Amidst the celestial clouds, INDRA, the king of the Devas, stood with a stern expression as he observed the events unfolding below. His eyes were fixed on the battlefield outside Hastinapur where Jarasandha's army clashed with Bhishma. He also noticed the Asuras sneaky movements towards the city, planning an attack while Bhishma was distracted.

His son, Jayant, approached with concern. "Pitashree, instead of just watching, why don't you go and help?"

As if the idea of helping mortals was beneath him, Indra turned to his son, a proud and aloof demeanor evident in his stance. "Why should I help? I do not wish to involve myself in the matters of the mortal world."

Jayant, already familiar with his father's pride, sighed and said, "Well, first - Vritrasura is a threat to all the three worlds. Second - Karna is your nephew. Third - Tatshree Vivasvan will not be happy if he finds out that you refused to help his youngest son."

Indra's expression hardened, and he spoke with superiority, "First - if Vritrasura attacks us Devas, I will fight. Second - Karna may be my nephew, but until it is a matter of life and death, I will not interfere. Third - JYESTH WILL NOT KNOW, and if Jyesth wants, he is more than capable of helping his own son."

Jayant muttered to himself, "Let's see if you will say the same in front of Tatshree if he were here."

Indra, hearing Jayant's muttering, chose to ignore it, maintaining his proud and detached demeanor as he continued to watch the events unfold below, unmoved by the plight of the mortals.

After a moment, Indra turned to Jayant with a thoughtful look. "Gather everyone for a meeting. Tell them I wish to discuss about Vritrasura." Indra then added, "I will inform our family members about the meeting so you inform the rest of the devas."

Hastinapur - The Asuras' Plot

At the border of Hastinapur, hidden within the dense forest, the Asuras gathered.

Kushada, the loyal commander to King Dakshara and the young prince Daksha, stood at the forefront.

Beside him were the rest of the Asuras - those who had willingly joined Vritrasura after witnessing his power and others who remained loyal to the old king Dakshara and the young prince Daksha, just like Kushada.

A discontented Asura, Dritarda, spoke up, his tone dripping with impatience, "What are we waiting for here... Instead of searching for the Suryaputra?"

Kushada turned to him, irritated. "You want to go there, scare everyone and hurt them while you look for the child?"

Dritarda scoffed, "Waiting or not harming anyone was not the plan of Vritrasura. Our mission is to cause chaos while searching for the Suryaputra and take him to Vritrasura while Jarasandha keeps Bhishma occupied."

Anger flared in Kushada's eyes. "Dritarda!!! Did you forget our king, Dakshara, so quickly just because Vritrasura appeared out of nowhere? DAKSHA ONLY AGREED TO SURRENDER TO VRITRASURA TO PROTECT US, NOT TO BECOME HIS PAWNS AND DO HIS BIDDING."

Dritarda sneered, "After seeing Vritrasura's power, you still talk like a fool? I chose to side with Vritrasura. And I only came here with you to take that Suryaputra and show my loyalty to Vritrasura, not waste my time here."

Some Asuras nodded in agreement, supporting Dritarda.

While others who remained loyal to Dakshara fiercely debated, "We are not fools. It is you, who are the fool to join Vritrasura. Don't you know that his release itself means his downfall has already begun?"

Another loyal Asura supported, "Yes, the prophecy is clear. Vritrasura's reign is temporary and will end in disaster."

Dritarda irritated, said, "Let's go according to the plan made by Vritrasura."

Kushada grabbed him by the neck, bringing their faces close. "I don't care if you joined Vritrasura to prove yourself. For years, under Dakshara, we followed the rule of not harming the innocent. While you're under my command, you will do as I say."

Dritarda's tone was defiant. "Seriously? If we fail, then it's not just you but everyone who is involved will face Vritrasura's wrath."

Kushada released him and, seeing the argument escalating, thought of his conversation with Dakshara before he came here.

Varuka, second-in-command, approached Kushada, "Let's just get this done. You also know we cannot return empty-handed. Vritrasura warned us not to fail... Think about everyone involved."

Kushada, understanding Varuka's point, nodded, then addressed the Asuras,

"Listen carefully. We will split into three groups.

- One group will create distractions and minor chaos on the outskirts to keep the guards or soldiers occupied.

- The second group will infiltrate the city and gather information about the Suryaputra's whereabouts.

- The third group will remain hidden, ready to provide support if needed."

He paused, letting his words sink in. "Remember, our goal is to find the Suryaputra without causing unnecessary harm. IF WE CAN RETRIEVE HIM WITHOUT DRAWING ATTENTION, WE WILL. IF NOT, WE WILL CREATE CHAOS BUT ENSURE NO INNOCENTS ARE HARMED."

Dritarda muttered under his breath, but Kushada ignored him, his gaze unwavering. "Varuka, you will lead the first group. Dritarda, you will lead the second. I will observe the third group and coordinate our efforts. Move out!"

As the Asuras dispersed into their assigned groups, Kushada watched with a mix of determination and apprehension. He knew the risks, but he also knew that failure was not an option. The fate of the Asura's and their loyalty to Dakshara and Daksha depended on the success of this mission or HIS OWN MISSION.

The Asuras dispersed into their assigned groups, each set out with determination and a clear objective in mind.

GROUP ONE - THE DISTRACTORS

Varuka led the first group towards the outskirts of Hastinapur. Their task was to create distractions and minor chaos, enough to draw attention away from the main plan but not enough to cause significant harm.

Varuka signaled his group to spread out. They began by setting small fires in the forest, creating plumes of smoke that would surely attract the attention of the city's guards. As the flames grew, Varuka and his team used their magic to create illusions of more Asuras, making it appear as though a larger force was attacking.

The guards at Hastinapur's gates sounded alarms, rushing out to address the perceived threat. The distraction was working.

One guard, realizing the severity of the situation, turned to another and said, "Go immediately and inform Maharaj Dhritarashtra."

GROUP TWO - THE INFILTRATORS

Dritarda, displeased with Kushada's plan and angry at being assigned a less aggressive role, split his team into two units.

He addressed one unit with a sharp tone, "You follow Kushada's orders and gather information discreetly. And the rest of you wait here."

As the Asuras left to gather information, Dritarda noticed a figure in the shadows - Jarasandha.

He started to leave when one of the Asuras asked, "Where are you going?"

Dritarda replied, masking his true intentions, "I need to check something. I will be back."

The Asura nodded, trusting him.

The ones who left to gather information showed their skills. Being disciples of Shukracharya - the Asura guru who had taught them well - they were skilled in Maya and could disguise themselves as ordinary humans. They blended into the city's populace, discreetly asking about the Suryaputra.

The Asuras, now in human guise, moved among the people, gathering information discreetly.

One disguised Asura approached a woman, "I heard there's a Suryaputra in Hastinapur. Do you know where he is?"

The woman looked confused, "Suryaputra? I have never heard of such a person." As the Asura walked away, her expression turned suspicious.

Another Asura, disguised as a traveler, asked a man, "Do you know about a child with divine Kavach Kundals?"

The man shook his head, "Kavach? I don't know. Why do you ask?" As soon as the Asura left, the man's eyes narrowed in suspicion, remembering the royal decree to keep Karna's identity a secret.

Unbeknownst to the Asuras, the royals had instructed the people to keep Karna's identity as a Suryaputra with divine Kavach Kundals secret two years ago when they found out about Vritrasura. This was why the people did not reveal anything to the Asuras and grew suspicious instead.

The people, suspecting something was wrong, decided to inform Maharaj Dhritarashtra immediately.

GROUP THREE - THE PROTECTORS

Once the first two groups departed, Kushada looked at the remaining Asuras in front him. He made sure that the remaining Asuras were those loyal to Dakshara. He addressed them,

"Listen carefully - OUR ACTUAL MISSION IS TO FIND DAKSHA."

Hearing this, one of them, surprised asked "Daksha? What do you mean?"

Another one ask, "What happened to Daksha? He should be in Asura lok right?"

Kushada then began to recount his conversation with Dakshara before he came here.

