*A couple hours later*

Lincoln just managed to get off the plane after a very long flight to Tokyo and made his way towards a taxi outside.

"Hello there, where to?"

"Tokyo University of the Arts please, thanks" (this is the only one I've even heard of in Japan)

*Meanwhile, deep underneath a Japanese Central Government building*

There are various kinds of machinery and a central console connected to what looks like a man-made portal gateway a numerous amount of scientists and soldiers in the room. The lead scientist then started working on the console and the gateway begins to activate creating a dark blue portal in the middle of it.

"Teleportation portal active, gateway energy currently stable and holding"

All of a sudden, alarms started to go off while the gateway started to shake and the portal turned purple with a dark aura.

"Sir, something's wrong, massive amount of unknown energy is being detected."

"Turn off the portal, NOW!!!"

"I'm trying but something's coming through, prepare yourselves"

Everyone knew that something was about to happen so the soldiers told the scientists to evacuate to higher ground and warn everyone above while they line up to prepare for whatever might come out of the portal. A silhouette of a monster then approached but the dark aura coming from the portal prevents the soldiers from getting a clear visual of the silhouette but they didn't want to take any chances so they open fired on the creature in question but it didn't work. All of their bullets barely made scratch on the creatures body, when the soldiers ran out of bullets the creature laughed and fired a wave of dark energy and killed all of the soldiers in the room but not without destroying the central console by accident and thus cutting power and short-circuiting the gateway, making the portal disappear.

"hmph , a minor setback, now that I'm in the earth realm creating another portal myself will be easy once I find the right location of entry and gather allies but I gotta get outta here and complete the mission first while the opportunity is still fresh first."

The creature then turned it's own body into black smoke and manage to escape the underground level of the government building through the vents.

*Back with Lincoln*

Lincoln was on his way his the university and meet with the headmaster to collect the official paperwork regarding his enrollment there considering he was living in the states before but he can't seemed to find his way around the area and his phone ran out on the way after the long flight. It was still summer but it wasn't boiling hot outside so there wasn't many people around now but luckily he manage to spot someone who might be willing to help him out. He sees a teenage girl with short black hair and blue eyes, most likely his age as well, she's dressed in a white shirt, a brown skirt, black shoes with leggings, and a red purse on her; she appeared to be staring at a strange disk in her hands with a blue triangular core and orange exterior and emitting a type of energy that's slightly unknowingly calling to Lincoln and he felt the call a little but chose to ignored it. (See image below for visual aid)





"Sumimasen?" (translate: "Excuse me?")

"Hmm?" she turned around, quickly put the disk in question inside her purse and looked at Lincoln and was the first thing she noticed was his white hair even through he's the same age and was in deep thought for a moment but then snaps back to reality to figure out what he might want with her.

"Do you think you can help me get to the university around here."

"Uh which university are you looking for" she answered nervously due to her English skills being slightly rusty despite learning about it.

"The Tokyo University of the Arts, I'm starting school there later on."

"Oh, I'm actually heading in that direction right now."

"Ah, then do you mind if we go together cause I kinda don't know how to navigate the area."

The girl got a little suspicious because he's a foreign stranger and she doesn't know what he might do to her if she let her guard down but she observed him again and saw that he doesn't seemed armed and really did look lost and that her family thought her basic self-defense to give her a chance to run for help, so she decided to take a chance "S-Sure, I don't mind but don't try anything to me."

Lincoln can see the paranoid look on her face and raised both of his hands "I wouldn't even think about it, it's just my first time in Japan that's all, you have my word for what it's worth anyways."

The walk was awkward and silent, the girl made sure that she was leading and that Lincoln was next to her but at a certain distance to keep an eye on him. Neither of them spoke to each other and Lincoln was uncomfortable with the situation so he decided to start a friendly conversation first and thought carefully for a while on what to say and not make it more awkward but before he knew it, they had arrived in front of the university.

"This is the place."

"O-Oh, tha- *clears his throat* arigato" (translate: "thank you").

"I'll be going then."

"W-Wait a second." The girl then turns around to face Lincoln again.

"I'm Lincoln Loud by the way, you?"

"Riku, Riku Kasami. See you around."

Just as she was about to depart and have their separate ways for now, a black smoke crash landed in front of them and the silhouette from before had appeared and releasing a dark energy as he lands, knocking both of them back. It is revealed that the silhouette is a creature that resembles a dragon with a human body with black and red armor, scales, claws, yellow eyes, and a large crystal in the center of its torso.



(I'm not good with drawing monsters and enemies, it's suppose to be bigger but imagine it is.)

"Fouund you Kasami!!"

Riku was panicking while she was on the ground next to Lincoln but quickly got back up and grabbed her purse to pull out the mysterious disk from before but also another device as well. It was a white and violet with a small rail one side and button on the top along with a switch as well.





"Please work this time" Riku then placed the device on her waist and it attached itself to her as if it was some kind of belt and she then placed the disk in the center of the belt locking it in but something goes wrong.

"CONFIRMED... ERROR"

All of a sudden, static electricity started to emit from the belt knocking Riku once again and ejecting the disk off the belt. "Arrgh... not again"

"Muahahaha... still can't transform unlike Kyoya right." The monster then tries to attack Riku but by instinct, Lincoln gets up to charge towards the monster and pushes it back with his body.

"Run Riku get out of here" unfortunately the monster managed to kick Lincoln off him and he lands in front of Riku.

