' the end'

Katya didn't say anything to anyone. she was gone before they could return home.

she was no fool to Eden's schemes. and Eden was not cruel enough to let Katya die on her behalf. so she had warned her shortly before the ball. after lillith had left and Katya was alone the message had been sent to.

' tonight, return home, you are awaited' it had read.

and she had know what Eden would do.

but Katya wouldn't leave her sister again, not like that. so she wrote a letter. the same letter lillith was now clutching in her hands bitterly.

no tears left to cry and no one to turn to since she hadn't told her husbands about the letter. nor had she said it when she left the bedroom once they were all sleeping.

lillith never hated her sister more than she did now.

for love she had said?

what love was not worth staying for but worth letting her be tortured and raped for? what kind of love was that?

lillith burned the letter with no remorse before going to the kitchen. she leaned against the counter exhausted from everything when a pair of arms wrapped around her softly kissing the crown of her head.

'' what's the matter little one?'' Dante asked softly holding her close.

lillith sighed leaning into his touch. '' I'm tired Dante'' she told him weakly.

he rested his head on top of hers ''come back to bed'' he answered turning her around pecan her up so her legs was wrapped around his waist.

'' not that kind of tired baby'' she whispered afraid to wake up the others.

Dante's brows furrowed. his head tilted. '' I don't understand?'' he said softly.

she sighed resting her head against his wrapping her arms around his neck. '' I'm tired of this kind of life'' she muttered and she felt him froze in her hold.

'' of us?'' he asked weakly. she shock her head instantly.

'' the danger, the threats, everything'' she corrected him softly. '' I cant do it anymore, I want peace'' she said not noticing the three other men listening too.

not until Lorenzo took her out of Dante's hold holding her even tighter and Dominic took her hand and Alesandro took her from his twin and placed her on the counter cupping her face in his hands.

'' we'll leave it all behind yes?'' he said with a hopeful smile.

'' you cant-'' lillith began softly but was cut off by Lorenzo lips on hers molding so perfectly over hers.

'' we'll go far away from here and never tell another soul. we'll give you whatever kind of peace you want'' Dominic promised clutching her hand tightly afraid she would vanish.

and it was true.

their promise.

because the next week whatever proof there had been of the Salvador and lillith ever existing had been ruined. as if it had never been there.

and all there were left was the stories that now felt more like myths.

and no one knew where they had went.

but everyone knew one thing. lillith had changed them all. lillith had changed everything the Salvador knew.

and she had brought peace upon them.

once and for all.
