[A rushing river can be seen as a feather falls into it, we're then shown a bridge as two people walk across it and a town off in the distance, a man sets off on his horse in carriage, revealing three people, two average looking guys, one in a green track suit and another in (Whatever you want to look like lol), and beside them is a blue haired girl with her head down moping. These three are Aqua, (Y/N), and Kazuma. Reincarnated from death to defeat the dreaded Devil King.]

(Y/N): "Woah.. this place looks cool!" [You say as you hold the headtaker close.]

Kazuma: "No way, we're really in another world! I can't believe it, so like, does that mean I get to learn magic and like go on real quests and stuff! I get to be a hero!"

[You look over and see that Aqua has still not gotten over what's happened.]

(Y/N): "Hey Aqua.. are you okay..?"

Kazuma: "Would you stop your whining! People are starting to stare and it's ruining the moment, so anyway now that we're here aren't you supposed to give me something? I mean look at us we're both still in our old clothes! We can't do what we're supposed to do in a fantasy world wearing clothes like these!"

[You glare at Kazuma.]

(Y/N): "Dude calm down."

Kazuma: "Why are you defending her!? She was literally making fun of us!"

(Y/N): "Yes, while that was uncalled for, you're just making it worse."

[She then wails and grabs onto you, causing you to drop the sword as she shakes you.]

Aqua: "(Y/N) HELP ME, I DON'T WANT TO BE STUCK WITH HIM WAAAHHHHAHA!"

[She shakes you around violently as you have to pry her off as you lean in.]

(Y/N): "Look I don't really want to put up with him either, looks like we're stuck for the long haul so just put up with him till we can get you back."

Kazuma: "Are you talking shit about me behind my back! Jeez if it's such an issue with you just go back! (Y/N) and I can manage this on our own."

Aqua: "Haven't you been paying attention!? I can't go back that's the problem! I'm stuck here with a creep-!" [She grabs onto your arm and wails.]

Aqua: "(Y/N) I don't know what to do-o-o!

(Y/N): "Calm down Aqua, all we have to do is find the guild so we can figure out where the heck we are and work from there."

[She looks up at you surprised.]

Aqua: "Hey that's a pretty good idea!"

Kazuma: "Pfft, whatever, let's just go before we get anymore weird looks."

[You both begin to walk off and turn back to Aqua, noticing her lagging behind.]

(Y/N): "You coming?"

Aqua: "Right behind you!~"

[As the three of you are walking Aqua speaks up, standing in between the both of you.]

Aqua: "Also I don't mind you guys calling me goddess, but I'm worried it'll cause a commotion here, call me Aqua instead!"

[Kazuma turns to her.]

Kazuma: "Hey since you're a goddess, you should know where something like an adventurer's guild is at!"

Aqua: "Nah sorry I don't! I deal with tons of worlds, I can't know every little detail about them."

[You and Kazuma sigh in annoyance as you continue on.]

(Y/N) and Kazuma's Thoughts: "Man she's useless..."

*Timeskip*

[The three of you eventually find the guild as you all look up at it.]

(Y/N): "Well, looks like this is the place."

[You hear a glass shatter from inside as Aqua jumps.]

Aqua: "Are we sure this is the right place..?"

[The three of you head in as a waitress with blonde hair turns to greet you.]

???: "Oh, welcome!~ If you're here to eat grab a seat where you can, and if you're looking for work, head on over to the counter!"

Kazuma: "Cool thanks a lot!"

[You look around and see a pretty nifty looking bar full of adventurers and waitresses, suddenly a guy in a red mohawk calls out to you.}

Mohawk: "Hey, never seen you around here before."

[Aqua squeals and holds onto your arm.]

Mohawk: "Ya'll got some weird ass clothes goin on over there."

[Kazuma's about to step forward but you beat him to the punch, not trusting whatever he's thinking of.]

(Y/N): "Yeah, we're from a far off place."

Aqua: "Yeah, like really far!"

[The two of you turn to her as she clings onto your arm still.]

(Y/N): "And well, we're here to defeat the Devil King!"

Mohawk: "Hm, if that's what you'll want that's what'll get." [He spins around to fully face you.]

Mohawk: "Welcome to the gates of hell! Guild admission desks' over there tough guy."

