*sniff sniff*
Something sniffed you.
*lick*
Something licked you.
*SNIFF*
Something sniffed you intensely.
"Ugh... what..?"
*lick*
"Five more years..."
*whine* (A/N If you chose a cat as your pet, pretend this is a meow and whatever else cat-like)
"Hm..? P/N? That you?"
*cheerful bark*
"Oh, good morning..." You say softly with a tired smile, slowly opening your still-droopy eyes. You reach out with a weak hand and give head scratches to the P/T before you. "I will never regret adopting you."
You push yourself upwards, your messy hair flopping over your face. You groan in annoyance, hating that it happens every morning, but you gotta get used to it someday. 'Even if it's already been 5 whole gosh darn years...' You thought, beginning to get up and start the day.
You grab your comb from your backpack and grab a mirror, too, swiftly taming your beastly hair. You grab a hair-tie and tie it up into your so-called 'hairstyle of-the-day!' kind of thing. You carefully place down the mirror, but carelessly throw the comb back into your backpack. You quickly change into your adventurer outfit and step outside of the tent, looking like an entirely different Cookie.
"Wow. Just breathe in that air, P/N! Isn't it new and fresh?" You ask, turning to your once-small friend. "Just like an adventure!"
You take down your tent with ease and reduce to the bag it once was. P/N happily offers their back to carry the tent bag, and you gladly strap it onto their huge body.
"Alright! Now, who's ready for an adventure? 'Cuz I sure am!" You ask P/N, who wags their tail in response.
"And so am I!" A familiar voice calls out from behind you.
You turn around in surprise, only to come face to face with,
"Hollyberry Cookie?!"
The Ancient with the Light of Passion walked up to you and pulled you in for a hug. "Yes, it's wonderful to see you too, Y/N Cookie! How have you been? I sure can see that P/N has been doing great since I last saw 'em! So big and strong!"
"Oh! Thanks, Hollyberry Cookie! P/N appreciates the complement, and I've been doing well! Thanks..." You smile awkwardly, still a bit fazed from her sudden 'hello'.
Hollyberry Cookie turns around and calls out: "Get on over here, Wildberry Cookie! This is Y/N Cookie here! I'm sure she'd be glad to meet you!"
"Uhm, who?" You look up at Hollyberry curiously.
"Wildberry Cookie! Jungleberry Cookie sent him with me to be my... 'bodyguard', sheesh." She said bodyguard with quite disdain, rolling her eyes.
"I'm only following orders, Your Majesty," the Cookie called 'Wildberry Cookie' stepped out of the shadows of the surrounding trees. He was awfully tall; taller than Hollyberry Cookie, believe it or not, as crazy as it seemed.
"Oh well! It's all in the past now! We have a dragon to hunt!"
"A- woah, whahahat?" You stuttered, staring in disbelief at Hollyberry Cookie. It did make sense, though; her usual outfit was entirely different! Nothing like the usual bright pink dress she had.
"Yes! A dragon. It's been said that a legendary Red Dragon has been burning down the villiages throughout Dragons Valley! I believe it might be our old friend, the Greenish Red Dragon," Hollyberry explained, a serious tone replacing her normal cheery one.
"But... he's not usually like that: burning homes down to a crisp and ashes, am I right?" You had a lot of questions in your mind at the moment.
Hollyberry Cookie nodded at you. "That's exactly what I thought. And that's also exactly why I'm heading out to find out the truth. And if that lizard is behind it all, why I'd outta-..! *sigh* I was hoping you could accompany me and Wildberry Cookie on this adventure. You have lots of knowledge on dragons, since your parents studied them and everything else dragon-like, but if you don't want to, it's OK, I completely understand. You're still just a kid, after all."
"Hollyberry Cookie, of course I'd want to come! I'm eighteen! Nothing's gonna stop me doing something so new and so fun!" You smiled up at her, eyes shining. "It gives me an opportunity to learn something and add on to my parents' journals! But the problem is, I only have this old outfit to wear... being poorly stitched back together by my still-awful knitting skills."
"I thought you might say something like that, which is why I got you this!" Hollyberry revealed a full set of F/C dragon scale armour and a dragonclaw W/O/C, too.
"Wow! Hollyberry Cookie, this is amazing! Thank you so much!" You said, continuing to thank her more times than anyone could ever count.
"Ha ha! It's no problem at all! Any friend as close as you to Princess Cookie is a close friend of mine!" She laughed, rubbing your head hard, but not too hard so as to not mess up your hair or hurt you.
You quickly got changed into your new outfit in pure excitement, with P/N standing guard beside you, just in case anything bad happened. And nothing did.
"I'm back~!" You sang jumping out from the foliage. "Do I look ok?"
"Why, of course! You look absolutely perfect! It fits well, I can see that," Hollyberry Cookie complemented you cheerfully. "Are you comfortable, too?"
"Yes, very. This is really awesome. Thank you again!" You ran up to Hollyberry Cookie and gave her a hug.
