In Outworld, the Kahn's temple can be seen being guarded by a few dozen Osh Tekk warriors. Ever since his defeat by the Lin Kuei, Kotal Kahn has been busy with rebuilding his army, which now leaves him vulnerable.

On the rooftop of a building near the temple, Manado, Zaveer, and the now vampirized Mileena can be seen surveying the challenge ahead of them.

"It would seem Kotal amped up the security around the temple." Zaveer points out.

"Looks like we'll have to change the plan a little." Manado says.

"What do you suggest?" Mileena asks.

Manado says nothing but smirks as an idea comes to mind.

Inside the temple, Kotal Kahn can be seen in a small room standing in front a large table. Around the table stands Erron Black, Ermac, and Reptile.

"Ever since the Lin Kuei pushed us back into Outworld, our forces have been placed in a critical state. We must repair the damages as quickly as we can." Kotal Kahn explains.

"If I may step in, our resources are very limited. We simply don't have enough for the job." Erron Black points out.

"Then we must find the resources so we can rebuild." Kotal Kahn says.

Suddenly, a loud screech gains their attention. The four immediately looks through the large window in the room and see a large army of Camazotz heading towards the temple. Inside their arms, it can be seen that every Camazotz are carrying Abaddons. Kotal Kahn's face then shows him glaring.

"Sent out the archers." Kotal Kahn says.

Moments pass before an army of soldiers wielding bows armed with arrows stand on the rooftop of temple. Among the Camazotz, Manado can be seen in his Nightmare form standing in front of them, looking down at the archers aiming their arrows at them.

"Fire!" Nightmare orders.

Immediately afterwards, the Abaddons shoot out Red fireballs at the archers. The archers take notice and manage to roll away from the fireballs and fire their arrows at the demons. The arrows merely bounce off the shadow demon while Nightmare merely catches an arrow and snaps it in his hands. He then looks at his army.

"Drop the Abaddons! We're going in!" Manado orders.

The Camazotz release their grip on the Abaddons before dissipating. The Abaddons begins to skydive towards the temple with Nightmare alongside them. Kotal Kahn takes notice.

"Bring out all the ground forces you can. We are at war." Kotal Kahn orders.

"By this point, some of the Abaddons reached the rooftop and attack the archers while the rest alongside Nightmare reach the ground and attack the guards. One of the guards tries to strike Nightmare but he merely blasts with his magic. Another guard charges towards and swings his sword down, only to have it go right through his body. Nightmare looks at the soldier and grabs his head, crushing it in his hands. As he drops the guards head, he turns to see Erron Black pointing his revolvers at him.

"Go ahead. Take your best shot." Nightmare says.

Erron Black then fires a bullet straight at Nightmare's head, but the bullet goes right through his head and hits one the guards in the chest. Erron Black is shocked to see his guns are ineffective as Nightmare merely looks at him, wagging his finger from side to side in a mocking tone.

Erron then decides to charge, only for Mileena to kick him away, causing him to roll to the ground. Erron Black looks up to see Mileena.

"Well well well. It looks the construct remains alive. I like the new look." Erron Black says.

"Save your pleasantries. They won't save you." Mileena says.

They then fight. Erron Black finds himself at a disadvantage against the now vampirized Mileena. Her new abilities have amped up her strength and aggression, leaving Erron Balck overwhelmed in the fight. It doesn't take long for Erron Black to fall to the ground.

"Mercenaries sicken me." Mileena says.

By this point, the guards have been taken care of as Zaveer and Mileena approach Nightmare.

"Time for the next stage of the plan. Defeat the ground forces." Nightmare says.

Nightmare, Zaveer, and Mileena turn to see a large army of Osh-Tekk warriors approaching them, lead by the Zaterran, Reptile.

"No one attacks the emperor." Reptile says.

"Stand down Reptile, before you fall." Zaveer warns.

"You are outnumbered." Reptile says.

"Are we?" Nightmare asks.

With a snap of his fingers, a blue portal appears behind him. Exiting the portal comes out, Ashrah, Sareena, Khameleon, Tanya, Li Mei, Nitara, and the Vaeternian army.