[He points behind him as you nod and walk off.]

Kazuma: "That went well."

Aqua: "How did you manage to convince him so easily like that?"

(Y/N): "Well, when you've been working at a convenience store for so long, you come to know how to handle all sorts of people."

Aqua: "You're a pretty intelligent guy (Y/N)! Weird how you managed to pepper spray yourself though."

[Your eye twitches.]

(Y/N): "It was an accident, I was in the heat of the moment.."

Kazuma: "Hey what about me!"

Aqua: "You were just a shut in neet."

Kazuma: "Look shut in and neet are totally different so stop calling me that name!"

[You decide to not correct him as the three of you eventually reach the admissions desk, where a woman with blonde hair and a shirt that shows too much cleavage greets you.]

???: "Hi, how can I help you three today?"

(Y/N): "How do we apply to become adventures?"

???: "I can help with that! Just pay the registration and I can get your paperwork started!"

Kazuma: "Oh awesome! Wait.. there's a registration fee..?" [He turns to Aqua.] "You got any money on you?"

[Of course, she shakes her head no.]

Aqua: "You dragged me here without any warning, so I didn't have a chance to grab my purse."

[You turn to the woman and smile awkwardly.]

(Y/N): "Just... give us a moment.."

???: "I understand."

*Scene Change*

[The three of you are seated at a table, silently contemplating on what to do as a waitress comes up.]

Waitress: "Are you three ready to order?"

Kazuma: "...Sorry, give us another minute please?"

Waitress: "Sure! Take your time."

Kazuma: "Great we're stuck, now what? If this was a game, we'd at least get some basic gear and enough cash to comfort us for a bit!"

[He gets an idea as he turns to you.]

Kazuma: "(Y/N), sell that sword you got so we can get some money!"

[You hold the headtaker close to you.]

(Y/N): "Hell no! I'm not paying for your mistake!"

[Aqua perks up and pouts.]

Aqua: "I'm not a mistake!"

(Y/N): "There has to be another way we can make some quick cash."

[Aqua slides out of her chair and sits up.]

Aqua: "Alright, looks like it's my turn now, watch how a goddess handles this crisis."

[She walks over to an older looking guy.]

Aqua: "Priest! What is your denomination?"

[He looks up at her confused.]

Aqua: "I am Aqua, worshipped by the noble religious order of Axis! The goddess of Aqua!" [She points at him.] "If thou one of my loyal followers..." [She bends over like a child about to confess to their parents they broke a window.] "I would really appreciate it if you could lend us some money..!"

Priest: "Actually I'm in the Eris sect."

[Aqua stiffens up in shock.]

Aqua: "...Oh, you are.. sorry to bother you.."

[She straightens herself and begins to walk away as the priest calls out to her.]

Priest: "Wait miss! You say you're with the Axis sect? According to the old stories the goddess Aqua is senior to the goddess Eris, I noticed earlier you couldn't cover the registration fee, so this must be fate!"

[He puts four coins on the table.]

Priest: "There, consider it a blessing from the lady Eris. Although you shouldn't impersonate a goddess no matter how devoted a follower you are!"

[She slowly walks up and takes the coins.]

Aqua: "...Sorry... thank you very much.. kind sir.."

[She comes back to the table with an annoyed Kazuma and a disappointed (Y/N).]

Kazuma: "What are you the goddess of begging?"

Aqua: "Hehe sorry about that... for some reason he didn't believe I'm really a goddess.. nice man though..!"

[She looks up at the ceiling looking like she's about to burst into tears again.]

Aqua: "He even pointed out that Eris is my junior, to think.. one of my subordinates followers took pity on me.. and lent me some money when I asked..!"

[She's about to cry again as you both stand up, she hands you the money as she holds onto your arm again for comfort.]

[You reapproach the girl from the counter, Aqua with her head in your arm still as Kazuma looks away, you give the woman and awkward smile.]

(Y/N): "We... have the money.."

???: "..Oh, okay."

[She looks away as you hand her the money bag.]

(Y/N)'s Thoughts: "She felt so bad she took the money without even looking at us.."

[She pulls out a weird ball being held up by some strange contraption.]