"Aww! You're such a softie! A very nice one at that, too, ha!" Hollyberry Cookie laughed, enjoying the embrace. "I also got some dragonscale armour for P/N, too. It's just some boots and a helmet, nothing much."
P/N howled with excitement and bounded up to Hollyberry Cookie, eyes sparkling with joy.
"Ha! Wow! They really want, hm?" Hollyberry Cookie gave P/N some chin scratches.
"Yeah, I guess they do! I can put it on," you say, taking the armour from Hollyberry Cookie and putting it on P/N. You jump onto the P/T's back and get ready for whatever may lie ahead.
"Alright! Let's go, Wildberry Cookie! Y/N Cookie is ready," Hollyberry Cookie shouts to her 'bodyguard'. He nods and stays beside her throughout the whole walk.
[Later... 1st person POV]
I'd been walking with Hollyberry Cookie and Wildberry Cookie for some time now while fighting monsters along the way, but they were scared and fighting for their lives! So whatever was happening in Drogons Valley was affecting this jungle, too.
"Help...! HELP!" We heard a Cookie cry out. P/N's ears stood to attention and looked in the direction of the noise. "G-Greenish Red... Dragon..."
"W-what..?" I muttered in concern.
"Wha..! Did you say 'Greenish Red Dragon?!'" Hollyberry Cookie gasped. "That slithering lizard is here... in the Berry Forest...? Hey, listen to me! Do you remember where you saw the dragon? Or where it went?"
I tried to climb off P/N, but they shook themself and kept me on.
"Looks like they passed out," Wildberry Cookie commented.
"*sigh* .... That beast must be somewhere nearby! Let's go!"
I nodded and gave P/N a comforting scratch on the cheek, and then we all sped on forward.
Soon, we noticed some wreckage ahead of us.
"Your Majesty," Wildberry called out to Hollyberry Cookie. "Something has crushed the berry bushes!"
P/N took a step backwards, ears laying flat with teeth bared, ready to bite at anything that dared try to hurt me.
"Hmm. Yes, and those deep scars on the ground. Those are dragon claw marks!"
"Your Majesty, do you think the monster attacked those unfortunate travellers?"
"I can only hope not," I said, continuously massaging P/N's head to keep them calm.
"I see neither any Cookie armaments scattered around nor any signs of battle. Besides, nothing was burned or charred here."
Hollyberry Cookie was right; nothing was in wreckage. Maybe the travellers just got a fright..?
"As if the dragon... was alone..." Hollyberry Cookie finished.
"Grrr... Grrr..."
P/N nearly yelped out loud in surprise. I quickly gave them a soft scratch behind the ear to keep them calm and quiet.
"Damnation...!"
"Wha...?!" Hollyberry gasped.
I slowly took out my W/O/C and got ready to defend myself.
"Your Majesty, watch out!" Wildberry Cookie yelled.
"Doh- bah! I recognise this voice!"
"Same here!" I shouted in reply.
"I'll take care of it, you two. Ha! Looks like we've found what we were looking for..." Hollyberry Cookie gave a quick pat on my shoulder and stepped in front of me, Wildberry Cookie, and P/N.
Loud wingbeats filled the air, and down from the sky came the Greenish Red Dragon! I pointed my W/O/C at him in case he tried to attack me.
"Grrrrrrr... GRAAAAH!" He roared.
P/N barked back angrily.
"Well, well, well!" Hollyberry Cookie shouted over the deep rumbles in the dragons throat. "What do we have here?!"
"Who could've known I'd find you so easily! Now you'll pay for ravaging these lands...! ... YOU- LIZARD!"
Uh-oh.
[After the fight...]
"Ghhaaa...." the Greenish Red Dragon breathed heavily.
P/N panted, nearly flopping onto the ground and passing out. I nearly passed out, too.
"Huh... Is this... really over?" Wildberry Cookie blinked in surprise.
"I-it couldn't be... right? It felt too easy for a dragon like him," I stuttered, glancing at Wildberry Cookie.
"Be on your guard!" Hollyberry Cookie shouted over her shoulder. "Dragons are notorious for their treachery! No doubt it's one of their dirty tricks!"
Suddenly, the Greenish Red Dragon poofed into a... a Cookie?!
"Impossible..!" I breathed. Princess Cookie and Knight Cookie had told me about this whole 'Dragon to a Cookie' thing, but I couldn't believe that it was actually true! I whipped out my dragon journal and flipped it open to the 'Greenish Red Dragon' page and began to take notes of this new discovery, while drawing a picture of him, too.
"Huh..!!!!!!" Hollyberry Cookie gasped. "They...- huh..! They really are defeated!?"
"It seems like that..." I said, looking from my journal every now and again, finishing up the sketch.
She ran towards the fainted dragon-cookie(???) yelling at him while stuttering: "Y-you there! Pitaya Dragon Cookie!"
'So that's his Cookie form name...' I thought.
"Get up and fight! GET UP! What is wrong with you?!"
"E-erm... is he alright?" I murmured, lightly sliding off of P/N's back and landing daintily on the ground.
I do hope he's OK....
