated to admit it but he did have a point

"Enough with the bickering. Antonio just take them with you, I want my sorellina back immediately" Domenico said and I sighed before nodding

We all left the van except Domenico because he had to hack into the cameras to prevent them from detecting us.

As we walked we heard some footsteps. It was seen before it was heard, someone had shot all five guards down.

I turned immediately to see Raphael's brother, Alessio, holding a gun with a silencer. There was a crazy glint in his eyes that I knew all too well

We killed every guard in sight as we walked, we accidentally stumbled upon a bleeding man. I looked closely and my eyes widened slightly

Luke was laying motionless on the floor with a bullet wound on his chest. I moved close to him and checked his pulse

"He's still alive. Take him to the van" I ordered one of my men

"I thought he was-"

"We'll discuss this later. Focus" I cut off Xavier

As we walked we heard a gunshot far away. We rushed to the sound and hid behind some bushes

I heard some men talking and I signed for them to get rid of the men and the men began to drop, one after the other

We stepped out of the bushes and my eyes instantly landed on my sorella. My legs moved without my permission and I crouched down Infront of her

"Took you long enough" she growled at me and I frowned

That's unlike Gabriella

"Gabriella listen-"

"How many times do I have to say I'm Nyx? Are you guys deaf?!" She snapped, cutting off Alessandro

I noticed movements behind her and I turned my head and saw a kid behind her, gripping her shirt tightly

"Who?" I asked her

"Some kid Gabriella forced me to help" she said with annoyance dripping in her voice

I frowned, why was she addressing herself as Nyx and talking about herself like she was a different person?

"We should leave" Raphael said and I noticed Derek, and Pedro walking towards us

"We've taken care of all the men. We also planted bombs all around the place so unless you wanna die I suggest we leave now" Pedro said

I moved closer to Gabriella and gathered her in my arms and she scowled at me

"I can walk, I was walking fine before. If you must carry anyone, then carry the kid, he can barely walk" she grumbled and I shook my head

"I'm not letting you walk on an injured leg bambina. If you're so worried about that kid then I'll have one of my men carry him" I assured her but she just glared at me

"I missed you bambina" I said and kissed her forehead tenderly

"Enough of this sappy shit, you're gonna make me throw up" she said with an annoyed look on her face which caused me to chuckle

I carried her back to the van, making sure someone took the kid along as well

I finally felt at peace with my sorella in my arms. If only I knew there was so much more to come
