(Running out of ideas for chapter titles)
After the battle, the chaos died down enough and Lincoln decided to approach Mech.
"So, who are you really?"
Mech spun the wheel on his belt to the left and undid his transformation.
"POWER DOWN"
(For visual aid it's like how the Kamen Rider Kabuto cancels his transformation)
*Deformation*
Lincoln was surprised to see that Mech was none other than Seika Yoichi.
"Seika? But how?"
"It's as I said before, Dr. Hunter chose me as an emergency user though I never expected to become a Kamen Rider on the spot like that and officially I'm not even suppose to use this yet."
"Well not any more, I saw in action back there. Kenshi's superiors wanted results and now they have them. Congratulations Seika, you're now a Kamen Rider."
"Wow really?! I won't let you down Cyrus-senpai!"
"... Umm aren't you forgetting something a bit important?" Riku said while still inside the robot.
"Huh?... Aw crap I was so caught up with the fight that I almost forgot!"
"She knows by the way."
"Crap, sorry Seika but I'm going to meet up with you some other time."
"O-Oh, ok."
Lincoln quickly rushed out of the area to find Luna and explain everything while Riku activated some thrusters on her robot and flew back to the base.
*Later*
After some time, Lincoln finally spotted Luna and Sam on a sidewalk near a river.
"Luna!"
Luna saw Lincoln still in transformed running over to her.
"Lincoln... I was worried."
"Can't say I blamed you."
*Removes disk and presses button*
"CANCEL"
*Deformation*
"... So, you found out who I really am?"
"Yeah... you're Kamen Rider Cyrus."
"I'm sure you have many questions, and I am willing to answer them."
"... So how long you've been fighting these monsters?"
"Those monsters are called Synthoids and I've pretty much been fighting them since my first day of arriving here in Tokyo."
*Meanwhile in the dark dimension*
Ragnok lay still, her crimson eyes staring blankly at the ceiling of Sentria's lab. The dull hum of the medical machines filled the silence, punctuated only by the occasional flicker of dark energy surging through the wires connected to her body. She could still feel the remnants of her battle with Cyrus and his allies, the burns from his fire, the stinging wounds from his sword, and the crushing weight of her own failures. But none of that compared to the empty ache in her chest. Pyra was gone. Seras sat beside her, her hands gently resting over Ragnok's own. The touch was warm, grounding, but it only made Ragnok feel more hollow.
"You're not fine, I can tell." Seras whispered, her voice laced with concern.
Ragnok scoffed, turning her head away.
"I don't need your pity."
"It's not pity, it's understanding." Seras said softly.
Ragnok clenched her jaw, fighting the emotions bubbling up inside her.
"She was an idiot, always rushing in, never thinking things through. It was bound to catch up to her eventually." she muttered.
Seras didn't respond right away, simply watching as Ragnok's grip tightened around the sheets of her bed. The way her voice wavered, the way her body trembled ever so slightly, it was obvious.
"She was your comrade, more than that... she was your friend." Seras finally said.
Ragnok closed her eyes. The word stung more than any wound she had suffered in battle. Did she ever truly consider Pyra a friend? They argued constantly, their rivalry pushing them to the brink time and time again, they even fought to see who can win Sera's affection. They never fully saw eye to eye, and yet... Ragnok found herself looking forward to those clashes. Pyra was reckless, arrogant, and stubborn, but she was also fierce, unyielding, and loyal. Even when they fought, there was an unspoken understanding between them, and now she was gone. Ragnok exhaled sharply, forcing her emotions down.
"She made her choice, and she paid the price for it." she said coldly.
Seras frowned but didn't let go of Ragnok's hand.
"You don't have to pretend you don't care."
Ragnok's grip on the sheets tightened further.
"Caring makes you weak."
Seras shook her head.
"No, it doesn't... You cared for me even when we first met or when I tried to selfishly push you away."
Ragnok turned her head slightly, just enough to look at Seras from the corner of her eye.
