"MONSTERS! MONSTERS APPROACHING THE WALL!"
I flinched at the loud noise while P/N howled in fright. I quickly gave them a few cheek scratches of reassurance.
"Looks like the frenzied creatures have reached the city!" Hollyberry Cookie raised her shield.
"Leave them to me." Wildberry Cookie said.
"We must help protect the city! Cookies, get to safety!" Hollyberry Cookie yelled.
[After the little fight...]
I looked around the main centre of Dragon City, admiring all of it and wondering what my parents did here. Cookies called out to others to try get to get some sales done.
"Potions! Get your potions! Wyvern Tear Tinctures, Troll Toenail Solutions, we carry everything you need!"
I looked at the Cookie who had said that, and I swear they looked familiar. Whatever. I didn't have time to figure out who that actually was. I could probably do that later.
"Let's get something to eat!"
I turned to Hollyberry Cookie, and P/N trotted over to her.
"Excccellent! I'm famissshed! Thisss Cookie body is getting hungry... too easssily," Pitaya Cookie groaned.
"Well, you'll have to get used to it!" I brushed a hand through his hair.
"... But I don't wanna go..!"
I turned my head to look at a young Cookie crying to her mother.
"But you never know when the dragon will come!" Her mother protested. "Now be a good kid and let's go! We must move somewhere safe."
"No! I wanna stay here, at home!" Her daughter retorted.
"Come on, just ten days?" Her mother tried to reassure her. "Let's go in the morning and stay just for ten days, okay?"
My heart dropped. How sad! Some of the Cookies living here were having to escape the place to get away from the dragon. The little Cookie continued to cry, and I wanted to help her so badly! But then again, I had other duties with Hollyberry Cookie, Wildberry Cookie, and Pitaya Cookie. I was torn between my kindness and my priorities. P/N could sense it and whimpered. They wanted to help, too.
Then, out of nowhere, I head a puking, choking sound. I nearly fell off of P/N. What is going on with me today? Why am I so clumsy and easily scared? Sheesh!
"GAH!" It was Pitaya Cookie. "IT... SSSTUCK IN MY... THROAT! JUICCCE...! BRING JUICE!"
I leapt off of P/N and swung a punch into his chest, causing him to cough it up.
"BLEH! OWW, EVERYTHING HURTS!"
"Sorry! It's just a bit of an instinct!"
"*GAAAAaaasp* It's fine. Totally fine! Just BRING JUICE, PLEASE. MY THROAT SSSTILL HURTS...!"
"On it!"
I grabbed some juice I had stashed away in a little cup and gave it to Pitaya Cookie. He ripped off the lid and gulped it down in one go.
"Thanks, Y/N Cookie."
"It's no problem at all! Just, please, don't be so stupid next time, alright?"
"Yep. Got it."
"Good."
"WHOAH! So cool!" Some Cookies screamed behind us in amazement and excitement.
We both looked their way to see a crowd of girls huddling something or someone.
"What's her name?! Does she bite?! Can I pet her?!" The voices sounded crazed.
"Of course! Our friendly Buttercream Dragon here will never bite such a pretty lady! But I'll advise you to keep your distance, mkay?"
I got onto my feet and stood on top of P/N's head, who easily handled me on top of them without a care in the world. P/N slowly rose to their hind legs and walked forward, just like any Cookie would. I turned my head my head to Pitaya Cookie; his mouth was hanging wide open in disbelief. He shifted his eyes to mine, and I sent a little wink with a cheeky smile down to him.

(Srry lol. Just a head icon)
He let out a little *achem* while turning away from my gaze, blushing. I giggled.
"Aw, looks like everyone here is mesmerised by your beauty, Buttercream?" The Cookie in the centre of the crowd said, flipping his hair. I raised an eyebrow at 'Buttercream'. That wasn't a dragon... that's a wyvern! I opened up my journal and looked at the 'Wyverns' page. Yep. Buttercream was a wyvern, not a dragon.
"Makes the Dragon Rider jealous, heh!"
"*giggle* There's a handsome Dragon Rider, too?!"
I let out a quiet snort. Handsome ain't that, but arrogant he is... and also Pitaya Cookie, too. I couldn't quite figure out who was more arrogant. 'Or who's actually handsome...'
"Ha ha ha! Dear ladies, my fragile heart is all in your hands! Now then, how about a glass of fireade?"
