Nancy couldn't dare to look out of the car's window. No matter how alluring it was to look at the city lights in the night she didn't dare to falter her attention from the obsession. Damon had her hand in his hold and was looking at it as if he had found a treasure.

The car came to a halt but all Nancy found herself doing was to keep her smile. A man opened the door for Damon but Damon kissed his wife's knuckles before telling her. "There is nothing I can do to match the worth of your presence here." Nancy's brows furrow a little and when the words registered her heart skipped a beat.

Nancy liked how he wasn't for the first time boosting what he could do. Even the face that could make her scream in her dreams looked a little bearable. For the first time, she let herself soak in the feeling that she was safe in his presence.

When Damon walked out Nancy let her breath out. It seems that his presence was becoming less difficult but to face him was still a task.

Nancy tried to put a smile on her face when she found Damon opening the door for her. She didn't take any moment to offer her hand to Damon when he extended his for her to take. And, her lack of reluctance didn't go unnoticed by Damon too. This night was blooming into something with each passing moment.

Nancy walked out to notice a tall building. She soon gets her gaze back to Damon. She was convinced others could notice Damon because his actions were so loud that he was madly in love with the woman by his side. But the moment she tried to look for people around them she found none. There were none.

Only the guards who had the same emblem could be spotted. This made Nancy look around without hiding her actions and seeing her trying to find someone Damon asked.

"Are we missing someone?" His tone had an agitation that Nancy tried her best to soothe. "No," Nancy looked at him and didn't dare to raise questions. But what she didn't ask was evident in her eyes. Ignoring her attempts to find someone Damon pressed her waist a little and Nancy nodded. She tried to smile again and started walking beside him.

The entrance of the building was huge but there were no people again. Nancy gave up on the idea of looking for someone. She didn't want to annoy Damon by her actions. She knew she had to keep her attention on him. There was no room for mistakes.

Passing the entrance came the centre of the building. The ceiling was too high Nancy could have lost her posture if it wasn't for Damon holding her. The music started and the lights were dimmed. Nancy noticed a table in the middle and Damon came to stand in front of her all of a sudden. He pulled her in while the violin started playing. The music got too dramatic and Damon started to move her around. The move was swift yet demanding. He was guiding her to the centre of the hall. Nancy could tell it was a shopping mall or sort because she could see the huge escalators and the outlets on the first floor.

Seeing it all empty only at eight in the night tells her it was shut for their date here.

A spotlight soon appeared at them and for a moment Nancy closed her eyes but when she slowly adjusted her vision she noticed how Damon or she could only look at each other. Everything else around them was dimmed down. As if nothing was ever surrounding them.

The music was slowly toned down and Damon pulled her. He nestled his mouth into her ear and slowly moved on the beat. "This is exactly what you are. Everything else has faded and all I see is you." But then Damon trailed his breaths to her mouth and whispered against her lips. "You pull me in like it is meant to be...since forever." Damon licked her lips a little before pulling her into an embrace again. Their dance was only getting slower.

"It makes all the more sense when I mount you." Nancy held more of his back when he whispered into her ear again. "Tell me I will be the only man who touches you...fuck you," This made Nancy narrow her eyes in disgust. Damon was busy rubbing his mouth over her neck so Nancy knew she could let out.

Nancy wondered why he had to ruin the moment but then gulped in pain before following, "You are the only man fucking me."

"Yes, yes, yes..." Blasts came off around them but Nancy's cry of fear was muffled with more around her. She only realized it was a firework when she felt Damon's laughing chest and his arms hugging her fast. "You ok?" She heard Damon asking.

Nancy slowly pulled her head away from Damon and looked around. She witnessed the whole place illuminated. The sparkling firework around the huge indoor fountain was still lit. Nancy stared at it before looking at Damon who had his undivided attention at her. "I didn't mean to startle you."

Nancy smiled before looking back at the fireworks. The violins were still playing. Nancy looked around to look for the band but soon realized how everyone had their eyes lowered around her. Nancy bit her mouth a little. She wonders if the infidelity from his previous wives and lovers was to blame. "Shall we dine or do you want to raid this whole mall?"

"What?" Nancy asked,

"I have this whole place booked so you can shop peacefully." Nancy raised her brows. She had previously visited a lot of places with her father. But it was never necessary to do so. A good arrangement of security was always fine.

Nancy knew better than to add but still found herself saying. "I don't think it was necessary..." A smirk coming from Damon made her trail off.