"You sound just like her."
Silence hung between them, heavy and suffocating. Then, the doors to the lab creaked open. The quiet atmosphere shattered as Satvar, Grim, and Zakros entered, their expressions grim. Ragnok immediately sat up, ignoring the pain that flared through her body.
"What is it?" she asked, her tone sharp.
Zakros folded his arms.
"The King wants to see us. Now."
Seras and Ragnok exchanged a glance.
"What does he want?" Seras asked cautiously.
Grim's usual smirk was absent, his expression dark.
"He's not pleased about what happened to Pyra. And he has plans to ensure it never happens again."
Ragnok's fists clenched.
"Tch... figures."
Satvar crossed her arms.
"Whatever he's planning, we need to be ready. Cyrus and his allies have proven to be more of a threat than we anticipated. It'll be up to you when the time comes, I'm handling something else on my end on earth so I'll be counting on the rest of you."
Her eyes flickered toward Ragnok.
"You especially."
Ragnok swung her legs over the side of the bed, wincing slightly as she stood.
"Good. I want another shot at that bastard anyway."
Seras placed a hand on her shoulder.
"But, Ragnok—"
"I know, I'm still healing... but that doesn't mean I still can't become stronger." Ragnok interrupted, shaking off Seras' hand.
*Back with Lincoln*
For a while now, Lincoln's been explain to Luna and Sam how he's become a Kamen Rider and what he's been doing since then.
"So yeah, that's pretty much it."
"Unbelievable... To think that my brother's become an actual superhero."
"It's not all fun and games, it's serious work and people might get hurt and I might get hurt or worse when trying to protect them. I mean I did tell you that I got poisoned by a Synthoid once and almost died."
"Yep, I remember that part."
*Ring* *Ring*
Lincoln pulled out his phone and saw that Ronnie Anne was video calling him.
"You know, now's a good time as ever to tell her and others about you."
"Woah I don't not sure Lincoln."
"Don't worry, I'm sure she'll understand that you're a different person now."
"... Ok."
*Answers the video call*
"Hey Ronnie Anne!"
"Hey Lincoln, how's it going? We've haven't heard from you in bit."
"Yeah, I've been occupied but is everyone there too?"
"Yeah, I can call them over to talk for bit if you like."
"Please do... I have something to say."
After a few minutes, everyone gathered around for the video call on Ronnie Anne's side and Lincoln can see each and every one of their faces.
"Alright Lincoln, everyone's here."
"Great... So uh there no easier way to do this but I need you guys to meet someone you might already know... *Gets Luna and Sam into the frame* ... You guys remember Luna and Sam right?"
"... Uh hi everyone." Luna said awkwardly.
"Luna Loud!" Maria said.
"It's Luna Parker now mom. You know that only me and Lily kept the last name of Loud." Lincoln corrected.
"Oh, sorry son. It's just so surprising that you would see her again."
"Well let's be honest, this kind of thing bound to happen one way or another eventually but... I readied myself as much as I can before and here we are now... Baby steps."
"I'm so happy for you Lincoln." Rosa said.
"Thanks Abuela."
From the corner of his eye, Lincoln spotted Riku approaching them while waving and he gestured to her to come closer for the call.
"There's someone else I've been wanting to introduce you guys to."
*Gets Riku in frame*
"Hello!"
"Everyone, this is my lovely girlfriend Riku."
"I knew it!" Ronnie Anne said.
"Ha ha, that's my brother." Bobby said.
*A while later*
The night air in Tokyo carried a crisp chill as Lincoln ended the call with Ronnie Anne and the others. A sense of relief washed over him, one less weight pressing on his shoulders. He glanced at Luna and Sam, who were still processing everything, and then at Riku, who gave him a reassuring nod.
"So... that went better than I expected." Lincoln admitted, slipping his phone back into his pocket.
"Yeah, no one flipped out or called you crazy, so that's a win." Sam joked, nudging Luna.
