*The Next Day*

Lincoln had finished getting ready for the day, he's now wearing a orange shirt under a black sleeveless jacket with blue jeans and black and white jordans, he was looking over the history of previous Kamen Riders on the tablet Riku gave him last night and found out there are a minimum of 39 Riders and coincidentally a new one appears each year but almost all information is classified for most people but since Riku's family is involved they have full access.

"Guess I'm the 40th Rider or something."

There wasn't much Lincoln can do on his free time considering he couldn't bring all of his stuff at the airport back home but he remembered that the cafe that Ryouma's friend runs is around and thought it couldn't hurt to check it out for a bit so he grabbed his phone and wallet and made his way there.

*Later*

Lincoln was standing outside the cafe and can see that the place hadn't opened yet but there was someone inside cleaning and preparing everything, a middle-aged man with brown hair and a small beard and wearing a white shirt, black pants, glasses, and an apron .

"Well I doubt there's a better opportunity than now."

Lincoln walked in and the bell above the door caught the employee's attention.

"Oh I'm sorry but we're not open yet."

"Uh I'm not a customer, I'm Lincoln Loud, I came here looking for a job."

"Oh yeah, I got a call from Ryouma earlier about you working here."

"I'm curious, exactly what did he say about me."

"Ryouma told me that you're an American student attending college here and are looking for a part-time job that doesn't interfere with classes or anything and how you're Kamen Rider Cyrus but don't worry, I understand you don't want too many people knowing your identity so my lips are sealed."

"I appreciate it, I really don't want anyone I know back home finding out the things I got involved with for now."

"It's not a problem, I'm Hayate Sugo the owner of this cafe but even though I really want to hire you, officially I need to evaluate if you can handle the workload."

"Oh, alright then what do I need to do?"

"First, go in the back and change into the uniform."

*Later*

Lincoln came back wearing the same outfit Hayate was wearing.

"Great I'm glad it fits, now it's still too early to open up so for now I want you to clean around to cafe and I'll judge how good you perform, no pressure."

"Not a problem."

Lincoln proceeded to to grab a wet towel and started to clean the tables and when that was done he then mopped the floors and did other chores around the cafe as well in a effective and swiftly matter, he had experience with clean before from helping around the apartment complex and the Mercado and somehow managed to clean everything within a matter of minutes and with an excellent job as well.

"Well done, I'm very impressed with how well and quickly you've clean everything and just in time too we're about to open, you're hired."

Throughout the day, everything was peaceful, having Lincoln working around the cafe put Hayate and his customers at ease with his calm presence and his work ethic made the day run by smoothly until closing time. Before leaving, Lincoln placed his uniform in his new locker and put his clothes back on and head back into the cafe where Hayate was waiting for him with a small brown envelope .

"You did great for you're first day, here, your first pay however the next one won't be for another month but if you work hard that should be enough to last you for the month and if you ever need time off from work because of school and/or monsters just ask and we're not open on weekends so enjoy you're time off." (It's Friday in this chapter)

"I'll keep that mind, thanks I'll see you on Monday then."

"Take care kid."

After that Lincoln left the cafe and decided to walk around the city for a bit while the night is still young but he underestimated the amount of people around, it was practically the same amount of people during the day at this hour.

"Now then, what shall I do."

Lincoln aimlessly walked the streets of town hoping to find something that catches his eyes until he spots someone in an alley who was currently being harassed by a group of thugs.

"A fine lady like you shouldn't be out alone with all that bling unless you're looking for trouble."

"Leave me alone, or else."

"Or else what, it's just you and us tonight how about we have a little fun."

"Alright the enough."

They all noticed Lincoln approaching and saw that his hair is white.

"Huh beat it old man, this is a friendly and private conversation."

"First off, I'm not old my hair is just naturally white and two I ain't walking away."

"You asked for it!"

A few of the thugs attempted to tackle Lincoln but was quick enough to dodge and when the opportunity came he used whatever knowledge he had on martial arts and attacked the thugs, taking them out one by one until they were all too exhausted to fight even further and Lincoln didn't even had to use his powers and it was probably a good thing as well.

*Huff* *Huff* "Damn it, let's get outta here, this guy's too tough."

"Come on guys."

Despite being defeated in a fight, they ran off leaving Lincoln and the woman alone.

"Are you alright madam?"

"I'm fine but what about you?"

"I'll be alright just glad you're fine, I'm Lincoln by the way."

"Asami, Asami Tendo."

"Tendo? you wouldn't be to a Usagi Tendo would you?"

"Yes actually, I'm her mother have you meet my daughter before?"