Flashback - With Dakshara

As night descended, the palace was enveloped in silence. Daksha, having decided to take matters into his own hands, had slipped out of his room and made his way towards Hastinapur.

Dakshara, entered Daksha's room to check on his son and found it empty.

Panic surged through Dakshara as he saw the room in disarray. He immediately called for Kushada.

"Kushada!" Dakshara's voice echoed with urgency. "Where is Daksha? I told you to make sure he stayed in his room. Why is he not here?"

Kushada, who had been preparing to leave, rushed to the room. His eyes widened in shock as he searched the room frantically. "I... I don't know. I told him to stay here. He must have left the room despite my instructions."

Kushada's mind raced back to his conversation with Daksha earlier. "He wanted to come with me to Hastinapur," he said, his voice tinged with frustration. "I refused him and told him not to step out of this room, but it seems he must have ignored me."

Dakshara's face grew dark with anger and worry. "This boy cannot even stay in one place. I'm sure he's on his way to Hastinapur!"

Kushada, determined to rectify the situation, said, "I will go after him. I'm sure he hasn't gone far, I can catch up with him before he gets too far."

Dakshara stopped Kushada before he could leave. "No, wait. If Vritrasura learns that Daksha has gone missing, he will suspect something and might do something more dangerous. If Vritrasura's plans fail because of Daksha, he will not hesitate to come after my son. It's better if Vritrasura remains unaware of Daksha's absence and thinks Daksha is still here."

Kushada nodded in understanding. "So, What should I do?"

Dakshara's voice softened with concern as he added, "When you go to Hastinapur... I need you to find Daksha and bring him back safely. Make sure he does not do anything reckless. I just want my son back unharmed."

Kushada nodded with resolve. "I will find Daksha and bring him back safe."

As Kushada turned to leave, Dakshara's voice stopped him once more. "Try not to harm any innocent people. DAKSHA WOULD NOT STAY STILL IF HE SEES ANYONE GETTING HURT."

Kushada gave a firm nod. "Understood. I will be careful."

With that, Kushada departed to find Daksha and ensure his safe return, while Dakshara anxiously awaited news of his son's safe return.

Flashback end -

Kushada looked at his loyal Asuras, "I suspect Daksha is here in Hastinapur and will do anything to stop Vritrasura's plan. We need to find him before he does something and brings danger upon himself."

The other Asuras nodded in agreement, their loyalty to Dakshara evident in their determined expressions.

---------------------------------------------------------

Karna entered the royal sabha with a determined stride. He quickly spotted Dhritarashtra, Vidur, and Sakuni gathered in intense discussion. The atmosphere was tense, the air thick with anticipation.

Vidur was the first to notice Karna's arrival. "Karna, what brings you here?"

Karna's gaze swept over the three men. He held up the letter and spoke, "I have a letter. It was given to me by someone named Daksha. He told me to give this to someone I trust."

Sakuni, thinking Karna would hand the letter to him, extended his hand to take it. "Let me see that."

But Karna crossed Shakuni and went to his father, Dhritarashtra. He placed the letter in Dhritarashtra's hand and said, "Pitashree, I trust you. You can give this to whom you trust."

Dhritarashtra smiled, then gave the letter to Vidur.

Karna looked towards the door and saw Ashwathama gesturing for him to come outside. Karna left the sabha.

Once Karna left, Dhritarashtra said, "Vidur, read it aloud."

Vidur unrolled the message and read, "Jarasandha is an ally of Vritrasura. The Asuras are searching for the Suryaputra with divine Kavach Kundals."

Sakuni's eyes widened. He whispered, "Vritrasura?"

Dhritarashtra, alarmed, asked, "Asuras searching for Karna?"

Vidur quickly said, "Jyesth, I was the one who told Jarasandha about Karna when I went to ask him about Magadha's involvement in the attack on Karna... I didn't know he was an ally of Vritrasura. But I don't understand - why did Jarasandha try to warn me about Vritrasura?"

Sakuni interjected, "Mahamantri Vidur, this is not the time for speculation."

Vidur turned to Dhritarashtra and said, "Jyesth, if what is said in this letter is true, then we must get Karna to safety immediately."

Sakuni added with his characteristic cunning, "Jija Shree, but who is this Daksha who gave the letter to Karna? And why did he not deliver it himself? Can we trust this person?"

Before Dhritarashtra could respond, a guard rushed in, panic-stricken. "Maharaj Dhritarashtra, the Asuras are attacking from the borders. There are so many of them!"

Before they could fully grasp the situation, another guard entered, bringing with him a few people. One of the them spoke urgently, "Maharaj, some people are asking about Suryaputra and someone with Kavach Kundals. Since no one in Hastinapur talks about Yuvraj being a Suryaputra with Kavach Kundals, we were suspicious of them and came to inform you."

Dhritarashtra, Vidur, and Sakuni now fully believed what was in the letter.

Dhritarashtra immediately said with urgency, "Vidur, deploy troops in groups immediately to stop the Asuras."

Sakuni said, "Jija Shree, with your permission, I will lead them against the Asuras."

Dhritarashtra agreed. "Vidur, Karna just left. Make sure he is inside the palace and increase the security."

Vidur responded, "Yes, Jyesth."

Sakuni and Vidur left.

After sometime...

Satyavati, Ambika, and Ambalika rushed in, exclaiming,

"Putra Dhritarashtra! Gandhari..."

---------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile - With Daksha

On his way back to Hastinapur, Daksha's mind raced with thoughts of the ongoing chaos. "So now I know the plan! I just need to stop Vritrasura's plan from succeeding," he muttered to himself.

He then said aloud, "Ganga Putra Bhishma is on his way back to Hastin-" He stopped mid-sentence when he saw the Asuras at the border attacking, with Bhishma now fighting them.

Daksha's eyes narrowed as he spotted Varuka among the Asuras. "Varuka? What is he doing here? And I don't see Kushada anywhere... Where is he?"

Determined to intervene, Daksha moved towards Varuka to command him to stop the attack immediately.

However, before he could reach him, someone grabbed him from behind, covering his mouth and pulling him away. Daksha struggled to break free, but his captor's grip was firm.

Once they were away from the battlefield, Daksha was released. He immediately turned around, ready to curse his captor, only to see Kushada standing there with his arms crossed, flanked by a few other Asuras.

Seeing him, Daksha immediately hugged him tightly. Kushada hugged him back, then held Daksha by the shoulders, his expression filled with concern. "Are you okay?"

Daksha smiled, "Yes, what would happen to me?"

Kushada's concern turned to anger. "Do you even know how worried your father is? I told you to stay in your room but no -"

Daksha cut him off, not wanting to hear a lecture. "I know what I did and I have no regrets. As for Pitashree, I will convince him once I go back."

Kushada's expression softened, but his resolve remained firm. "Let's go, you are going back now. I told your father that I will bring you back safe." Saying this, Kushada moved forward to hold Daksha's hand.

But Daksha backed away, "I am not going anywhere till I complete my mission. I will not let Vritrasura's plan work."

Kushada's eyes widened in surprise and frustration. "Daksha, this is not the time for stubbornness!"

Daksha shook his head. "I am the prince of Asura Lok, and I have a responsibility. Vritrasura's plan must be stopped, and I intend to see it through. You can either help me or stand aside, but I am not leaving."

Kushada knew that Daksha was a stubborn kid, once he decided something, no one could stop him. He sighed and said, "Fine, what do you want to do now?"

One of the Asuras said, "What? But Vritrasura -"

Daksha interjected, "I will take the blame. You all don't have to worry."

Kushada and the other Asuras did not agree with Daksha taking the blame. "We can think of the consequences later," they said.

Kushada was about to say something when an Asura came and said urgently, "Dritarda has changed the plan. He sent the Asuras to hurt the people."

Kushada's face darkened with anger and worry. "What? Dritarda!!! This complicates things."

Daksha clenched his fists, his mind racing. When he heard the Asuras would be attacking the people, the first thing that came to his mind was his Radha Ma. Even if it was for one day, that woman had given him something he had longed for 16 years. All he could think of was, what if something happened to her? And Karna? RADHA MA SAID KARNA IS HER VASUSEN. IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO KARNA... WHAT IF RADHA MA STARTS TO HATE HIM?