"Still... I can't believe this is real, my little bro, a Kamen Rider." Luna muttered, arms crossed as she stared out over the river.
She looked back at him.
"And you've been doing this all by yourself?"
"Not entirely alone, I've had Riku, her family, Tanaka who's a friend in the police, and a couple other people watching my back. But yeah... for a little while most of the time, it's just me out there fighting on the field." Lincoln said.
Luna's expression softened.
"Dude, that's insane."
Lincoln exhaled.
"I know, but if I can help someone in danger and fight of the Synthoids with my power then it's my responsibility... and you can't tell anyone, I've been trying to keep it a secret even though plenty of people already know. Even Ronnie Anne and Sid found out but they understood why and kept it a secret from everyone else."
"... What what?!"
Riku cleared her throat.
"If I may interrupt this heartfelt moment, I believe we should get moving. We're still out in the open, and after everything that went down tonight, we need to take time to relax back home and you can show Luna and Sam what you can do."
"Yeah, you're right, let's head back."
"Uh, back where?" Luna asked.
"Riku's place, it's comfortable and acts as a base for us... don't tell me you're not tempted to see our secret base."
With that, the group made their way through the quiet city streets, their footsteps echoing under the glow of the streetlights.
*Meanwhile, in the Dark Dimension*
Ragnok stood in front of the throne room's massive doors, her hands clenched into fists. The pain from her wounds still lingered, but she ignored it, focusing instead on the boiling rage inside her. Seras stood beside her, hesitant.
"Ragnok, just... be careful in there."
"Tch. I don't need you worrying about me... not yet anyway." Ragnok scoffed, pushing the doors open.
Inside, the chamber was bathed in eerie purple light. At the far end, seated atop a jagged throne of obsidian, was The King. His glowing red eyes locked onto Ragnok the moment she entered.
"You have failed me." his voice rumbled like thunder, shaking the very walls of the throne room.
Ragnok dropped to one knee, bowing her head.
"I take full responsibility. But I won't let it happen again."
The King leaned forward, his eyes narrowing.
"You are weak."
Ragnok tensed, but said nothing.
"However, I do not discard my warriors so easily... especially those who still have a use." The King continued.
A figure stepped out from the shadows, Graves, one of the King's most trusted generals. He carried a vial filled with a swirling, crimson liquid.
"This, is a catalyst. It will enhance your abilities... but it will also change you." General Graves said, holding up the vial.
Ragnok narrowed her eyes.
"Change me how?"
"That is for you to discover, if you wish to defeat Kamen Rider Cyrus, you will need more than strength, you will need evolution." The King said.
Ragnok stared at the vial for a long moment. Then, without hesitation, she reached out and took it.
"I'll do whatever it takes." she said, her voice cold and unwavering.
Seras looked at her with concern, but Ragnok ignored it. She had made up her mind and then Seras quickly exited the throne room.
*Back with Lincoln*
By the time Lincoln and the others reached Riku's house, the exhaustion from the night's battle was catching up to him. Kenshi was already calling him on his phone and he answered.
"... Yeah?"
"I take it everything went smoothly?" he asked.
"Define 'smoothly'..." Lincoln muttered.
"I saw your fight out there. You handled yourself well."
"I was a 2-on-1 that turned into a 6-on-1 but thanks, by the way... about Seika—" Lincoln said, rubbing the back of his head.
"Already taken care of, my superiors saw the footage through his helmet's visor. They're impressed. Looks like you've got another Kamen Rider on your side and they can finally relax and get their head out of their asses." Kenshi interrupted.
"Good... I think. I'll see ya."
Lincoln ends the call as Riku stretched her arms.
"Well, as much as I'd love to sit around and chat, I think we all deserve some rest and I'm gonna call it a night. Let it be said, piloting the robot and fighting in it took more effort than I thought and the inside wasn't comfortable for me."
"That's because you don't get enough exercise nowadays and spend most of your time either behind a screen or inside the base working." Isuzu yelled.
"But mom, you know that my work's important."
