"Don't you dare fly with another man ever again? You got it?" Nancy nodded her face. "Yes,"
"Good,"
Damon held her wrist and put her hand on his pants. Nancy felt his hardness.
"Do it," Damon ordered and left her wrist. Nancy bit her inner cheek feeling his erection in her hand.
She rubbed him the same he had used her hand before. Nancy's cheeks flushed red realizing what she was doing. "Come on, don't you act like you haven't done this before."
Nancy had never done this before for Damon. And, it was not the first time he had degraded her using her past that he knew nothing about. Nancy realized that he saw her as a woman who would have used her body to pay bills several times. And, this is exactly what the east part people of Greenfall would think about people like her. Nancy too hardly knew a woman who was not serving a man to get by in a place like Greenfall where only ranks of how someone most close to Anderson's mattered.
Damon had arched his neck back and was expecting a great start to his flight but only a moment later he was convinced she was playing with him. "Agh, do it." He groaned.
Nancy always believed that Anderson and the people close to him ruled the whole of Alaska. Such a tragedy she was too close to Damon Anderson yet had no power or status, unlike other people in Greenfall. At least, this was her reality.
Damon hated how she was not getting into the act. He was about to blast but then hated how he couldn't hit her.
Flashback
"I don't know his name. None of us do. We have told you..." The man was going breathless and had his eyes swollen with all the beating. "We have told you everything. Please, spare me. Don't...don't kill me." Damon swung the baseball bat on his jaw before throwing it away.
"Fuck!!!" Damon yelled before turning around and punching Joseph. "Is this ALL!!! He doesn't know a fucking thing about Aria and Ken. What was I here for? To know there is someone who wants to destroy me?"
Robert looked at the men who were almost beaten to death. Damon looked at Robert and gritted. "Is this what you..."
"They aren't lying," Robert suggested. But Damon looked at the man groaning in pain and kicked him in his guts before walking out of the basement. The more he hated the fact that Robert was right all this time the more he was convinced that they needed to find this unknown bastard soon.
Someone had used his girlfriend to hurt him. And, to think someone could come this close and still keep his identity hidden was not a great sign. It showed he does exercise some power. It means he has people who are loyal to him. And, no power in the world could be stronger than having people who are loyal to you.
If previously Damon was mad thinking Aria and Ken got away right under his nose. That too from his capital territory. Now the situation was even worse.
There was someone who was trying to get to him. And, he was even successful without showing a trace of himself. Damon didn't want to know what that person's reason or story was. He wanted to annihilate him.
The situation was no less than a slap on his face. Someone had dared to start a war with him and he will give him a war now.
"Damon," Robert's voice was enough to tell him that he was worried. But then Robert was always nerved up for anything when it came to their family's name. And, Damon was the face of the Andersons.
"What?" Damon tried not to look troubled. He knew he would take this matter into his own hands from that moment on. He couldn't rely on the ways his people were going. He had to make the way now. Because something not less than a war has started.
"Did you hear him? Aria wasn't planted here. She was strategically used because she was someone who had access to you." Damon didn't like Robert's explanation. Aria had eloped with a guy showing a middle finger to the security camera. There was no way she was manipulated. But for the first time in days Damon accepted that Aria was not something to worry about at the moment. Not that he was forgiving her or letting her go. But this time was not to think about bitches.
"Do you think someone can courage up to go against us?" Damon asked.
"Get off your high horse and think. He has smart people on his team. People who hired other people to do all the mud work. He is powerful. And, if he has tried to reach you it means he is resourceful enough to know who Andersons are."
There was silence for a moment before Damon ordered. "Figure out how these men received money. Trace the number of the bills and figure out how this money travelled here." Damon ordered. But Robert who wanted to talk more about it shook his head.
"It won't necessarily give us a lot of lead. If that money was smuggled..." But cutting him off Damon stated,
"Even then it would lead to somewhere. And, somewhere close is better than nowhere." For the first time, Robert noticed Damon too was serious about this matter.
"Fine, I will get into it."
Damon recalled how powerful people were going to gather in Italy where some new groups were going to claim on new territories. Was it about this? Was his hegemony being challenged to prove something?