"How flirtatious," I whispered to P/N, who nearly toppled over from little woofs of laughter.
The crowd of Cookies (mainly the girls) let out little giggles; they were obviously falling for him. But I hope I won't be falling... literally. Off of P/N.
"Say, Royal Margarine Cookie, are you going to join the Dragon Hunt?" A voice from the crowd asked.
"Ah, that.... Why... Of course! The surely won't catch a dragon without a Dragon Rider! Trust me, ladies, I'll take care of that dreadful dragon in no time!" 'Royal Margarine Cookie flipped his hair again. What was up with him and flipping hair..?
"Oho! Our Dragon City is in your debt!"
I jumped off of P/N and dusted off the marks my shoes left. P/N just licked my face. "Agh! P/N! S-stop it! He he! Cute little big P/T!" I laughed. It reminded me of when I first met P/N, when I still lived in the Hollyberry Palace, and adopted P/N with Princess Cookie. She named them.
"Oh? Looks like the Clan of Dragon Riders has not vanished after all!" Hollyberry Cookie said in slight surprise. "But it had been ages since I've met one of the Dragon Warriors... Y/N Cookie, do you think you have something about the Dragon Warriors in one of your journals?"
"I can check!" I opened up my backpack, which was tied to my tent bag, and began to look for my History Journal. Or was it in my Dragon Journal? Oh, I have too many journals! More than 10!
"Pha ha ha!" I looked over my shoulder to see Pitaya Cookie wheezing his very lungs out of existence. "You call that creature... a dragon?! Ha ha! Wyvern?! A 'DRAGON'?! Y/N Cookie, surely you can't believe this thing!"
"Well, I mean, of course I do-"
"SSSEE?! Y/N COOKIE AGREES WITH ME!"
"Pitaya Cookie! Shut it!" I slapped a hand over his mouth like when we first had a proper interaction. "Next time, let me finish my sentence! But yes, I do agree with you. But I don't think I want, or need you, to tell the whole of Earthbread about our agreement.
He crossed his arms and continued to stare at Buttercream. "Ohh... oh. You don't have the right... to call yourssself a 'dragon'!"
I sighed and closed my bag up, when I heard that sound from Pitaya Cookie again...
"HARGH."
I stared at him like before. It wasn't exactly the same wording from before, but his voice still dropped and his eyes seemed to glow. The same thing that happened. Suddenly the world around me seemed to drop into oblivion with questions being the only things around me, like the twinkling stars I love sleeping under, and watching in case a shooting star came by. Then, I remembered something...
[Flashback... 3rd person POV]
Y/N Cookie and Princess Cookie, being the friends they always were, were out on their bedroom balcony, staring at the beautiful night sky, watching the stars above them. Well, Princess Cookie mainly. They were currently ten at this time.
"Hey, Y/N Cookie! Come try and look for shooting stars with me!" Princess Cookie called out to Y/N Cookie.
She looked up from a book she was reading about Princess Cookie's grandmother fighting a big Green and Red Dragon, and how she always won. P/N was curled up at her feet. "Huh?"
"Get over here!" Princess Cookie playfully tackled Y/N Cookie and dragged her over to the balcony. P/N followed, of course.
"Look at how pretty they are!"
"Yeah! Just like us~!"
"Ha ha! Yeah! We are fabulous~!"
The two laughed together and made night-time jokes, until Y/N Cookie spotted something shimmering across the sky.
"Oh! Princess Cookie! A shooting star!"
"What?! No way! Quick, make a wish!!!"
"Ok! I'm doing it!"
Y/N Cookie made her wish silently with a small smile.
"Sooo... what was it?"
"If I tell you, the sacred wishing magic would be broken, and my wish wouldn't come true!"
"Aww! Please? Friendship magic will keep it in place!"
"Alright. I'll tell you."
"Yes!"
"So, I wished for..."
"Yeah...?"
"The wonders of life."
[End of Flashback... back to 1st person POV]
It didn't take long for me to realize that I had been staring at Pitaya Cookie for what seemed to be forever. He was currently directly if front of me, his face only inches away.
I blinked the cloudy distracted look in my eyes away and nearly jumped at how close Pitaya Cookie was. He smiled, showing his sharp teeth and whispered, "Hi," and instead of jumping, I fainted.