"... Wow so you're Riku's mother." Sam asked.
"Yep, Isuzu Kasami. Pleasure to meet you."
A bit later once introductions were done and Riku retreating to her room for the night, Lincoln headed into the living room and pulled a book down on the bookshelf to open up the stairway to the base and headed down. Both Luna and Sam had the same reaction of when Lincoln first entered the base back then as they take in all of the advance technology and inventions around them.
"Oh my god... so this your base."
"Yep, we've been using this place to train, work on equipment, monitor the city, and other stuff."
Lincoln then showed Sam and Luna the simulation arena, Riku's lab, the armory with all of his weapons and the new robot Riku made and fought with, the large platform with his motorcycle on it, and lastly the giant super computer.
"Wow, do you and Riku use this to see if any of those Synthoids are attacking the city." Sam asked.
"Well it's not just us that uses this place, there's also our boosters which are like a living power-up for me... Calcifer, Alexander, don't be shy and come say hello to my sister Luna and her girlfriend Sam!"
The two boosters then appeared out of hiding and Lincoln introduced the two of them to Luna and Sam. Calcifer, the fire booster, a small red flying jet with fire abilities and Alexander, the armor booster, a small green tank with a strong defense and powerful artillery.
"Hello there. Nice to meet you." Calcifer said.
"Calcifer had already informed on who you are and about Lincoln's past. Glad to see that the two of you are starting to get along again." Alexander said.
"I've heard about Lincoln being about to change forms to use different powers. Who would've thought the he uses these guys to do it." Luna said.
"Yep, we can be very reliable in a fight."
"Except sometimes when he really needs you, you're late." Sam claimed.
Calcifer then hovered in the corner in a depressed state.
"I still try to show up on time you know."
"Oh calm down, you can still get him out of a jam when things get a bit too much." Alexander said, trying to comfort him.
"You didn't even show up when it was a 6-on-1 and Calcifer was trapped in a water dome for a good portion of the fight."
Alexander fell into a similar depressed state as Calcifer.
"It's not my fault I can't fly into battle like him."
"Alright alright, cheer up you two. You guys are still plenty helpful and I'm glad to have your aid when I need it in a fight." Lincoln said.
The two boosters then finally cheered up.
"Y-Yeah, you're right. Thanks Lincoln."
"Let's not forget our friendly AI assistant with an android humagear body sometimes... say hello Ai-chan."
The main computer screen then turned on and Ai-chan was on display.
"Hello Luna, good evening Sam, I am Ai-chan. An AI assistant created by Mistress Riku to help with her work and aid with Master Lincoln's battles and development as a Kamen Rider."
"Wait, Riku made you?!"
"Affirmative."
"Yeah, most of this stuff in the base Riku made. She's like Lisa and Lana except her inventions are useful and actually works."
*Meanwhile somewhere else in the city*
Currently, Seika was out exercising with some information still fresh in his mind. He had just just gotten off the phone with Kenshi about him confirming the fact that he's now officially Kamen Rider Mech despite originally him temporary filling the role for the emergency battle earlier today. However, some part of him still doubt that he would be able to handle or if was worthy enough or even if this decision was fair to everyone else that were training with him.
"I wonder, who even is Cyrus underneath all that armor? I get that he has his own reasons to hide who he is but still." Seika thought.
Out of nowhere a portal appears, Seika sees this and hides behind a nearby tree while peeking out a little to see who would come out and it's revealed that it was Seras who emerges from the portal with a concern expression and deep in thought. Seeing this, he worried about what kind of plans she might try to do so he pulled his belt from his jacket and put it on his waist before coming out of his hiding spot and confronting Seras directly.
"Hey!"
Seras turn her head to see Seika as her thoughts were interrupted and expression turned serious when she sees his belt.
"...Who are you?"
*Pulls out his own disk*
"Just someone who can't let Synthoids like you try to cause chaos."