No matter what that person had his channels to access his private life. And, if they had used Aria to get to him, he has to prove that Aria meant nothing to him. Somewhere getting married to someone else on the same day does prove some of it. It indeed was going to make their situation worse if that person enjoyed getting his wedding cancelled.
Flashback ends
Damon groaned in pure agony. He was going to Italy and had told Robert not to worry about his wife's attitude. He will make her fall madly for her. So, he doesn't have to worry about his wife trying to escape.
Damon knew he was here to show that he was more than happy with his new wife. He had to maintain an image here. Because there were eyes on him.
It was also the reason that he had asked his private crew on the plane to exit before he could have a moment with his wife. He wanted Nancy to get at ease with him.
Holding Nancy's wrist, Damon shook his head. "What are you doing?" He had promised not to hit her but he could talk. And, he was going to have a good talk because this woman should know what was expected of her. It was the least she could do for him and of any use.
"What am I doing?" Nancy asked back. Her voice was so low Damon barely made anything of it. He closed his eyes in agitation and when he opened his eyes he asked,
"You don't like me. Do you?" He gritted the last two words.
Nancy wondered why was he asking this. Damon looked at her. Turning to her and giving her full attention.
"Look, I get you have seen a lot about me that won't ease you into this marriage. But shouldn't you be trying hard to rise in my eyes after I have chosen to offer you a chance?" For Damon, it was enough for her to try. He had been great in the last two days with her. He has fed her. Pet her. What else did she want to fall for him? Only one explanation could crack it and it was she wasn't physically attracted to him. But it had never happened in the past. Did she have a lover she misses?
Damon hated how different reasons kept popping up in his mind but there was no way to know for sure. His men had told him that everyone around her only knew him as Jonathan and she didn't have any lover. But now he was convinced she did have a past. He didn't care much about her past. But what he did care about was his work for the last two days on her. And, she wasn't reciprocating.
"What do you want me to do?" Nancy was still confused.
"I asked you a question. Do you like me?" Nancy remained silent. She didn't have any answer to this one. She knew it wouldn't only be a lie but would sound fake. She didn't have any response worthy to give him.
"Is this difficult to answer?" Damon raised his brows.
Nancy gulped and shook her head before whispering. "I don't know."
"You don't know what?" Damon asked,
"I have never thought about it."
"Fair enough. Do you find me handsome? Or do you think other people would find me handsome?"
"You have maintained yourself well," Nancy replied,
Damon scoffed at her response. "Maintained? Do you by any chance see me as an old man? Bitch, have you..." Damon stopped himself. He wanted to ask her if she had seen herself in the mirror. He had never dated a woman past twenty-two. And, she was lucky to be his wife. All of his previous wives were famous strippers. Their bodies were worthy of worship.
Nancy's sweating face was a hint that he had toned himself down. So, he tried to contain himself when he added all the while retrieving his cigar from the golden box. "You don't want to compliment me. Right? This chance means nothing to you. No matter, where I see it. All I see is an ungrateful woman who doesn't want to do anything in return." Damon believed he was reasonable. Nancy wonders what had happened all of a sudden. But his displeasure and bad mood had enveloped the whole space. Nancy felt the compulsion to make it right so she meekly whispered in a very low tone.
"I apologize if I offended you. I do appreciate your chance and I do want to do things for you." This got Damon's gaze back at her.
"You what? You better shut up and listen to me." Pointing his hand that was holding the cigar he continued, "...I thought I could use this trip to win your heart. I wanted to see you enjoy good grapes. But what did I get?"
"What do you want?" Nancy asked clueless and it took Damon's every cell to stop himself from cursing. "Should you be asking me this after what you did?"
"What...?" Nancy whispered,
"You should have looked at your face when you were giving me your hand. Is this what I deserve after all I have done for you?"
Damon believed he had filled her fingers with diamonds and had clothed her the best. He had praised her and reminded her how pitiful she was in her past before him. But it seems she didn't have a brain anymore. She did have one when she strategically avoided her death but now, she was just a woman who didn't know a thing. Damon rolled his eyes and avoided to look at her. Or he knew he would hit her. Weren't his actions enough to prove that he was in love with her? And, she should reciprocate like the dutiful wife she promised to be.
