Nancy looked in the hallway and almost six more men took the flight of stairs. She wonders who was the unlucky one and started getting the stairs. Anytime the shooting could start and she wanted to be in the warmth of her little abode.

She walked to the fourth floor only to find Demon facing her door while one of his men was kicking at her door. And, it soon fell giving into the torture. Her soul left her body for a moment while one of his men spotted her looking. She was quick to get her eyes down and started taking the stairs higher. Only when she was convinced she was out of their sight she sat on the stairs hearing their callings! "There is no one lord." The voice was followed by six bullets and the whole building shook.

"I want them. I want them now!" Nancy blinked holding her knees to her chest. It was the first time she had heard him losing his control. She could tell it was bad. She wonders why he was looking for Ken and her. Maybe they had gotten to know something.

No, no, no, no, this is not happening. We can't be caught. Not ever. Nancy knew now was the time to leave this city forever. Or maybe it was for the right or else she would have never muster the energy to leave from here. She got up but then recalled why she was living here in the first place. She recalled what she had been running from.

She took a few steps down only to find him passing the hallways. His men followed him too. She got still for a moment before she tiptoed to her apartment only to see the mess. She walked into her room which only had a bed and a chair. Even her mattress was thrown out of the bed. She wonders what they were looking for.

There's no time to think, Nancy. You better pick anything you can and run. Her sanity kicked in but she pulled her hair thinking about where Ken was.

Nancy picked up her fake identity cards, high school certificate and a few jeans. She hurriedly picked Ken's t-shirts too. Stuffing those things in a small bag she quickly made her way out. Hoping she might find her brother wasted down the road like many previous times she left her place. She didn't forget to pick her whole savings with her and was careful to see if Demon and his men had left. She noticed the cars leaving for the east part. It told her he was leaving for his place.

She didn't want to think what Demon's men were doing at her place. She knew she could worry about it once she leaves Greenfall County. She started running in the other direction. Leaving the County was far easier than walking into the county. Getting into the Greenfall wasn't for everyone. She still remembers the day she decided to live here. A big mistake. Even then she could tell it was a big mistake. She wonders how she spent the last nine years here.

Nancy was practically running to the club where her brother works. She was wearing jeans, a men's jacket and had a muffler on her nose. She was more worried about not finding her brother on the way. She wonders where he could go. But the moment she noticed one of Ken's coworkers getting out of the club.

She spoke to him in her heavy accent. The one she had practised quite skillfully. "Where is my brother? I haven't seen him..." But before she could say further Luke pushed her.

"Fuck!..." Luke yelled before continuing. "...don't talk to me. I don't know him." He said looking around and that only got Nancy puzzled but not for long. She wonders if it was about Demon looking for them. "Luke, listen to me. Where did you see Ken the last time? He must be drunk. We need your help..." The word barely left her mouth but Luke was louder than ever.

"He has to be drunk to pull a stunt like this. Officer! Officer! I have got Jonathan! He is Ken's brother." Nancy looked at the officer coming and started explaining. "No, I don't know what he is talking about." Nancy tried to clear.

"We have to question you about your brother Kendall." The officer said but Nancy knew what it was about. She had seen what Demon had done to their apartment. And, for sure this officer was going to take her to the Demon.

"Look, you have gotten the wrong person. We aren't your people. My brother and I have nothing to do with Anderson's." Nancy said but the officer was quick to catch her. "Shut up, you motherfucker. I didn't even say a word. You know what you have done!" And, before Nancy could wonder what she had done she was punched on her face before the police got her on the ground. Nancy groaned under the knee over her shoulder and begged.

"Please, please let me go." She was too scared wondering what it was about. Nancy was positive they don't have anything against Anderson's. Even her brother knew what it meant to go against the sin city's holder. It meant torture that will make you wish for death.

Tears pooled in her eyes when the officer removed her cap in an attempt to pick her off the ground. Nancy had hair that barely reached her shoulder blade. And, the officer pulled it to jerk her head all the while getting her in the police van.

This can't end like this. I can't lose this fight. It won't end like this.