*Inserts disk in slot inside belt*
"STARTING UP"
*Plays standby theme* (It's basically Electro's theme but it's only the best part)
As Seika's belt plays its standby theme, he did his transformation pose with was a bit similar to the first part of how Kamen Rider Fourze pose.
"Henshin!"
*Spins the wheel to the right (his left) with his left arm with one swoop*
"INITIATE"
*Transformation* (For visual aid it's basically the same style of how Kamen Rider Kabuto transform)
"Oh I see, you're the new one."
"I am... Kamen Rider Mech."
"Regardless, I have something important to do and I can't let you stop me."
Seras lowered her body into a fighting stance while extracting her spider legs from her back and Seika held up his hand and his sword manifested in his hand. Seras was about to attack but a hand on her shoulder stopped her, she turned around to see Satvar.
"Lady Satvar? What are you doing here?"
"I too have business here on earth by it's not as personal as yours. Not to mention that Sentria and Orchid asked me to look after you while they make sure Ragnok doesn't do something stupid."
"R-Really?"
"Honestly, I'm not a babysitter yet here I am."
"I-I'm sorry for the trouble."
"It's alright Seras, it's not really your fault but you and your mothers own me. Now go do whatever you came here to do, I'll stay here and play a little before leaving."
Seras disappeared in a flashstep as Satvar manifested her trident before engaging with Seika in battle. The two of them clashed blades and for a while Seika held his own but despite the improvement in his training and during the previous battle, he still still new to wielding a sword and close quarter combat in general and Satvar managed to push him back.
"You were quite the trouble before but now you can't last 10 minutes against me in close quarter combat with those amateur skills."
"Damn it."
Satvar was about to attack again but all of a sudden her trident was blocked by Ryu who showed up already transformed and with his sword ready as he inserted his Engine gaia memory in it.
"ENGINE... JET"
An energy bullet is then fired from the tip of Ryu's blade at high speed and knocked back Satvar.
"Ah I see, clearly you're on a different level. Unfortunately I'm rather busy with the search for my treasure so I'll be heading off now."
Satvar then blasted Ryu with a jet of water at a high speed, pressure, and temperature and used the steam as cover to escape.
"Tch, they got away."
*Deformation*
Seika got up and undid his transformation as well.
"POWER DOWN"
*Deformation*
"Um... you're Kamen Rider Accel right?"
"Yeah... you're Seika correct? I overheard your name from the kid from the battle earlier today."
"That's me... wait, what do you mean by kid? Are you saying the Cyrus is a kid?!"
"Don't ask me questions... although, he is much younger than me. Regardless, there was another Synthoid here other than that one... was there?"
"Yeah, I believe their name is Seras although I don't have any idea where she could be or what she's planning."
"Then we'll just have to find her before something bad happens."
*A few hours later with Lincoln*
After escorting Luna and Sam back to their band's tour bus, he returned back to his dorm but along the way he sensed a familiar presence and immediately turned around to see Seras approaching behind him.
"So, what do you want this time Seras. Relationship advice? Or perhaps you want revenge for Pyra?"
"It's a bit more complicated than that. King Nalos has given Ragnok some kind of vial that will enhance her but has some kind of unknown side effect that will change her."
"Why are you telling me this?"
"Currently my mothers are trying to prevent Ragnok from doing something stupid with that vial but if the worst case scenario happens I would like to ask for you not to destroy her but find a way to save her from whatever side effect the vial gave her."
"That's quite a tall order, I don't even have the slightest idea on how to save her. You said it yourself, the vial will change her but the actual effect is unknown... Not to mention we're supposed to be enemies anyways.
"Oh... I-I see."
"However... I suppose anything's possible with the right kind of help. If you can find out more about what the vial does, I can try to think of something but I can't promise anything."
"O-Of course! I'll get back right away."
"Hold on a second, I'm not doing this without something in return. Last time we had some kind of arrangement, you gave me information on Brimgor in exchange that I gave you advise with your relationships."
"What do you wish to know?"