"Don't do this." It sounded more like a warning from Damon's side and Nancy wonders if she has said something wrong. "Do what?" Nancy asked,

"I have the whole staff here waiting only for you. You don't decide how I arrange the date for you." Damon straightened her more to him and started rubbing his hand on her waist. "You are not someone who could be spotted like common people. Not anymore." Damon raised her chin with the back of his hand and added, "Recognize yourself. You are mine. This is nothing for you. Everyone should know better than to cross you." When Nancy didn't react Damon warned. "Act as if you deserve all of it. And, act until you be what I want you to be." It was the first time Damon told her to act. Nancy realized the very moment that he didn't care if all of her smiles and feelings coming out of her were genuine or not. If he wanted her in a certain way, he would get it out of her. No matter what.

Nancy smiled and nodded moving more into him. "I will do my best to not disappoint you." This made Damon give her one of his proud smiles.

"There is something about you. I can't pinpoint." Damon continued holding her hand up to his mouth. "But you do have something, Nancy. You do have it in you."

Sensing something Nancy carefully asked, "Like what?"

"You never faltered no matter how much you got to know me. It is hard to scare you. Or get you surprised. As if you already know how magnificent or how filthy the life could get with me."

Nancy realized he was observing her closely. It was good that Damon had raised the concern. From now on she could be careful about not showing much tolerance to the bombshells he comes up with.

"I don't know what are you talking about." Nancy tried to dismiss and looked at the first floor to where the huge escalator was going before asking him. "We can eat at our place. Why not..."

"That's my woman..." Damon pulled her waist to him and started walking to the escalator. But then leaning to her ear he whispered. "Put on a show for me and try on hundreds of dresses for me."

Nancy raised her shoulder and smiled shaking her head. Nancy noticed more people in the shops. It seems that the staff was held back to cater to her. She could sense the envy not only from women but from men too. As if she was the luckiest woman in the world.

Nancy looked at a green cocktail bling dress on the display and noticing her eyes Damon guided her into the store. A lady in her forties in a black uniform with a name tag Lucia welcomed them. "What a pleasure to host you. Please come inside." The woman told Nancy while a man came forward to show Damon the way to a sofa nearby. Nancy walked into the changing room and came out after ten minutes. Not for once, Damon stopped looking at the corner where Nancy had disappeared.

Damon was offered a drink when Nancy was changing but he declined not wanting to look away. And, the moment Nancy appeared with her eyes down at her dress he smiled. She looked at her left before looking at her right to find Damon.

"How's this?" Nancy asked,

"Made for you." Damon complimented,

Finding the opportunity the saleswoman offered in a very calculative tone. "Of course, and, if you want, we can make it exclusive for our lovely lady. It is still to be available for sale by our brand." Nancy could tell it could raise the price of the dress severalfold.

"No, that won't be required," Nancy said but Damon only laughed saying, "Of course, we can't afford someone else wearing the same dress as you."

"No!, Dear, we aren't paying them more." Nancy protested before giving a wide eye to the sales girl because Damon wasn't someone she could show her protest to.

Damon loved how he was left wanting for more when she called him dear. Could he reject her request when she has called him dear for the first time? Absolutely not.

Damon looked at the sales girl and said, "Don't make it exclusive. We will make such memories in this dress that whenever we look at another woman wearing this dress. We will be recalled of those. Don't we, honey?" This made Nancy laugh a little when she looked at Damon. She was instantly comfortable when Damon made her feel she could be heard.

"I will look forward to it," Nancy agreed. It was the first time she had seen a little charm on Damon's face. The flirt in his eyes was making her feel different. This whole aura and night were turning into something.

Nancy turned around and looked into the large mirror. She noticed how Damon turned his neck at the price of his comfort to chase her with his eyes.

For the first time, a laugh escaped her throat without pretence. It was easy because how Damon looked was funny. She could tell she was close. She was almost where she wanted herself to be. In fact, it felt better than she had hoped for. Damon Anderson, the man who she dreaded for he could end her life at any moment, was instead spoiling her around making her feel like a little girl. Even her father had never spoiled her as such. She was always given a budget and her dresses were always selected by her stylist. She was trained to be a good wife in the future who doesn't fuss or give in to her wishes all the time.

"My lady, would you like to try the blue one I showed you earlier." Nancy looked at the saleswoman through reflection. She perfectly remembered that she hadn't shown her any blue dress earlier. It was obvious this salesgirl was only trying to sell more. Nancy shook her head. "No, we will take only this one." Nancy noticed a little bitterness in her eyes but didn't think much of it and started walking to the changing room.