"How very foolish of you"

Lincoln didn't know what was happening or what to do next but the man with the plan always have a general idea when unexpected things occur and one of the lessons he learned from his family is that if he gets into a fight with someone he can't beat, he just need to be smart and that it's ok to run the other way and maybe come back another day when he's ready to face them again. He quickly pointed behind the monster and shouted "HEY YOU, QUICK CALL FOR HELP!" and the monster quickly turned around to see nothing and Lincoln quickly use this opportunity to grab the disk and Riku and run away fast, "quick come on" "o-ok" when the monster noticed that he was tricked Lincoln and Riku were already far away from it.

"I can't believe I fell for that trick."

*Later somewhere else*

Both Lincoln and Riku were out of breath after running so far so fast and Lincoln still unintentionally had the strange disk in his hand. They had ran to a place where the monster wouldn't be able to find to easily yet wouldn't put any other innocent people in danger.

"Thank you for helping me out back there."

"I was just doing what anyone would do to a person in distress and no offense or anything but what the hell was that thing, why was it after you, and what's up with that belt and this disk."

Riku was hesitant was give him an explanation but there was no denying it, Lincoln had already seen too much and he deserved to know the truth at this point.

"That monster is called a Synthoid, an elite combatant from another dimension sent over to find ways to takeover our dimension and it was after me because I'm the descendant of the original guardian that stopped them centuries ago called Kamen Rider" Riku then showed the belt to Lincoln. "This belt was created with special inter-dimensional technology with my ancestor's power from my bloodline and that disk was a core component to activate its power and transform into a Kamen Rider called an ark but it's not compatible with me, this one is called the "Cyrus disk" and it's a special kind of ark that was created out of pure dimensional energy instead of artificial technology that adapts to it." She looked like she was about to cry but wiped her tears away instead "my older brother Kyoya was a Rider but he was killed years ago after destroying their main method of getting any elites here and since then I've been trying to take his place as my own Rider but can't and have been making do with custom weaponry my family has made."

Lincoln wanted to say something to comfort her but suddenly felt something from the ark in his hand, the blue core of the ark's center started to glow as if it was pulsing. "Uh... is it suppose to do that."

Riku looked over at the ark and started to observe it and she had a surprised look on her face "E-EEEH!! how is this possible."

"What, what's happening"

"Somehow the ark is detecting you compatible but I don't know why, have you deal with Synthoids from another dimensions before?"

Lincoln thought carefully and suddenly remembered a very bad memory with his old family that he thought he had forgotten "actually... now that I think about it, I did travel to a alternative dimension back when I was 11 with my old family but I don't want to talk about it, it's not a very good story so please don't push me to explain but maybe another time I promise."

"O-Ok but I will ask you to fight that Synthoid from earlier for me."

"Wait what."

"Right now, only you have the necessary amount of power to transform into a Kamen Rider and that Synthoid won't stop coming after us until it is defeated and this is a chance to be more than what you are now, with this belt and your power you can be a great hero, a Kamen Rider."

Lincoln was deep in thought at that moment, she literally asked him to become a type of superhero on the spot and it was too much for Lincoln's brain to process all that information but his choices on that matter were limited given the circumstances and he always did wanted to be a superhero like Ace Savvy when he was younger but not like this, it was scary but that was being a hero is all about. "Ok, how do I transform into this Kamen Rider you were talking about."

Riku explained to him the basic transformation procedure "one more thing, my brother always did a small pose while he was transforming just to give a little boost of confidence."

"A small pose huh"

Suddenly an explosion occurs in front of them and the Synthoid returns "Anata o mitsukemashita!!!" (translate: "found you!!!")

The two of them got up and start running away and eventually got into a more open space but unfortunately Riku tripped and fell and she accidentally dropped the belt too, Lincoln was about to help her get back up and was pushed back with a blast of dark energy.

"I'll deal with you later for making me look like a fool but duty first" the Synthoid then picks Riku up by the shirt and was about to ready his claw to kill her but Lincoln interrupts it. "Hey dummy!!"

"Huh" the Synthoid sees Lincoln standing confidently with the belt in his left hand and the Cyrus disk in the other.

"Why don't you pick on someone your own size" he then placed the belt on his waist.

"HA you seriously think a useless nobody like you has what it takes to transform."

"Oh I know so cause I'm anything but useless nor a nobody, I'm the man with the plan and I'm gonna beat you." Lincoln flipped the disk in the air and catches it with his other hand like a coin and placed it in the center of belt.

"CONFIRMED... CYRUS"

The belt than played some kind of techno standby beat (imagine first 30 seconds of The Terror by Designer Drugs; look it up on YouTube) and Lincoln raised his right arm so the side and quickly brought it across his chest with his middle and index finger out just like the signature pose Ace Savvy does.

"Henshin!!"

Lincoln then pressed the button on the top of the belt and the beat stopped.

"LETS GO... CYRUS"

The energy from emitted from the disk to the belt transformed Lincoln's body into a black bodysuit with black and orange boots and pieces of orange armor and helmet materialized and attached itself onto his chest, shoulders, arms, legs, and head. The armor then charged up to fill the bars on his arms, legs, and eyes and releases a force that knocks the Synthoid back and forces it to let go of Riku who then ran to cover. Lincoln felt a surge of power and looked down to get a clear visual of his new orange armor and feel his helmet and found out that it had horns and he also had sharp shoulder pads with thorns.





"Impossible... how can you transform when you're not a member of the Kasami family"

"Don't really have a solid idea other than a theory but I'm not complaining, now, time to get to work."