"I was doing it. Wasn't I?" Nancy asked and Damon hated how he couldn't hit her anymore. He didn't want the crew to know.
"What the fuck are you doing?" Damon realized that at this point he was soon going to start hitting her.
Nancy gulped and shook her head. "If I have done something wrong. I am sorry..."
"Not one word!" "...I have never done this before."
Both spoke at the same time but Damon getting mad made Nancy jump a little up before she turned her face away. But Damon wondered if she said what he thinks she said. Nancy was utterly embarrassed when Damon asked, "What did you say?"
But Nancy kept looking away. She wonders if he is again mad. Because she had promised him to be the best wife and knowing what pleases a man was an integral part of it.
"I was a man before your men blew off my cover," Nancy explained recalling a very haunting memory.
"I did that," Damon corrected her with a perfect smile. "...None of them realized you were a woman or they would have eaten you up." Damon scoffed a little at his joke but then twisted his mouth getting back on the topic. "Are you telling the truth?"
Nancy got her eyes on him again. She didn't know what he meant with this. She didn't have any proof for it.
"What?" Nancy asked back.
"You have never given a hand job to a man before," Damon asked and Nancy shook her head in no after a moment. Damon scoffed shaking his head.
"I don't give a damn if you have given a man your hand. But if I ever get to know that you lied for the sake of getting out of this situation. You will be ruined good."
Nancy gulped shaking her head. "You will never find a man who I have touched."
"Oh, next you will say no one has popped your cherry." Nancy looked at him but didn't say anything.
"It's not possible," Damon responds to Nancy's unwavering stare.
"Why?" Nancy asked,
"Don't you dare be smart with me," Damon warned.
"I know it means nothing to you. A woman's chastity can't win you..." Nancy's words removed all of the lines from Damon's face. He thought about what she had said. "...I previously believed that loyalty could win you. But you are not looking for that either."
"Anything else?" Damon asked,
"I don't know anymore. I have no idea what you want." Nancy sounded dejected at the end.
Damon wonders if this is what all she worries about the whole day. This woman was trying so hard to win his heart over. Maybe hoping that winning his heart could make her life easier. But wasn't it exactly what he wanted? He wanted her to fall in love with her. And, this little soul was already lost looking for the way to his heart. All he had to do was tell her that she was there already.
Damon took a long drag on his cigar and looked around. He didn't know it was this easy. He felt a little ease in his shoulders. All he had to do was offer some honey-coated words.
"Are you by any chance trying to win me over," Damon asked with a smile and Nancy blinked,
"One does it when they took the kind of vows I took. I know you are my only reality since the day we married. And, knowing that your existence is in the hands of someone you have no power over makes you cripple in all the definitions possible."
Nancy's words were enough to convey that it was no love. She was trying to get the best out of her situation. Damon noticed how she had a certain way to explain her side. There was a kind of grace about how she truthfully talked her heart out. It didn't feel fake or made up.
Damon chuckled but then all of a sudden held her neck and made her lean to him. He won't stop being her husband and that place would give him the spot where he would only benefit from the vows.
"Listen to me carefully, when I said I will give you a chance. I meant it. Yes, you will never have any power over these hands. But you will be safe here from everything." Damon almost kissed her but then held back and asked, "Do you like it here?"
His warm breath made Nancy's lips shiver. But the moment she found her eyes locked with his eyes she stopped breathing. She was still shocked at the change in the situation. Only a moment ago they were talking like sane people. And, now she was inhaling his hot breaths. She didn't know how to like his hands on her neck. When all she could do was fear for her skin.
"I am waiting sugar," Damon warned and his lips brushed against her.
"I like it," Nancy widened her eyes when Damon sucked her lips before thrusting his tongue in her mouth.
She told herself that she could do it but then raised her shoulders feeling his tongue swirled against hers. Damon held her fisted hand and then nestled his fingers in hers. He guided her hand on his shoulder slowly before coming to hold her waist.
Damon pulled her to him in a firm tug. She started shivering when he got her in his arms. She tried to tell herself that he hadn't hurt her in the last two days and wouldn't do it now but her heart was racing so fast it could come out any moment.
Nancy curled her feet when Damon slowly came to a stop and pulled away to look into her eyes. "Come, I will teach you how I like it,"