"Well... I haven't seen any of the Shadow Reapers since my battle with Khan that one time but I'll cross the bridge when I get to it so for now I'll ask for more information about the Dark Knights. Particularly Satvar, the one with blue armor and a trident and was able to use water for attacks."
"... Why her?"
"Currently, she seems to be the most troublesome of the Dark Knights due to her being able to counter my Fire Mode, and I'm not sure if I should use my Armor Mode either."
"I see, unfortunately I don't really know much about her so if you to know a weakness or something I can't tell you but I can say that she is currently here on earth looking for something and had another run in with that new silver Kamen Rider, Mech I believe."
"Looking for what exactly."
"I don't know... but I can find out."
Seras flashstepped again leaving Lincoln alone once again.
"... *Sigh*... I can never get an actual break from Synthoids."
*Later in the dark dimension with Ragnok*
Right now Ragnok was being tied down to one of Sentria's medical beds by Orchid while Sentria was running a test on the vial that was given to her.
"Ok, I get that we haven't really gotten along all that much but is this really necessary? General Graves told me that the vial will make me stronger to defeat Cyrus."
"Well I am the head of science and magic research of the Synthoid army so I highly doubt that anything Graves made won't probably work, either that or just end of destroying you." Sentria said analyzing the vial.
"Normally I would let you become whatever the vial turns you into but I can tell that Seras is starting to care more about you so I'm doing this on her behalf." Orchid stated.
"Speaking of which, what could she be doing on Earth? Surely she not up to something that could put her in harm."
"I'm sure everything will be alright Sentria, just in case I asked Satvar to look out for her while she searches for a certain treasure."
Just then, Seras had entered the room.
"Speak of the King, we were just talking about you Seras."
"I don't mind but anyways, what does the vial do should Ragnok be stupid enough to take it?"
"Alright I get it, I won't take the damn thing!" Ragnok yelled.
"... Noted, now regarding Seras' question. I've ran multiple tests and found out that consuming this vial will result in a mutation of the physical body of a Synthoid into some kind of monstrous beast and grow in size but it also results in the Synthoid to go berserk and lack control." Sentria explained.
"As if I would let her take that thing."
Seras went ahead and hugged Ragnok while she was still tied to the medical bed with concern.
"... It's amazing how much your relationship with Ragnok can develop in a short time." Orchid said.
"I did say that I was give it a chance. Oh that reminds me, I would like to ask about some stuff regarding Lady Satvar..."
"Oh? What is it you wish to know?" Ragnok said.
*Meanwhile with Satvar*
Satvar is currently traveling deep underwater at a speed of around 100 miles per hour in search of the treasure she mentioned earlier.
"Now where could you be? Even the slightest trace can allow me to pinpoint a general location or a direction." Satvar thought.
By pure luck, Satvar finally managed to sense the energy emitted by her treasure. She swam over a small hill and spotted a dome of water that acted as a protective barrier and as a camouflage as well. Satvar attempted to dive down and use her powers to pass through the barrier but it reacted and pushed her back with its own energy.
"A barrier that automatically rejects any Synthoids or anyone not of this world. Interesting... best if I head back and consult with Sentria about this."
*Meanwhile in the base*
"What in the?!" Alexander yelled.
"Hmm? What's going on?" Calcifer asked.
"I don't know, I was checking the monitors for any Synthoids a bit but then these energy readings appeared out of nowhere."
"Ai-chan, what's going on?"
"It appears that an unknown foreign energy source has emitted from approximately 100 miles in the ocean. Due to the energy only being emitted for 1.2 seconds, there is not much data but it enough to detect its readings."
"Could it be that the Synthoids are planning something all the way out there?" Alexander asked.
"I don't think so, take a look at the brief readings. Recognized it yet?" Calcifer pointed out.
"Wait, these readings... could it be?"
"It exactly as you suspect... This is the same kind of energy emitted from another Booster, more precisely... the Hydro Booster, Neptune."
-To Be Continued-