"Yeah we meet yesterday, she was rather unpleasant towards me and Riku because of an old rivalry and even tried to take me from her even though we're just friends but I gave her a good scare and so far she hadn't bothered me or Riku since."

*Sigh* "That does sound like her I apologizes on her behalf, even though half of our fortune is though my hand in work her father spoils her too much and I worry for her sometimes but I simply don't know what to do about her behavior nowadays."

"No offense but have you tried giving a stern lecture to the two of them and show a little authority."

"I have tried but I just couldn't get a strong poker face for it, my personality just can't make them take me seriously."

"Maybe you just need a little practice I can help if you liked, I have a little experience with having a serious face if I need one."

"Really, How?"

"Well I don't know if my methods might be the same but I learned to channel all of my anger into one focus to protect, it worked with my family, friends, and Riku."

"Channel my anger... into one focus?"

"Yeah, in this case you might want to focus on teaching your husband not to spoil her and your daughter not to act... entitled for everything for lack of better terms."

"That's not bad advice thank you."

"It's not a problem, if it doesn't go well let me know and I see what I can do."

Lincoln gives Asami his number and attempted to leave but Asami stopped him.

"Wait a second, why go out of your way to help me like this."

"To be honest, don't really have a reason but you seemed like a kind and trustworthy person unlike others, couldn't hurt to know someone like you around."

"Ok, I'll let you know if it works."

"Alright, see ya."

*The Next Day*

Lincoln was on his way to the Kasami household for some extra training, he knows that there were some weaponry in the arsenal he didn't get the chance to try out but he couldn't help but wonder if the situation with Asami had been solved yet but he didn't want to be more involved that he already was and eventually arrived in front of the house while he was thinking and saw Isuzu cleaning outside.

"Hmm, oh hey there Lincoln-kun."

"Hey Isuzu, is Riku around I'm trying to get some extra training in."

"Oh I'm sorry, but I asked her to go pick up some groceries earlier and hasn't come back yet but you can wait inside either the living room or the underground base, it's up to you."

"Ok thanks."

Lincoln proceeded inside towards the living room and opened the entrance to the based and all of the lights and computer turned on the moment he walked in.

"Riku did say that she had the system recognize me."

He then sat in front of the main computer and started browsing the data Riku gathered on himself as a Rider and then started to play a small game until his phone started ringing.

*Beep*

"Hello?"

"Hi Lincoln, it's Asami we meet the other night."

"Oh yeah I remember, how did your talk with your husband and daughter go."

"You're advice worked, my husband finally opened his eyes to reality and my daughter is finally learning to properly behave and I'm thinking about cutting her off temporary and make her get a job to make her know a little responsibility if I must."

"That's great news, I'm glad I was able to help."

"Nonetheless, you have my thanks I own you one and my daughter owns you an apology at some point so if you ever need something from our family or just want to have a social moment just give me a call, you will always have a friend in the Tendo family."

"That's good to know, bye now."

*beep*

After the call, Riku walked in through the entrance and saw Lincoln at the computer.

"Hey Lincoln-kun, what are you up to?"

"Well I believe I might have accidentally solved your rivalry problem with Usagi Tendo."

"Eh, how did you manage that?"

"I had an unexpected encounter with her mother Asami and helped her with a small problem and it led to this."

"I'm impressed, now, my mom told me you came by for some extra training."

"Yeah I wanted to use some one other weapons in the arsenal in the simulation before getting into a battle."

"Alright, I'll activate the simulation system you know what to do."

"yeah I got it"

*Flips Cyrus disk like a coin a catches it with other hand*

"CONFIRMED... CYRUS"

*Does signature Ace Savvy like pose as standby music plays*

"Henshin!"

*Presses button*

"LETS GO... CYRUS"

*Suit and armor materializes and attached itself to Lincoln*

"Alright Riku, you're the expert what am I using first?"

"How about you try out the shotgun?"

"Yes!"

*Presses and hold button*

"Shotgun!"

"TELEPORT... SHOTGUN"

A white and violet pump-action shotgun with its signature style similar to the blaster appeared and Lincoln grabs it.





"Oh sí, ahora esto se parece más." (Translate: Oh yeah, now this is more like it.")

"What?"

"It's Spanish."

"Huh, I'll see if I can add a translator so your helmet but anyways the shotgun has less range but more firepower and more area of attack than the blaster, you'll be able to take down more Cybots at close mid range and maybe push back Synthoids with a few shots and like the blaster, it was designed to use energy instead of bullets for every pump action."

"I'm assuming the charging function is different for the shotgun as well?"