"Radha Ma!!" Daksha whispered to himself.

Kushada looked at Daksha, surprised to hear the word 'Ma' from him. This was the first time he had heard Daksha say that word, and he could see something must have happened when Daksha came to Hastinapur.

Daksha immediately came out of his thoughts and said, "We need to act quickly."

Kushada nodded, seeing the resolve in Daksha's eyes. "Alright, we will stop them. But you stay close to me, Daksha. I will not let anything happen to you."

Daksha shook his head. "No, you go and stop Varuka. I will stop the Asuras who are attacking the people."

Kushada sent the other Asuras to stop Varuka and tell him about the change of plans.

He turned to Daksha and said, "I am not letting you out of my sight again. I told your father I WOULD BRING YOU BACK UNHARMED."

Daksha nodded in agreement, his mind already racing with plans to thwart Dritarda and Jarasandha. Together, they set off, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

MEANWHILE,

Dritarda met with Jarasandha in a secluded spot. "What are you doing here, Jarasandha? You were supposed to keep Ganga Putra Bhishma occupied, right?"

Jarasandha replied, frustration evident in his voice, "Things didn't go as planned. Bhishma is now heading back to Hastinapur. But that's not the worst of it."

Dritarda's eyes narrowed. "What do you mean?"

Jarasandha continued, "Daksha is in Hastinapur. He said he won't let us take the child."

Dritarda's eyes widened. "Daksha? What is he doing here?"

Jarasandha explained, "Why else would he be here if not to ruin Vritrasura's plans?"

Then Jarasandha smirked and started to manipulate Dritarda. "If you want to prove your loyalty to Vritrasura, we cannot go empty-handed. If you cannot succeed, then create enough chaos to cover your failure."

Jarasandha continued, "I know where the child is and how to make him willingly come to us, but I need your help and a distraction."

Dritarda, convinced by Jarasandha and wanting to do anything to get noticed by Vritrasura and prove his loyalty, agreed.

As Dritarda returned to his team, the Asuras who had gone to gather information reported back, "We couldn't find anything. The people are tight-lipped."

Dritarda, now with a new plan, said, "Change of plans. We will attack right now. Jarasandha knows where the child is, but for him to get the child, we need to create a distraction. Attack the people and create chaos."

They agreed, and DRITARDA LEFT TO ATTACK THE PEOPLE, LEAVING JARASANDHA TO CONTINUE WITH HIS PLANS.

And that's how the plan has been changed...

---------------------------------------------------------

Karna looked towards the door and saw Ashwathama gesturing for him to come outside. With a final glance at his father, Dhritarashtra, and Vidur, Karna left the sabha.

Outside, he found Ashwathama waiting for him, a troubled expression on his face. Karna approached him, concern evident in his eyes. "What is it, Ashwa?" he asked.

Ashwathama sighed deeply, his shoulders slumping. "My father will return in a few days... Mata said we will not be staying here anymore," he said sadly.

Karna was shocked and didn't know what to say, so he remained silent, processing the news.

Seeing Karna's reaction, Ashwathama quickly added, "How about I tell my father that I wish to stay with Mamashree Kripa?"

Karna's eyes lit up with hope. "You will do that?"

Ashwathama smiled and nodded. "Yes, I will. I don't know why... but... I just feel like I AM SUPPOSED TO BE WITH YOU, BY YOUR SIDE. Remember when we first met and became friends? That time also I felt the same, LIKE YOU NEEDED ME.... SO I HAVE DECIDED I WILL STAY IN HASTINAPUR ONLY. I will talk with my father about it."

Karna felt a surge of relief and gratitude. "Thank you, Ashwa. YOU - ARE - THE - BEST - FRIEND."

Ashwathama proudly says "YEAH, I KNOW THAT."

Karna smiled.

Karna and Ashwathama found out that Asuras were attacking the people outside. Without hesitation, they rushed towards the chaos.

As they made their way out, Kripacharya saw them and called out from a distance, "Where are you two going?"

Ignoring him, Karna and Ashwathama continued outside. Concerned, Kripacharya hurried to find Vidur.

Vidur was already looking for Karna when Kripacharya informed him about Karna and Ashwathama.

Without wasting a moment, Vidur rushed outside.

Outside, the scene was chaotic. The atmosphere turned to panic, with people fleeing in every direction, pushing each other in chaos. The Asuras attacked, focusing on children and women, creating a scene of terror.

Karna, witnessing the attack on innocent children, quickly said, "Ashwa, let's go and save them."

VIDUR, WITH HIS GOVARDHAN BOW AND SKILLED IN ARCHERY, STARTED FIGHTING DRITARDA.

Meanwhile, Radha, who was helping some children, found herself in danger as an Asura advanced towards her. Karna saw this and immediately ran towards her.

At the same time, another person, witnessing the chaos created by the Asuras, saw an Asura about to attack Radha. Without thinking, he rushed towards her as well.

The Asura was about to strike Radha when Karna stepped in front of her, and his Kavach appeared.

Seeing the Kavach, the Asura lunged at Karna.

Just as the Asura was about to strike Karna, someone stepped in between and the Asura's blow landed on this person's back, making him bleed from the wound.

Kushada seeing Daksha wounded shouted, "DAKSHA!!"

It was Daksha.

The Asura, taken aback upon realizing who he had attacked, immediately retreated his weapons, "Daksha?"

He lowered his head immediately and shuttered, "I did no..not see you, i thought..."

Ignoring his own pain, Daksha, his face clearly angry, shouted. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

As soon as the Asuras heard Daksha's authoritative voice, they stopped in their tracks.

Daksha asked again looking around at the other Asuras, "I asked something. ANSWER ME!!! What are you all doing? HARMING CHILDREN AND INNOCENT PEOPLE?"

The Asuras lowered their heads hearing Daksha's words.

One of the Asuras, tried to speak on behalf of everyone, "Daksha, we have no choice... Vritrasura has warned us -"

Daksha raised his hand and cut him off sharply, "ENOUGH!!! I don't want to hear anything about Vritrasura. Kushada! Gather everyone and leave. This is my order."

Dritara, who had sided with Vritrasura, sneered, "Daksha, you may have been our crown prince, but you are not anymore. So just leave, otherwise we will be forced to harm you as well."

Daksha raised his eyebrow, looking at Dritarda, "You will harm me? Go ahead... I will also see how you can even touch me!"

Hearing this, Dritarda got angry, he advanced towards Daksha, leaving Vidur behind.

But to his surprise, Kushada came in front of Daksha, followed by more than half of the Asuras who had come. They stood in front of Daksha, challenging Dritarda to fight them to reach Daksha.

Daksha smirked, He trusted his people, and it was because of this belief he came to Hastinapur thinking his presence is enough to stop them. And it was just proven that they are willing to stand against Vritrasura and be on his side if needed.

Daksha declared, "If you want to harm this child, you'll have to kill me first before you take him to Vritrasura."

Hearing Daksha's words, the Asuras, backed away immediately. Even though, some of the Asuras were following Vritrasura's orders, they could not bring themselves to harm Daksha.

Karna was watching everything. His respect for Daksha increased manifold. He looked at Daksha, who had stepped in front of him to protect him without hesitation.

While Daksha was busy talking to the Asuras,

Taking advantage of the distraction, Jarasandha entered the palace with some of his soldiers. They fought the guards inside and found Gandhari, who was easily recognized by Jarasandha because of her blindfold.

Jarasandha roughly grabbed Gandhari's hand, dragging her forcefully. The pressure caused her bangles to break, and the shards cutting into her flesh, making her hand bleed.

Gandhari's mind raced with confusion and fear.

Who is dragging me like this?

Why?

She struggled to free herself from Jarasandha's grip, feeling a wave of disgust at the unknown person holding her hand.

The pain from the glass shards was severe, but the indignity of being treated this way was even worse.

Despite the pain and her blindfold wet with tears, she managed to ask,

"Who are you? Why are you doing this to me?"

Jarasandha's mocking laughter echoed around her. "Maharani Gandhari, You are my leverage. Using you, I will force your son, the Suryaputra, to come to VRITRASURA."