"Where are you going?" Damon asked,

"To change back into..."

"This one looks good. I told you we will make memories in this one." Damon licked his lip when Nancy took a moment to realize what he was suggesting. "Fine, I wonder how many dresses I will change today," Nancy said passing him and started walking to the exit.

"I wonder which one I will tear," Damon commented following her. Nancy noticed how for the first time they were strolling as if she was a real person for him. They were both equal and could live like a couple.

Damon held her hand in his arm and started showing her around. Only two of their guards followed them. The rest could be spotted all over the mall at a distance. And, even though they had ensured that no one besides the staff stayed, they were on high alert as if they should be ready for anything.

Nancy strolled around before coming to hold the handrail to notice how far above they were from the ground floor. "This is huge and beautiful," Nancy said and Damon didn't seem to be in a hurry. As if he had all the time in the world to stare at her while she enjoyed looking around.

"Do you want me to buy it?" Damon asked not knowing what else to ask. He could buy her anything her eyes would want to stare at. "We can change its name too," Damon added when his wife didn't respond.

Nancy recalled how he bought hills today and there was no way she would enjoy those often when they are to return to Alaska.

"Of course, not. It feels nice to view it but I am more into staring at mountains and sea." Damon stared at her beautiful pink-tinted lips and gulped before whispering. "It is nice knowing you." This made Nancy look at Damon. Did he say this to her? Was she nice enough for him now? Has her life changed from a nightmare to something liveable?

Nancy lowered her head a little before raising her hand to Damon's chest. "Please, don't change. Please..."

"Because your survival depends on it?" Damon asked holding her hand and keeping it on his heart. Damon noticed how her hand wasn't shaking as it was used to previously in his hold.

"No,..." Nancy scoffed. "...I think I have finally started to trust you."

Damon raised his brows and pulled her in wrapping her arm around her waist. "Fall without a second thought. I am going to catch you every time." Nancy's breath hitched looking at the madness in his eyes.

"You seem very confident," Nancy asked raising her other hand to reciprocate his embrace. But her hold was ever so light and fragile.

"No man on this earth can love you as much as I do." Nancy laughed a little at his statement but Damon shook his head warning her. "Don't play with me."

Trying to defuse him Nancy nodded, "I know," But swinging her to his side he got Nancy's back on the handrail. This removed any trace of playfulness from Nancy's face.

"I cannot for once imagine a man thinking about you. Let alone touching you."

"Relax," Nancy tried to calm him. But all she could see was his sense of possession.

Damon held her face before rubbing his thumb at the corner of her mouth. "Don't worry. I am all relaxed as long as you know that you are only mine."

Nancy could tell he wanted to possess every second of her life. She instantly recalled how it was never a choice for her. She had to accept him with whatever he was coming up with.

"I am yours." Nancy smiled but then gulped when she suggested carefully. "Why don't we head back to our home? I am a little tired..." This brought lines to Damon's forehead.

"Why? I wanted to buy you the whole world. Anything you like,"

"You have already bought a lot of things today. Mountains to say the least. Let the rest of the earth wait a little." She laughed a little and Damon finally chuckled. His smile was back on.

"Fine, we will head home. But not before I buy you a necklace to go with this dress." And, before Nancy could refuse Damon added, "I insist,"

Nancy nodded and followed Damon to the right corridor. Only at the corner, a huge outlet came into their view. They had dresses lined up and the moment Nancy smiled looking at those Damon ordered. "Pack all of these." And, before Nancy could say something he had tugged her away with him.

Not long after Nancy again raised her head and admired a few shoes in one of the displaying glass. This time Damon only nodded to one of the men standing outside of the outlet to welcome them. The man at once went in and started packing the ones that were on the display.

Damon passed six more outlets before stopping in front of a jewellery store. Nancy walked in not happy at how she had already noticed men running to pack the dresses and shoes she admired.

Nancy looked at how huge this outlet was. She could tell that the designer must be a famous one. The priceless sparkling jewels she knew were only a dream for many women were displayed in all their glory. She knew her man would buy all of it without a blink but would never let her breathe without his knowledge.

Two women welcomed them and showed them in. Damon and Nancy stopped in front of a huge mirror and seemed to be admiring each other when a man walked out from the 'staff only' sign door to welcome them. "Welcome to Blue Ocean Gems. I will be your host, Arnold Peterson." The salesman's boyish grin and smartness were evident in his voice alone. He smelled of fresh air that would blow in the morning. And, before he could say something else Damon stopped him. "Show me something that is made for this dress."