???: "Let me explain how all this works. Adventurer is a generic class and your skills are important, which brings us to your registration card. It keeps track of your level based on all the monsters you've killed, when your level increases you'll earn points you can trade in to learn new skills, work hard and you'll raise your level in no time! Onto the next step, would you please hold your hand over the crystal sir?"

[She nods at you as you walk forward and put your hand over the crystal.]

(Y/N): "Okay, lets see what we've got."

[The crystal starts to glow as it shoots a laser down onto the card writing stuff onto it.]

???: "Once its finished the evaluation process, you'll get your current stats! Based on those we'll see which class suits you best!"

[Your card finishes as she takes it.]

???: "Alright lets see your stats! (Y/N) (L/N), interesting name. Ah here we are! Great intelligence, poor luck, good speed, and amazing strength and durability!"

[She looks up at you, a smile on her face.]

???: "With these stats I recommend you become a Swordmaster!"

Kazuma: "Wait what!?"

[This catches the attention of some of the bar members.]

Guy 1: "Ain't that an Advanced class?"

Guy 2: "Those kinds are rare, especially in beginner towns!"

Girl 1: "I want him in my party!~"

Guy 3: "No mine!"

[You turn and see the woman awkwardly looking at you.]

(Y/N): "I'll take it.."

???: "Great!"

[She looks at Kazuma.]

???: "You're next sir."

[You walk back over with Aqua as Kazuma does his card, she looks at you with excitement.]

Aqua: "With your class, anyone would want to be apart of our party!"

[She hugs you tight.]

Aqua: "I'm glad to have you!"

[You chuckle and pat her head.]

(Y/N): "Thanks Aqua."

[Kazuma's finished as she takes his card.]

???: "Average across the board, your intelligence is high that's good. Oh wow your luck is way above average! But unfortunately that's not an essential stat for the adventurer class. With this much luck I'd recommend you be a merchant instead or something like that..."

[Aqua starts to chuckle as Kazuma loses his confident smile.]

Kazuma: *To Self* "She's trying to squash my dreams of becoming an adventurer, screw that!"

[He looks back at her.]

Kazuma: "No offense but, I'd still like to be an adventurer please..."

[She sees his dejected look as she approaches him.]

???: "Don't look so sad! Once you start leveling up you can pick something better!"

Kazuma: "Yeah, I sure hope so!"

[He looks at his card disappointed as you pat him on the back.]

(Y/N): "Don't worry man, I'm sure after a few quests you'll become a true adventurer."

[He looks at you, still upset.]

Kazuma: "Easy for you to say, you got a massive head start cuz of that sword!"

(Y/N): [You shrug.] "Hey, you had your choice to pick whatever you wanted, but you wanted to be petty and drag Aqua here."

[He sighs and looks down, knowing you're right.]

???: "Woah!?"

[You look over and see the girl looking at Aqua's card.]

???: "Your intelligence is below average, and your luck is even worse than (Y/N)'s, but even so the rest of your stats are unbelievably high!"

Aqua: "So does that mean I'm unbelievably amazing!?"

???: "No, amazing would be an understatement! The mage class requires intelligence so that's out of the question, but other than that you can be anything you want! Crusader, Swordmaster, Arch Priest! You can pick anyone of them!"

Aqua: "Well it's a shame there's no goddess class but what can you do?~ I shall settle for being an Arch Priest, who heals her allies!"

???: "I think that's a wonderful choice! It's very a versatile class with all types of healing and support spells, one that's strong enough to stand fearlessly on the front lines!"

[Everyone celebrates as she turns to face Aqua and you.]

???: "Best of luck to you Lady Aqua and Sir (Y/N), we look forward to your exploits!"

[Aqua turns and smiles as you return it.]

Girl 1: "A Swordmaster and and Arch Priest in the same party!?"

Guy 1: "They're pretty much unstoppable!"

Guy 2: "I've never even see an Arch Priest before!"

[Kazuma slumps and looks at the both of you as he grumbles to himself.]

Kazuma: "Look at them, they totally stole my thunder!"

[She spins you around holding onto your arm.]

Aqua: "(Y/N), Kazuma! Today we start our life of adventuring!"

Kazuma: "Oh really..? I thought you hated the whole idea of it."

Aqua: "I like this part of it though!"