Hearing Vritrasura'a name, Gandhari's heart raced.

Vritrasura? No, this can't be happening.

As Jarasandha dragged her out, her thoughts a whirlwind of fear and desperation.

Satyavati, Ambika and Ambalika had rushed to inform Dhritarashtra about Gandhari's abduction. They immediately rushed outside.

Bhishma and Sakuni arrived after Varuka had retreated, their eyes widening at the sight of Gandhari in such a state and Jarasandh's presence.

They shouted,

"JARASANDHA!"

"GANDHARI!!"

Jarasandha looked at Bhishma with a sinister grin. "DON'T EVEN THINK OF DOING ANYTHING. I'm NOT BOUND BY ANY RULES OR DECENCY RIGHT NOW. IF YOU TRY SOMETHING TO STOP ME, YOU WILL LOSE YOUR MAHARANI. I'M HERE TO TAKE THE YUVRAJ OF HASTINAPUR WITH ME, BY HOOK OR BY CROOK."

Gandhari felt humiliated and weak, knowing she was now in front of the whole of Hastinapur and children watching.

She tried to remove Jarasandha's hand, her fingers trembling from the pain.

Jarasandha looked at Karna, who was already glaring at him with fire in his eyes. For a moment, Jarasandha was scared by Karna's intense gaze, but he quickly composed himself,

"Yuvraj Aditya, is it? If you don't want your mother to get hurt, you better come with me willingly!!"

Seeing his mother dragged in such manner, Karna was filled with an uncontrollably rage. His anger increased with each passing second, and suddenly, his Kavach manifested, catching everyone's attention.

Karna stepped forward towards him mother.

Jarasandha smirked, thinking his plan had worked.

"TAKE YOUR FILTHY HANDS OFF MY MOTHER!!!" Karna spoke loudly, in a voice that sent chills through everyone present.

The voice was so fierce and the intensity of the command made Jarasandha, startled and frightened, he immediately let go of Gandhari.

She fell forward, but Karna caught her. He immediately asked, his voice CALM AND COMPLETELY DIFFERENT, "Mata? Are you okay?"

Gandhari, crying with her blindfold wet with tears, nodded yes and hugged Karna. The embrace from Gandhari calmed his anger, causing his Kavach to disappear.

As the Kavach faded, Jarasandha tried to grab Karna, but as he stepped forward, the Kavach reappeared due to his impure intentions. Even with the Kavach present, Jarasandha tried to pull Karna toward him.

Karna immediately seized Jarasandha's hand - the same hand that had dragged his mother a few minutes ago - and, using his boon to increase his strength manifold at will, he twisted Jarasandha's hand with such force that Jarasandha's bones broke.

Jarasandha, his hand throbbing in excruciating pain, looked at Karna with wide, fearful eyes. The intensity of the young prince's strength and the divine aura surrounding him left Jarasandha trembling.

"I apologize -" Jarasandha stammered, his voice quivering. "I apologize for my actions. I did not know you possessed such power."

Karna, still holding Jarasandha's broken hand firmly, stared at him with cold determination. "Apologies will not undo the harm you've caused."

Jarasandha, sensing the shift in the atmosphere and the seriousness in Karna's tone, fell to his knees before Gandhari, his face pale. He touched Gandhari's feet, his voice trembling. "Maharani Gandhari, I am deeply sorry. Please forgive me."

Karna's gaze remained fierce. "The pain and fear you've inflicted on my mother cannot be undone with mere apologies. Leave now and never return."

Jarasandha, seeing the resolve in Karna's eyes and understanding that further confrontation would be futile, nodded hastily and got up, backing away from Karna.

As Jarasandha turned to leave, his once confident demeanor replaced by an unmistakable fear of the young prince's power, he stopped upon hearing Karna's next words.

Karna looked at his mother's hand which was still bleeding from the glass shards. His voice, cold and emotionless, cut through the tense air.

"IF I EVER FACE YOU AGAIN, IT WILL BE THE LAST DAY OF YOUR LIFE. DO NOT MISTAKE MY RESTRAINT FOR WEAKNESS."

Jarasandha, his face ashen, hurriedly exited the scene, his pride shattered by the overwhelming power Karna had displayed.

As Jarasandha was crossing Daksha, Daksha held Jarasandha and pulled him close, wishpering in his ear,

"IF VRITRASURA FINDS OUT ABOUT KARNA'S IDENTITY - WHO EXACTLY HE IS, THEN I WILL TELL VRITRASURA ABOUT YOUR DECEIT TOWARDS HIM."

Jarasandha looked at Daksha and then at Karna and nodding slowly. His inner thoughts raced,

"SO, DAKSHA, YOU HAVE MADE YOURSELF AN ALLY OF HASTINAPUR AND SURYAPUTRA. Even if I do not tell about Karna for my own safety, I will not leave you... Let's see how Vritrasura reacts if he knows that because of you we failed."

Kushada, recognizing the need to restore order, instructed Varuka to leave with the remaining Asuras.

As the chaotic atmosphere began to calm, Karna held Gandhari's hand gently, her hand still bleeding form the glass shards. "Mata you are safe now. Let's go inside."

Gandhari nodded.

As Karna led Gandhari towards the palace, he stopped and looked at Daksha. "Come with me."

Kushada hesitated, reluctant to let Daksha go, but Radha, who had been beside Daksha, held his hand firmly and guided him inside.

Daksha tried to reassure Radha, "Radha ma, I am fine-"

Radha looked at Daksha, clearly angry. "Fine? You call this wound 'fine'?"

Daksha chose not to argue, aware that further discussion would only upset Radha more.

Kushada, nothing Radha's concern and Daksha calling Radha as 'Radha ma', remained silent, simply following them inside.

The royal family and the others moved inside the palace, their minds occupied with the gravity of the events that had transpired.

The people of Hastinapur, who had witnessed everything, whispered amongst themselves, their concern for the young prince growing with each passing moment.

The air was thick with the tension of near-disaster, and the realisation that Karna had been in mortal danger weighed heavily on them all.

Inside the palace, the family gathered in a spacious room. The atmosphere was somber, each person lost in their thoughts, contemplating the threat that had come so close to their beloved ones.

Bhishma, always the pillar of strength, turned to Vidur. "Vidur, bring the Raj Vaidya," he commanded his voice steady but urgent.

Before Vidur could leave, Karna spoke, his voice calm, "There is no need for the Raj Vaidya."

Sakuni, sitting nearby, looked at Karna. "Karna, Gandhari's hand is-" he stopped mid-sentence, his eyes widening as he saw what was happening in front of him.

Karna knelt beside Gandhari, taking her injured hand gently in his own. A soft, golden light emanated from his palms, enveloping Gandhari's wounds. The glass shards embedded in her skin began to dissolve, the cuts healing rapidly before everyone's eyes. The bleeding stopped, and her hand returned to its unblemished state, as if it had never been injured.

The room fell silent, everyone watching in awe.

Gandhari, feeling no pain in her hand anymore, "How did you-" she began, but Karna gently, squeezed her now-healed hands reassuringly.

"When I was at Rishi Bharadwaja's ashram, Rishi Kashyapa blessed me with the boon to heal anyone with just a touch of my hand." Karna said softly.

Karna's face grew serious. "Mata, I may have healed your outer wounds, but the inner turmoil, the pain you felt... I cannot heal that. Stay strong, Mata."

Gandhari nodded, a soft smile gracing her lips at her son's mature words.

Karna then moved in front of Daksha, who had been silently watching the scene unfold. He placed his hand on Daksha's back, where the would was still fresh. The same golden light enveloped the wound, and it healed rapidly, leaving only a faint scar.

Kushada, observing this, was surprised to see the wound completely healed but leaving a mark.

Karna looked at the scar and explained, "If the wound is severe, it leaves a scar. ASHWA ALSO HAS SCARS ON HIS HAND EVEN AFTER I HEALED HIM."

Daksha nodded in understanding. "Thank you for healing me. I WILL REPAY YOU ONE DAY."