Arnold looked at Nancy from up to down and then back to up. Damon noticed how his eyes lingered a little more on Nancy's chest and neck. A bitterness made Damon move his mouth and fist his hand. Damon had to tell himself that the lad was only doing his job.

Narrowing his eyes Damon tried to ignore it but a knot was already formed in his throat. Standing there had become a task for him when that lad said, "I know exactly what is made for this beautiful neck."

"We don't have time," Damon warned and the man ran behind one of his top counter.

For a moment Damon wanted to hold Nancy's wrist and leave the hell out of here but he showed every bit of his patience. Nancy looked at the staff who came to offer the drink but Damon refused before Nancy could say something.

Damon started moving his heel to contain his anxiety. Only if he hadn't insisted on buying her jewellery he wouldn't be standing there. Damon could tell that man had ruined his mood. But then he suddenly looked at Nancy and her gaze was following that man too.

Damon came ahead of Nancy and whispered, "My beautiful," As if he was craving her attention. And, before Nancy could even smile the salesman interrupted them again. "This one is made for this dress. You can see..." Damon was quick to pick up the necklace and turned Nancy around.

Nancy stared at the necklace Damon was putting on her in the large mirror. "Nothing can compete for your sparkle," Damon whispered and Nancy smiled showing her perfect teeth.

"If not I can show something else..." The salesman's voice erased Damon's smile while Nancy was quick to decline too. "There is no need, Arnold. We will buy this one."

Damon widened his eyes realizing she remembered the name of this insignificant creature. The only time he said his name was when he welcomed them and Nancy had learned it already.

"...right?" Nancy asked for Damon's approval. But seeing Damon giving a death stare at her reflection Nancy's smile shrank too. She wonders what had happened.

Damon slightly pulled on the necklace and nodded. "I believe so too." Only his dark deep voice was enough for Nancy to recall all of the horror he had pulled in the past. It didn't take Nancy long. She too noticed how his hawk eyes lingered on Arnold's reflection. As if a predator had marked his prey.

"Thank you, honey..." Nancy tried to get his attention back on her. "...you are the best." Nancy tried her best not to choke when Damon pulled on the necklace hard. The intricate design didn't take a moment before giving in to the pressure and was already falling off Nancy's body. Arnold who wasn't standing far got his perfect reflexes to work and caught it right above Nancy's chest.

Nancy was quick to shut her eyes while Damon had already twisted his hand and in the very next moment pushed his head and smashed it against the large mirror. The sound of glass breaking made Nancy jump and open her eyes to witness the horror.

"Damon, no. Please, no!!!!" Nancy pleaded in a loud cry seeing Damon still holding and pushing Arnold's head.

But the moment Damon gave her the look filled with his rage she froze, "You want to save him. Do you, Nancy?" Damon asked in a very clear voice. There was no time to waste. It didn't seem Damon was playing around. Nancy shook terribly. She could tell the inevitable at this point. Arnold was past saving.

"Honey, no, please be calm...be calm." Nancy barely managed in a hiccup. She was barely audible.

Damon retrieved a gun and asked Nancy. "Kill him and I will be calm."

"What?" Nancy asked dumbfounded. It had escalated without a moment.

"Show me that you care about my peace more than this good-for-nothing life."

"He is an innocent." Nancy protested in a whisper. But the longing for Arnold's life was evident in her voice. And, Damon was picking all of it.

"I am not what I am by sparing innocents. Do you care about innocents or me?" Damon yelled so loud at the end that other sales girls in the store were shaking for their lives too. But none of them dared to help their coworker. Arnold who was half conscious now tried to get free and groaned some inaudible pleadings.

"You don't have much time, Nancy," Damon warned her to take action but Nancy shook her head slowly. "Please, spare him. He hasn't done anything..." She was still trying when Damon shot two bullets in Arnold's head.

Nancy looked at Arnold's body in horror as it fell with a thud on the floor. The blood from the bullet wound started claiming the place everywhere. Nancy noticed how Damon's shoes had innocent blood all over them. He was standing over his blood.

"Why?..." Nancy breathed but Damon seemed frozen in his place with his eyes widened. His wife was mourning the death as if he had finished a beautiful love story at the nub.

He stood there with his hard jaw and hated how Nancy had kneeled and was dirtying herself in her lover's blood. Nancy looked up and shook her head. "How could you?..." But Damon cut her off eating each of the words. "You have disappointed me, my wife. Utterly disappointed me."