"We are ending this madness once and for all. Kotal Kahn will fall." Nightmare says.

With a growl, Reptile orders the army to attack. Nightmare then orders his own army to attack. As the two armies clash, Mileena and Zaveer can be seen fighting alongside each other, one Osh Tekk tries to strike down Mileena but is blasted away by Zaveer. Mileena then rips off the head of another Osh Tekk.

"I've always wanted to fight alongside you, mother." Zaveer says as he knocks down another soldier with a strike.

"Thank you son. I hope that we can have more time together after this is over." Mileena says as she slashes an Osh-Tekk across the face with her Sai.

"I would love that." Zaveer says as he backhands another soldier.

Reptile then jumps in and attempts to strike down Mileena but she manages to roll out of the way. She then jumps into a fighting stance.

"I don't know how you are alive but now I will make sure you stay dead." Reptile says.

"Not this time." Mileena says.

They then fight. By normal circumstances, Reptile would've given Mileena a challenge, but Mileena's new abilities makes the fight completely one sided and when the fight ends, Reptile is knocked down.

"I will not fall again." Mileena says.

As Reptile struggles to stand, Khameleon rushes to Mileena's side.

"I'll take care of it from here." Khameleon says.

Mileena nods her head and runs off to aid the others against the Osh-Tekk soldiers. Khameleon then turns back towards Reptile, who has barley reached his knees.

"Hello again, Syzoth." Khameleon says.

Reptile looks up and sees Khameleon standing before him as he returns to his feet.

"Khameleon?" Reptile asks in surprise.

"Had this been better circumstances, I would say that it's good to see you again." Khameleon says.

"The feelings mutual." Reptile says.

"But I have to ask, why do you work for Kotal? He threatens the survival of our species." Khameleon asks.

"Wrong. He wishes to aid the last of the Zaterrens." Reptile says.

"It is clear you haven't seen what happens when you aren't around Kotal. The only race he cares for is his own. All others are seen as inferior to him. Why can't you see the lies that he bestowed upon you?" Khameleon asks.

"He has shown nothing but compassion towards all of Outworld's races. It is clear that your are the one who has been lied to." Reptile says.

Sighing, Khameleon approaches Reptile and places a hand on the side of his face, smiling softly.

"You always were the Kahn's lapdog." Khameleon says.

Her smile turns to anger as she then sends her right hand straight through Reptile's chest. Reptile struggles to remove her arm as he coughs up blood.

"I know you might think this is personal. It isn't, but it had to be done." Khameleon says.

Khamelon then rips her arms out of Reptile's chest as he then falls dead to the floor.

"I'm sorry, Syzoth." Khameleon says before walking away from the dead Zaterran.

Nightmare then knocks down one more soldier before finding that the army has been finished. As he transforms back into Manado, he looks towards his Allies.

"Everyone alright?" Manado asks.

Zaveer, Mileena, Li Mei, Ashrah, Sareena, and Nitara nod their heads in response. Nightmare then looks towards Khameleon.

"You doing alright." Manado asks.

"Yeah... I'm okay." Khameleon says.

Nightmare then looks at his Allies.

"Stage two has been completed. Now we move to stage three. Take the fight to Kotal Kahn himself." Manado says.

With that, the group rushes into the temple, determined to finish what they started. Eventually, they find themselves in the throne room of the temple where they find Kotal Kahn, waiting for them.

"I should've known you'd be behind this, Manado." Kotal Kahn says.

"You brought this upon yourself Kotal. You threaten Outworld for the last time." Manado says.

"Clearly you don't understand my intention, Chujin." Kotal Kahn says.

"We know damn well what your intentions are. Wiping off every Outworld race and leaving only the Osh Tekk as the only remains race to thrive. We won't let that happen." Zaveer says.

"Then go ahead. Try and stop me, but you will only fall like all those who dared to oppose me, like the repugnant spawn that was your mother." Kotal Kahn says.

Angered, Zaveer charges towards Kotal Kahn, only to be blasted away by green magic. Manado manages to catch Zaveer before he hits the floor and sees that the one responsible is Ermac.