Karna shook his head. "No, you tried to save me-"

Daksha interrupted, "I insist. Who knows, MAYBE YOU WILL NEED ME AGAIN IN THE FUTURE?"

Karna nodded, acknowledging Daksha's determination. "WHENEVER YOU NEED ME, I WILL BE BY YOUR SIDE. I GIVE YOU MY WORD."

Daksha looked at Karna, trying to understand him, but said nothing more.

Kushada stepped forward and told Daksha, "We have to go now."

Daksha nodded, but before they could leave, Vidur spoke up.

"Wait! That means you are the one who gave the letter to Karna, right?"

Daksha nodded.

Shakuni asked suspiciously, "Why did you not bring it yourself?"

Daksha just shrugged and replied calmly, "I was busy finding Vritrasura's plan so I could help or use it against him...." He said the last part with a smirk.

Dhritarashtra thanked Daksha for his help.

Bhishma, observing Daksha's commanding presence, asked, "Who are you?"

"I am Daksha, crown prince of Asura Lok," Daksha declared.

Daksha then went to Radha and hugged her. "Radha Ma, I have to go now. What I came here for is done. Thank you for everything. Even if it was just one day, I experienced something I have longed for sixteen years. I will cherish these memories all my life," he said, tears forming in his eyes and his voice cracking.

Radha hugged him back and said, "What do you mean one day, huh? You are welcome anytime."

She then added with motherly concern, "Eat well, sleep properly, and take care of yourself."

Daksha nodded and replied, "I will, Radha Ma. Thank you."

Kushada then stepped forward, thanking Radha for taking care of Daksha. "When he left without telling anyone, it made everyone worried. He is always reckless, always putting himself in danger,"

Daksha's eyes widened, realizing what would come next. Radha, shocked, asked, "You left without telling anyone? How worried your father must be!"

Daksha looked down, apologetic. "I'm sorry, Radha Ma. I promise I won't do something like that again."

With that, Daksha took his leave.

Daksha took a few steps but then thought of something. He looked at Bhishma and said, "I need to speak with you, Walk with me."

Bhishma left with Daksha and Kushada. They walked in silence until they reached the gates. Then Daksha said, "Vritrasura is aware that the Suryaputra with divine kawach and kundals is in Hastinapur. I CAN TRY TO LEAD HIM AWAY... But we Asuras are powerless against him."

He then turned to Bhishma and said, "I WILL NOT LET VRITRASURA DISCOVER THAT THE SURYAPUTRA - KARNA - IS THE YUVRAJ OF HASTINAPUR. BUT YOU MUST MAKE SURE NO ONE ELSE FINDS OUT. After today, I might not be able to help again."

Bhishma nodded in understanding. "Why are you helping?"

"It's the right thing to do," Daksha said simply.

Karna left the room, his mind preoccupied with the events of the day. As always, Ashwa followed him, wanting to ensure his friend was alright.

Bhishma returned and relayed what Daksha had said.

A heavy silence fell over the assembly.

"IT IS DECIDED," Dritharastra said with a heavy heart. "NO ONE WILL EVER SPEAK OF KARNA. HIS NAME WILL NOT BE SPOKEN AS IF HE NEVER EXISTED. THOSE WHO KNOW OF HIM MUST NEVER SPEAK OF HIM, AND THOSE WHO DO NOT KNOW MUST NEVER FIND OUT."

Sakuni frowned and asked, "I understand the reason why we are doing this, but how long can we hide?"

Just then, a radiant light filled the room, and SURYADEV appeared. Everyone in the assembly gasped and bowed their heads in reverence.

"Putri Gandhari," Suryadev addressed her gently, "I TOLD YOU I WOULD COME WHEN IT WAS TIME FOR KARNA TO START HIS TRAINING. I WISH TO TAKE HIM WITH ME."

Understanding the gravity of the situation, Gandhari nodded.

Before leaving, Suryadev looked at everyone in the room and said, "Till Karna returns to Hastinapur after completing his education."

Confused, everyone looked at each other. Suryadev clarified, "OH, YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT HOW LONG YOU HAVE TO HIDE THE TRUTH ABOUT KARNA. TILL THE DAY HE RETURNS TO HASTINAPUR AFTER COMPLETING HIS EDUCATION."

Gandhari then spoke firmly, "STARTING NOW, NO ONE WILL SPEAK OF KARNA EVER AGAIN UNTIL HE COMES BACK. MAKE SURE EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN HASTINAPUR KNOWS THIS."

---------------------------------------------------------

Karna paced in his room, thinking about something.

Ashwa, sitting quietly, watched him with concern. Finally, Ashwa spoke up. "Just say what's on your mind. Maybe I can help."

Karna stopped pacing and sat beside Ashwa. "Ashwa, if I can see the future... then... why didn't I foresee what happened today?"

Ashwa looked at Karna, puzzled. "What do you mean?"

Karna took a deep breath and tried to explain. "Every time I foresee something, I see people suffering or being treated unfairly. Mata Gandhari - crying in pain, Chote Pitashree - getting cursed, deciding to live in the forest and eventually his death, Ekalavya - getting rejected by your father, cutting his thumb off, and finally Suyo - being called a bad omen right after his birth."

Ashwa tried to understand. "Then why didn't you see Mata Gandhari being dragged by Jarasandha? You saw her in pain in a different situation, but not this."

"Exactly!" Karna exclaimed. "If I can truly see the future, then why didn't I foresee today's events? Ashwa, I feel like something is missing."

Ashwa thought for a moment and then suggested, "Let's write down everything we know so far about your visions and see if we can find something."

Karna agreed and they began noting their insights.

Karna started, "First - I saw Mata Gandhari in pain, but that never happened."

Ashwa continued, "Then you saw about your Chote Pitashree Pandu getting cursed, his decision to live in the forest and his death."

Karna nodded. "Yes, but Chote Pitashree said he will come back. If he returns, he will not die in the forest as I saw... Right?"

Ashwa nodded, "TILL NOW HE HAS NOT YET RETURNED.... MAYBE WE STILL HAVE TO DO SOMETHING FOR HIM TO COME BACK?"

Karna replied, "Maybe.... But what?"

Ashwa said, "I don't know. Let's get back to the third vision about Ekalavya."

Karna nodded, but then he suddenly realized something. "Ashwa!! Ekalavya's vision - it's different!! Remember I told you I felt like there were two different possibilities, like two different reasons why your father rejected Ekalavya? But -"

Ashwa, understanding, continued what Karna was thinking. "But you saw only one outcome!! Two different possibilities but both leading to the same result - he will cut his thumb at last."

Karna nodded, "That's why Gurudev (Rishi Durvasa) said sometimes a change is better than prevention. No matter what the reason will be - even if it's not the reason I saw and something else - in the end, I cannot change the result, which is Ekalavya cutting his thumb."

Ashwa said, "And that's why Gurudev (Rishi Durvasa) said that maybe your presence will change something."

Then Ashwa thought of something and said, "Mitra Karna! What if - the vision of Mata Gandhari never happened because of your presence? Maybe your presence or actions have changed something which you did unknowingly that prevented it?"

Karna agreed.

Then Ashwa continued. "Okay, the fourth is about your brother Suyo."

Karna said, "Yes, and it happened exactly as I saw, and I already stopped the rumors and made sure no one will call him a bad omen."

Then Ashwa nodded and looked at what they have written so far. Suddenly, he realised something and said,

"Mitra Karna!! See this - Each vision you saw had a clear depiction of the person involved and the eventual outcome, except for Suyodhana's. You said you saw Mahamantri Vidur calling your brother a bad omen but nothing else about showing Suyo directly."

Karna nodded, and added, "And also all the visions had definitive end results - Mata Gandhari's pain, Chote Pitashree's death, Ekalavya's sacrifice... But Suyo's vision - I only saw him being called a bad omen but not the final result... WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED TO SUYO IF HE WAS NEGLECTED AND TREATED UNFAIRLY?..."

Ashwa thought for a moment and then said, "Mitra Karna, THIS MAKES SUYO'S FUTURE UNCERTAIN. And now if we look at it differently, you managed to stop the rumors about Suyodhana but everyone's perception can change over time... So I have a question - IS THIS CHANGE PERMANENT?"