[Kazuma sighs in defeat as he looks up at a statue.]

Kazuma: "Oh well, it hasn't been that bad, everything up until now has been about creating our characters anyway. Finally, our adventure is about to start!"

[Is what you all thought. In the end the three of you couldn't really do much with out money, so you had to work construction, Kazuma had to dig the stuff while you carried it, all the while Aqua was busy giving water to the workers, and since you couldn't really sleep in a hotel, you had to make do with a horse stable, which constantly smelt of shit. This went on over and over and over, the more you guys worked the more stuff you were able to afford, like food at the guild, a sheet for the stables. At one point you guys even held a party at the guild, which you then had to take Aqua out back, learning she pukes rainbows. This again continues over and over, until one night the three of you lay down in the stables, Aqua in between you and Kazuma. When he just randomly shoots up and yells out in annoyance.]

Kazuma: "God damn it!"

Aqua: "Did you have a bad dream?"

(Y/N): "Yeah what the hell man..?" [You say groggily as you sit up and look at him.]

Kazuma: "Aw geez, aw man..."

[Aqua sits up too looking at him.]

Aqua: "What's wrong, do you need to use the bathroom? (Y/N) or I can go with you if you're scared of the dark?"

Kazuma: "I am not! I just realized we've been-!"

[Suddenly a loud bang shakes the stables.]

Owner: "QUIET DOWN IN THERE!"

(Y/N), K, A: "SORRY WE'LL KEEP IT DOWN!"

*The Next Morning*

[The three of you are laying down bricks as Kazuma speaks up.]

Kazuma: "Man we didn't come here to be day laborers!"

(Y/N): "Have to say you're right man, this is worse than my old job back at the store, least there we had air conditioning. I haven't even been able to use my cool ass sword yet!" [You yell out in annoyance.]

Aqua: "Yeah you both are right! Hurry up and defeat the Devil King already so I can go back home!"

[You and Kazuma just sigh in annoyance.]

*Timeskip*

[You and Kazuma are taking a bath as he looks at you.]

Kazuma: "Hey (Y/N), you have to admit, even though Aqua's a dumbass, she's pretty hot."

[You turn to him and shrug.]

(Y/N): "Yeah, but I already had someone back home.. someone I was about to confess my feelings to.."

[Kazuma looks at you with pity as you step out and dry yourself.]

Kazuma: "That sucks man.."

[You glare at him.]

(Y/N): "Sucking would be an understatement." [You sigh.] "This life is a blessing and a curse.."

[Kazuma gets out and dries himself off as well.]

Kazuma: "Don't worry about it man. I'm sure you'll find someone who's perfect for ya in this life."

[You turn to him as she gives you a soft smile.]

(Y/N): "I hope your right.."

Kazuma: "What about you and Aqua? You two seem pretty close."

[You fully face him with a deadpanned expression.]

(Y/N): "I may be desperate, but I'm not desperate enough to date someone with the mentality of a preschooler."

[Kazuma shrugs.]

Kazuma: "Yeah you have a point."

[You both make your way out of the showers and outside, Kazuma taps you and points. You look and see Aqua sitting on the fountain drinking some water, you had to admit, at least in the lighting, she was pretty cute. But again, you'd never stoop as low as to date someone like that.. right?]

[You both approach her as she notices you.]

Aqua: "Oh hey you two, everything alright?"

Kazuma: "Yeah, shower was nice."

Aqua: "Say, I've been thinking about stuff. Whaddya say we leave town and do a kill quest, the three of us!"

(Y/N): "I know that you and I are pretty powerful, but we're not sure how much more powerful they are to us."

Aqua: "It'll be fine! As you said, as long as me and you are here, we have nothing to worry about!"

[She says as she gets up and wraps an arm around you.]

Aqua: "And if it gets bad you can always rely on me to do the heavy lifting!~"

Kazuma: "Admittedly that doesn't really make me feel better."

Aqua: "Have you just forgotten who I am?"

Kazuma: "Oh right, you're a goddess. Okay, you're on!"

Aqua: "Great! This'll be fun!"

(Y/N)'s Thoughts: "And with that, our new adventure in this world began, for real this time."

[Aqua goes to walk away, but slips and falls back into the fountain head first as you and Kazuma just shake your heads.]