"Dispose of them Ermac." Kotal Kahn orders as he sits down on the throne.

"As you wish, emperor." Ermac says as he sends a blast of green soul energy.

The group manage to avoid the blast and charge at the creation of Shao Kahn. However, they one by one begin to be blasted away by Ermac's magic until all that's left are the Chujins and Mileena. Manado attempts to strike Ermac from behind but Ermac takes notice and holds him in the air with his green magic and slowly begins to crush him. Mileena tries to aid him, but Ermac manages to restrain her as well.

"You may have tricked the emperor once, but it won't happen again." Ermac says.

Manado's eyes suddenly glow red and he disperses a large wave of red energy, knocking Ermac off balance, causing him to release his hold on both himself and Mileena. As Manado struggles to his feet, Mileena confronts Ermac.

"You will suffer for attacking my family!" Mileena yells.

"We are many. You are one. We will destroy you." Ermac says.

They then fight. Even when empowered by her vampirism, Ermac proves to be one of Mileena's toughest fights. Ermac's magic manages to keep Mileena at bay and it forces her to use everything she knows. After a brutal battle, Mileena knocks Ermac down to the floor.

"You are finished." Mileena says.

As Ermac struggles to stand, Green magic begins to envelop his body. Ermac screams in agony for a brief moment before disintegrating. It is then revealed that Manado used his magic to absorb all of Ermac's souls. Glaring at Manado and Mileena, Kotal Kahn stands from the throne and approaches the two.

"It would seem that you leave me with no choice but to dispose of you myself, Chujin." Kotal Kahn says.

"Not this time Kotal. Your time as Kahn ends tonight." Manado says.

"And my vengeance will be complete." Mileena says.

"All you'll have is bitter defeat and you will be seen as an example of why you shouldn't stand against me." Kotal Kahn says.

Manado then slips into a fighting stance but Mileena puts an arm in front of him.

"You sure about this Mileena?" Manado asks.

"This is my fight Manado. It's up to me to end this." Mileena says.

Nodding in response, Manado goes to aid the downed kombatants while Mileena confronts Kotal Kahn.

"First you overthrow me and steal my throne, then you take efforts to cause mass extinctions to many of the races of Outworld, and now you threaten the safety of my family! It's past time you pay for your betrayal." Mileena says.

They then fight. Beforehand, Kotal Kahn was able to defeat Mileena. But now, she has been empowered and found a determination like never before. All those things give her the edge in the battle and in the end, Mileena is victorious.

"You are Kahn no more." Mileena says.

As Kotal struggles to stand, Mileena grabs him by the throat and holds him against the wall.

"You won't terrorize Outworld anymore." Mileena says.

She then opens her mouth wide, ready to bite down on Kotal's head, but Manado's voice stops her.

"Cease, Mileena." Manado says.

Mileena looks to see Manado approaching her with the rest of the group behind him.

"After everything he's done, he must..." Mileena says before being cut off.

"He will pay for his crimes. But killing him makes us no better than he is. I think that the three of us should have a long conversation." Manado suggests.

Mileena looks at Kotal for a moment before looking back at Manado.

"Fine." Mileena says.

Manado then looks towards the rest of the group.

"Stay here, I'll be back." Manado says.

Manado and Mileena then drag Kotal to a room on the right of the throne room and shut the door behind them. Around thirty minutes pass before Manado and Mileena exit the room.

"Well? What happened in there?" Zaveer asks.

"Let's just say that we have come to an agreement. And as of now, Mileena as Kahn has been reinstated." Manado says.

Mileena smiles at Manado as Zaveer does as well.

"But what of Kotal? What will happen to him?" Li Mei asks.

"In exchange for sparing his life, he would not only resign as Kahn but he swore to not commit his horrendous acts again as long as we made him General." Mileena explains.

"Are you sure that is wise?" Ashrah asks.

"Trust me Ashrah. It is for the benefit for everyone, including all of Outworld." Manado says.

Manado then walks towards the balcony beside the throne and looks upon Outworld's vast landscape.

"At long last, Outworld is finally at peace." Manado says.