Karna looked puzzled. "What do you mean?"

Ashwa explanied, "What if the uncertainty around Suyodhana's future means that his destiny is still being shaped? And we have to keep putting efforts into shaping Suyo's future positively and making sure that out actions continue to make a difference."

Karna felt a renewed sense of determination. "You're right, Ashwa. We have to make sure Suyodhana grows up surrounded by love and support. WE HAVE TO GUIDE HIM, PROTECT HIM, AND HELP HIM BECOME THE BEST VERSION OF HIMSELF. His future is uncertain, but our actions will shape it."

Ashwa nodded. "Not just Suyo's... Your decisions and actions are continuously shaping the future of all the people you saw in your visions. As you change something, the future is becoming more uncertain, just like how your Chote Pitashree has not come back yet, and we don't know what we should do for him to return safe without dying."

Karna sighed, the weight of his responsibilities pressing down on him. "It makes sense. But this brings us back to the original question - why didn't I see Mata Gandhari being dragged by Jarasandha?"

Just then, Suryadev appeared before them. Karna, seeing his father, ran to him and hugged him tightly. Ashwa stood by, surprised, but Suryadev gestured for him to join them. Ashwa smiled and hugged Suryadev as well.

After the embrace, Karna asked, "Pitashree, what are you doing here?"

Suryadev responded, "Putra Karna, it is time for your training. You will need to come with me. Say your goodbyes, and I will return tomorrow to take you."

Hearing this, Karna was happy and nodded. But Ashwa was not happy that Karna would leave.

Then Suryadev replied cryptically, "Sometimes, what is seen is bound to happen, but what is unseen holds the true power of change. The path you walk and the actions you take will reveal what is hidden. Trust in your journey, for it is the unseen steps that shape destiny."

Karna and Ashwa stood there, puzzled by Suryadev's words.

After Suryadev left, Ashwa turned to Karna. "What do you think he meant by that?"

Karna shrugged 🤷

Karna again resumed his pacing, thinking again about his visions and Suryadev's words - what they meant and why he saw them and why he saw some things and not others.

"Sometimes, What is seen is bound to happen," (Suryadev's words)

Then suddenly Karna whispered to himself, "What I see is bound to happen?"

Ashwa asked, "What?"

Karna said, "What if - what I see is bound to happen. What if - the visions are about significant events that are destined to happen no matter what?"

Ashwa asked, "Then why didn't you see what happened today? Is that not a significant event? Is that not supposed to happen?"

Karna nodded slowly. "I think.. Yes. The things I saw seemed to be the events that were already destined to happen. But what I didn't see, like what happened today.... Perhaps they were altered by me or someone else while changing what was meant to happen?"

Karna stopped pacing and looked at Ashwa. "So, if the future is bound to happen in certain ways, and my presence and actions might be changing the outcomes. Maybe that's why I didn't foresee what happened today - because they're still being shaped."

"What is unseen holds the true power of change" (Suryadev's words)

Ashwa's eyes lit up. "And Suryadev's words suggest that... What remains hidden holds the power to change things. If you can alter the course of destiny with your actions, maybe that's why some events remain unseen until they happen."

Karna nodded, a sense of understanding dawning on him. "So, it's not just about seeing the future but also about the choices we make. My actions could be shifting what's destined to happen and thus changing the future."

"The path you walk and the actions you take will reveal what is hidden." (Suryadev's words)

Ashwa agreed, "Exactly. The events you didn't foresee were influenced by choices - yours or others. Your journey and actions will shape and reveal what you did not see."

"Trust in your journey, for it is the unseen steps that shape destiny." (Suryadev's words)

Karna felt a sense of clarity and purpose. "Then I must trust in my path and the choices I make. They will shape the future. Maybe, through them, I can change the destiny of those who suffer and also face unknown challenges that will arise because of the changes I make."

Ashwa smiled, sensing Karna's resolve. "And I'll be with you every step of the way. Together, we'll navigate this journey and make a difference."

Karna then said, "Why didn't Pitashree explain this directly instead of talking to us in puzzles?"

Ashwa said, "Maybe he wants you to figure it out on your own?"

After a moment, Ashwa asked, "So, you will leave tomorrow..."

Karna nodded. "Ashwa, send me messages through arrow or Chirayu about everything happening here - how everyone is, if everything is fine, and all that."

Ashwa nodded. "I will. And you should also send me messages through arrow and don't even think of sending Chirayu... And if you see anything else, don't deal with it alone. We can change everything together."

Karna smiled warmly. "Did I tell you - you're the best friend?"

Ashwa smirked. "Yes, so many times. And I'm getting tired of hearing it."

Both laughed, their bond strengthened by the understanding and support they shared.

As their laughter faded, Karna grew thoughtful again. "Ashwa, I need to make sure everything is set before I leave. My mind is filled with so many uncertainties and responsibilities. I want to ensure that everything will be taken care of in my absence."

Ashwa reassured him, "You've already done a lot for everyone here. Your brothers will be safe with me. I'll make sure they're protected and guided well."

Karna nodded, feeling a bit more at ease. "Thank you, Ashwa. I trust you completely. It's just that there's so much to think about - what will happen to Suyodhana, how the future will unfold. I want to make sure that MY ABSENCE DOESN'T LEAVE ANY GAPS. If I'm not here, how will I change Suyo's-"

Ashwa cut him off, understanding Karna's dilemma. "Mitra Karna, I PROMISE YOU I WILL BE THERE WITH YOUR BROTHERS UNTIL YOU RETURN."

Karna smiled at Ashwa's words.

Amaravati - The capital of Indralok in Svarga.

In the grand Sabha hall of Swarg, Indra, the king of the gods, sits on his throne surrounded by other Devas.

The hall is majestic, adorned with intricate golden carvings and vibrant celestial tapestries, reflecting it's divine importance.

Among the attendees are Gandharvas, Devi Ganga, Vayudev, Agnidev, Hanuman and other Devas.

Indradev had asked everyone to gather here to discuss about the alarming news of Vritrasura's return and his actions in Asura Lok.

The atmosphere is tense, with murmurs of concern echoing through the room.

Indra is visibly anxious 😟, his eyes frequently darting towards the entrance, expecting Suryadev and his other family members to arrive.

The Devas whisper among themselves, noticing the absence of Suryadev and his family, along with other siblings and parents.

Indra mutters to himself, "Did Jyesth Bhrata Vivasvan forget about this meeting? I did tell him to come here, and I also informed the other family members. Why hasn't anyone arrived yet?"

Vayudev, a close friend, approaches Indra and says, "Mitra Indra, you are still here? I thought you would have gone to Suryalok."

Confused, Indra asks, "Mitra Vayu, why would I go there? I was the one who asked everyone to come here to talk about Vritrasura."

Vayudev says, "But I heard from MITRA ARYAMAN that Suryadev has called for a FAMILY MEETING IN SURYALOK - All your brothers and even your parents went there to discuss something important. You didn't know?"

Indra is shocked by this news. "WHAT?! Why was I not informed about this family meeting? No one said anything to me."

Indra's mind races with doubts and fears.

1) "Has Mata Aditi disowned me?" 😱

2) "Did Jyesth Bhrata Vivasvan forget that I am his brother too?" 🥺

3) "Has everyone forgotten that I am also a part of the family?" 😭

Agnidev, who never misses a chance to taunt Indra, overhears the conversation and steps forward with a smirk. "I asked VARUNA DEV about this sudden meeting in Suryalok. He just said Suryadev mentioned it was important and STRICTLY SAID ALL FAMILY MEMBERS SHOULD BE PRESENT THERE."

Agnidev looks at Indra and raises an eyebrow and taunting, "Looks like Suryadev forgot to send an invitation to his proud brother."

Indra, feeling a mix of irritation and frustration, snaps back, "No one asked you for your opinion, Agnidev.... What are you even doing here? Go and play with your fire."

Agnidev smirks slightly, then sarcastically responds, "You are the one who told everyone to gather here, which includes me as well Indra. - If you are so frustrated about not being in Suryalok, maybe you should have taken matters into your own hands and flown over there with your thunderbolts rather than staying here."

