Ashrah can be seen on the krossroads with Manado and Sareena behind her.

"With haste, we should be there without notice." Ashrah informs.

Before they could reach the end of the krossroads, they are confronted by the Revenants of Stryker, Kabal, Kitana, Jade, Skarlet, and Sindel with an army of oni.

"So much for getting there quietly." Manado says.

"Ashrah, Sareena. You will return to Quan Chi's service." Revenants Jade says.

"We will never serve that snake again, Jade." Ashrah replies.

"You don't really have a choice in the matter. Attack!" Sindel orders.

The oni, Stryker, Kabal, and Jade then begin to attack Manado and Sareena. Stryker and Kabal attack Sareena while Jade, Kitana, and Skarlet and the oni attack Manado. Sindel meanwhile confronts Ashrah.

"You were a favorable Netherrealm demon, but defecting from Quan Chi has made you weak." Sindel says.

"I have never been stronger, Sindel." Ashrah says.

"Yet you remain unable to escape the Netherrealm." Sindel points out.

"That will change today." Ashrah says.

They then fight. Sindel proved to be a tough match, considering she defeated most of the order of light in a single battle, but Ashrah's magic and skills in kombat prove to be more than enough to handle Sindel's power. After a vicious battle, Ashrah leaves Sindel unconscious.

"Maybe even you can be freed." Ashrah says.

Meanwhile, Sareena manages to defeat Kabal and Stryker as Manado knocks Kitana, Jade, and Skarlet back with a wave of red energy. The revenant rise again, ready to confront the trio again.

"There is no point in continuing this fight. This is over." Manado says.

"I wouldn't be too certain if that, Manado." Kitana says.

Suddenly, a newcomer emerges from behind the revenants. The revenants move to the side as nthe newcomer walks past them, giving the trio a shock as they now realize who it is.

"You're ... You're Me." Manado realizes.

"Indeed, my other self. I am you, perfected." Revenant Manado says.

"But... how in all the realms is this possible?" Manado says.

"It's actually quite simple. During the fight with Shao Kahn, you wound up dead. During that time, Quan Chi was able to take a small fraction of your soul just before the Elder Gods resurrected you. And turns out, it was just enough for me to be created. Now I serve the Netherrealm under Quan Chi's command." Revenant Manado explains.

"How dare he do this? When I find him, I'll..." Manado says before he gets cut off.

"You'll what? Kill him? You do that, restoration for us revenants would be... impossible. And besides, I now have a better life than I ever had." Revenant Manado says as he holds Kitana's hand while Jade and Skarlet lean onto his shoulders.

"No." Manado says, realizing the situation.

"Yes. I have achieved what you failed to do. And I must say, betraying them for the horrendous construct and that unholy son of yours, it is... revolting." Revenant Manado says.

Manado starts to get agitated.

"You do not dare put shame on Zaveer's name." Manado warns.

"It matters not. After I kill you and take your soul, I will locate that disgusting creation and kill him as well. I can already see the poor look on that child's face when he sees own father taking his life." Revenant Manado says, chuckling afterwards.

Hearing this angers Manado as his eyes begin to glow red. Suddenly, black smoke begin to spew out of his body and either falling to the ground or rising into the sky. A moment passes before the smoke begins to take shapes of various demon like creatures. Hunanoid batlike creatures with large wings, large wolf like creatures with enormous fangs, and tall humanlike creatures with large horns on their head and a dagger like tail. As they finish forming, the creatures stand by Manado's side, growling at the revenants.

Revenant Manado merely laughs in amusement.

"It seems you've unlocked the power of creating shadow demons. The Abaddons, the Camazotz, and the Fenrir. All very menacing demons in their own right, but it matters little. Especially when I can make my own." Revenant Manado says.

Using his own magic, Revenant Manado creates the very same shadow demons. Manado then turns to one of the demons standing beside him.

"Keep his shadows busy." Manado orders.

With a roar, all the shadow demons charged towards each other while the Revenants charged towards Manado and the demonesses. Manado fights his revenant, Sareena fights Stryker, Kabal and Sindel, and Ashrah fights Skarlet, Kitana, and Jade. Skarlet strikes Ashrah first, summoning a blood dagger to strike the demon down, but Ashrah blocks the initial strike before sending her knee into her abdomen and knocking her down with the backend of her kriss to her face. Ashrah then proceeds to the edenians and continuously blocks strikes from Kitana's fans and Jade's staff as they manage to push her back. As she continues to blocks their strikes, she looks behind her to find herself inching closer and closer to the edge of the cliff towards the lava below. Desperate to avoid falling, she goes onto the offensive knocks Jade's staff out of her hand and knocks her down with her blade. She then kombats Kitana and manages to land a strike on her arm, causing her to hold her arm in pain. After a moment, she brings Jade back to her feet as they prepare to engage in kombat with Ashrah again.

"So Manado has found new allies to die for him. It matters not. Soon, you will serve Quan Chi once more." Revenant Kitana says.

"Manado wishes to help us escape the Netherrealm. And no one does today." Ashrah says.

They then fights. Ashrah finds herself at a disadvantage going against the two edenians. But her determination helps push her through and after a brutal fight, Kitana and Jade find themselves unconscious on the ground.

"I pray that one day, you will be saved." Ashrah says.

Manado and his revenant continue to battle each other without either one of them gaining any advantage. Ashrah then jumps in and kicks Revenant Manado back, much to Manado's appreciation. Sareena, having dealt with Stryker, Kabal and Sindel, joins the two as they ready to fight Revenant Manado again.

"You two ready?" Manado asks.

"As ready as we'll ever be." Sareena says.

"We are right with you." Ashrah says.

Revenant Manado rises again and approaches the three kombatants.

"It seems that you fail to realize... you can't stop me." Revenant Manado says.