"Yep, the blast of energy you shoot with the charging function has a explosion type effect when it hits with a large blast radius."

"Might be good for crowd control with Cybots in one area."

"Perhaps, let's test the theory."

A horde of holographic Cybots appeared Lincoln removed the disk from the belt and inserted on the shotgun and pumped it.

"CHARGED"

A ball of energy begin to manifest at the end of the barrel and quickly compressed together when it was completely charged up and Lincoln pulled the trigger shooting a smaller blast of energy but it was more powerful and created an explosion on impact when it hit on of the Cybots in the center and destroying all of the others in the process but Lincoln was startled by the intensity of the explosion.

"Maybe next time I should take a step back or two."

*Puts Cyrus disk back on the belt and places shotgun in the center*

"RETURN"

"Well that's done, moving on."

"Well there is one last thing in the arsenal, an assault riffle."

"What makes this one different?"

"The assault riffle has more range and is more potent than the blaster so it will be able to pierce through a Synthoid's body or at least its defenses not to mention you can switch between single-shot, three-round burst, or full auto and the aiming system in your helmet can help you become more accurate and precise."

*Presses and hold button*

"Rifle!"

"TELEPORT... RIFLE"

Once again, an assault riffle with a similar design to the blaster and shotgun appeared and Lincoln grabs it.





"Sweet"

*Meanwhile in another dimension*

"Sentria, did you find a worthy combatant?" the king asked.

"I have my lord, Thorn to me."

A large green horned monster with blueish silver armor with thorns, brown bracers with spikes, and 2 blades as hands walked into the throne room.



"Commander Thorn ready to serve you my lord."

"Go to the earth dimension and cause as much chaos as possible and deafeat the Kamen Rider."

"As you command my lord."

Commander Thorn then exited the throne room leaving the King and Sentria alone.

"Have you found a way to harness the dimension energy and direct it towards a portal?"

"I am currently building some devices for that, it'll be done within the next hour as long nobody interrupts my work."

"Get to it then, and for your sake, I hope it will work otherwise I will use your skin as a new cape."

"Y-Yes my lord."

Sentria quickly left the room and the king turned and pointed towards one of the Cybots on guard.

"You, get General Graves in here stat."

The Cybot saluted and quick rushed out to get General Graves.

*Back with Lincoln and Riku*

"CANCEL"

"Hey Riku, you mind if I ask a personal question?"

"About what?"

"Your brother."

Riku was silent for a moment.

"Look I'm sorry but I know your brother was the previous Rider before me but I don't anything about him and there wasn't anything in the database on the tablet you gave me, I shared my story but you haven't told me yours."

"...My brother was the best, he would always find a way to help everyone without a thought for himself sometimes especially it was about me whether I asked him or not but in the end it would put a smile on my face with always made him happy."

"He's practically, the same as me before the incident" Lincoln thought.

"One day, he awakened his powers and became Kamen Rider... Nexus and would charge ahead towards battle with me supporting here from the base but as I mentioned before, he sacrificed himself so that the Synthoid empire wouldn't invade our dimension for long time but unfortunately very small forces with slip through the crack every once in a while but now are growing more frequent it makes think whether his death was worth it and with you fighting out there, it feels the same and I worry about that."

"Riku, I can't promise that I'll be alright every time I head into battle but that doesn't mean I won't try to do what I can with the best of my abilities and your my friend both with or without the helmet so your supports helps me even more so now on, let's work together to give our all to help protect our world.

"...Ok, we can do it together."

Suddenly, alarms went off in the base and Riku rushed to the main computer saw once again sees Cybots invading but then sees Commander Thorn fighting with them.

"We can tell more stories later, Cybots are attacking Machida but this time there is a Synthoid."

"CONFIRMED... CYRUS"

"Don't worry I'm on it... henshin!"

"LETS GO... CYRUS"

Once Lincoln transformed, he hopped onto his bike, activated the GPS and quickly drove through the tunnel doors towards the location of the attack.

"Stay safe."

*Ring Ring*

"Hm?"

Riku turned towards the direction of the ringing and sees that Lincoln left his phone on the computer counter and that someone was calling him, Riku checks the name on who and sees that Bobby was calling him, she knew it was rude to answer someone else's phone but Lincoln was busy dealing with the attack so she picked it up in his place.

"Hello?"

"Huh, who's this and where's Lincoln?"

"My name is Riku and Lincoln is occupied... with work at the moment and it's currently very busy."

"Oh ok, I can call back later."

"I'll make sure to tell him that you called."

"Make sure to tell him that I have some important news to tell him."

"Will do, bye bye."

*Beep*