Before their bickering can escalate, Devi Ganga steps forward, her presence calming the tense atmosphere.

"Indradev," she begins, "Suryadev already knows everything about Vritrasura, which is why he did not come here."

She continues, "As the king of Devas, you presence is crucial here. Perhaps Suryadev did not inform you to ensure you fulfill your duties here."

Indra's thoughts, which had spiraled into fears of being abandoned or forgotten, are steadied by Devi Ganga's words. He begins to understand that his role as king might be the reason he was left out.

Indra looks at Agnidev and says with a smug grin, "See? As the king of gods, my presence here is more important than being in Suryalok. Jyesth Vivasvan knows this. I SUPPOSE NOT EVERYONE CAN BE AS INDISPENSABLE AS I AM."

Agnidev rolls his eyes but says nothing.

Meanwhile, Jayant is watching the scene with a smirk and is stopping himself from laughing at his father's words.

This is seen by Hanuman, who goes to Jayant and asks, "What is so funny? I would also like to know."

Jayant sees Hanuman and smiles, greeting him first, "Jai Shree Ram."

Hearing this, Hanuman's face lights up with joy.

Then Jayant says, "Mitra Hanuman, I am just laughing at my father. He doesn't know the real reason why he was not invited to Suryalok and is acting all proud."

Hanuman asks, "You know the reason why Suryadev did not invite his own brother?"

Jayant says, "I am not sure, but earlier during breakfast, I told Mata Shachi about how Pitashree refused to help Karna, and you know how ladies gossip."

He laughs, and Hanuman nods, agreeing to the gossip part.

Jayant continues, "Mata Shachi was worried about Karna and she asked Mata Saranyu and Chhaya, and they told Tatshree Vivasvan. I think that's why Pitashree is not invited."

Hanuman smiles but then asks, "Then Karna, is he okay?"

Jayant replies, "Yes."

The tension in the room eases slightly as the Devas shift their focus back to the urgent matter at hand - Vritrasura's return and the steps they need to take to confront this formidable threat.

---------------------------------------------------------

SURYALOK -

In the majestic halls of Suryalok, a grand assembly had gathered. The hall, adorned with radiant golden ornaments and celestial decorations, reflected the grandeur of this divine FAMILY MEETING.

RISHI KASHYAPA AND DEVI ADITI sat at the forefront, their divine presence commanding respect.

VISHWAKARMA, the celestial architect and the father of Saranyu and Chhaya, and father-in-law of Suryadev, was also present.

Beside them sat:

- SURYADEV, also known as Vivasvan, the eldest son, with his wife Saranyu and his second wife, Chhaya.

- Next to them was VARUNA DEV, the second son, with his wife Varuni.

- INDRA, the third son, was notably absent along with his wife Shachi and their children: Jayanta, Jayanti, Devasena. The reason for their absence was a point of concern and curiosity among those gathered.

- ARYAMAN, the youngest son of Kashyapa and Aditi, was present with his wife Usha.

All the younger generations were together:

- YAMA, accompanied by his wife Dhumorna.

- YAMI, twin of Yama,

- TAPTI,

Both Yami and Tapti unmarried and sat together.

- SHANI, with his wife Dhamini.

- The ASHWINI KUMARAS, Nastaya and Dasra, the youngest of the group and most pampered, known for their youthful energy and pranks, were also present.

As everyone settled in their places, the hall buzzed with conversations and discussions, a blend of divine intellect and familial warmth.

THE ABSENCE OF INDRA AND HIS FAMILY WAS KEENLY FELT.

Suryadev stood up from his place to address everyone, saying, "Now that everyone is here, I want to tell you the reason why I gathered our dear family."

Then Aryaman, the youngest, spoke up, "Jyesth..... Bhrata Indra has not come yet. Shouldn't we wait for him?"

Hearing Indra's name, Suryadev's expression darkened.

Angrily, he said, "DO NOT TAKE HIS NAME IN FRONT OF ME. I PURPOSELY DID NOT INVITE HIM HERE. HE IS NOT NEEDED."

Varunadev says, "But Jyesth, if Indra finds out about this meeting he will overthink and don't know what drama he will cause then."

Suryadev, with a stern expression, said, "HE IS UTTERLY DISPENSABLE. SOMEONE WHO IS COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY. DON'T GIVE HIM SUCH IMPORTANCE."

Everyone could see the anger in Suryadev's voice.

Devi Aditi, worried, asked, "Putra Vivasvan, what happened? Did Indra do something?"

Before Suryadev could respond, Rishi Kashyapa interjected, "I am sure he did something. Why else would my son Surya be angry?"

Aditi retorted, "Arya, How can you talk about 'my son Indra' like that?"

Rishi Kashyapa replied, "You just called him 'my son,' and supporting him and if I say the same for my son Surya, you get angry?"

Aditi, growing more agitated, said, "Don't talk nonsense, and don't say anything about my son Indra."

Seeing the drama, the younger generations were enjoying the most.

Suryadev just shook his head, thinking, "I did not even say why I am angry or why I did not invite Indra, and here they already started arguing."

Suryadev raised his hand to calm the room. "Mata Aditi, calm down. And if I tell you the reason, even you will be angry with your favorite son Indra - But right now, something else is more important - I want to talk about Karna."

Hearing Karna's name, everyone became alert and started asking questions.

Suryadev began to explain everything from the start. He told them about Karna's birth, revealing that Karna was a Suryaputra and had Mahadev's essence, and that he is also Mahadev's ansh, hidden from everyone because Mahadev said so. Suryadev shared why Mahadev chose Karna and mentioned Vritrasura being released and now looking for the two children the prophecy mentioned and that Vritrasura doesn't know that Karna is the only child. Suryadev also shared the threat to Karna.

(A/n :- I will reveal everything when needed according to the plot so please don't curse me for keeping the suspense and secrets....)

Varuna Dev then asked, "Jyesth, you still haven't said why you're angry with Indra?"

Suryadev sighed, "Oh, that."

And he finally explained why he was angry with Indra.

After hearing everything, Devi Aditi exclaimed, "How dare Indra do that? Is that what I taught him?"

Rishi Kashyapa, adding fuel to the fire, suggested, "Why don't we disown him now?"

Aditi immediately agreed, "Yes, I agree. Now I should disown him. Putra Vivasvan, from now on, you are my favorite son."

Suryadev smirked, thinking, "My poor Anuj, until now he only knew Mata's love. Now he will see Mata's anger."

Suryadev then addressed everyone, "Okay, now that you know everything, I don't want anyone to talk about this anymore. The reason I told you everything is because I am going to bring Karna here. It's time for his training, and I am sure everyone is eager to meet him."

The elder generation smiled, knowing that Karna would come to them now.

The younger generation, each excited, eagerly wanted to meet their youngest brother and were ready to pamper him.

---------------------------------------------------------

The next morning, after his Suryapuja, Karna bids farewell to everyone in Hastinapur.

When Karna comes before Bhishma, he says, "PITAMAH, I AM TRUSTING YOU TO TAKE CARE Of MY BROTHERS IN MY ABSENCE."

Bhishma nods solemnly.

Finally, Karna approaches his mother, Gandhari. He says, "Mata, I never questioned your devotion -why you blindfold yourself - nor will I ever do so... But, DON'T LET THIS BLINDFOLD MAKE YOU ACTUALLY BLIND TO EVERYTHING. While I am not here, you have to protect your children and be there for them if they face any injustice. I know a mother is the first who protects her children, who corrects them if they are wrong, and also stands up for them if they are being wronged."

Gandhari nodded and hugs Karna tightly, telling him to take care of himself and that she is waiting for the day he will return.

Karna then hugs Ashwathama.

With that, he leaves with Suryadev.

As they travel, KARNA REQUESTS SURYADEV TO TAKE HIM TO BHAGAWAN PARASURAM TO LEARN UNDER HIM.

FOR THE FIRST TIME, KARNA ASKED SOMETHING FROM HIM, AND SURYADEV, UNABLE TO REFUSE, AGREES.