"No. You fail to realize that you are on the wrong path. Continue to follow Quan Chi, and it will only lead to your downfall." Manado warns.

"We'll see about that." Revenant Manado says.

Revenant Manado then charges and lands his knee into Manado's abdomen, sending him flying into Ashrah, knocking them both down. Sareena then attacks and sends a flurry of strikes but Revenant Manado manages to block the strikes before punching her in the face then throwing her down to the ground. He then punches her in the head again, knocking her out. Revenant Manado then blocks a kick from Manado and turns quickly to block a jab to the head before sending a flurry of strikes to his chest before sweeping his legs and while in the air, blasts Manado away with his magic. Ashrah then charges and attempts to strike him down with her kriss, but Revenant Manado manages to grab the blade of the kriss. He then knocks the blade away before sending a flip kick to Ashrah's head, sending her flying high into the air and then landing hard onto the ground. As she struggles to stand, Revenant Manado approaches her.

"I can see why Quan Chi chose you to be a member of the Sisterhood of Shadow. Once we're done here, I'll send your soul back to him to do as he pleases." Revenant Manado says.

They then fight. Revenant Manado proves to be the toughest fight in all of Ashrah's existence. All his years of training, powerful magic, and sheer will makes him a force to be reckoned with. It takes everything Ashrah has to even manage to stay in the fight but through her own sheer will, manages to knock the revenant down.

"Your arrogance becomes your downfall." Ashrah says.

Manado then walks over towards Ashrah and looks down at the unconscious revenant version of himself with the look of regret in his eyes. Ashrah then places a hand on his shoulder.

"Don't worry, we'll find a way to restore them." Ashrah assures.

Manado then looks up to face her.

"I hope so." Manado says.

"Now let's make haste, we need to reach the temple before they wake." Sareena says before the three then quickly run out of the krossroads.

Later, the three kombatants can be seen walking up a hillside before spotting a structure in the distance. The structure was a very large building of some kind with many different symbols encased in its walls. Ashrah realizes which building it is.

"It's the temple." Ashrah says.

"Inside lies the key to escaping the Netherrealm." Sareena says.

"Then let us go." Manado says.

The three warriors then enter the temple doors to find that it in shambles. Decor in the temple is scattered about, walls are torn up, glass is shattered, and just the whole overall place was destroyed.

"What happened here?" Manado asks.

"I don't know. Looks like a very angry demon destroyed this place." Ashrah explains.

"Let's hope the library is still intact." Manado says.

"The only way to go appears to be up." Sareena says, pointing toward a staircase leading upwards.

"It appears that way Sareena. Let us go." Ashrah says.

Before they can head up the stairs, a voice is heard from behind.

"You will never escape." The voice says.

The three then turn around to see revenant Nightwolf with a group of Orochi creatures.

"Nightwolf." Sareena realizes.

"You will return with me and die by my hand." Revenant Nightwolf says.

"You know that's not gonna happen. Not without a fight." Manado says.

"I'm counting on it." Revenant Nightwolf says.

The three then charge into battle. Manado and Sareena fight the Orochi while Ashrah fights Kabal.

As they fight, Nightwolf throws one is his tomahawks at Ashrah, narrowly missing her head. They then turn to see Nightwolf walking in with two tomahawks in his hands. Ashrah then charges at Nightwolf, going on the offensive with her kriss but Nightwolf manages block her strikes with his tomahawks. Nightwolf then finds an opening as Ashrah attempts an overhead strike by holding the blade up with his tomahawks before knocking her back by kicking her in the chest. She then assumes her fighting stance.

"No spirits... Nor gods can save you." Revenant Nightwolf says.

They then fight. Nightwolf has proven that he still holds the strength and powers he had in life but nothing can replace the power of the spirits. Ashrah uses her own magic to counteract his and eventually, Nightwolf falls onto the floor unconscious.

"No dark magic can replace the spirit's power." Ashrah says.

The three warriors quickly reach the top of the stairs to find a large library with various books scattered in shelves and all across the floor.

"Now that we're here, what's the plan?" Manado asks.

"I suppose the best idea is to locate the book with the spells." Ashrah suggests.

"There are hundreds of books all over the place. Even with the three of us, it would take hours to find the right one." Sareena points out.

"Then let's not waste anymore time." Manado says.

The three then split off in three different directions to search for the book of spells. For the first thirty minutes or so, no luck. But then Manado finds a book with what looks to be a face on its cover. He opens the books and finds all sorts of different things but as he reached the end of it, he finds what he is looking for. Spells for Sorcery. Seeing that he found it, Manado quickly rushes towards the two demonesses.

"I found what we're looking for." Manado says.

"You found the book of spells?" Ashrah asks.

"Right here. Now all I need to do is open a portal and you can finally escape the Netherrealm." Manado says.

Manado moves to the middle and goes through the spells before finding the spell of opening a portal. He then holds his hand out as he then chants in a Netherrealm language. As he chants, the temple starts to shake. Ashrah and Sareena start to become worried when suddenly, Manado's hand glows with his red energy as a portal with the same red energy glow of his magic then starts to open in front of him. As Manado finishes the chant, the red energy from his hand dissipates and the portal is opens fully.

"You've done it. You opened a portal." Ashrah says.

"I didn't think it'd go so well due to my lack of knowledge of sorcery... but I'm glad I was wrong." Manado says.

The two sisters then approach Manado and embrace him in a hug, Manado returning the gesture.

"Thank you Manado for helping us." Sareena says.

"Your welcome." Manado replies.

The two then let Manado out of their embrace as they then look towards the portal.

"Let's finally leave this horrid place for good." Ashrah says.

"Agreed." Manado says before the three then walk into the portal, finally leaving the Netherrealm.