THEY TRAVEL TO THE FOOT OF MAHENDRA GIRI, AS KARNA REQUESTED.

When they arrive, Karna says, "Pitashree, I will go from here on my own."

Suryadev looks at his son with pride and concern. "Remember to tell Bhagawan Parasuram that you are a SURYAPUTRA."

Karna smiles. "I will manage, Pitashree."

Suryadev watches Karna disappear into the distance, then returns to Suryalok, where he finds Saranyu and Chhaya waiting anxiously. As soon as he arrives, they look behind him, searching for someone.

Suryadev asks, "What are you both doing here?"

Saranyu says, "Arya, where is Karna? You went to bring him and came back alone?"

Chhaya adds, "Yes, Arya, from morning Jiji and I have been waiting for Karna. Why did you come alone?"

Suryadev explains, "Karna wants to learn under Bhagawan Parasuram, so I dropped him there."

Saranyu, angry, asks, "What?! You could have brought him here first, and after a few years, he could go wherever he wants. Why did you let him go? He's just 9 years old. What's the need for training now?"

Before Suryadev can explain himself, Saranyu says, "Chhaya, let's go."

Before leaving, they both look at Yama and say together, "Putra Yama, take your father to your abode. Until he brings Karna here, he can stay with you."

Suryadev, hearing their last words, tries to console his wives. "Wait, Saranyu, Chhaya, listen-"

Shani laughs and comes to Suryadev, putting a hand on his shoulder. "Pitashree, if you don't apologize or convince Mata, then for the coming 8 years, you will have to stay with Jyesth Bhrata Yama."

Yama steps forward, saying, "Pitashree, you are most welcome to stay with me. In fact, I will go now and make all the preparations for your stay."

Suryadev laughs nervously. "No need for that, Yama."

He quickly goes after his wives to convince them.

---------------------------------------------------------

Asura Lok - Vritrasura and Dakshara

Vritrasura had summoned Dakshara, who arrived promptly.

Vritrasura looked at Dakshara and asked, "Earlier that boy... He is your son?"

Dakshara replied, "Yes, he is Daksha."

Vritrasura nodded, his interest piqued, and inquired, "I don't see the queen. Where is his mother?"

Dakshara answered, "She was a normal human. She died after giving birth to Daksha."

Vritrasura's expression softened slightly. "I hope he doesn't turn out like me... I can see he will be a good king."

Dakshara, unsure of how Vritrasura would react, said, "You can be a good king as well if you -"

Vritrasura cut him off, his tone firm. "I HAVE COME TOO FAR TO CHANGE..... AND THERE'S NO POWER IN THE THREE WORLDS THAT CAN CHANGE ME..."

Dakshara replied cryptically, "THAT'S NOT TRUE... YOU ARE JUST NOT LOOKING FOR IT..."

Vritrasura remained silent, and a heavy silence fell between them.

Then Vritrasura asked something which Dakshara was trying to hide. "I did not see Daksha after the day I came here. Are you trying to hide him from me?"

Dakshara said nothing and remained silent.

Vritrasura commanded, "Go and bring him here-" But he stopped mid sentence when Jarasandha entered.

"Jarasandha!!! I hope you did not fail me this time," Vritrasura said.

Jarasandha looked down.

Seeing Jarasandha, Vritrasura understood he had failed.

Vritrasura's fury was palpable. He roared in anger, "You have failed to bring the child! Why?"

Soon, other Asuras arrived, including Dritarda, who was holding Daksha's hand and pushed him in front of Vritrasura.

Vritrasura raised an eyebrow, looking at Daksha and then at everyone present.

Jarasandha hesitated before speaking, "It was Daksha. We failed because of him. He stopped the Asuras and saved the Suryaputra."

Vritrasura angrily looked at Daksha, who stood without any regret for what he had done.

Anyone could see Vritrasura's angry, and it was clear he would not hesitate to punish anyone who would dare to oppose him.

Vritrasura looked at Dakshara and asked angrily, "He was not here all this time? And you were hiding this from me?"

Dakshara immediately tried to say something, but before he could, Vritrasura turned at Daksha and asked, "Why?"

Daksha, confused, "What?"

Vritrasura again asks, "Why did you save him? You didn't fear what I would do to you if I found out?"

Daksha laughed and said, "I SAVED HIM BECAUSE IT'S THE RIGHT THING TO DO. AND FEAR YOU? NO I DON'T... AND... AFTER ALL THE RUCKUS YOU STILL THINK THE SURYAPUTRA WILL STILL STAY IN HASTINAPUR. I -"

Dakshara immediately stopped his son from saying anything further and making Vritrasura more angry. He turned to Vritrasura pleading him, "Vritrasura, please spare my son for going against you."

Vritrasura angrily looked at Daksha and said, "GET OUT!!!! GET OUT OF MY SIGHT!! I BANISH YOU FROM ASURA LOK."

Daksha, shocked, "What!?"

Vritrasura continued, "If you ever come in front of me again, then that day I will kill your Father right in front your eyes. If you care about your father even a little bit, then go! Or if you are brave enough, then stay here for another minute and you will see my wrath."

Daksha clenched his fits and looked at Vritrasura, then turned and left.

As he was leaving, he heard Vritrasura's loud voice telling everyone else to get out of his sight as well.

Daksha was stopped by Kushada and his father.

Daksha looked at his father and tried to say something, "Pitashree I am sorry, I-"

Dakshara cuts him off, hugging him and saying, "I am just glad Vritrasura did not do anything to you. Now listen to me carefully, you will go to ....."

Daksha nodded to do as his father said, he turned to Kushada. "Take care of Pitashree and everyone," he instructed before leaving.

Same time - With Vritrasura

At that moment, someone approached Vritrasura and called out, "Vritra."

Already fuming with anger, Vritrasura looked at the person and snapped, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? I SAID I DO NOT WISH TO MEET YOU!"

The figure smiled gently. "It's been a long time, Vritra. How are you?"

Vritrasura stepped closer, his voice firm. "It's Vritrasura, not Vritra."

The figure, smiling warmly, responded, "To me, you'll always be Vritra. MY DAUGHTER named you Vritra, not Vritrasura."

Vritrasura's tone softened slightly. "PITAMAHI DITI... YOUR DAUGHTER... SHE IS NOT HERE. SO DO NOT EVER CALL ME VRITRA AGAIN."

The figure, now revealed as Diti, sighed and embraced Vritrasura.

Feeling the warmth of her hug, Vritrasura calmed down a bit.

"Why have you come?" Vritrasura asked.

Diti spoke softly, "Putra, you are blinded by revenge. I cannot let you continue down this path. Let go of this reven-"

Vritrasura interrupted her, his anger flaring again. "NO, IF YOU CAME HERE FOR THIS, THEN LEAVE!!!... I DON'T NEED ANYONE BY MY SIDE. LEAVE!!!"

Diti sighed deeply and asked, "Okay, Leave it then, I will not say anything.... tell me, WHY DID YOU LEAVE DAKSHA?"

Vritrasura turned away, his back facing her. "You must be mistaken... I banished him from Asura Lok, separated him from his father..."

Diti cut him off, her voice steady. "If anyone else had been in Daksha's place, would you have done the same to them? Would you just banish them as punishment for going against you?"

Vritrasura remained silent.

Diti pressed on, "DAKSHA REMINDS YOU Of YOUR MOTHER, RIGHT? THAT'S WHY YOU CANNOT BRING YOURSELF TO HURT HIM, ISN'T IT?"

Trying to hide his emotions, Vritrasura deflected, "WHATEVER. I DON'T HAVE TIME TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS. I HAVE TO FIND THOSE TWO CHILDREN MENTIONED IN THE PROPHECY."

Without another word, Vritrasura left.

Diti watched him leave, her heart heavy with concern. Just then, Dakshara approached her.

Diti asked, "Did you find anything about her?"

Dakshara shook his head. "NO... BUT I TOLD DAKSHA ABOUT HER. HE WILL TRY TO FIND WHERE SHE IS..."

Diti nodded, a sense of unease settling in her heart as she turned and left the place.
